Francis Sets A New Negative Record
At the general audience on January 31, Pope Francis scored the lowest-ever attendance at a Wednesday audience. Dominican Father Lawrence Lew from London was present and wrote on Twitter (February 2) that he “was struck by the low numbers”.
John Paul II had an average attendance of 32,000 people and Benedict XVI of 33,000. From January 2015 to December 2017 Francis averaged only 9,041. Vatican News edited the footage of the last audience showing only the first block of those present.
It seems that Francis (and his suite) has to learn it the hard way that his paleo-liberal ideology is a disaster for the Church, and for him as well.

If there were only one, he would increase his derogatory output and insult faithful Catholics.
The man will never for an instant take responsibility for a negative response to his apostasy.
It will only increase his resentment and vitriol.
This man is incapable of accepting responsibility, that would require humility, and that character trait is absent.
The decrease in numbers is your fault, you rigid, pharisaical sourpuss. 🙂
Yes it is a hopeful sign, I think. I know I would never go to one of PF audiences! However, I went to two of Pope John Paul’s audiences and when he came down the aisle to greet everyone, I was able to touch his arm, and see the Light of Christ in his eyes! What a moment that was! Praise be to God! Pray for us all, dear Pope St. John Paul the Great!!!!!
