SSPX RELUCTANT TO FAULT BERGOGLIO, QUICK TO ATTACK POPE BENEDICT

FROM ROME EDITOR1 COMMENT

By Br. Alexis Bugnolo

I cannot be silent at the diabolic attack made against the Vicar of Jesus Christ by FSSPX.NEWS the official news outlet of the Society of Saint Pius X, founded by Archbishop Marcel-François Lefebvre, C.S.Sp. (1905 – 1991).

Little has been published about the heresies and blasphemies and idolatries of Bergoglio, the anti-pope par excellence. But within a week of the publication of a book defending priestly celibacy against Bergoglio’s fiendish plant to destroy it, there is the SSPX quick on the attack, like hounds.

You can read their absurd critique here. To say their argument is strained or in search of evidence to prove its a priori accusations, would be an accurate assessment. Let us take a look at the errors in this article:

A GRAVE DEVIATION?

The author of the article begins by attacking Pope Benedict’s declared intention of explaining the priesthood apart from the “methodological defect in the reception of Scripture as the Word of God.” Evidently the author here shows his complete ignorance of historical theology. The term “word of God” was never in the entire history of the Church prior to the 1260’s applied to Sacred Scripture. For Christians before 1260, the Word of God was only one: Jesus Christ. It was at the University of Paris that an analogy was made, based on phrases in the Old Testament which refer to revelations made to the prophets as, “the word of the Lord”, between Sacred Scripture as revealed truth and Jesus Christ as the Truth revealing.

This attribution by the Scholastics was innocent at first, but with time it became divorced from the concept of analogy and with the Reformation it became not “the word of God”, but “The Word of God”, replacing the Mass and the Most Blessed Sacrament with the Bible as the new medium of union with God, under the control of the expert layman, who dictated what Scripture meant, without reference to the Tradition of the Church.

This, since the time of the Reformation, has become indeed a grave theological and methodological error in interpreting Christianity or Sacred Scripture. And thus to fault Pope Benedict XVI for this approach is to adhere to the very errors of Luther and Bergoglio, who just made Scripture Sunday a new day of cult in his Church, with the placement of the Scriptures on the central axis of the nave of Churches, where the Eucharist and the Tabernacle had pride of place before the Council.

A FLAWED EXEGESIS

The next chapter bears a critical title, but the text does not display any substantive disagreement.

Granted that it is better to talk of offices than ministries, but it does not fundamentally alter a theological exposition which is non technical.

WORSHIP IN SPIRIT AND TRUTH

In this chapter, the author agrees, without making much of the praise due to the Holy Father for his exposition. Remarkable, as his affirmations here cut directly against the notion of the priesthood promoted during the Aggiornamento, of the priest as actor, guide and facilitator.

AN ERRONEOUS THEOLOGY?

In this chapter, the author attacks Pope Benedict for writing: “The crucifixion of Jesus is not in itself an act of worship.” And the author admits that the Pope is referring to the action of the Roman Soldiers. But nevertheless, the author goes on the attack and tries to draw the expression of the Pope over to a denial of Christ’s offering of His Passion as an act of worship. This is the absurd method of reading used by Sedevacantists. It is most unworthy of a Catholic priest or priestly society.

In truth, it is a historical fact, that the Roman Soldiers did not put Jesus Christ to death as an act of worship to the Emperor or any Roman or Greek god. Neither did the High Priests sacrifice Jesus as an act of worship of any God. So what the Pope says is perfectly correct. The pope is using “crucifixion” in its active sense, as the crucifying of Jesus, not as the being crucified of Jesus.  The one is an act of public execution, the other is the matter which Christ offered in the Holy Spirit to the Eternal Father for the Redemption of all. And I do not think you need a degree in theology to understand the difference. The former was objectively a sin, that of condemning the Just to death, the latter was a great act of Mercy, which merited the freedom from condemnation for all those destined to eternal death, who would receive His Sacrifice in faith.

When Archbishop Viganò exposed Bergoglio for covering for pedophiles, the Society was one of the last to speak on the issue. It has been seven years of continual heresies, scandals and blasphemies, but the Society rarely denounces publicly Bergoglio. Suffice it to say, that to publish such a flimsy and error ridden attack within a week on Pope Benedict’s Book with Cardinal Sarah raises a lot of questions as to the real goals and agenda of a priestly society which still insists that all its priests offer their Masses una cum papa Francisco.

I won’t even mention that the Italian version of this released at Rome (see here) insults the Holy Father by calling him by his baptismal name at the end of the second paragraph of the essay.

LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

LETTERS TO THE EDITOR: THE RAVING BERGOGLIAN AT ARS, FRANCE

FROM ROME EDITOR

This incident took place in 2018 and is public knowledge in Italy.
FromRome.Info makes it known, now to the English speaking world.

Dear Editor of FromRome.Info,

I am writing you to expose another element of the Bergoglian mafia and knowing such men of the mafia for who they are: liars, hypocrites, deceivers and sheeps in wolves clothing. They roam free in the beautiful gardens of the Church, but they are the Anti church. They often go unchecked, and one in particular, is the man (difficult to call him Father) Patrice Chocholski, a servant of Satan who has been planted as a “successor” of a saintly Parish Pastor, but far from it. He is the pastor of the parish in Ars that belonged to none other than one of satan’s greatest enemy, the great St. John Vianney.

After I read this article here published by the wonderful Bishop Rene Gracida (on his blog Abyssum) that mentions this Fr. Patrice Chocholski, I think this is the perfect time Catholics REALLY know who this man is.

He is an enemy of Pope Benedict XVI and pro Benedict Catholics.

Please watch this Youtube video of Fr. Patrice Chocholski by clicking HERE: (if you don’t understand the Italian language spoken in the video, I’ll summarize what happens below)

This demon, Patrice Chocholski (sorry I can’t call him anything else), in the video above, pretends to come out in front of the Church of Ars to welcome a group of Catholic pilgrims from Palermo, Italy, only to surprise them with the news that he was expecting them, to mock their tour guide, none other than the heroic Fr. Alessandro Minutella. Chocholski mocks them calling Fr. Minutella a “heretic,” and also calling them heretics, preventing their entrance into the Church of St. John Vianney, He begins to shout that Bergoglio is the only pope, to the point of laughing at the group and jumping, shouting and waving his hands around like a complete moron, saying “Long live the pope!”

If this does not make your blood boil, what does? What will? When will God move you to begin denouncing these ravenous wolves that appear so tender outwardly?

Lastly, why am I bringing this up? Well, besides the Knights of Columbus sponsoring this man’s tour to the U.S. with St. John Vianney’s relics. See here. I also saw EWTN Fr. Mitch Pacwa interviewing the man See here. If you haven’t realized that the enemies of the True Church and the True Pope run your institutions, you need to wake up, open your eyes, and start blowing their covers!!

Signed,

Outraged Catholic

COMMENTARY

Catholics who hold that Pope Benedict XVI is still the pope because he never posited a juridical act whereby he separated himself from the petrine munus are clearly neither Schismatics nor Heretics. They are not schismatic, since they remain in union with the true pope. They are not heretics, because canonical irregularities or opinions about such things does not make one a heretic. Even if they judge that the statements made by Bergoglio are formally heresy, or that he is a pertinacious heretic, such a position is not heresy, because the Church Herself has always taught that the faithful are free to denounce heresy, are free to uphold the Faith and has never censured the opinion that a pope can be a heretic as heretical.  Father Patrice therefore has gravely calumniated the reputation of these faithful pilgrims, but at least he had the sense to allow them entrance after this brief controversy.

VERITATIS SPLENDOR OF Saint John Paul II IS HE KEY TO IDENTIFYING THE HERESY CONTAINED IN THE SUPPORT OF AMORIS LATITIAE BY THE FRIENDS OF FRANCIS THE MERCIFUL

Catholic Monitor

Is Amoris Laetitia’s Unavoidable Logic that Unrepentant Homosexuals can receive Holy Communion?

Why is the Francis, who thinks a third rate thinkers such as the confused and almost unreadable Postmodernist Michael de Certeau is “the greatest theologian for today,” promoting intrinsically evil acts?

One possibility is because he was “mislead” into thinking Amoris Leatitia is “Thomist” and orthodox by the heretical scholar Archbishop Victor Manuel Fernandez and the “great theologian” Cardinal Christoph Schonborn.

The other possibility, and in my opinion the most probable, is that the obviously above average intelligent Francis totally understands and agrees with his friend Archbishop Fernandez who is a heretical scholar.

Latin American Catholic philosopher Carlos A. Casanova shows that dissenter Tony Mifsud and Archbishop Fernandez both of whom “irrationally” misuse Thomism are bedfellows following the lead of Fr. Bernard Haring in dissent from Catholic moral doctrine:

“Mifsud… [i]n p.73 he quotes Bernard Haring holding that the fruit of the II Vatican Council was the spirit of dissent among theologians towards the “dictates of the official Church.”

“… Victor Manuel Fernandez’s concrete reasoning is different… [b]ut the goal is very similar to Mifsud’s, to open the way for the plausibility of “righteous” (or at least not-guilty) violations of God’s law.”

“… What Fernandez means is that the lady of his example does not will what is just, because that does not conform her concrete situation… As one can see in pp. 158 and 160 of his paper, he applies this principle to homosexuals and to spouses who “need” to use the condom.”
(Aemaet, “Humanae Vitae and Veritatis Splendor as Exposition of ‘Natural Law’ Contrasted with Their Irrational Rejection,” Carlos A. Casanova, 2018)

Schonborn supposedly didn’t explain to Francis that the heretical Fr. Haring’s theology of the denial of intrinsically evil acts which was used by the heretical Fernandez as a ghostwriter of Amoris Laetitia (AL) would destroy all Catholic moral doctrine as it attempted to justify the “violation of God’s law” by promoting “persistent adultery and reception of Holy Communion” with the unavoidable logic of unrepentant homosexuals eventually receiving the Eucharist.

Dubia Cardinal Brandmuller says that those who promote intrinsically evil acts are heretics:
“Whoever thinks that persistent adultery and reception of Holy Communion are compatible is a heretic.”(lifesitenews.com, “Dubia Cardinal: Anyone who opens Communion to adulterers ‘some a heretic and promotes schism,'” December 23, 2016)
An example of what possibly could have happened to Francis in his promoting of heresy can be found in history.

Is Francis a material heretic like Pope Honorius?
The unscholarly Pope Honorius was “confused and mislead” into becoming a material heretic who promoted the Monothelitist heresy. He was condemned by a general council and Pope St. Agatho and Pope St. Leo II.
The Catholic Encyclopedia said of Honorius that he “was not a profound theologian, and allowed himself to be confused and mislead.”(Edward Feser.blogspot, “Denial flows into the Tiber,” December 18, 2016)
Theologian Tracey Rowland wrote that Francis before the papacy said “I can’t imagine anything more boring than Fundamental Theology.” She quotes Ross Douthat saying:
“Francis is clearly a less systematic thinker than… his predecessors” to the papacy. (Catholic Theology, page 192)

In other words, Francis is not a profound theologian and often a “confused” thinker.
It was reported that the not very systematic thinker Francis during his visit to Colombia said:
Amoris Laetitia is Thomist, the morality of the great Thomas. You can speak of it with a great theologian, one of the best today and one of the most mature, Cardinal Schönborn. .”(National Catholic Register, “Pope to Jesuits: Help Critics of Amoris Leatitia to See Its Morality Is Thomist,” September 28, 2017)
In a interview, with the Jesuit magazine America, Schonborn said “one who is in an objective situation of sin can receive the help of the sacraments.”
Schonborn in the interview appears to deny that the truths of the Decalogue of Revelation are eternal or objective:
“The complexity of family situations, which goes far beyond what was customary in our Western societies even a few decades ago, has made it necessary to look in a more nuanced way at the complexity of these situations. To a greater degree than in the past, the objective situation of a person does not tell us everything about that person in relation to God and in relation to the church. This evolution compels us urgently to rethink what we meant when we spoke of objective situations of sin. And this implicitly entails a homogeneous evolution in the understanding and expression of the doctrine.“(America, “Cardinal Christoph Schonborn on the demands and joys of love,” August 15-22, 2016)
This is not Thomist, but appears to be soft historicism which comes from Hegel.
Hegelian historicism doesn’t believe with Thomism that truth is objective and eternal.
Schonborn, in his quote above, appears to believe that historical evolution changes the meaning of truth which is anti-Thomist.
The unscholarly Francis bases his statement that “Amoris Leatitia is Thomist” on Schonborn’s authority as “a great theologian.”
Unfortunately for Francis, Schonborn is misrepresenting the truth about Aquinas’s teachings and Amoris Leatitia is not Thomist.
Thomist scholar Fr. Basil Cole OP said that Schonborn’s theology and Amoris Leatitia contradicts Thomism:

“Another tangle one can encounter is when quoting Aquinas piecemeal or without full advertence to his theological project. St. Thomas was nothing if not a complete and consistent thinker. To pick and choose his statements without considering their context and relation to his other relevant insights would be about as disastrous as proof-texting Sacred Scripture.”

“One might suppose that a situationist ethic is supported by Aquinas when he states, “In matters of action, truth or practical rectitude is not the same for all, as to matters of detail, but only as to the general principles; and where there is the same rectitude in matters of detail, it is not equally known to all. […] The principle will be found to fail, according as we descend further into detail” (ST I-II, q. 94, a. 4; quoted in Amoris Laetitia n. 304). Isolated from Aquinas’s other statements, it could seem as if the doctor of the Church is saying that no moral rule is absolute, but that discernment is needed in each and every situation to know whether or not a general moral principle applies in a particular situation. However, this is not authentic Thomism.”
“Situation ethics contradicts Aquinas’s firm affirmation that there are some moral norms that always hold for everyone: these are the precepts of the Decalogue (T I-94, q.100, a.8)… Aquinas’s teaching is clear: a person should not receive Holy Communion or absolution from sin who does not intend to change his life and forsake public sin… (ST I-94, q.43, a.1).”(National Catholic Register, “Is ‘Amoris Laetitia’ Really Thomistic?,” December 16, 2016)

The Filial Correction give similar evidence to show how and why Pope Francis’s situation ethics is spreading heresy.
So far, all the Filial Correction attackers, the Pope’s inner circle and supporters who are defending Amoris Laetitia, it appears, are not Thomist, but soft Hegelian historicists who claim there is no objective/eternal morality or discipline.
Francis supporter theologian Giuseppe Lorizio of the Pontifical Lateran University mocked the Correction statement of “eternal discipline” in the area of the Eucharist.
He appears to have forgotten that St. Paul said you can’t receive the Eucharist in a state of moral sin such as having sexual relations in an adulterous relationship.
Lorizio claims the discipline came only after the Council of Trent.(Catholic Conclave, “Anti-Papal manipulation by enemies of the Pope and the Gospel,” September 27, 2017)
Gay activist Michael Sean Winters in his attack on the Correction let the Hegelian historicism cat out of the bag.
He went so far as to attack Fr. James Martin defender Archbishop Charles Chaput for daring to criticize soft Hegelian Fr. Bernard Haring. (National Catholic Reporter, “‘Correction’ of Francis reveals critics don’t come in good faith,” September 27, 2017)
Winters pointed to the source of their problem with the Correction:
Winters, Lorizio, Schonborn and, it appears, Francis don’t believe in objective morality and promote allowing intrincically evil acts which Haring brought into the Church following the Second Vatican Council.

Schonborn following in the footsteps of Haring (who Francis praised), it appears, in a America magazine interview is saying that Amoris Laetitia says that God wills evil:

“In his great experience of accompanying people spiritually, when the Holy Father speaks of “objective situations of sin,” he does not stop short at the kinds of cases that are specified in No. 84 of ‘The Family in the Modern World.’ He refers in a broader way to “certain situations which do not objectively embody our understanding of marriage. Every effort should be made to encourage the development of an enlightened conscience” while “recognizing the influence of concrete factors” (No. 303).

“The conscience plays a fundamental role.”
“Indeed:
Conscience can do more than recognize that a given situation does not correspond objectively to the overall demands of the Gospel. It can also recognize with sincerity and honesty what for now is the most generous response which can be given to God, and come to see with a certain moral security that it is what God himself is asking amid the concrete complexity of one’s limits, while not yet fully the objective ideal (No. 303).”(America, “Cardinal Christoph Schonborn on the demands and joys of love,” August 15-22, 2016)
What is Schonborn saying?

World-renown philosopher, founding Rector of the International Academy of Philosopher and friend of Pope John Paul II, Josef Seifert in a new paper on Amoris Laetitia explains what Schonborn is saying:
“AL says that we can know with ‘a certain moral security’ that God himself asks us to commit intrinsically wrong acts such as adultery…”
“If only one case of an intrinsically immoral act can be permitted and even willed by God, must this not apply to all acts considered ‘intrinsically wrong’?” (“Does pure logic threaten to destroy the entire moral doctrine of the Catholic Church?,” August 5, 2017)
In simple words the friend of John Paul II and renown philosopher says:
Francis’s Amoris Leatitia says God wills evil.
The philosopher’s paper says:
“Let us read the decisive text (AL 303), which is being applied by Pope Francis to the case of adulterous or ‘irregular couples’… :
‘Yet conscience can do more… the most generous response which can be given to God (Relations Finalise 2015, 85) and come to see with a certain moral security that God himself is asking amid the concrete complexity of one’s limits, while yet not fully the objective ideal (AL 303).'”

Again, in simple words, Amoris Laetitia says God wills intrinsically evil acts which brings us to Haring’s influence on the current Pope.

Fr. Edmundus Waldstein, O. Cist., at sancrucensis.wordpress.com, gives an overview of why Francis praised dissenter Haring and why Amoris Laetitia promotes allowing intrinsically evil acts:
“In a discussion with the General Congregation of the Society of Jesus, the Holy Father praised Fr. Bernard Haring for having helped overcome a decadent scholastic moral theology that had been fixated on negative commandments, and opened up a way for moral theology to flourish. Now, Haring’s moral theology is a great example of what it might mean to begin processes as opposed to occupying spaces.” (Dubia and Initiating Processes, December 7, 2016, sancrucensis.wordpress.com)
Even Amoris Laetitia supporter Jeff Mirus in a March 7, 2017 article for Catholic Culture.com said anyone who would praise Haring “as one of the first to give Catholic moral theology new life in the twentieth century must be ignorant, confused, or subversive.”
In the beginning of the post, titled “Pope Francis and Bernard Haring: The literally infernal cheek of dissent,” Mirus said:
“Pope Francis praised…Fr. Bernard Haring, for being one of the first to try to revive an ailing moral theology following the Second Vatican Council.”
The article presented some of the moral theologian’s dissenting heretical teachings:
“In his 1973 book Medical Ethics Haring defended sterilization, contraception and artificial insemination…According to Haring, under difficult circumstances, we may engage in a process of discernment which leads to the commission of intrinsically evil acts.”
The Kasper proposal agenda which became Amoris Laetitia is in significant segments about allowing intrinsically evil acts such as adultery and implicitly homosexuality. Fr. Z said at his website on April 16, 2016:
“‘Homosexuality’ was the bigger issue with the Kasperites… This is still the Kasperite strategy.”
The Kasper agenda and Amoris Laetitia’s unavoidable logic is:
It follows that if unrepentant adulterers can receive Holy Communion, then unrepentant homosexuals can receive the Eucharist, too.

Pray an Our Father now for the restoration of the Church.

CANON LAWFAITHNEWS

YOU HAVE A RIGHT TO QUESTION YOUR PRIEST

FROM ROME EDITOR2 COMMENTS

by Br. Alexis Bugnolo

It is a principle of natural law, that anyone who presents himself as anything, has the duty to give reasons which justify his claims in public. This in past ages has never been much of an issue with regard to Catholic priests or Bishops. It was sufficient to know that he was a priest or a Bishop.

But with the planned and organized and generation-long effort by Masons in and outside the Church to corrupt the priesthood of Jesus Christ in the Church, it is no longer always and everywhere safe to presume the priest you know is Catholic, that is correct in doctrine, even when he is a Catholic priest.

So you should ask your local priest questions and not merely act as dumb sheep, if he appears to deviate from right doctrine or orthodox practice.

And no, I am not talking about him mistakenly leaving the cruets on the Altar rather than on the credence table. I am talking about issues which regard whether he has accepted the religion of Globalism or whether he is a Catholic.

If he says in a homily, that Greta Thurnburg is a Saint. Then you do not need to discuss anything with him, you need to denounce him as a heretic to your Bishop. I counseled one laymen on this matter recently, and after writing his bishop, the priest was removed as pastor from his parish.

No, I am speaking about ambiguous speech.  If a priest says we must be accepting to habitual sinners and goes on and on about this, then you should question him, because he may be a habitual sinner himself with intentions of corruption your sons and/or daughters.

If he says he hates honest politicians like Donald Trump or Matteo Salvini, you should question him about his politics. Because if he is a Marxist he is an apostate on account of this, that he rejects the entire soteriology of the Church.  Soteriology is the theology of salvation. Salvation consists in our supernatural conformity, body and soul, to the will of God, through the Sacraments, with the merit of eternal life in Heaven. It does not consist in fulfilling the political platform of the local left wing party.

In fact, if your priest admits he votes for the Left, you should question him, because with a few questions you will be able to reveal that he is either a heretic or an apostate, and then you can denounce him to your Bishop and leave the parish for another one.

If he preaches against the prolife movement, against those who want right doctrine or praxis, if he says that truth does not matter or says things which are confused, you should question him. I remember years ago, I was visiting a Church on Holy Trinity Sunday, and the priest said: At the baptism of Jesus a voice was heard, the voice of the Holy Spirit saying, “This is my beloved son, listen to him”.  In charity I assumed the priest was drunk on some physical liquid, and so I denounced him by letter to his bishop. In a week or two he was removed from the parish.

I know of a real case, in the Diocese of Worcester, Massachusetts, where a priest spoke in favor of contraception and abortion during a homily. The whole parish rose up and physically ran him out of the parish. The Bishop graciously responded by removing the priest as pastor. They questioned him before the ran him out, but they did the right and Catholic thing. God bless both them and their Bishop.

So it is important to speak with your priest, when he starts acting strange. Because if you don’t, it will lead to more serious scandals and the lost of faith of your brother and sisters in Christ. And do not hesitate to denounce bad priests, because this is a blessing for all: for by denouncing bad priests, you make the life of every other good priest in the Diocese easier, by removing a stain, a cross and a plague on the local Church.

If you have a question about the strange behavior of a priest, and seek advice, publish your story in a comment, but remove all identifying information as to place and person, so as to protect the reputations of all involved.

Might Italian Canon Law Expert take 1P5 Skojec to an Italian Criminal Court for “Calumny”?

One of the great heroes in the present crisis canon law expert Italian Br. Alexis Bugnolo recently stated in the Catholic Monitor comment section that he thought One Peter Five publisher Steve Skojec might be guilty of “calumny” against him which is “punishable with severe sentences and financial penalties” in Italy:

“The problem with name calling is that in countries like Italy, to imply that someone is not of sound mind, is calumny and punishable with severe sentences and financial penalties. Maybe those who name call should speak to an attorney and get some advice, before posting name callings on social media where they can be read in every jurisdiction and lead to consequences that they do not envision. Just saying…”

Br. Bugnolo wrote the above comment in this Catholic Monitor post:

Why do 1P5 Skojec and Francis use Name-calling Propaganda?

I always find One Peter Five publisher Steve Skojec’s Tweets hilarious. He has refined the comic use of name-calling to a fine art.Anyone who knows the people who he name-calls knows the absurdity of his wildly unreasonable and ridiculous smears.

But, he isn’t doing it for its humorous effect and for my merriment. Although, I want thank him and his Tweets for lighting up many of my days with laughter.

Sadly, Skojec is pathetically deadly serious in his poisonous name-calling propaganda.

Why does he do it?

Wikipedia’s post on “Name calling” explains why he, Francis and Team Francis apparently use this propaganda technique:

“Name calling is a cognitive bias and a technique to promote propaganda. Propagandists use the name-calling technique to invoke fear in those exposed to the propaganda, resulting in the formation of a negative opinion about a person, group, or set of beliefs or ideas.”

Pray an Our Father now for the restoration of the Church as well as for the Triumph of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate of Mary.

The Heart of a Priest

St. John Vianney

JANUARY 26, 2020 BY FR. FREDERICK L. MILLER, STDLEAVE A COMMENT

Father Patrice Chocholski is the successor of St. John Vianney as the pastor of the Parish of St. Sixtus in Ars, France. In July of 2018, Fr. Patrice brought the relic of the heart of St. John Vianney to the United States on a pilgrimage sponsored by the Knights of Columbus. The relic was venerated in many cathedrals, parish churches, seminaries, and religious houses across the United States.1

In a television interview aired on EWTN on July 4, 2018,2 the rector of the Basilica of St. John Vianney revealed a fact that, at that moment, he had not yet told his parishioners in Ars. As part of the preparation for the pilgrimage, the heart of John Vianney was examined by a team of medical professionals to determine if the relic might be adversely affected by the travel and different weather conditions. In examining the heart, the doctors discovered a fact that up until that point in time had been unknown. They reported that there was a wound in the heart of John Vianney. The lesion in the heart tissue indicated that he had suffered a heart attack that had never been diagnosed. He survived the heart attack since the wound was sufficiently healed so that he was able to live with the damage. There is no indication when he may have suffered this attack. All we know is that John Vianney, like Our Lord, had a wounded heart.

There is an incident in the life of John Vianney that has been largely overlooked even by his principle biographers. It is an event that reveals another, deeper, and more painful wound in the heart of the Cure of Ars. I suspect that somehow it may be the key that opens up the secret of the holiness of this remarkable saint.

God called John Vianney to the priesthood at a very difficult moment in the history of the Church in France. The call came during the dark years of the French Revolution. Vianney had grown up in a fractured society that provided him with little formal education. He had been raised in a time of schism in the French Church. His parents chose to worship in the persecuted, underground Church that had remained loyal to Rome. Since it was a crime to belong to this underground Church, Vianney received his first Holy Communion at a clandestine Mass celebrated in a barn. As a child and adolescent, he only knew priests who risked their lives by offering Mass for Catholics who refused to join the schismatic Church of the revolutionaries. It was during this time of persecution that he felt the call to the priesthood. Important to note: John Vianney’s father, a hard-working farmer, opposed his choice of the priesthood.

As soon as some semblance of order was restored in France by the Emperor Napoleon and the Church was given freedom to function freely, Vianney, who had been accepted to the minor seminary of the Archdiocese of Lyon, was drafted into Napoleon’s army. Because of an administrative mistake made by chancery officials someone forgot to put his name on the list of the seminarians exempt from the draft.

Because of illness and personal ineptitude, perhaps because he spent a lot of time with the Blessed Sacrament in churches he passed on the way, John Vianney lagged behind his battalion and was listed among the deserters. For the next fourteen months, he lived as a criminal with an assumed identity among strangers in a remote mountain village.

When granted amnesty because of his brother’s enlistment in the army in his place, Vianney returned home. He expected a warm welcome from his family. On his arrival, his father, Matthew, informed him that his younger brother, Francis, who had been drafted to take his place in the army had died on the battlefields of Spain. He also told John that his mother, believing that both of her sons had died at war, herself died of a broken heart. Blaming John for the death of his wife and son Francis, Matthew Vianney slammed the door in John’s face. He told him to go to the village cemetery to see what evil he had brought upon his once-happy family as a result of his desertion from the army. John was never welcomed back into his father’s house. He begged his father repeatedly for forgiveness. There is no evidence that the forgiveness was ever granted.

Imagine what it would feel like to be rejected by your father and blamed for the death of your mother and younger brother? John Vianney knew in his conscience that he had not intended any sin in his desertion from the army. He had not even intended to desert! If anything, his fault was in being a klutz. I looked up the meaning of the Yiddish word klutz in the dictionary. Literally it means a block of wood. (Later in life, some of his seminary professors may have seen him in this way too.) Synonyms include nincompoop, blockhead, dolt, and clod.

I am not sure that the future saint was any or all of that, but even if he was, he was not the malicious murderer of his mother and brother that his father made him out to be. The question remains: how does a man live with such an accusation, with such rejection, and with the refusal of forgiveness? Brokenhearted, he left his father’s house never to return. He headed for the nearby village of Ecully where he took up residence with his spiritual father, Abbe Balley. From there he began his difficult road to the priesthood.

John Vianney had to make a decision of utmost importance. Would he spend the rest of his life blaming himself for a crime that he did not commit? He could easily have done that by plunging into the ice-cold waters of the heresy of Jansenism that flooded segments of the French Church. He could focus on the transcendent majesty of God and ignore the littleness, the humility of the Incarnation. He could maximize Divine Justice and minimize Divine Mercy in his relationship with God. He could neurotically deprive himself of food and drink and sleep and make every aspect of his life a torture chamber. He could indulge the vengeful image of God of the Jansenists in morbid scrupulosity and self-loathing. He might have acted out the rejection he experienced at home through a variety of different sins, including even the possibility of sexual deviations. We, fallen men and women, are ingenious in the ways we devise to torment ourselves and others.

On the other hand, Vianney had the option, as we all do, of finding salvation in the crucified Christ. Vianney believed that on the Cross Jesus saw him, knew him, and loved him with all of his human weaknesses and sins. He was certain that Jesus felt what he felt when his father rejected him. He also knew that Jesus lovingly suffered for the personal sins that may have resulted from that rejection.

There was a wonderful transformation that became evident in John Vianney after a decade or so of priestly service. He had taken the route of Jansenism for a long time. He imposed Jansenism’s rigorism on his people — especially in the confessional. Somehow, he realized that even though he had always been a faithful priest, he was somehow going in the wrong direction.

How did this change happen? There is no clear explanation of which I am aware. He had heard many mission preachers influenced by the kinder approach of St. Alphonsus Ligouri. He confessed his sins and sought guidance from some of these priests. He began to read the moral theology of St. Alphonsus. He spent long hours in prayer. He had devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Our Lady. He found a heavenly friend is St. Philomena. Whatever happen, whenever it happened, the Holy Spirit prompted Vianney to open the wound in his heart to the love of Christ. In this experience, the Spirit of God created the heart of a priest in the wounded heart of John Vianney. It was then that the pilgrimage of penitents to Ars began. People started coming from far and wide to open their hearts to him. They never stopped coming!

Perhaps these words of St. John of the Cross best describe the transformation of Vianney. He writes in his Living Flame of Love:

When a wound of love [of Christ] touches a soul that has already been wounded by its own sins and miseries, that soul becomes wounded by love. At the same instant all of these wounds of the soul that came from other causes suddenly become wounds of love.3

Saint John of the Cross does not say that all wounds are healed. He says, rather, that wounds caused in a person by his or her sins or by the sins of others can be transformed by Christ’s love into sources of love.

Vianney’s father had slammed the door of his home in his face. Vianney, now a priest-father with a tender heart, started an orphanage and school for young girls of the vicinity who had nowhere else to go and no one to love them. He began a school for the boys of the parish. He fed all the homeless poor who crossed his path. His home was never closed to anyone. There were many days when he had nothing to eat because he had given his food away to the indigent. He was also known to exchange his coat, sweater, and shoes with poor people.

His brother priests were embarrassed by the appearance of him. He wore a tattered cassock. He was often disheveled. He did not appear properly groomed. The neighboring pastors composed a petition asking the bishop to remove him as pastor of Ars. They failed to mention that they were jealous of the fact that many, if not most, of their parishioners went to him for confession! One of the priests who composed the petition — another klutz — left a copy of it on the dining room table in Ars by mistake. What did John Vianney do when he found and read the petition? He signed it!

The true miracle in Vianney’s life was what happened in his confessional. Following the Gallican method of hearing confessions that was taught to him in the seminary of the Archdiocese of Lyon, Vianney often denied people absolution. He would impose heavy penances, penances not unlike those imposed on public sinners in the ancient Church. Most of the time, the people had to leave the confessional, do the penance and then return for absolution.

After what we might call his conversion, people continued to find in him a priest who held firmly to all of the moral teachings of Jesus and his Church. There was no compromise in him. He called everyone to sincere conversion. However, through grace, he divested himself of the residual harshness of Jansenism, he was now eager to be the conduit of Jesus’s absolutely gratuitous mercy. The Spirit filled him with charisms to help his people feel loved in confession, and so spill everything out without hesitation to him. Often, he manifested the gift of reading hearts. Sometimes, he uncovered the human wounds that triggered habitual sins. Always he was a father who understood and loved his children.

The wound inflicted on him by his earthy father who refused to forgive him became the source of an inner impulse to bring mercy to all, especially those who were furthest from God. He often said that he felt a river of mercy flowing through him. Fatherless, he became the father of everyone who crossed his path. Whatever happened in his confessional, those who came were overwhelmed by the merciful love of a father. During the last two decades of the saint’s life, 20,000 people came to Ars each year to confess to him. Most people waited on line for a week to open their hearts to Jesus in the presence of Father John Vianney.

On occasion, he would ask people if they had had their bath that day! Before they had a chance to answer him, he would say, “I have had my bath this morning in God’s love.” It was this daily bath that transformed his wounds caused by sin and human misery into wounds of love. St. John Vianney envisioned the Sacrament of Reconciliation as a bath in God’s love — a bath that brings forgiveness and transformation. It is a bath that transforms wounds of sin into wounds of love.

The visit of the heart of St. John Vianney has inspired priests to make resolutions: First, to make better use of the Sacrament of Reconciliation. We all have human wounds that Jesus wants to transform into sources of love in the holy bath of this sacrament. The saint’s visit challenged priests to be fathers, teachers, and physicians in the confessional, always manifesting the understanding and love of the crucified Christ. Many priests were inspired by the visit of Vianney’s heart on the American pilgrimage to schedule more time each week for confession in the parishes. The Holy Spirit and the Saint of Ars will come to our aid in this humble and hidden endeavor that will renew the Church. The renewal of the Sacrament of Penance might even reverse the vocation crisis that has become critical.

I end with Vianney’s prayer for the love of God which reveals the heart of a priest who has been transformed by that love.

I love you, O my God, and my only desire is to love you until the last breath of my life. I love you, O my infinitely lovable God, and I would rather die loving you, than live without loving you. I love you, Lord, and the only grace I ask is to love you eternally. My God, if my tongue cannot say in every moment that I love you, I want my heart to repeat it to you as often as I draw breath. Amen.

“Transgender equality is the civil rights issue of our time,” says a tweet issued Saturday from Joe Biden’s campaign.

The declaration comes as Biden strives to keep ahead of Bernie Sanders, who has a long history of supporting legal rights and status for people who say they are transgender.Joe Biden (Text Join to 30330)@JoeBiden

Let’s be clear: Transgender equality is the civil rights issue of our time. There is no room for compromise when it comes to basic human rights.

The text implies Biden, if elected president, would fully enforce the transgender ideology on 325 million Americans, whether in sports, the military, K-12 schools, and healthcare.

The ideology says people have the government-enforced right to be treated as male or female according to their sense of “gender identity.”

But Biden’s tweet also threatens to create a new fissure in the Democrats’ ranks between the influential pro-transgender movement and the small but growing movement of “gender critical” feminists.

DID BERGOGLIO JUST CRY, “UNCLE!” ?

FROM ROME EDITORLEAVE A COMMENT

by Br. Alexis Bugnolo

I think Bergoglio just cried, “Uncle!” — This expression in American English means that he surrendered to his opposition.

I say this because of the announcement yesterday, that Cardinal Giovanni Battista Re was nominated by him as Dean of the College of Cardinals, and Cardinal Leonardo Sandri, the vice-Dean.

As you may know, if you read my recent article just a few days before the announcement:  The House of Cardinal Re, that Cardinal Re is the head of a large and powerful faction in the Church, on account of his having co-consecrated more than 160 Bishops, including Cardinal Sandri and Cardinal Burke.

To name Cardinal Re and Cardinal Sandri to 2 of the 3 positions of actual power in the College of Cardinals is a stunning development.

Stunning, because neither is a member of the House of Rampolla del Tindaro, and thus neither shares an episcopal lineage with Bergoglio.

Stunning, because by giving that one faction 2 of the 3 votes necessary to call a Conclave or to decide NOT to call a Conclave, he has conceded the complaints from all the other factions in the Sacred Hierarchy and in the College of Cardinals that he not put these important offices in the hands of his own creatures.

Cardinal Re was made a Cardinal by Pope John Paul II.

Cardinal Sandri was made a Cardinal by Pope Benedict XVI.

What does this mean?

I think, first of all, it means that the complaints and protests which the faithful want to hear from the Bishops and Cardinals in public, have been made in private in an overwhelming matter. The College of Cardinals is first of all an ecclesiastical club of the highest order. They run the Church more than anyone thinks, and their power comes from this, that no one becomes pope without their placet and election.

Second, I believe it means that there is now widespread and universal opposition to Bergoglio in the College of Cardinals and in the College of Bishops, which is not spoke of in public, but which is at fever pitch in private.

Finally, I think it means that Bergoglio has caved to these complaints. By putting the next Conclave, or lack thereof, in the hands of another faction, he has admitted that the House of John Paul II and the House of Benedict XVI have definitively rejected his attempts at making the Church into another religion.

But perhaps I am being too hopeful. So keep praying!

In the meantime, insist with your local pastors TO REJECT EVERYTHING OF THE PONTIFICATE OF BERGOGLIO and point to this act of surrender as the sign to begin the rebellion to his faux pontificate of apostasy!

And write to Cardinal Re and URGE him not to convoke a conclave if Pope Benedict XVI is still alive and Bergoglio is gone, or to convoke one, if Benedict passes away, while Bergoglio remains. You can write the Cardinal at this address:

WHAT DOES THE WORD “CATHOLIC” MEAN ??????

HOW TO DISCERN WHEN ‘CATHOLIC’ MEDIA IS CATHOLIC?

FROM ROME

EDITOR

by Br. Alexis Bugnolo

On line media is in constant competition for viewership. Catholic online media is the same. That is simply a fact of the medium.

But what most Catholics perhaps are not sensitive too, is that when seeking information about the Catholic Faith or the Catholic Church the verity of the source of the information is just as important as the information. Some websites and Media operations are just not worthy of trust. Many use the name ‘Catholic’ but are not worthy of it.

What does “Catholic” mean?

As a word, “catholic” is derived from the Greek adjective meaning universal, that is, that which pertains to everywhere, every place.  It was in the second century, A. D., at Antioch, in the Roman Province of Syria, where this Greek word was first used in reference to the Church founded by Jesus Christ. The meaning of the term in reference to the Church has always been the same: the institution which wherever it is in the world, holds the same faith of Christ. (“Faith of Christ”‘ is the traditional term for the Catholic Faith; in which ”of” does not refer to the faith of the person but the Faith taught by the person).

But today I am going to use the term “‘Catholic” in a slightly different sense, because online “Catholic’ media are not part of the Catholic Church, though some of these outlets are official works or apostolates of certain Dioceses of the Catholic Church.

Instead, here I will use the term “Catholic”‘ in the common and popular sense used in American English, to refer to the orthodoxy of the information presented. Here I used the term “orthodoxy” not in reference to the Greek schismatics, but in its proper etymological sense of ‘right teaching’.

To be Catholic a Media site has to meet certain criteria

First, a Catholic site must meet certain criteria to be worthy of being judged “Catholic”.  As I just said, I am not using the term, “Catholic”, in reference to whether the website is sponsored or approved by an ecclesiastical institution or diocese. I am using it in reference to right teaching in matters of faith or morals etc.

By “criteria”, which is the plural of “criterion”, I mean rules or principles by which a thing is judged to be what it is or claims to be. It is only sane an rational, that if something is to be judged it be judged by objective norms, not by opinion, not by claims, not by emotions etc.. Is the website or journalist you read for information about the Catholic Faith or the Catholic Church (here I used “Catholic” in the original sense at it was used at Antioch in Syrian in the second century A. D.) truly Catholic (here I use “Catholic” in the sense of conforming to right teaching or orthodoxy)?

Because if it is not truly Catholic, but is seeking your attention and or financial support, then you are being defrauded. Now, no one can insist you not let yourself be defrauded, but common sense tells us that we should not let ourselves be defrauded, because self-preservation, the fundamental moral principle of all human action, demands that we protect ourselves from fraud and from being defrauded.

This consideration is raised to the level of the infinite, when we consider that if we let ourselves be defrauded or mislead in regard to the Catholic Faith or to what the Church teaches or as regards how as Catholics we should act in regard to God, His Church, or any other matter, then we risk consenting to our eternal damnation by accepting lies in place of truth, lies which turn us away from saving truth, lies which confirm us in error and vice, lies which, when accepted, merit for us eternal damnation, because it is a mortal sin to knowingly accept a lie, and it is a mortal sin of imprudence to put yourself in constant danger of accepting lies.

There is a moral obligation then, to use discernment

Discernment is the act whereby we apply what we know is true or just to a matter which needs to be judged as to whether it conforms to the proper truth or justice to be had in a particular matter or affair.

For example: at the supermarket, you discern whether to buy a product or not based on its apparent quality and whether the price is proportionate to that and your need for the product. Yes, there are individuals who go to the supermarket and just buy anything they see for no reason at all. They have no discernment, and some of them have a psychological disorder known as the compulsive buyer.

I suppose there may be a disorder called the compulsive reader or listener syndrome, but I have never heard of it.  Reading and listening should be an activity which employs more discernment than shopping for food. Not only because the act itself must be undertaking with understanding, which is an ant of the intellect, the power of judging, but also because what is read or listened to — here I am not speaking of music or simply video per se — should be the truth or at least a true criticism of error or a true presentation of facts.

Just as one may be occasionally fooled by street corner hustlers, who say one thing, simply to get something from us, and what they say is nearly always entirely a lie, so we should e cautious in matters of our Catholic Faith, because we live in an age of hucksters and false apostles and calculated and contrived deceit of the most nefarious kind.

So if you are to protect yourself, you need to use discernment. And if you have any true charity for those in your family or who know you and might follow your example in anything, then keeping yourself free from error, by not allowing yourself to be deceived, is essential to protecting them too from error and lies which could lead them astray.

A Reputation is founded upon facts and deeds

Here we must keep in mind that it is one thing to make a claim and another to exhibit the comportment or behavior which is consonant with that claim. Many websites do not actually claim to be “catholic’ in any sense of the word, but nevertheless constantly publish information about the Catholic Faith or the Catholic Church.

Before Vatican II, it was the Catholic Clergy who directed or ran nearly all Catholic media. That is what it meant for it to be Catholic. Being trained in institutions which were Catholic in both senses of the word, the clergy who ran them were competent to execute the duty entrusted to them.

Nowadays, however, very few media outlets are run by clergy. Moreover, since Vatican II, the anti-Church forces in the Church have nearly entirely destroyed the formation process of the Catholic clergy, to such an extent that it is a rare priest and bishop who knows the Catholic Faith well enough to be even able to speak as a Catholic at all times, let alone think as one, or run a Catholic media outlet.

Having self proclaimed Catholic journalists or apostolates take over what these Catholic  Clergy used to accomplish is obvious not the best solution nor even a solution. It puts the important apostolate of spreading the truth of the Gospel in the hands of men who were never trained or examined or proven to be worthy of that truth. And it makes the Catholic Faith appear to be something like the Anglican church, that is, a collection opinions which are up for grabs.

There is also a lot of deep pride and egoism in men and women who were never in a formation program and never learned what it means to mortify your ego and live for Christ Christ and obey His Church in the proper sense of those words. And not a few websites exhibit this. Egoism is a form of idolatry, so everyone needs to beware of this disorder, since it makes a person subject to being taunted this way or that, as the Devil may want them to do, to achieve his greater plans against souls and the Church.

So you should pay attention to what is being said and whether it conforms to the Catholic Faith. And when a source of information habitually deviates from the Catholic Faith on any point, you need to take care not to be led astray.  Some Catholics have the intellectual gifts and preparation that they can discern this and avoid the error while plucking a few grapes of truth from a source of information which is thus vitiated. But most Catholics do not have this ability. We need to be honest and confess this.

This is even more true, when we recognize that as human beings, we are wont to trust in others, and that in the present crisis in the Church our habit of trusting in others can be and is being abused by unscrupulous men, clergy and lay alike.

The duty of Catholics who publish

Catholic websites and media outlets have a graver duty to publish the truth than anyone else, because to publish a lie which is read by thousands is to commit a mortal sin in regard to each and every person who reads what is published. Catholic journalism and Catholic social media apostolates, therefore, are a fast track to hell if run by those without discernment and zeal for the truth. This is why not a few of them are patently diabolic, because while they are capable of knowing the truth, and have been presented with the truth, they fail to publish it or even worse attack it.

The Devil in Social Media…

I recall the example of a Catholic Diocesan Newspaper which was asked by a humanitarian organization to run an advertisement on behalf of defending and helping Catholics being persecuted in the Mid-East by ISIS.  The director of advertising refused, because he said it would create confusion about the Gospel message of forgiveness. A more diabolically contrived response was never had.

You see, there is a global effort now underway to undermine everyone’s grasp on reality and on real religion, because reality itself is seen as the enemy of the agenda which needs to be pushed. The ones pushing such a diabolic conspiracy have oodles of money and are willing to spend it to control Catholic Social Media sites, so they print and publish lies and stop printing and publishing the truth.

Catholic media which are run by organizations or corporations are directly vulnerable, because it is sufficient that the enemies of the Faith gain control of the organization or corporation to direct or control the information they put out. EWTN is a classic example. Before Mother Angelica had her stroke, the station was solidly catholic. After she had her stroke, laymen took control and these laymen were then suborned by unfaithful Bishops to alter the kind of information put out.  EWTN then began to purchase other Catholic media outlets and the same kind of control of information spread. When asked in 2016 to run advertisements to help persecuted Christians, EWTN refused because they said it would have disastrous consequences to their apostolate world wide.  I guess they mean by apostolate, their sources of funding or control.

Catholic media which are run by individuals are vulnerable inasmuch as the funding they seek or receive is controlled or not by those who want error promoted and truth suppressed.

You can easily know if a source of information about the Church or the Faith is compromised by simply compare what they are saying with the documents which are published by the Church or in ages past.

A classic example of fraud, today, is that which is perpetrated by those who promote the opinion of universal acceptance of a papal election. They boldly share images of the text in question, of the Thomistic author they cite as an authority, which text clearly uses the word “canonically” in reference to elected, and then proceed to apply the principle to the case of the present crisis in the Church as if the word “canonically” was not in the text.

When confronted with the documents of the Church which say that a pope resigns when he renounces his munus, they ignore the word munus, and place a X which they will with whatever word they like, and claim that a resignation is valid, whenever a pope says the word “renounce” X.

These are just two current examples of fraud which show clearly that such individuals or sits are not Catholic and that in reading them you are being defrauded of the truth and led astray. And as a Franciscan hermit, I can tell you that such a habitual practice of deceiving in matters of religion is no small vice. It is deeply evil, and there is something behind it more than just egoism.

So I exhort one and all, use discernment when you go online to learn more about the Catholic Faith or the Catholic Church. Look for sites which quote documents and are faithful in their reading and application of the truth which the Church has always taught.

THE Holy Spirit DOES NOT SHOUT TO US, HE WHISPERS IN THE SECRECY OF OUR CONSCIENCE

Fr. Rutler’s Weekly ColumnJanuary 26, 2020
Precisely one year ago in the Italian town of Cremona, there was an imposed silence by order of the local government for eight hours a day, six days of the week for five straight weeks. The purpose was to allow the pristine recording by highly technical equipment of sounds played on the 1700 Antonio Stradivari “Stauffer” cello, the 1727 Antonio Stradivari “Vesuvius” violin, a 1615 “Stauffer” viola by Girolamo Amati, and the 1734 “Prince Doria” violin by Guarneri del Gesù. Cremona’s most famous luthier, of course, was Stradivari, and no one knows how many centuries from now such instruments as the Stradivarius violins can survive.   It is harder to make silence than noise. Because of modern cacophony, especially in what passes for music in the form of amplified “rock” sounds, young people are growing increasingly deaf. In urban areas, silence is so uncommon that one becomes suspicious of silence, rather like the dog that did not bark in Arthur Conan Doyle’s “Silver Blaze” detective story. Sherlock Holmes said that it was Dr. Watson’s “great gift for silence” that made him so useful.   Satan and his evil spirits are noisy. Jesus told an evil spirit to be silent (Mark 1:25). The Greek Φιμώθητι (Phimōthēti) simply means “Shut up!” Our Lord always was precise. So should we be, in order to hear God. “Be still and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10).   The surrealist poet Dame Edith Sitwell said, “My personal hobbies are reading, listening to music, and silence.” She might have benefitted arts and letters had she been silent more often. But, after all, she eventually made her Profession of Faith at the Farm Street Church in London with Evelyn Waugh as her sponsor. Neither was famous for reticence, but they did profit from moments of quietude. Those who do not think deeply will not understand how painful it is to those who have powers of concentration, to be interrupted by frivolous chatter.   Saint Anthony helped to change the world by isolating himself in a desert. This is why retreats in one form or another are crucial, for a retreat is actually a frontal attack on the noisy Anti-Christ. The pope himself recently said that folks should put down their iPhones and listen to silence, which has a sound of its own. When Barnabas and Paul spoke at the Council in Jerusalem, “All the people kept silent . . .” (Acts 15:12). We can be thankful that they did not have cell phones.   God will not have to shout at us if we do not “harden our hearts” (Hebrews 3:15). Instead, as with Elijah, “. . . the Lord wasnot in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the Lordwas not in the earthquake; and after the earthquake a fire, butthe Lord was not in the fire; and after the fire a still, small voice” (1 Kings 19:11-13). Faithfully yours in Christ,Father George W.
