THERE WAS ONLY ONE MOMENT OF THE ACADEMY AWARDS CEREMONY THAT WAS WORTH WATCHING

!!!!

NEIL PATRICK HAYES

I only watched a few minutes of the Academy Awards last Sunday as I was surfing the channels on my TV, but I believe that I managed to catch what was probably the most important thing that the MC, Neil Patrick Hayes, said all evening.  Following the awarding of the Oscar to the documentary film Citizenfour, that was about Edward Snowden’s theft of classified documents, Hayes quipped that the absence of the subject of the documentary film, Snowden, was because he “could not be present for some treason.”  The remark received only scattered applause from the liberal audience, not because of political animus but because they were too dumb to grasp the cleverness of the quip/pun.

Probably the first one in the audience to applaud the remark was Clint Eastwood.
