PPH “Truth” Bus Tour hides pro-death facts!

Planned Parenthood (PPH) is being exposed!
They’ve been directly involved in killing
millions of babies, yet they continue to mask
that inconvenient detail in their new “Truth”
public relations campaign. We cannot allow
this disinformation campaign to go unchallenged –
or for PPH to continue receiving tax-payer
funding!

Just imagine a fancy, dressed-out, jumbo bus, complete with
brilliant paint and large banner ads, touring the nation
trying to build good will for women’s health issues.  Now,
imagine the pitch neglecting to say one word about its
sponsors being the largest provider of abortion “services”
in the nation!

It’s PPH’s “deception on wheels” campaign!  And it has just
one purpose – to keep their massive public funding and
their network of abortion mills “open for business” across
the nation.

++Here’s the truth about PPH’s “women’s health services.”

In 2009, Planned Parenthood clinics performed 332,278 abortions,
an increase of 8,270 from the 324,008 abortions they performed
in the previous year.

LifeNews and the American Life League recently reported…

*97.6 percent of pregnant women going to Planned
Parenthood are sold abortions while less than 2.4
percent of pregnant women received non-abortion
services including adoption counseling or prenatal care.

*Planned Parenthood has increased its number of
abortions for 15 straight years.

* Planned Parenthood’s records show 5,320,095 surgical
and medicinal abortions done at Planned Parenthood
Centers through the end of 2009.

I find these facts reprehensible and unfathomable in scope.  But
it gets worse! You and I paid for a great deal of it:

In fiscal year 2008-2009, Planned Parenthood received
more than $363 million in federal taxpayer dollars
through Title X family planning provisions, government
grants and contracts. The idea that my tax dollars are
being used to fund any organization that kills babies is
unconscionable.  I know you agree with me!

We MUST NOT be silent! We must stand against the taxpayer
funding of Planned Parenthood and any other agency that
performs the life-ending act of abortion.  This is our duty
and responsibility to this generation and those to come!

This issue is very close to my heart and
among my strongest personal convictions.

That’s the reason why Liberty Counsel Action’s first legislative
campaign has been to see that Planned Parenthood, the nation’s
largest abortion provider, and any other organization receiving
federal funding while killing babies, is DEFUNDED in the
federal budget everywhere it receives grants!

++The misleading “Truth” about PPH’s pro-death bus tour.

Planned Parenthood is staging a fierce multi-dimensional
public relations counteroffensive against the House’s attempts
to strip their funding by grossly spinning the nature of their
women’s “health services”!

They have just embarked on a multi-state bus tour called the
“Truth Tour,” according to CNS News…

“Figures displayed on the sides of the Planned Parenthood
bus include ‘4,000,000 STD (sexually transmitted diseases)
Tests;’ ‘1,800,00 Cancer Screenings;’ ‘2,500,000 Birth
Control Patients;’ and ‘830,000 Breast Exams.’ The main
banner on the bus reads, ‘Stand with Planned Parenthood.”

Of course, the “bus statistics”do not include any reference
to millions of abortions performed at Planned Parenthood
clinics over the years.

PPH’s deceptive campaign masks the biggest reason why
pro-life Americans are calling for their defunding
in the first place – their extensive abortion business!

Do not be deceived:  The most important fact about Planned
Parenthood is that they are the nation’s largest provider of
abortions – performing over 25% of all abortions in the U.S.!
Tragically, it is a hugely profitable business.

Published reports say PPH has over 700,000 active donors
whose contributions account for approximately one quarter
of the organization’s revenue.

++We must rally together and defend life against such a
formidable pro-abortion organization!

I am reaching out to ALL pro-life Americans! We MUST rally
together, stand against Planned Parenthood’s deceptive
marketing of a murderous business, contact key Legislators,
and stand in defense of life!

I need you and the entire Liberty Counsel Action team
to join me as we hand-deliver petitions to key
Congressional leaders with at least 50,000 pro-life
citizens demanding that Congress “Defund Planned
Parenthood and Defend Life!”

We must reach that 50,000 goal to deliver these petitions
before the upcoming congressional debates over a long-term
2011 budget begin!

Sadly, just a few days ago, the Senate ignored millions
of Americans and defeated H.R. 1, the House of
Representatives Continuing Resolution Bill, which
included the defunding of Planned Parenthood.

Now, Congress is back at square one in developing a
budget for the remainder of this fiscal year.

Legislatively, Rep. Mike Pence (R-IN) has introduced
legislation to specifically defund Planned Parenthood
while Rep. Chris Smith (R-NJ) sponsored a bill to
ensure that no federal tax dollars will be used for
abortion services.

Our “Defund Planned Parenthood and Defend Life” petition
will once again include both Senate and House leaders. The
petition will be delivered at a strategic time during the
upcoming debates.

We MUST NOT be silent! We must stand against the taxpayer
funding of Planned Parenthood and any other agency that
performs the life-ending act of abortion.
