If we are now going to allow parents to kill their children on this side of birth for such a frivolous reason, where does the buck stop? If we can annihilate embryos, fetuses, newborns and the elderly when such are an inconvenience to society, then why not have our way also with any of those in any of the other stages of life when such are also an inconvenience to the world?

You give me one good reason why, if I can kill a child of mine for having a birth defect, why I can’t murder any man, woman or child on the street just because they look at me the wrong way. In other words, I want to know why I can’t murder others for petty reasons, but can eradicate newborns for a reason which approaches the level of the trivial. For although I would not call a birth defect a triviality, it would become such a thing if it were any less serious. And so if we have arrived at the point where we can kill children for this near-trivial reason, then how can anybody blame anybody else for murdering a human being for any real triviality? Because it is such a small leap to take from that to this.
