Above: the nave of St. Thomas More Cathedral, the apostolic chair of Arlington.
On July 29, 2022, Bishop Michael Burbidge, Bishop of Arlington, Virginia, promulgated a “Policy for Implementation of Traditionis Custodes in the Diocese of Arlington.” Effective September 8, 2022, the Tridentine Mass can no longer be offered in parish churches in Arlington. (There is a two-year exception for three parishes, which may be extended, if they are making satisfactory progress toward implementing the new Mass.) In five other locations in the diocese, the Tridentine Mass may be offered in locations other than the parish church. The nearest location to me will be the gymnasium of a Montessori school.
The diocesan newspaper, The Arlington Catholic Herald, covered the story. The newspaper reported that the bishop emphasized two objectives: first, “…the Diocese of Arlington will be obedient to the Holy Father’s directives, working toward unity in our use of liturgical rites.” Second, “… the diocesan instruction related to Traditionis Custodes would be sensitive to those who attend the Traditional Latin Mass.”
The bishop thus suggests that he has balanced obedience to Rome with the needs of those in his diocese who are attracted to the Traditional Latin Mass. His words, however, do not support such a suggestion.
The Latin Mass Was Always Going To Be Banned in Arlington
The bishop discussed his decision process during his weekly podcast, the “Walk Humbly Podcast of Bishop Michael Burbidge,” Episode 96, August 10, 2022. The Bishop reiterated his first objective: we will show fidelity and loyalty to the Holy Father and to his directives. That’s who we are as Catholics. That’s what I promised when I accepted to be a bishop. And so that was always the key. (Emphasis mine.)
My take: there was never any question that the implementation of Traditionis Custodes in the Diocese of Arlington would follow the instructions laid out in Traditionis Custodes and the Responsa ad Dubia. The Diocese of Arlington would fall into lockstep with the Archdiocese of Washington, D.C. and the Archdiocese of Chicago. I must have been mistaken about the authority and discretion of the local Ordinary in his diocese that is conferred by Canon 87. Fidelity, loyalty and obedience to Rome: those are the duties of the local Ordinary. That, apparently, is “who we are as Catholics.”
Bishop Burbidge’s rationale is a classic case of hyperuberültramontism, in which the arbitrary will of the Roman Pontiff is identified with the will of the Holy Spirit, which is not only against Tradition expressed in Canon 87, but also against the new Catechism (CCC, 1125) not to mention Vatican II’s Lumen Gentium 27 which condemns the notion that bishops are “vicars of the Roman Pontiffs.”
In the Diocese of Arlington, twenty-one of the seventy parishes offer the Traditional Latin Mass. In my own parish, our parish priests offer a Traditional Latin Mass on Sundays, three regularly-scheduled Traditional Latin Masses on weekdays, and additional Traditional Latin Masses on holy days, as well as additional, unscheduled Traditional Latin Masses during the week. In recent years, I have attended in our church two solemn Pontifical Masses offered by Bishop Athanasius Schneider. At the same time, our priests offer a full slate of Novus Ordo Masses. There is not a whiff of division among parishioners who prefer one liturgical form to the other.
Prior to the promulgation of his implementation Policy, the pastors in the diocese met with the bishop to impress upon him the importance of the Traditional Latin Mass in the daily lives of their parishioners. Many of us wrote to the bishop to implore him to forbear from implementing Traditionis Custodes, just like Msgr. Pope implored to bishops last fall. Yet the input from some bishops around the world to Rome outweighed the specific input from the pastors and parishioners in Bishop Burbidge’s own diocese. There was no weighing of pastoral needs, no balancing of obedience with pastoral care. Nothing was more important than the absolute necessity for worldwide “unity” in the use of liturgical rites.
It seems Bishop Burbidge was just following orders. And His Excellency made it clear that he expects the same fidelity, loyalty and obedience from his priests: I have to say I’m so grateful to my priests, but that’s who they are too: they promised respect and obedience. How many times in history has this cover been invoked by those in authority when confronted with conflicting obligations? As Dietrich von Hildebrand noted when the pope and bishops first tried to suppress the Latin Mass under Paul VI, “the valuing of unity over truth plays a central role in the crisis of the Church.”[1] Indeed, it is truly “Unity Über Alles,” even truth itself.
The Price of Obedience
Unlike the bishop, those parish priests and pastors will have to look the parents in the eye when they can no longer bring their children to church for the Mass that they have chosen for them. Those priests will have to face the altar boys who have chosen to learn and serve the Latin Mass at a proper altar. One priest will have to explain to my widow why her husband’s wish to be buried from his church with a requiem Mass cannot be fulfilled.
Make no mistake. This is not the “new normal,” where we will continue to have the Tridentine Mass, but just somewhere other than the parish church. The bishop wants us to believe that he is “sensitive” to those who attend the Latin Mass:
But I think we arrived at a place where I was able to announce that on any given Sunday the Traditional Latin Mass will be offered in eight locations throughout this diocese… for those that are spiritually nourished by this celebration. I don’t believe there’s a hardship for anyone to get to one of those locations.
“Any given Sunday.” Except when that Sunday happens to be Easter Sunday. He forgot to mention that his policy forbids the celebration of the Latin Mass during Holy Week and the Sacred Triduum or even the publication of the times when the usus antiquior is offered. How is this “spiritual nourishment?” What is the message, Excellency? Are you saying that the Tridentine Mass is not liturgically fit for the holiest season of the year? Are you saying that the need for unity in the use of liturgical rites outweighs any spiritual benefit the faithful might receive from attending the Mass of the Ages on Easter Sunday?
The tolerance of the Tridentine Mass clearly is only temporary. Bishop Burbidge says, This is not easy for any bishop or any diocese. It’s change. It’s a transition. “A transition” to exactly what, Excellency? Transition is a process, not an ending point. The ending point is stated clearly in Traditionis Custodes: use of the liturgical books promulgated by Saint Paul VI and Saint John Paul II as the sole expression of the lex orandi of the Roman Rite.
How is One Pope’s Motu Proprio More Authoritative than Another’s?
The bishop assures us that we would understand his decision better if only we would read what the Vatican has decreed. He says, I would always suggest that people read the documents, read the Motu Proprio, read the Responsa. Having read those documents, are we supposed to conclude that the bishop had no other choice than to do what he has done? Did it not concern you, Excellency, that in Traditionis Custodes, one pope specifically abrogated a motu proprio that had been issued by his immediate predecessor who still survives? Did it not concern you, Excellency, that Pope Benedict XVI had said in his 2007 motu proprio that the Roman Missal promulgated by Pope Saint John XXIII in 1962 had never been abrogated? Did it not concern you, Excellency, that Pope Benedict XVI also said that the coexistence of the two forms of the Latin rite would not be divisive? Did it not concern you, Excellency, that some future pope, of a different mind than Francis, might hold you accountable for your decision?
What changed from 2007 to 2021, other than the identity of the pope? When I read Summorum Pontificum and Traditionis Custodes, all I see is the scandal of one pope publicly contradicting his living predecessor on a matter so important as the very liturgy of the Catholic Church. Moreover, a higher principle is invoked by Benedict: Tradition, over and against the will of Paul VI and the will of Vatican II, because the former undergirds and is the foundation of the latter two.
While we are on the subject of relevant documents, I have also read Sacrosanctum Concilium, the claimed source for the liturgical “reforms” being implemented in Traditionis Custodes. This official document of the Second Vatican Council states that, “…the use of the Latin language is to be preserved in the Latin rites” (36). And, a fortiori, as a general principle, it states from the outset that
in faithful obedience to tradition, the sacred Council declares that holy Mother Church holds all lawfully acknowledged rites to be of equal right and dignity; that she wishes to preserve them in the future and to foster them in every way (4).
Notice that the Council itself must obey Tradition.
How did Traditionis Custodes flow from such imperative statements? Apparently we are to believe that the banishing of Latin Masses to off-parish locations is a permissible interpretation of the directive of the Council to preserve the Latin language and the ancient Roman, Latin rite. I think Cardinal Ratzinger, who was actually present at the Council, had a better and more faithful interpretation of the document and the will of the Council Fathers:
It is good to recall here what Cardinal Newman observed, that the Church, throughout her history, has never abolished nor forbidden orthodox liturgical forms, which would be quite alien to the Spirit of the Church.[2]
We Are Not Without Hope
When our shepherds fail us, the faithful are not without resources. On February 28, 2020, Bishop Athanasius Schneider, commenting on the state of the Church under Pope Francis, reminded us:
In the first place, there is the sensus fidelium, the supernatural sense of the faith (sensus fidei). It is the gift of the Holy Spirit, by which the members of the Church possess the true sense of the faith. This is a kind of spiritual and supernatural instinct that makes the faithful sentire cum Ecclesia (think with the mind of the Church) and discern what is in conformity with the Catholic and Apostolic faith handed on by all bishops and popes, through the Universal Ordinary Magisterium.
We know our faith. We know when things are not right. We are able to discern that which is in conformity with the Catholic and Apostolic faith and that which is not. We will live and worship with the mind of the Church, guided by the Holy Spirit, and not by some papal whim of the moment, until, as Fulton Sheen remarked, our bishops act like bishops.
Editor’s note: for a penetrating analysis of the dogma of the infallibility of the sensus fidelium (Lumen Gentium, 12) applied to the Catholic doctrine of conscience and the virtue of obedience, see the treatise True Obedience by our contributing editor, Peter A. Kwasniewski.

Media-Hyped Abortion Horror Stories August 23, 2022 The following article was written by the Catholic League communications director Michael P. McDonald: We generally assume that the press will provide fair and accurate information on subjects of great importance. Sadly, the only “press” the media really seem to care about is supporting the full-court press of the woke mob to advance its progressive agenda. This has become obvious in how the media have chosen to cover the subject of access to abortions, particularly in states that have enacted life-saving legislation to defend the unborn. On the heels of the Dobbs decision, the media have run numerous horror stories meant to highlight the plight of women. The headlines might not be as blunt as the sex education teacher in “Mean Girls” who declares “You will get pregnant and die!” However, that appears to be the sentiment of the reporting. Since the end of June, the media have provided an incessant barrage of stories to convince the public that with the reversal of Roe women face a clear and present danger. Here is a sampling of their reporting: June 24, 2022—”Nearly 100 Years Later, a Family Remembers an Illegal Abortion That Ended in Tragedy” by Deena Prichep, NPR: With the Dobbs ruling just that day, it was too soon to have current tales of woe about women not having access to abortion. However, Prichep decided to open the archives to tell the tale of a woman who died in the 1920s because she chose to get a back-alley abortion. Prichep wonders if this tale from the past will soon be repeated as abortion access becomes more restricted. July 1, 2022—”Patients Head to Indiana for Abortion Services as Other States Restrict Care” by Shari Rudavsky and Rachel Fradette, Indianapolis Star: The Star’s reporters recount the tale of a 10 year-old girl from Ohio who became pregnant after an illegal immigrant living with the family raped her. At the time, the identity of the father was unknown. This story went on to make international headlines, and even President Joe Biden cited this story for why women need access to abortion. July 18, 2022—”After New Abortion Laws, Some Patients Have Trouble Obtaining Miscarriage Treatment” by Pam Belluck, The New York Times: Belluck warns that the surgical procedures and medications to manage miscarriages are identical to those used in abortions. As a result, hospitals are failing to provide women who miscarry with adequate medical care because doctors fear running afoul of laws intended to restrict abortion access. To highlight this sad situation, Belluck relays the tale of a woman who had a miscarriage and was sent home with instructions only to return to the hospital if she bled profusely enough to fill a diaper. While this is a tragic tale, it should be noted this was not a result of a pro-life law, but rather the choice of the hospital and doctors involved. July 18, 2022—”Abortion’s Illegal in the Catholic Majority Philippines, So More Than a Million Women a Year Turn to Other Options” by Heather Chen, CNN: Chen compares apples and oranges by comparing states in America that restrict abortion access to the Philippines where abortion is practically banned. It is true that some Filipino women may consider an abortion because they face many health challenges during their pregnancies, but it is also true many people in the Philippines face health challenges daily because it is a developing nation and access to modern medicine is limited. The same problems present in the Philippines are not present in the United States. Nevertheless, Chen portrays the nation, noting it is rooted in the Catholic faith, as a warning for what the United States will become in a post-Roeworld. July 19, 2022—”Why Is the Right Forcing Women Who Miscarry to Suffer” by Michelle Goldberg, The New York Times: A woman had to travel to Michigan to receive care for her ectopic pregnancy meanwhile a woman in Texas developed a uterine infection because she could not get an abortion after she miscarried. These are the sordid anecdotes that Goldberg presents to her readers insisting that laws designed to protect the unborn are to blame for the suffering of these women. July 19, 2022—”Pregnancy Often Traumatic for Young Girls, Experts Say” by Stephanie Nolen, The New York Times: Drawing inspiration from the 10 year-old girl featured in the Indianapolis Star, Nolen examines the serious harm that a young girl can experience if she becomes pregnant. To make this point, though, she has to turn to evidence from developing countries where child-brides are culturally acceptable. While the health outcomes for these girls are poor, so too are the health outcomes for most people living in developing countries. Nolen is making a false comparison. In developed countries with modern medicine most of these risks can be minimized. Further, since child-brides are not part of our culture, most of the concerns about young girls getting pregnant could be minimized with a strong focus on abstinence. July 19, 2022—”No Room for Religious Liberty in Abortion Debate? Since When Are We a One-Faith Nation?” by Jill Lawrence, USA Today: Lawrence begins by telling the story of Savita Halappanavar, a 31 year-old woman who died from complications related to her pregnancy in Ireland in 2012. She then pivots to say that restrictions on abortion will curtail the religious freedoms of people who do not share a Catholic or Christian perspective on when life begins. Of course, the science is clear that life begins at conception, and even if some religions permit abortion, Lawrence does not identify a major religion that accepts it as a tenant of their faith. July 19, 2022—”Louisiana Woman Forced to Endure ‘Painful’ Labor to Deliver Nonviable Fetus” by Khaleda Rahman, Newsweek: A woman in Louisiana was unable to get an abortion after she miscarried. Rather than perform the procedure, her doctors made her endure hours of labor, according to Rahman. The woman is suing along with several abortion providers in the state to stop the enforcement of Louisiana’s limits on abortions. Of course, the law in question would not have prevented her doctors from managing her miscarriage. July 19, 2022—”Women are Being Forced to Deliver Nonviable Fetuses Because of Abortion Bans” by Paul Blest, Vice: Not to be out done, Blest not only tells his readers the same story of the woman in Louisiana and the 10 year-old from Ohio, but he also relays the tale of a woman in Texas who had to undergo three ultrasounds and wait two weeks to get care to manage her miscarriage. July 24, 2022—”Interstate Abortion Travel Is Already Straining Parts of the System” by Margot Sanger-Katz, The New York Times: As states implement laws restricting abortion access, women have taken long arduous journeys to obtain these procedures. The state most inundated with these “abortion-seeking refugees” is New Mexico. Massive influxes of women from Texas and other states has caused the wait time to increase to three weeks to get an appointment. According to Sanger-Katz, this is the beginning of a national trend that ultimately will limit abortion access even in states that do not value the life of the unborn. July 28, 2022—”States with Abortion Bans Are among Least Supportive of Women and Children” by Emily Badger, The New York Times: Badger notes that states that prevent women from seeking abortions are typically Southern, poor, and have fewer resources. So not only do these states force women to have their children, but they also do nothing to care for these poor women after motherhood is foisted upon them. August 16, 2022—”Florida Court Says Teen Isn’t Mature Enough to Get an Abortion” by Arek Sarkissian, Politico: A pregnant 16 year-old girl, who does not live with her parents, sought to get a waiver from the court to circumvent Florida’s parental notification law. The court denied her request deeming her not mature enough to make the decision. While the court may revisit the issue in the future, the slant Sarkissian takes is that a conservative court in a conservative state is foisting an unwanted pregnancy on a minor. While these macabre tales would sound fitting for an anthology of gothic horror stories, the media have presented them as grounded in truth. In reality, there are glaring holes in each story, but this is part of the radical pro-abortion faction’s strategy to convince America that any limitations placed on their butchery will cause untold levels of suffering. An honest look at the facts paints an entirely different picture. Limiting access to elective abortions has practically no impact on women’s health. For instance, of the 23 states with abortion-restricting laws that can now be enforced after the Dobbs ruling, every state has an exemption for the life of the mother. Additionally, no state has laws that would prevent a medical professional from providing miscarriage management or caring for a woman who has an ectopic pregnancy. A deeper dive into why women get abortions reveals that most of the horror stories presented by the media are anomalies and do not even come close to constituting the majority of abortions. In a 2004 survey, the pro-abortion Guttmacher Institute found that four percent of abortions were related to concerns regarding maternal health. An additional three percent were procured for “possible problems affecting the health of the fetus.” Taken as a whole, approximately seven percent of abortions were for medical reasons. Victims of rape constituted less than half a percent. In other words, even according to the pro-abortion camp, over 92 percent of all abortions have nothing to do with the horror stories cited by the media. However, the media do not let the facts get in the way of a good ghost story. As we get into the Fall and election season, look out for an increase in volume and intensity of these horror stories.

Joe Bidens building a $500,000 security fence around his $2.7 million beach house in Delaware at taxpayers expense
But wait. A FENCE?! If you remember, last year, Biden ordered the Department of Homeland Security to STOP building a security fence on America’s Southern border. Democrats and corporate Republicans have always made fun of conservatives – from Donald Trump on down – for wanting to “Build the Wall!”
They say walls don’t work. But they have no problems building walls around their own homes. It’s a pattern, actually.
Liberal elites say guns don’t keep us safe… but they all have armed security.
They say carbon fuels are destroying the environment… but they all fly in private jets.
They say school choice is bad… but they send their own kids to expensive private schools.
Everything conservatives want for the American people, woke Democrats want only for themselves. . The Washington Establishment doesn’t like conservative Senate candidates. They want corporate lapdogs, not principled fighters. So if conservatives want to win in 2022, we can’t rely on them to help – we have to do it ourselves.

abyssumAug 22 Sioux Falls Diocese’s Norms On Sexuality August 22, 2022 Catholic League president Bill Donohue comments on guidelines issued by the Diocese of Sioux Falls on sexuality: The Diocese of Sioux Falls has issued a policy on human sexuality that is fair, yet firm, and in complete agreement with Catholic moral theology and social teachings. Bishop Donald E. DeGrood has the wisdom and courage not to duck the hard questions that such a policy entails, especially these days. In a time when sexual engineers in government, the schools and the healthcare industry are busy promoting the virtues of sexual reassignment surgery for young people—all in the name of transgender rights—it is refreshing to see a senior member of the Catholic Church directly confront the mythologies that gender ideology entertains. More important, Bishop DeGrood has alerted school administrators, teachers, coaches and guidance counselors of their obligation to remain faithful to Catholic teachings in a time when those who do so are subjected to insult and abuse. “All persons have inherent human dignity and are thus deserving of innate respect as a person. Bullying, harassment, or threats or acts of violence against any student based on that student’s perceived sex, same-sex attraction, or perceived gender identity, will not be tolerated.” Those are the first words of the policy on human sexuality. They reflect the centrality of Catholic teachings on the human person, and they make clear that while transgender ideology will not be countenanced, no student, regardless of his sex or perceived sex, will be treated unfairly. Unfair critics of this policy will seize on some of the more specific parts of it. “Students may not advocate, celebrate, or express same-sex attraction in such a way as to cause confusion or distraction in the context of Catholic school classes, activities, or events.” Similarly, “Students may not advocate, celebrate, or express transgenderism in such a way as to cause confusion or distraction in the context of Catholic school classes, activities or events.” Other parts of the policy that will be criticized by some include the following. “Students are to wear only those uniforms and conform to all dress codes in accord with his or her biological sex.” Boys can only use bathrooms for boys. Ditto for girls. Everyone will use the correct pronouns when referring to boys (“he,” “him,” etc.) and girls (“she,” “her,” etc.). Boys cannot play girls’ sports, and vice versa. Bishop DeGrood’s commonsensical policy is accompanied by a well-written letter he released on August 4. “Some people have come to accept transgender ideology out of a wish to express affirmation or tolerance for others. Insofar as this is motivated by the innate desire to love others, it contains a seed of goodness. But at the same time, there are serious concerns around what transgender ideology claims or teaches.” The next sentence is critical. “Given the relatively brief period it has been part of our human experience,” he says, “there is also a seeming lack of regard for transgenderism’s consequences for individuals and the human family.” Yes, transgenderism is an ideology: it is a pernicious set of ideas that denies the biblical truths about male and female. The bishop pulls no punches about it. Gender ideology “asserts that men can become pregnant and women can become fathers. It also teaches that a person might not be a man or a woman at all but might be a blend of both, or neither. It variously asserts that one’s gender might be wrongly ‘assigned’ at birth and also that it may be ‘fluid’ and change throughout one’s life.” Not only does this mean the adoption of a distorted vocabulary to refer to transgender persons, the bishop says, it may mean “using surgery or drugs to ‘affirm’ one’s asserted transgender identity. These can include powerful drugs to stop normal pubertal development in adolescents, hormones to spur the development of cross-sex secondary sexual characteristics in post-pubescent aged youth or adults, and/or surgeries to one’s face, torso, or reproductive organs to give the appearance of being the opposite sex.” The wording is precise and a much needed antidote to the reigning madness on this subject. Kudos to Bishop DeGrood. Not only is his policy a model for every diocese, it is a model for every school in the nation, public or private. Let him know your support. Fire chaplain sues city of Austin for firing him for sharing religious view on personal blog
ADF attorneys represent Dr. Andrew Fox in federal lawsuit
AUSTIN, Texas – Alliance Defending Freedom attorneys filed suit last week in federal court on behalf of Dr. Andrew Fox against the city for firing the former volunteer chaplain of the Austin Fire Department for sharing his religious view on his personal blog, in violation of his First Amendment rights.
Dr. Fox is an ordained minister who started Austin’s fire chaplaincy program and served as the city’s lead chaplain—a volunteer position—for eight years. After sharing on his personal blog his religious and commonsense view that men and women are biologically different and men should not compete on women’s sports teams, city officials demanded that Dr. Fox recant and apologize for expressing that view, and then proceeded to fire him.
“Everyone should be able to speak freely without fear of the government coming after you just because you expressed a view they disagree with,” said ADF Senior Counsel Ryan Bangert. “Dr. Fox served Austin’s fire department—without pay—for eight years with excellence and integrity, treating everyone equally, including those in the LGBT community. But none of that mattered to city officials when he shared one opinion on his personal blog that they didn’t like. No matter your personal view on whether men should be allowed to compete on women’s sports teams, it should deeply concern every American that the government can fire someone for expressing it.”
As the complaint in Fox v. City of Austin filed in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas, Austin Division, states: “For eight years, Dr. Fox walked side-by-side with first responders and their families, providing a listening ear and source of prayer as they encountered deaths, suicides, and other tragedies. For eight years, Dr. Fox provided all firefighters with consistent care and equal treatment no matter who they were, including those in the LGBT community. For eight years, Dr. Fox treated everyone he encountered with dignity and respect as he ministered to others in accordance with his religious beliefs and fire department policy. And he did this all voluntarily—without pay—out of love for the men and women who sacrificially serve their community.”
The complaint continues: “No one ever accused him of discriminating against anyone or treating anyone improperly. To the contrary, the City lauded him for his integrity and service. Dr. Fox consistently shared his religious and philosophical reflections online for years without any problem. It was only when Dr. Fox expressed a particular set of views that officials disliked that the City extinguished Dr. Fox’s career.… Americans cannot learn to respect each other’s differences when they face career-crushing consequences anytime their personal beliefs, expressed openly on their own time outside of work, contradict the ideological commitments of some HR officials.”
Dr. Fox, who is a resident of Williamson County, Texas, served in a voluntary capacity as lead chaplain of the Austin Fire Department for eight years until his dismissal in December 2021.
ADF attorneys successfully litigated and won a religious liberty case on behalf of Atlanta’s fire chief in Cochran v. City of Atlanta.
Alliance Defending Freedom is an alliance-building, non-profit legal organization committed to protecting religious freedom, free speech, parental rights, and the sanctity of life.
The FBI has been transformed into the secret police of the radical Left
Over the last several years, it has become increasingly clear that the FBI and other federal law enforcement agencies have completely lost focus on their purpose, which is to protect the American public.
Now these well-funded agencies only care about one thing, and that is coming after former President Trump.
But no matter how hard they look, and how hard they try to frame Trump, he just keeps proving himself innocent of whatever crimes the Left hopes he committed.
The recent early-morning raid on Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate is the height of the Left’s latest witch hunt.
Make no mistake, there was nothing normal about this raid.
Not only were Trump’s lawyers not permitted to observe the raid, but according to recent reports, much of what the FBI confiscated may have been protected by attorney client privilege.
That means the FBI had no legal right to seize those documents, and everything in their position could be illegal, or at best fruit of the poisonous tree.
Fox News dropped a bombshell on Garland when they declared “The FBI seized boxes containing records covered by attorney-client privilege and potentially executive privilege during its raid of former President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home.”
The report went on to say ”the Justice Department opposed Trump lawyers’ request for the appointment of an independent, special master to review the records.”
The FBI and the DOJ are in very big trouble with the American public
It is becoming increasingly obvious that the Department of Justice led by Merrick Garland, and to a larger extent Joe Biden, are quickly losing the trust of the American public.
Not only did this raid prove that the rule of law means nothing to them, but it also shows that they have become the henchmen for the far-left.
This is not sitting well with the American public, who have voiced their concerns with the raid.
In the next several weeks and months, expect the Department of Justice to do everything they can to downplay the raid, even though it was a very big deal.
Voters will have the ultimate say this November when they head to the polls, and as of now things are not looking great for Democrats.
This raid has completely reenergized Trump and the Republican base who rightfully feel betrayed and lied to.
The FBI has a lot of explaining to do to the American public, who already do not trust the FBI after years of corruption and lies.
Perhaps the FBI could make themselves useful and go after Hunter Biden and Hillary Clinton for their laundry list of crimes.

Blue-States Struggle To Cope With New Republican Strategy
Republican Senator Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee let the public know on Monday that some migrants who are requesting asylum and being bused from Texas to different cities in America are instead getting off at earlier stops in Chattanooga and other areas.
Some migrants, according to Blackburn, are “threatening” bus drivers and demanding that they be allowed off the bus so they may head to sanctuary cities across the United States.
“What we’ve heard is that they’re threatening the drivers from time to time, and they want to get where their friends are,” Blackburn said. “They look at this as a safe passage across the nation, in their mind, if you will. And of course, sanctuary city policies like those implemented by many major cities across the nation, these huge blue metropolises, not in Chattanooga but others have set up – cartels have been free to establish themselves.”
“She continued, saying that gangs have their own hubs where they operate their sex-trafficking businesses.”
For an extended period of time, officials in Texas and Arizona have been transporting foreign asylum-seekers from the southern border to more populated northern cities like Washington, D.C., and New York to bring awareness to the pressing issue of migrants arriving weekly. Gov. Greg Abbott has asked that the mayors of those affected cities visit the border themselves to see the situation firsthand, but they refused and continue asking for federal government support instead.
Some of the migrants who have been boarding buses in Texas are not headed up north as many people think. WTVC-TV, a local news station in Tennessee, reported on Friday that Chattanooga had become a stopping point for charter buses carrying migrants from Texas to places along the East Coast. Some of these migrants apparently got off at a gas station in Rising Fawn, Georgia, and planned to walk about 30 miles until they reach Chattanooga. A McDonald’s employee stated that some migrant children got off one of the buses and started panhandling, asking random people for money so they could travel to Florida.
Officials have advised the migrants to stay on their buses until they reach their intended destination.
According to Blackburn, the majority of migrants exiting the bus were young men. He secondly went on to say that President Joe Biden’s policies play a part in promoting illegal immigration and giving human traffickers an opportunity to take advantage of people journeying to America.
