   The human family can be one of the most perfect images of the Most Blessed Trinity. But evil, like rust, never sleeps. The ancient Enemy is very clever. Believe it or not, Satan is quite willing to go into conflict with sin itself if he can do it with hate and the weapons of hate. He is never happier than when a parent sends a child to a hospital emergency room or a grave in the name of a “conflict against sin and sinfulness in the child” and “for their own good.” Perhaps the Angelic Doctor would draw a distinction between a true and good “conflict against sin” motivated by Love from a false and evil conflict motivated by hate.
