A Portrait of the
PRIESTHOOD
PRIESTHOOD
Three Priestly Ontologies
Blessed Charles de Foucauld taught that “A single Mass glorifies God more than could the praise of all the angels combined with the martyrdom of all men. The martyrdom of all men and the praise of all the angels is finite; one Mass, on the other hand, is infinite.” There is but one mediator between God and mankind, one sufficient Sacrifice, one Victim worthy of the Father. The Catholic priest is a participation in Him. Priests are words in the Word, gospels in the Gospel, icons of the Face who saves.

Father Antonio Anderson, s.o.l.t. has written an short incisive analysis of the Roman Catholic Priesthood
as it experienced in these troubled times. As valuable as his words are in understanding today’s priest,
his life and work among the poor of Nuevo Laredo, Mexico offer a far more valuable picture of
what today’s priest should be like. I commend this booklet to all who seek to
understand what it means to be a priest of Christ in today’s world.

Book Description
Publication Date: July 19, 2011
Father Anderson elucidates the identity of a priest on a solid philosophical and theological footing, while painting an accurate picture of the forces of secularization and relativism that attack that identity on a daily basis. In this presentation, priests are challenged to resist a “normal guy theology” and instead to live the gift they have received from God with grateful and generous hearts, i.e. to be men of God for others.”

I have heard of this priest. He works in the middle of extreme poverty, and speaks out against the satanic drug cartel which follows the “Santa Muerte.” It is a miracle he has not been killed already, this man is an, Übermensch. How he can write a book while doing that apostolate is incredible!
