Top pro-abort group knew about violations in ‘house of horrors’ clinic, but did nothing

PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania, January 20, 2011 (LifeSiteNews.com) –
Upon entering the building, investigators were hit by the stench of cat urine and the sight of drugged and moaning women lying on blood-stained blankets. Flea-ridden cats defecated freely on the bloodied floors.
The abortion equipment itself was broken, dirty, and rusty; downstairs, the dismembered remains of newborn and nearly-born children were stuffed into jars, bags, milk jugs, and cat food containers. Others shared space in a refrigerator-freezer with employees’ lunches.
This, according to a description by the Philadelphia Inquirer this week, was the scene that met Philadelphia police investigators last February when raiding abortionist Kermit Gosnell’s late-term abortion clinic – dubbed the “House of Horrors.” Upon returning, the investigators wore hazmat suits.
But just two months before, according to a Grand Jury report released this week, an inspector for the National Abortion Federation (NAF) walked into the same clinic to vet the facility for inclusion in the federation. While clinic workers testified that Gosnell cleaned up for the inspection, the NAF representative nonetheless recalled being appalled by the vastly inadequate treatment provided there.
But despite witnessing numerous violations of basic standards of care, the inspector never reported Gosnell – who was arrested this week and charged with 8 murders – to authorities.
The inspector, watching a few first-trimester procedures in Gosnell’s clinic, “noticed that no one was monitoring or taking vital signs of patients who were sedated during procedures,” wrote the jurors. “She asked Gosnell about the pulse oximeter that should have been used for monitoring, but he told her it was broken. Apparently, Karnamaya Mongar’s death a month earlier had not caused Gosnell to obtain equipment that worked.”
During a November 19 abortion, Mongar had been given extra pain medication when she complained of severe cramping, after which she began turning blue and lost a pulse. She was pronounced dead at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania later that day.
The inspector also noticed that the clinic kept insufficient records of patients, and failed to provide patients with information of the risks of medications or of the procedure. Out-of-state patients were offered a bed to recover – unattended – overnight following an abortion in a facility where bathrooms and exits were difficult to locate.
The jurors expressed shock that these observations would not have prompted the NAF inspector to take more drastic measures.
“We have to question why an evaluator from NAF, whose stated mission is to ensure safe, legal, and acceptable abortion care, and to promote health and justice for women, did not report Gosnell to authorities,” they wrote.
Jill Stanek, a registered nurse turned top pro-life blogger, pointed out Thursday that the NAF inspector had been submitted to more than just filthy conditions, but clearly witnessed “profuse illegalities” such as non-physicians giving sedation, and other violations of the law. “I submit that along with several Pennsylvania state agencies, NAF should also face charges of some sort,” said Stanek.
National Abortion Federation president Vicki Saporta said this week that Gosnell’s practice was “a total outlier” to the “very high quality care” of other abortion clinics. However, while acknowledging that Gosnell’s application was rejected in 2009, the NAF has apparently not yet provided an explanation for failing to report the facility.
The jurors also pointed to other failures of oversight by the Pennsylvania Department of Health and other agencies, which could have nipped Gosnell’s dangerous practice in the bud. Although forty-six lawsuits were filed against Gosnell, no complaints submitted to state regulators concerning the abortionist ended in disciplinary action, according to the Associated Press.
“Had state and local officials performed their duties properly, Gosnell’s clinic would have been shut down decades ago,” they wrote. “If inspectors had looked solely for violations of Pennsylvania’s abortion regulations, there would have been ample grounds to revoke the approval of Gosnell’s clinic as an abortion provider — as was demonstrated when DOH inspectors finally entered the facility in February 2010.”
Philadelphia District Attorney Seth Williams also accused the state’s Health Department of “utter disregard” for Gosnell’s patients, often impoverished and minority women.
While abortion supporters have distanced themselves from Gosnell’s appalling clinic conditions, the nation’s top abortion lobbies, as a rule, vigorously oppose regulations that subject abortion clinics to higher health standards.
Abortionist brutally murdered ‘hundreds’ of living newborns: clinic worker

A massive, photograph-laden Grand Jury Report released Wednesday has detailed the bone-chilling practices of a Philadelphia abortionist, who clinic workers testified had delivered “hundreds” of living, breathing newborn children before severing their spinal cords or slitting their necks to complete the abortions.
Abortionist Kermit Gosnell was arrested Wednesday for eight counts of murder. One of the charges was for the botched-abortion death of 41-year-old Karnamaya Mongar, a Nepalese refugee. The other seven were for children who police had discovered, by examining their remains, had been born alive and then killed.
District Attorney R. Seth Williams released the 281-page report that was the basis for the murder charges against Gosnell and nine of his associates. Included in that report were photos of some of Gosnell’s victims.
In the report, the Grand Jury notes that several agencies and groups became aware of what has become known as Gosnell’s “shop of horrors,” but did nothing. They also provide extremely explicit descriptions of botched abortions, late-term abortions and infanticides rarely seen in court documents.
“Pennsylvania law requires physicians to provide customary care for living babies outside the womb. Gosnell chose instead to slit their necks and store their bodies in various household containers, as if they were trash,” stated the report.
The report provided detailed testimony from clinic staff who said that “killing large, late-term babies who had been observed breathing and moving was a regular occurrence” at the filthy clinic: one staffer said such events happened “hundreds” of times.
Another clinic worker, Tina Baldwin, told the jurors that Gosnell once joked about a baby that was writhing as he cut its neck: “that’s what you call a chicken with its head cut off.”
According to clinic worker Kareema Cross, Gosnell resorted to regularly killing babies after birth because he was not skilled enough to kill the baby in utero with a digoxin injection, a usual means of late-term abortion.
The report noted that one unlicensed worker at the clinic attempted to justify Gosnell’s practice of cutting of the newborns’ spinal cords as a “partial-birth abortion.” The Grand Jury concluded that the two procedures were different, however, because sucking the brains out of the baby’s head in a partial-birth abortion occurred while the head was still inside the mother, and thus served to make delivery of the evacuated head easier, whereas Gosnell’s victims were killed “when there was clearly no need or medical reason to collapse the skull.”
The day after the death of Karnamaya Mongar, Gosnell had applied for membership to the National Abortion Federations, but failed to meet its requirements. Even though an NAF staff person spent several days in Gosnell’s abortion mill noting numerous violations, they failed to report him to the proper authorities, notes the document.
“Despite his various efforts to fool her, the evaluator from NAF readily noted that records were not properly kept, that risks were not explained, that patients were not monitored, that equipment was not available, that anesthesia was misused,” states the report. “Of course, she rejected Gosnell’s application. She just never told anyone in authority about all the horrible, dangerous things she had seen.”
While saying that “bureaucratic inertia is not exactly news,” the jurors said, “We think the reason no one acted is because the women in question were poor and of color, because the victims were infants without identities, and because the subject was the political football of abortion.”
The group also had a stern rebuke for regulatory organizations who looked the other way, giving their stamp of approval to his criminal practices.
The pro-life watchdog group Operation Rescue called for massive reforms in the way abortionists and abortion clinics are handled by regulatory agencies nationwide. Kermit Gosnell’s shop of horrors, they said, is certainly not the only abortion mill of this kind in operation in America.
“Operation Rescue calls for immediate emergency inspections of every abortion clinic in the nation. We have often said that if this were to ever happen, no abortion clinic would remain in operation because we have yet to discover one that adheres to all the laws that apply to them,” said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman.
“As the 38th memorial of Roe v. Wade approaches, it is time for Americans to consider the horrors of abortion and demand that government abolish this barbaric practice forever.”

The mainstream news reports about Philadelphia’s serial baby-killer Kermit Gosnell and his abortion clinic death squad only scratch the surface of his barbaric enterprise. You must, must, must read the entire, graphic, 281-page grand jury report (embedded after my column below) to fully fathom the systematic execution of hundreds of (not just seven) healthy, living, breathing, squirming, viable babies — along with an untold number of mothers who may have lost their lives in his sick, grimy chamber of horrors as well. It is explicit. It is enraging. It will haunt you.
Ask yourself why you are not hearing about which root causes and whose rhetoric are to blame for this four-decades-long massacre — just the tip of a blood-soaked iceberg defended by the predators of Planned Parenthood. You know the answer: If it doesn’t help the Left criminalize conservatism, it’s not worth discussing.
From the conclusion of the grand jury report: “It is not our job to say who should be fired or demoted. We believe, however, that anyone responsible for permitting Gosnell to operate as he did should face strong disciplinary action up to and including termination. This includes not only the people who failed to do the inspecting, the prosecuting, and the protecting, but also those at the top who obviously tolerated, or even encouraged, the inaction. The Department of State literally licensed Gosnell’s criminally dangerous behavior. DOH gave its stamp of approval to his facility. These agencies do not deserve the public’s trust. The fate of Karnamaya Mongar and countless babies with severed spinal cords is proof that people at those departments were not doing their jobs. Those charged with protecting the public must do better.”

Let’s give the “climate of hate” rhetoric a rest for a moment. It’s time to talk about the climate of death in which the abortion industry thrives unchecked. Dehumanizing rhetoric, rationalizing language, and a callous disregard for life have numbed America to its monstrous consequences. Consider the Philadelphia Horror.
In the City of Brotherly Love, hundreds of babies were murdered by a scissors-wielding monster over four decades. Whistleblowers informed public officials at all levels of the wanton killings of innocent life. But a parade of government health bureaucrats and advocates protecting the abortion racket looked the other way – until, that is, a Philadelphia grand jury finally exposed the infanticide factory run by abortionist Kermit B. Gosnell, M.D., and a crew of unlicensed, untrained butchers masquerading as noble providers of women’s “choice.” Prosecutors charged Gosnell and his death squad with multiple counts of murder, infanticide, conspiracy, abuse of corpse, theft, and other offenses.
The 281-page grand jury report (see full embedded document below) released Wednesday provides a bone-chilling account of how Gosnell’s “Women’s Medical Society” systematically preyed on poor, minority pregnant women and their live, viable babies. The report’s introduction lays out the criminal enterprise that claimed the lives of untold numbers of babies — and mothers:
“This case is about a doctor who killed babies and endangered women. What we mean is that he regularly and illegally delivered live, viable, babies in the third trimester of pregnancy – and then murdered these newborns by severing their spinal cords with scissors. The medical practice by which he carried out this business was a filthy fraud in which he overdosed his patients with dangerous drugs, spread venereal disease among them with infected instruments, perforated their wombs and bowels – and, on at least two occasions, caused their deaths. Over the years, many people came to know that something was going on here. But no one put a stop to it.”
Echoing the same kind of dark euphemisms plied by Planned Parenthood propagandists who refer to unborn life as “fetal and uterine material,” Gosnell referred to his deadly trade as “ensuring fetal demise.” Reminiscent of the word wizards who refer to the skull-crushing partial-birth abortion procedure as “intact dilation and evacuation” and “intrauterine cranial decompression,” Gosnell described his destruction of babies’ spinal cords as “snipping.”
He rationalized his macabre habit of cutting off dead babies’ feet and saving them in rows and rows of specimen jars as “research.”
His guilt-ridden employees then took photos of some of the victims before dumping them in shoe-boxes, paper bags, one-gallon spring-water bottles, and glass jars.
They weren’t the only ones who adopted a see-no-evil stance:
*The Pennsylvania Department of Health knew of clinic violations dating back decades, but did nothing;
*The Pennsylvania Department of State was “repeatedly confronted with evidence about Gosnell” – including the clinic’s unclean, unsterile conditions, unlicensed workers, unsupervised sedation, underage abortion patients, and over-prescribing of pain pills with high resale value on the street – “and repeatedly chose to do nothing.”
*Philadelphia Department of Public Health officials who regularly visited Gosnell’s human waste-clogged offices did nothing;
*Nearby hospital officials who treated some of the pregnant mothers who suffered grave complications from Gosnell’s butchery did nothing; and
*The National Abortion Federation, the leading association of abortion providers that is supposed to uphold strict health and legal standards, determined that Gosnell’s chamber of horrors was “the worst abortion clinic she had ever inspected” – but did nothing.
Meanwhile, the death racketeers have launched a legislative and regulatory assault across the country on pro-life crisis pregnancy centers from New York City to Baltimore, Austin, and Seattle who offer abortion alternatives, counseling, and family services to mostly poor, vulnerable, minority women.
Already, left-wing journalists and activists have rushed to explain that these abortion atrocities ignored for four decades by abortion radicals and rationalizers are not really about abortion. A Time magazine writer argued that the Philadelphia Horror was “about poverty, not Roe V. Wade.” A University of Minnesota professor declared: “This is not about abortion.”
But the grand jury itself pointed out that loosened oversight of abortion clinics enacted under pro-choice former GOP governor Tom Ridge enabled Gosnell’s criminal enterprise – and led to the heartless execution of hundreds of babies. Mass murder got a pass in the name of expanding “access” and appeasing abortion lobbyists. As the report made clear: “With the change of administration from [pro-life Democrat] Governor Casey to Governor Ridge,” government health officials “concluded that inspections would be ‘putting a barrier up to women’ seeking abortions. Better to leave clinics to do as they pleased, even though, as Gosnell proved, that meant both women and babies would pay.”
Deadly indifference to protecting life isn’t tangential to the abortion industry’s existence – it’s at the core of it. The Philadelphia Horror is no anomaly. It’s the logical, blood-curdling consequence of an evil, eugenics-rooted enterprise wrapped in feminist clothing.

Slate’s Will Saletan, who definitely pitches his beliefs tent in the pro choice camp, goes into details about the Philadelphia abortion/infanticide mill, which I posted about the other day. He first notes that some pro choice absolutists believe in abortion through the ninth month–and quotes and links them. That’s worth discussing, but rather than repeat that here, I’ll let those interested read the piece, which I link below, for themselves.
He then recites the awful details of what happened at the “clinic,” as alleged in the grand jury report. From Saletan’s “The Baby Butcher:”
According to the newly released grand jury report, [Kermit]Gosnell accepted abortion patients without regard to gestational age. “Gosnell catered to the women who couldn’t get abortions elsewhere—because they were too pregnant,” the report explains. “More and more of his patients came from out of state and were late second-trimester patients. Many of them were well beyond 24 weeks. Gosnell was known as a doctor who would perform abortions at any stage, without regard for legal limits.”
This meant killing viable babies. “We were able to document seven specific incidents in which Gosnell or one of his employees severed the spine of a viable baby born alive,” the grand jury concludes. One victim was killed at 26 weeks. Another was killed at 28. A third was killed at 32. Some of the dead were 12 to 18 inches long. One had been moving and breathing outside the womb for 20 minutes. The report alleges hundreds of such atrocities. One employee admitted to severing the spinal cords of 100 babies, each one beyond 24 weeks…
You can argue that what Gosnell did wasn’t conventional abortion—he routinely delivered the babies before slitting their necks—but the 33 proposed charges involving the Abortion Control Act have nothing to do with that. Those charges pertain strictly to a time limit: performing abortions beyond 24 weeks. Should Gosnell be prosecuted for violating that limit? Is it OK to outlaw abortions at 28, 30, or 32 weeks? Or is drawing such a line an unacceptable breach of women’s autonomy?
I want to focus on different question: How is what happened in Philadelphia morally different than what Peter Singer’s values would allow?
Peter Singer has repeatedly stated there is no moral difference between a late term fetus and an early neo-nate–such as at a Princeton conference about abortion that I discussed here at SHS (a post in which I was mainly concerned with his contention that a human being doesn’t have “full moral status” until after age 2). Here’s a relevant Singer quote to our discussion today from the Princeton conference:
Maybe the law has to have clear bright lines and has to take birth as the right time [to outlaw killing], although maybe it should make some exceptions in the cases of severe disability where parents think that it is better for the child and better for the family that the child does not live…The position that allows abortion also allows infanticide under some circumstances…If we accept abortion, we do need to rethink some of those more fundamental attitudes about human life.
Singer takes a very casual view of these matters, including late term abortion. In a 2001 Salon interview, he breezily accepts late term abortion if the mother has “a good reason,” which includes balancing the genders within a family! From the interview:
There’s a difference between early and late abortions. If you have a late abortion, where the fetus might feel pain, then I think you should have a good reason. Because then you’re inflicting pain. As you go through the third trimester, you need to have more serious reasons to end a pregnancy. For instance, I would not support ending a pregnancy only because you want a boy and you’re going to get a girl, because it would reinforce sex discrimination. But if you already have two boys and you want a girl, that could be enough reason for abortion.
And here is what he wrote in a 2007 newspaper column:
Arguably, the fetus first becomes a being of moral significance when it develops the capacity to feel pain, some time after 20 weeks of gestation. We should be concerned about the capacity of fetuses to suffer pain in late-term abortions. On the rare occasions when such abortions are necessary, they should be performed in a way that minimises the possibility of suffering.
Admittedly, birth is in some ways an arbitrary place to draw the line at which killing the developing human life ceases to be permissible, and instead becomes murder. A prematurely born infant may be less developed than a late-term fetus. But the criminal law needs clear dividing lines and, in normal circumstances, birth is the best we have.
So, let us assume that the Philadelphia clinic was run with proper sanitary methods, employed painless killing techniques, and exercised clinical excellence to care for the women, I repeat: How is what “Dr” Gosnell and staff are alleged to have done–late term abortions and induced-premature-birth-and-kill infanticides–any different than what Peter Singer’s “practical ethics” would allow? (Realize that Singer’s recent acceptance of “birth” as a line is not a moral assertion, but just a hedge to keep from having to defend the killing of healthy infants, a “legal” line that he said at Princeton should not be absolute in any event.)
Recapping: Singer supports late term abortion if the the reason to kill is “good,” which, considering his example cited, is a very low standard indeed. He strongly implies that a full term fetus has greater moral worth than a prematurely born baby. Besides, we are repeatedly told we have no right to judge a woman’s reasons.
So, to answer my own question, other than technical issues of clinical procedures and sanitary methods, I can’t think of a single reason Singer’s values would not permit a “professionally” operated abortion/infanticide abattoir. And that should tell us all we need to know about Peter Singer’s values.

Some say that they are “viable,” but others would still call them squirming little toads, incapable of human contact or ability–and thus are no different from the “fetuses” who are murdered legally.
This monster, by the way, is totally sane, and he feels utterly justified by his actions, according to the totality of the eugenics philosophy. If “it” isn’t human, then “it” can be done away with if one so pleases. It’s the exact same idea that the Nazis used when they killed Jews or other so-called “non-Aryans”–they were “subhuman vermin,” and thus had to be exterminated for the good of “race purity.”
In this case, the babies are not only not human because they’re mere “fetuses,” but they also come from poor minority mothers. How much un-human can you get? By the way, I Googled this horrible creature, and the only people talking about him are bloggers. All of the other websites are ones about his “practice,” to inform the public about his varied “services.”
Never mind what I said about Googling this “doctor.” When I put “Kermit B. Gosnell, md charged with murder” in the browser, I finally found all of the news releases. However, if you simply put Kermit B. Gosnell, MD,” you have to dig to find the story about him.
Any member of any regulatory body in that state that had jurisdiction should be charged as an accessory.
Considering the current occupant of the White House, Obama, voted to ensure this practice continued, will anyone in the media or out ask him what his response to this is?
Interesting question. Seeing as how (then Illinois State Senate) Obama opposed legislation that would have protected delivered babies due to botched abortions, I’m sure that “Doctor” Gosnell’s practices shouldn’t bother the president all that much. It’s the mother’s decision, isn’t it?
I would just like to see honest reporting showing the evidence Michelle has in this post, with direct questions to Obama on whether he supports this.
I am so fed up with the leftist media attacking anyone on the right on issues that are incredibly petty, attempting to destroy them personally and publicly, who will then let horrors like this slide.

The baby feet in jars…
Genocide at its worst. Where are the black leaders and their moral outrage? There will be a day of reckoning when Gosnel and his enablers stand before their creator.
There will be “unintended consequences” for the Left over this. “Baby feet in jars”….guilt ridden employees who had to do the dirty work of disposing HUMAN remains….these folks have been through something that will require psychological care and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder therapeutics. They paid a price and it only will take a handful of them to tell their story to the rest of the country. Eugenics in America was born in Vermont at the nation’s first land grant college, the University of Vermont. “Good genes” was its mission. Read all about its connection to Planned Parenthood and the eugenics architecture run in the USA beginning after the American Civil War by the USDA’s Cooperative Extension Service. Read about the connection between the CES and the exporting of its eugenics model for sterilizing Indian women to Nazi Germany for application against the unterrmensch Jews. This is not hype and hysteria. This is the history that has led up to this exact point in today’s America where the ethnic cleansing by friendly fascists continues for the greater good, “a woman’s choice.” Just a tad bit Orwellian, no? This doesn’t bode well for The Boy Queen President’s “health care” system takeover law…. there isnt a Senator in the land who will want to have his/her name associated with this butchery in the upcoming repeal vote. The Boy Queen is toast on this issue because it is no longer about health care— it is about his end around funding of abortion with taxpayer money. Gotcha you arrogant twit. The truth is that these fetus’ were unwanted by the parents or badly deformed. So most likely they would have just ended up in foster homes, State care homes or living on the streets when they became teenagers or adults. Abortion has been practiced for centuries and it is good for society. Forcing 14 year old girls or deformed fetus’ to be born and end up costing the State millions in health and welfare costs.
It is real nice to say I’m for all babies being wanted and cared for, but that is just unrealistic. By promoting reproductive education in our schools we can reduce the incident of abortion. Being raised Catholic this something I disagree strongly with the Catholic church on. Using birth control eliminates millions of abortions by unwed mothers.

What are the statistics on the ‘unwanted’ babies vs the ‘badly deformed’ babies? Unwanted by the (birth) parents does not mean unwanted by anyone. All the kids in my family are adopted…it took twelve years of waiting to get the four children my parents wanted and we only were able to adopt my little brother because we were able to get custody of a child about to be sent to an orphanage from a hospital because his mother did not want him but had enough basic humanity to give birth and give her child a chance at life.
The waiting list for babies for adoption is huge. The horror stories about kids lost forever in foster care and living on the streets are those who are taken away from the birth mother/parents later in life. Look at how many people need to go overseas to adopt babies.
Just because a girl or woman makes a mistake and gets pregnant doesn’t give her the ‘right’ to kill another human being for convenience’s sake. As for deformities, what is considered an ‘acceptable’ deformity to warrant death? If the child is going to die anyway, I honestly think it is up to the parents. If the baby isn’t going to die anyway, there are many people born with many different defects who have gone on to live amazing lives.
‘Health of the mother’ is just one of the terms that has been watered down to include ‘risk of postpartum depression,’ and I honestly think there are basically no cases where it applies. Not to say it doesn’t happen, but statistically it is a useless argument with modern medicine.
I find people like this more repugnant than progressives. They are worse than nazis and that is going some. They use the ploy they are “helping the poor” and abuse, murder and defile them. I truly wish this “doctor” was in prison until his death by “snipping” but, that would be cruel and unusual punishment. What the hell has he done for years?

I’m not being dispassionate saying this, just concerned that the cat was let out of the bag regarding these crimes at an politically pragmatic time for the Dems who’d love swaying the populance their way by the spectre of the Tea Party being one of “religious fanatics.” Time is on OB and the Libs’s court; the road into socialism is a greased one and they know each day one needs government assistance and a hand-out is one more “grateful” spoiled teat-sucker welded to their side and that there’s no going back. We really are uniquely fighting for the soul of this country today. In my horror and complete disgust over the many emotions this article triggered, I have to think (hope and pray) good will come of it. “All things work together for good to them that love God.” (Romans 8:28).
Sometimes we have to be shaken, to our very core, of the evil that exists.
The good that may come of this infanticide, the deaths,physical and mental damage to the women who were in this “clinic,” may be to change many liberal’s thoughts on the subject of abortion. The damage inflicted by the article, with increased public awareness, may be similar to the carnage itself.
If the public become aware of the sanitized versions or omissions by the mainstream media in not reporting this hell-on-earth in Philadelphia, this could create increased doubt in news reporting by major networks. This story, combined with the lies and fabrications of the media regarding the recent Arizona massacre, could show the public how misled they are, as the truth is cherry-picked by liberal reporters and TV pundits for their own bias.
Politicians, especially those who are pro-life, should seize on this opportunity to blast the pro-abortionist platform out of the fantasy of “safe, regulated, and rare.”

The negative impact of abortion is felt on multiple levels.
There are the negative impacts to the biological parents (read their own testimonies here).
There are the negative impacts of what happens over time when 1/3 of all pregnancies are terminated in abortion. For every 2 people you see in generation Y, there is a third person who should be among them, but was aborted. If those aborted babies had been allowed to live, they would now be growing up, marrying, and having children of their own. So really, each abortion takes more than one life… it takes the life of that child and all future descendants that that child would have had if they had been allowed to live.

A woman should have a choice of whether or not she wants to raise a child. But she should not have a “choice” of whether or not to kill a child. If she doesn’t want to raise a child, let her “choose” adoption, not abortion.
And if adoptive parents who currently pay thousands of dollars to Communist governments to adopt a child were to instead pay that money to the our government, there would be more than enough money to pay for the care of the few children who did not get adopted.
I used to think that, too, but it’s not the truth. The truth is that there are more loving, caring people who want to adopt than there are babies to adopt.
The truth is that teaching “safe sex”, instead of promoting abstinence, teaches kids that premarital sex is OK. There is no teaching of morality or why the students would be better off saying ‘No’ to sex before marriage. People pay a price for “free love”.
If you were raised Catholic, then you were also taught not to have pre-marital sex. Yet you conveniently omit that. The problem isn’t the Catholic church’s stand against birth control. The problem is your stand in favor of pre-marital sex.
And lest you assume that I am defending the Catholic church’s position because I must be a Catholic… that is a wrong assumption. I am not a Catholic.
The problem is, and has always been, SIN.
This is America. The “doctor” who did these deeds, and those who knowingly assisted him and said nothing, will never receive any punishment fitting of their crimes.
