The recent “report on sexual abuse” in the Archdiocese of Munich, headed by Cardinal Marx, and paid for by him, wherein the Holy Father Benedict was wantonly calumniated by the MSM round the world, on the basis of an intentionally distorted retelling of the facts.  Cardinal Duka has come to the same conclusion, canonically, a week ago, namely, that the then Archbishop of Munich, Joseph Ratzinger, had no canonical authority to discipline Father X, who was a priest in the Diocese of Essen Germany, and that therefore the charge of malfeasance was libelous.

Why is the Francis/Marx Team who apparently “Covered…up” Sex Abuse & promote Porn Anti-nuclear Family Propaganda Defaming Pope Benedict?

The From Rome website reported that “Cardinal Duka of Prague charges [Francis collaborator] Cardinal Marx with Defamation of Pope Benedict XVI”:

This regards the recent “report on sexual abuse” in the Archdiocese of Munich, headed by Cardinal Marx, and paid for by him, wherein the Holy Father was wantonly calumniated by the MSM round the world, on the basis of an intentionally distorted retelling of the facts.  Cardinal Duka has come to the same conclusion I did, canonically, a week ago, namely, that the then Archbishop of Munich, Joseph Ratzinger, had no canonical authority to discipline Father X, who was a priest in the Diocese of Essen Germany, and that therefore the charge of malfeasance was libelous.[https://www.fromrome.info/2022/02/11/cardinal-duka-of-prague-charges-cardinal-marx-with-defamation-of-pope-benedict-xvi/]

In June, Gloria.tv reported:

Francis has declined the [fake] “resignation” of Munich Archbishop Reinhard Marx, Germany, and asked him to continue as Munich Archbishop.

Marx “resigned” on May 21 not for personal but blaming others “for institutional failures.”

In a June 10 letter to his “Brother”, Francis praised Marx for his “courage”…

… Marx’ “resignation” was likely a media stunt or a controlled detonation regarding accusations from his time as Trier Bishop (2002-2008).  Alleged victims of homosexual abuses have claimed that Marx mishandled cases and “covered them up.”[https://www.gloria.tv/post/VJrTaSaB3UaD6uR6VRmSegpuR]

Also, Francis, it appears, is allowing, one of his closest collaborators, Cardinal Reinhard Marx and his German bishops to continue in the porn business which is a prime destroyer of family life.

Marx and the German bishop’s huge porn publishing company sold pornography for over a decade. The bishops were rebuked by Pope Benedict XVI after he was informed. After the papal rebuke, the German bishops promised the porn business would be sold according to Lifesitenews.com articles on October 31 and November 23, 2011.

The blog Vox Cantoris on September 18, 2015 wrote that Cardinal Marx and the German bishops were still in the same porn business and Francis did not “call them out.” The blog’s headline was “Why is Pope Francis blind to Germany’s rich and porn producing bishops?”:

“We know that they cannot win, that the “gates of Hell will not prevail” but in these times we must ask, ‘Where is the Pope?'”

“A few years ago, LifeSiteNews wrote about the ‘German Bishops being caught in a massive porn scandal.’ After a papal rebuke, they announced that it would be sold. Yet we find that one year ago, this has not only not happened; but these same filthy Rhine bishops actually pumped over one billion Euros from Catholics back into its production!”

“The Catholic Church in Germany is the largest employer after the Government and Mercedes-Benz with over 600,000 employees. Yes, you read that number correctly. The bishops in Germany also earn incomes of up to 150,000 Euros. There is no collection at the Offertory. The Church in Germany is funded through taxes and if you don’t pay you don’t receive the sacraments. This is simony! What lays behind this German assault on the truth at the Synod is their own survival as a privileged class of bishops in a failing Church. “

“These filthy degenerate bishops have taken control of this papacy and it is time to ask Francis a few questions.”

“Holy Father, why have you allowed this and what are you doing to cleanse the Church of this filth?”

In 2016, Francis’s next x-rated outrage was appointing Archbishop Vincenzo Paglia to head the Pontifical Council for the Family. The papal appointee commissioned a gay neo-pornographic mural at his former cathedral which was called “blasphemous,” “disgusting,” and “demonic” according to Lifesitenews.com on March 15, 2017.

Francis is apparently promoting porn, anti-nuclear family and homosexuality propaganda for “youth”:

Francis appointed the mural pornography commissioner to produce a sex education programwhich was released with the “apparent approval” of Francis on World Youth Day according to a March 6, 2017 article.

The article was written by psychological experts Gerard van den Aardweg and Rick Fitzgerald on Lifesitenews.com.

Paglia’s sex ed program used porn “like” that used by “sexual predators.”

The sex abuse experts stated that the Paglia headed Vatican Pontifical Council for the Family developed and approved the program called Meeting Point that “contained homoerotic and hetersexual pornography which was like that employed by adult predators of youth.”

The experts said “even more troubling is the role of Pope Francis. His apparent approval of the Meeting Point program… with its homoerotic content and hetersexual pornography was severely negligent.
(Lifesitenews, “Is the pontificate of Francis in the clutches of the gay lobby,” March 6, 2017)

The two experts said the porn predator-like program “should be withdrawn as soon as possible by the Vatican and its website closed.”

Moreover, in America, pro-abortion Black Lives Matter has joined Francis in apparently promoting homosexual and anti-nuclear family propaganda as documented by this Christian Post article:

The founders of the movement, the #BlackLivesMatter Foundation (BLMF), created it to radically shift culture. The far-left Ford Foundation, the world’s largest population control organization, vowed in 2016 to raise $100 million for the Movement for Black Lives (MFBL) — a nationwide coalition of BLM groups (including BLMF). MFBL released a shocking manifesto of policy positions that are deeply political and deeply disturbing.
Drawing mostly from those positions, here are the top ten reasons why I will never support the #BlackLivesMatter movement.
1. The premise isn’t true. According to the FBI’s latest homicide statistics, I’m eleven times more likely to be killed by someone of my own brown complexion than a white person. Also, a comprehensive 2019 study concluded: “White officers are not more likely to shoot minority civilians than non-White officers.” Every loss of life is tragic, but Washington Post’s database on police-involved deaths puts things into context. In 2020, among those killed were 76 black males and 149 white males (whose deaths are don’t get reported by national mainstream media). Only nine black individuals were actually unarmed.
2. There is no goal of forgiveness or reconciliation. None. It’s never mentioned on their sites. You can’t talk about the sins of the past and expect to move forward if there is no intention of forgiveness. I’m tired of the color-based oppressed/oppressor critical race theory paradigm. It’s not Gospel-centered. This should, immediately, be a deal-breaker for Christians.
3. It’s all about Black Power. It’s plastered all over the MFBL website. BLMF founders explain their “herstory”: “It became clear that we needed to continue organizing and building Black power across the country.” I don’t promote social colorblindness; I love all of our diverse hues of skin. But I’m so much more than my pigmentation. Martin Luther King promoted “God’s power and human power.” I’m with him.
4. They heavily promote homosexuality and transgenderism. “We foster a queer‐affirming network. When we gather, we do so with the intention of freeing ourselves from the tight grip of heteronormative thinking.” I’m not embracing confusion. The Bible is unambiguous about sexuality. Loving every human being is not the same as loving every human doing.
5. They completely ignore fatherhood. From BLMF: “We disrupt the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure requirement by supporting each other as extended families and ‘villages’ that collectively care for one another, especially our children, to the degree that mothers, parents, and children are comfortable.” Well, every “village” that has fatherless families is a village that suffers higher crime rates, higher drug usage, higher abortion rates, higher drop-out rates, higher poverty rates, and so much more. #DadsMatter.
6. They demand reparations. Ok. Sooooo, I guess the white half of me will have to pay the black half of me? If progressives want to push reparations, start with the Party of Slavery and Jim Crow — the Democrat Party! Let them ante up. But the #BlackLivesMatter movement bizarrely demands: “Reparations for…full and free access for all Black people (including undocumented and currently and formerly incarcerated people) to lifetime education…retroactive forgiveness of student loans, and support for lifetime learning programs.” Uhhh, good luck with that.
7. They want to abolish prisons and police forces. And…cue utter chaos. MFBL asserts: “We believe that prisons, police and all other institutions that inflict violence on Black people must be abolished…” Defund and remove the police have been rallying cries. That would be anarchy in any community. I advocate some needed police reforms, including more accountability and better community/police relations, but this is just foolishness.
8. They are anti-capitalism. Oh the irony of this declaration made by a movement that is the result of capitalism: “We are anti-capitalist. We believe and understand that Black people will never achieve liberation under the current global racialized capitalist system.” The videos that make us aware of police brutality are captured on phones that are a result of capitalism. The best way to elevate people out of material poverty? Capitalism. This system is why the United States is the most charitable nation.
9. Colin Kaepernick supports it. A “biracial” adoptee, Kaepernick is now obsessed with his “blackness.” He idolizes the late murderous Fidel Castro and Che Guevara and worships Malcolm X (just see his social media feeds). Malcolm X was anti-integration, pro-violence and a member of the virulently racist Nation of Islam (who forced him out). Kaepernick makes millions from Nike — a company whose entire Executive Leadership Team is white (isn’t this white supremacy???) — that makes its shoes in the most murderous regime in the world. Kaepernick, of course, is completely silent on that. But you know, #SocialJusticeWarrior.
10. Apparently, not all black lives matter. Pro-abortion BLMF declared: “We deserve and thus we demand reproductive justice [aka abortion] that gives us autonomy over our bodies and our identities while ensuring that our children and families are supported, safe, and able to thrive.” Aborted children don’t thrive. BLM groups announced “solidarity” with “reproductive justice” groups back in February 2015. You cannot simultaneously fight violence while celebrating it.

Puppet masses? Theologians ask what …

gloria.tv

Brian Williams‘ Liturgy Guy website asked “why” did Francis release “the motu proprio Traditionis custodes (TC) and the ensuing dubia… [that had a] complete lack of Christian charity or pastoral concern.”

The website’s answer to that question was that Francis and friends see the “Old Mass [as] a Threat to [his] New Religion” according to Williams’ post “The Old Mass is a Threat to Their New Religion”:

In the recently released book, From Benedict’s Peace to Francis’s War: Catholics Respond to the Motu Proprio Traditionis Custodes on the Latin Mass (Angelico Press, 2021), editor Peter Kwasniewski presents the reader with nearly 70 articles from various Catholic writers and publications released in the wake of the motu proprio.

“The old Mass is a threat to their new religion. Once you’ve understood that, you’ve understood everything.”

 […]

Lex orandi, lex credendi. How we pray (worship) is how (what) we believe. Their new religion has to have the new Mass. The Traditional Mass requires conformity, it supports orthodoxy and fosters it.

It appears Francis is right to fear the Traditional Latin Mass overthrowing the Francis Mass:

Bishop Rene Gracida on his official website ABYSSUS ABYSSUM INVOCAT / DEEP CALLS TO DEEPposted the following piece by the Catholic Monitor “It Appears that if the Trend Continues the Novus Ordo Mass may be Overthrown by Sheer Numbers”:

FRED MARTINEZ

“It Appears that if the Trend Continues the Novus Ordo Mass may be Overthrown by Sheer Numbers”

The future of the Catholic Church will be through the traditional Roman rite, Carmelite rite, Dominican rite, Carthusian rite, Sarum rite, Braga rite, Iberian rite, and all other legitimate ancient rites of the complex patrimony of our western Christendom.

The future never was, nor ever will be, actualized through rationalistically inspired iconoclasm concerning liturgy and the undermining orthodoxy and orthopraxy by Modernist clerics and their Masonic allies, who have demonically sought to accommodate to an ideological secularism and all that this implies.

At this point in time, one’s choice clearly is to be an ally of the saints and our true Catholic forbearers or of the aforementioned numerous arrogant and vicious fools who sought to destroy the Church during the twentieth century.
 – Catholic Monitor commenter MEwbank

New York Daily News reported that the fifty year-old Novus Ordo Mass is destroying the Catholic Church in America “[s]ince the 1960s, Mass attendance has plummeted, from around 70% of U.S. Catholics every Sunday and Holy Day.”

Ironically, however, the anti-Latin Mass Francis has inadvertently caused “a counterrevolution of sorts” that may overthrow the Novus Ordo Mass:

“Fifty years ago this weekend, the Catholic Church debuted a new version of Mass following reforms made by the 1960s’ Second Vatican Council. From the use of vernacular language instead of Latin, to the priest facing the people instead of the tabernacle, the changes became mandatory at all parishes on the First Sunday of Advent 1969.”

“… The resurgence of the traditional Latin Mass started before Francis, but has seen unprecedented growth during his papacy, a counterrevolution of sorts that some (both admirably and critically) call an alternative Francis effect. Even bishops and priests who were not ordinarily interested in the traditional Latin Mass have been much more generous and vocal in offering additional such liturgies. Two distinct wings of the Catholic Church have emerged. Often, the new versus the old Mass is a defining characteristic of the opposing coalitions.”

“… But after five decades of experiments and decline, there is some growth to be observed within the Catholic Church. Ironically, it is with traditionalists joining the priesthood, entering convents and attending parishes that offer the very Latin Mass that was replaced 50 years ago.”

“… The past 50 years have not been good ones for the Catholic Church. Pope Benedict saw this when he wrote, of the new form of Mass, ‘we abandoned the organic, living process of growth and development over centuries, and replaced it — as in a manufacturing process — with a fabrication, a banal on-the-spot product.’”

The Catholic Herald revealed that in the United States the Traditional Latin Mass attendees are the future real Catholics of the Church which will eventually out number the Novus Ordo Mass (NOM) attendees.

It appears that if the trend continues the Novus Ordo Mass may be overthrown by sheer numbers.

Traditional Latin Mass (TLM) attendees are over overwhelmingly real Catholics while New Mass or Novus Ordo Mass (NOM) attendees tend to be lapsed and heretical Catholics according to a new study by Fr. Donald Kloster:

Fulfill Sunday obligation:

TLM: 99℅ vs. NOM: 22℅

Approve of abortion:

TLM: 1℅ vs. NOM: 51℅

Go to Confession at least once a year:

TLM: 98℅ vs. NOM: 25℅

Approve of contraception:

TLM: 2℅ vs. NOM: 89℅

Support same-sex marriage:

TLM: 2℅ vs. NOW: 67℅

“TLM attendees donate 5 times more in the collection” according to Fr. Kloster.

IOW, the Catholic Church is not being destroyed by the New Mass, as we often fear. The Vatican II Church is destroying *itself* from within, by its own contradictions and deviations from the True Vine. The Catholic Church remains, as it always has and always will, pristine, serene, unchanging, unified with herself and with Christ, Her Head; Her bright light ready to shine again – but temporarily veiled by the dark cloak of ecumenical Vatican II religion.

Cardinal Pell said it best: “the new Vatican II religion is just boring”. Not the sort of thing that will cause anyone to leave everything behind for; to give their lives for; to light the world on fire for.

As a priest who says Both the NO and the TLM, the TLM will replace the NO as the norm. Everything this article says is correct. The old mass grows, the new declines. Like all great reforms in the Church, God so often works not from the top down, but from the bottom up. The grace of God working through the Catholic sense of the faithful will be the cause of victory.

STATEMENT OF ARCHBISHOP CARLO MARIA VIGANO ON THE CANADIAN TRUCK DRIVERS

Letter #31, 2022, Wednesday, February 9: Viganò    Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò has issued a statement — full text below — in support of the “Freedom Convot” of the Canadian truck drivers.    It seems significant that Viganò in this letter connects everything that has happened in the past two years — the virus, the lockdowns, the vaccines, the proposals for a “Great Reset” — with plans for a “new world order” which will be “post-Christian” and have a very restricted and marginal place for Jesus Christ as the Savior of humanity.    Viganò writes: “But even more, dear Canadian brothers, it is necessary to understand that this dystopia serves to establish the dictatorship of the New World Order and totally erase every trace of Our Lord Jesus Christ from society, from history, and from the traditions of peoples… Let us pray that Christ will return to reign in society, in your hearts and in your families.”    This conviction that Christ is being knowingly and definitively marginalized by a movement of secular humanism which wants to leave traditional Christian moral and doctrinal beliefs aside seems to be the essential core of his position. —RM    ***    P.S. Brothers and Sisters Canadian truck drivers,    The global coup that in these two years of psycho-pandemic farce has been carried out by the globalist elite appears most clearly if we do not limit ourselves to considering what happened in individual Nations, but broaden our gaze to what has happened everywhere.     Your protest, dear Canadian truck driver friends, joins a worldwide chorus that wants to oppose the establishment of the New World Order on the rubble of nation states, through the Great Reset desired by the World Economic Forum and by the United Nations under the name of Agenda 2030.    And we know that many heads of government have participated in Klaus Schwab’s School for Young Leaders – the so-called Global Leaders for Tomorrow – beginning with Justin Trudeau and Emmanuel Macron, Jacinta Ardern and Boris Johnson, and before that Angela Merkel, Nicolas Sarkozy and Tony Blair.     It would seem that Canada is – along with Australia, Italy, Austria and France – one of the nations most infiltrated by the globalists. And in this infernal project we must not only consider the psycho-pandemic farce, but also the attack on traditions and Christian identity – indeed, more precisely the Catholic identity – of these countries.     You understood this instinctively, and your yearning for freedom was shown in all its coordinated harmony, moving towards the capital Ottawa.     Dear truck drivers, you are facing great difficulties, not only because you give up your work to demonstrate, but also because of the adverse weather conditions, long nights in the cold, and attempts to be cleared away that you face.    But along with these difficulties you have also experienced the closeness of many of your fellow citizens, who like you have understood the looming threat and want to support you in protesting against the regime.    Allow me also to express to you my support and my spiritual closeness, to which I join the prayer that your event may be crowned with success and may also extend to other countries.     In these days we see the masks of tyrants from all over the world fall, and unfortunately we also see so much conformism, so much fearfulness, so much cowardice in people who up until yesterday we regarded as friends, even among our family members.    Yet, precisely because of this extreme situation, we discover with amazement gestures of humanity made by strangers, signs of solidarity and brotherhood on the part of those who feel close to us in the common battle.    We discover so much generosity and so much desire to shake us from this stupor.    We discover that we are no longer willing to passively suffer the destruction of our world imposed by a cabal of unscrupulous criminals, thirsty for power and money.     In this relentless attack on the traditional world, not only your way of life and your identity have been affected, but also your possessions, your activities, and your work.     This is the Great Reset, this is the future promised by slogans like Build Back Better, this is the future of billions of people being controlled in their every move, in all their transactions, in every purchase, every bureaucratic practice, every activity.     Automatons without souls or wills, deprived of their identity, reduced to having a universal income that allows them to survive, to buy only what others have already decided to put up for sale, transformed by a gene serum into people who are chronically ill.     Today more than ever it is essential that you realize that it is no longer possible to passively assist: it is necessary to take a position, to fight for freedom, to demand respect for natural freedoms.    But even more, dear Canadian brothers, it is necessary to understand that this dystopia serves to establish the dictatorship of the New World Order and totally erase every trace of Our Lord Jesus Christ from society, from history, and from the traditions of peoples.     Demonstrate for your rights, Canadian friends: but may these rights not be limited to a simple claim to the freedom to enter supermarkets or not to be vaccinated: may it also be a proud and courageous claim to your sacrosanct right to be free men.    But your demonstration should be one of true freedom, reminding you that it is the Truth – that is, Our Lord Jesus Christ – who alone can guarantee you freedom: the truth will make you free.    Let us pray that Christ will return to reign in society, in your hearts and in your families.    Take up the spiritual weapon of the Holy Rosary, and pray to the Blessed Virgin, Sainte Ann, Saint George and the Holy Canadian Martyrs to protect your homeland.    I would like to conclude my appeal by asking you to pray with me, with the words that Our Lord has taught us: may they be the seal of this awakening, of this national liberation. Let us all pray it together, out loud, so that our prayer may rise to Heaven, but also so that it may resound powerfully in these squares, in these streets, all the way to the palaces of the powerful:    Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil. Amen.    + Carlo Maria Viganò, Archbishop

Excerpts from Peter Kwasniewski’s book From Benedict’s Peace to Francis’s War (link)    From Benedict’s Peace to Francis’s War looks at the new suppression of liturgical tradition from many perspectives    By Christina Deardurff
Author, educator, musician and liturgy scholar Peter Kwasniewski, an American, is not one to pull punches. Nor does From Benedict’s Peace to Francis’s War, his new book of essays reacting to Pope Francis’s 2021 motu proprio Traditionis Custodes.
Here follow excerpts from Dr. Kwasniewski’s book, which contains essays from many different scholars and writers:    “The crudest form of clericalism”        The reason for a Church government (as leaders, rather than sacrificial priests) is found in the community of faithful for which such government exists. Government exists per se for the protection of society and its way of life, so that society may achieve the ends for which human communities are formed; government is not the creator of society.     So too, the pope and bishops are mandated to guard and pass on the tradition that has been handed down to them (2 Thess. 2:15), and are not to repudiate or abrogate it, or concoct their own novel version.     The Church’s tradition, both belief and practice, is not theirs, with which they may do as they wish. The Church’s tradition belongs to the whole faithful.     Of this tradition, the bishops (including the pope) are the guardians and servants.     They can never be the creators nor the owners of the Church’s doctrine, practice or liturgical life, but are charged with protecting and promulgating the common religious inheritance of the whole faithful.     For popes and bishops to behave as if the Church’s tradition is their belonging, with which they may do as they please, with the rest of the faithful just having to accept it, marks the crudest form of clericalism.    —Sebastian Morello, “Revolution and Repudiation: Governance Gone Awry”     “Whoever obeys in these conditions disobeys God”    Obedience — and this is an error that finds its deepest roots even in the pre-conciliar Church, it must be said — is not an end. It is a means of sanctification.     Therefore, it is not an absolute value, but rather an instrumental one. It is a positive value, very positive, if it is ordered towards God.     But if one obeys Satan, or his servants, or error, or apostasy, then obedience is no longer a good, but rather a deliberate participation in evil.    Exactly like peace. Peace — the divinity of today’s subversion — is not an end, but rather an instrument of the good and the just, if it is aimed at creating a good and just society. If it is ordered towards creating or favoring a society that is Satanic, malignant, erroneous, and subversive, then “peace” becomes the instrument of hell.    We must be “pleasing not to men, but to God, who tests our hearts” (1 Thess 2:4).     Exactly! Therefore, whoever obeys men while being aware of facilitating evil and obstructing the Good, whoever they may be — including the ecclesiastical hierarchy, including the pope — in reality becomes an accomplice of evil, of lies, and of error.     Whoever obeys in these conditions disobeys God. “Because no slave is greater than his master” (Mt 10:24)… [T]he first concern ought to be to always follow and defend the Truth, not the cloying, obsequious, and scrupulous groveling which is the spoiled fruit of a misunderstood Tridentinism.    —Massimo Viglione, “They Will Throw You Out of the Synagogues”         “Dividing Catholics at the deepest possible level”    For a religion predicated on tradition, the suppression of tradition makes no sense unless the goal is to change that religion fundamentally.     By “unity,” the pope means universal acceptance of that project.     He is demanding that all Catholics view uncritically changes that have obviously weakened the faith.     If they don’t, they are “divisive.”     The pope, of course, embodies the very division that he claims to deplore.     He is dividing Catholics at the deepest possible level — from Catholic tradition itself.     A “unity” rooted in heterodoxy is a sham.     As the modernist Church stumbles from scandal to scandal, he dares to hold it up as the model of Catholicism to which all must aspire.     His latest act of ecclesiastical tyranny is nothing more than an attempt to extract from the most faithful Catholics a pledge of allegiance to that crumbling Church.     The spectacle of a pope disloyal to Catholic tradition issuing loyalty litmus tests is an outrageous one.     By disregarding the authority of past popes, Francis erases his own.     He is not solving crises but creating them so that his modernist revolution can be fulfilled.     In the past, orthodox Catholics defended the pope from enemies of the faith.     Now they must defend the faith from a pope who has shown himself repeatedly to be their enemy.    —George Neumayr, “The Upside-Down Church”     “Tradition stands above the Pope”    Pope Francis prohibits Masses in the old rite in parish churches; he requires priests to obtain permission to celebrate the old Mass; he even requires priests that have not yet celebrated in the old rite to obtain this permission not from their bishop, but from the Vatican; and he requires an examination of conscience of participants in the old Mass.     But Benedict’s motu proprio Summorum Pontificum reasons on a totally different level. Pope Benedict did not “allow” the “old Mass,” and he granted no privilege to celebrate it.     In a word, he did not take a disciplinary measure that a successor can retract.     What was new and surprising about Summorum Pontificum was that it declares that the celebration of the old Mass does not need any permission.     It had never been forbidden because it never could be forbidden.     One could conclude that here we find a fixed, insuperable limit to the authority of a pope.     Tradition stands above the pope.     The old Mass, rooted deep in the first Christian millennium, is as a matter of principle beyond the pope’s authority to prohibit.     Many provisions of Pope Benedict’s motu proprio can be set aside or modified, but this magisterial decision cannot be so easily done away with.     Pope Francis does not attempt to do so — he ignores it. `It still stands after July 16, 2021, recognizing the authority of tradition that every priest has the moral right to celebrate the never forbidden old rite.    —Martin Mosebach, “Mass and Memory”    “The ancient Mass will be able to reach more and more people”    The ancient Mass is not theologically inert.     It exerts a centripetal force on the Catholics attending it, drawing them back to the center of orthodoxy.     Catholics attending it reveal to researchers that they accept the hard teachings, on divorce and sexuality, as well as on the Real Presence, to far greater extent than do those who attend the reformed Mass.     Those attached to the Old Mass often experience this, in themselves and in others.     This Mass has the power to draw in nonbelievers and the lapsed, as well as to inspire the fervent.     In a time when the moral authority of the Church is at a low ebb, and people will not accept the truth of things just because the Pope or Bishops say so, it is a valuable spiritual means of drawing people into the truths entrusted to the Church by Christ….    The movement for the Traditional Mass will bounce back    .     Things will not be the same again, however, because after such a series of policy reversals papal prestige will be seriously weakened.     In the future, the fate of the New and Old Masses will not be determined by the fancies of the reigning Pope, but on the basis of their pastoral and theological merits, worked out in practice, locally.    This may be a bit chaotic, but the ancient Mass will be able to reach more and more people…. We will see its power to draw people in, not to a private experience which they happen to prefer, but to the center of the Church’s spirituality and teaching.    —Joseph Shaw, “Is the Missal of Paul VI the Unum Necessarium (“The one thing needful”)?”

LifeSiteNews reported that Justin Trudeau and his media are lying about the about the “reality” of the Freedom Convoy peaceful protests:

“Trudeau is claiming hate and violence from Freedom Convoy protestors, to the point he just declared a State of Emergency in Ottawa, the reality is far from it. Watch as LifeSite’s John-Henry Westen and Canadian native brings you special coverage from the center of this weekend’s peaceful protests on Ottawa’s Parliament Hill” [https://www.lifesitenews.com/video/massive-yet-peaceful-crowds-in-ottawa-supporting-truckers-ottawa-declares-state-of-emergency/]The Freedom Trucker Convoy protesters are calling for Canada to allow such freedoms in their country as are allowed in Japan which doesn’t believe in forced injections and discrimination. – The Catholic Monitor

Time Magazine appears unwittingly to have explained why the liberal Covid government-media complex is a joke that keeps lying by showing how “Scientists can now explain why lying begets more lying — it has to do with how the brain reacts to fibs”:

Once a liar, always a liar, the old saying goes. Turns out there’s some scientific truth to that: researchers have tracked down how the brain makes lying easier as the untruths build up, providing some biological evidence for why small lies often balloon into ever larger ones.

In a study published in Nature Neuroscience, Tali Sharot from the department of experimental psychology at University College London and her colleagues devised a clever study to test people’s dishonest tendencies while scanning their brains in an fMRI machine…

…  “Part of the emotional arousal we see when people lie is because of the conflict between how people see themselves and their actions,” Sharot said during a briefing discussing the results. “So I lie for self-benefit, but at the same time it doesn’t fit the way I want to view myself, which is as an honest person. It’s possible that we learn from the arousal signal…with less emotional arousal, perhaps I’m less likely to see the act as incongruent with my own self perception.”

The researchers were even able to map out how each lie led to less amygdala activation and found that the decrease could predict how much the person’s dishonesty would escalate in the next trial. Biology seems to back up the warnings parents give to their kids: that one lie just leads to another.[https://time.com/4540707/lying-lies-brain/]

The editor-at-large of The Epoch Times, Roger Simon, illustrated that the lying “canned propaganda” media has become a joke in the article “Not Just CNN: Mainstream Media Is on the Ropes”:

Let’s take a tour d’horizon, but first… CNN.

A widely discussed article by media critic Joe Concha concludes:

“The collapse of CNN is now complete: 9 out of 10 viewers, gone. Its top-rated anchor, Chris Cuomo, gone. Its network president, gone. Its integrity in shambles.

“Oh, and new management coming in that is signaling big-time changes … changes that may bring CNN back to the proud network it once was before [network President] Jeff Zucker destroyed it.”

[…]

Actually, it doesn’t matter who replaces management at CNN because the real ownership hasn’t changed—WarnerMedia and, above that group, AT&T.

And above AT&T, as with the other two giant corporations who control the vast majority of the mainstream media landscape, The Walt Disney Co. and Comcast, their true capo di tutti capi is China—because the communist-controlled nation is the one whose mammoth audience they crave.

That’s the bad news, but the good news is those same corporations are increasingly behind the times.

You are here, reading this, not listening to their canned propaganda.

And not just here, of course. You are reading blogs, alternative media, and listening to podcasts. Who has more influence these days, The New York Times or Joe Rogan? Well, it’s a toss-up, and that’s just one guy.

You are also surfing the internet for other information, making up your own mind. The possibilities for gaining that information are growing in number and in strength by the day.

What intelligent person watches the traditional evening network news anymore? Who believes that the aforementioned NY Times is the “newspaper of record”? That’s basically a joke now to vast numbers of people…

… Chairman Mao was undoubtedly lying (and creating mayhem) when he said, “Let a hundred flowers bloom,” but the thought being expressed was correct. If I were to write my own Little Red Book today, I would say in terms of news and a lot of things: Learn from the Canadian truckers! (In other words, do it on your own.)

Yes, it’s a bit self-serving, but as a subscriber or even a reader of The Epoch Times, you are participating in this ongoing media revolution that’s truly picking up steam after more than a decade.

I think back now to the days when we started Pajamas Media (2004) and how we were accused of being “amateurs in our pajamas” by a CBS executive, for daring to question their anchor Dan Rather’s lies about George W. Bush’s National Guard papers. (We couldn’t have been more correct and Rather was shortly gone.)

In the parlance of another day, “we’ve come a long way, baby.”

Pretty soon, we may have a different problem. What happens when you become “the man”? Let’s hope we handle it better. We should. [https://www.theepochtimes.com/not-just-cnn-mainstream-media-is-on-the-ropes_4264496.html?utm_source=Morningbrief&utm_campaign=mb-2022-02-09&utm_medium=email&est=kOe3LLy45ALP2ObuPH8xT78r%2FsDzIRh9VnBB3Atb9qK%2BgNTVWcNtuRd8Gbs1]

Pray an Our Father now for reparation for the sins committed because of Francis’s Amoris Laetitia.

Pray an Our Father now for the restoration of the Church as well as the Triumph of the Kingdom of the Sacred Heart and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Stop for a moment of silence, ask Jesus Christ what He wants you to do now and next. In this silence remember God, Father, Son and Holy Ghost – Three Divine Persons yet One God, has an ordered universe where you can know truth and falsehood as well as never forget that He wants you to have eternal happiness with Him as his son or daughter by grace. Make this a practice. By doing this you are doing more good than reading anything here or anywhere else on the Internet.

Francis Notes:

– Doctor of the Church St. Francis de Sales totally confirmed beyond any doubt the possibility of a heretical pope and what must be done by the Church in such a situation:

“[T]he Pope… WHEN he is EXPLICITLY a heretic, he falls ipso facto from his dignity and out of the Church, and the Church MUST either deprive him, or, as some say, declare him deprived, of his Apostolic See.”
(The Catholic Controversy, by St. Francis de Sales, Pages 305-306)

Saint Robert Bellarmine, also, said “the Pope heretic is not deposed ipso facto, but must be declared deposed by the Church.”

Sedevacantists hold in general that there have been no true popes since Pius XII. They accept the error of Luther that there is no authority or unity in the Church except that which is given the individual by the virtue of Faith. Thus, holding themselves as purer than all others, after the manner of Jansenists, they judge nearly everyone a heretic and thus outside of the Church. Debbie – that is a really good question, the nut of the Sede position; a question we must all answer with fear and trembling – the consequences are astounding no matter which side you come down on. It is a question we talk about among members of our family and friends, so I am well familiar with the topic, in general.

To make the claim that the Seat is vacant requires some level of certainty that a false belief is held and pertinaciously, persistently being advanced. It is one thing to be confident a Papal pronouncement is not in accord with the Magisterium and to feel confident thereby in ignoring it. It is another to say that the Pope is thereby outside the Faith and deprived of his Office.

I see no evidence that Popes JP II or Benedict XVI promulgated heresy in their role as guardian of the Magisterium. Assisi was a dangerous moment, but not pertinacious or persistent in subsequent acts and official pronouncements. They must be inextricably bound to the heresy to feel confident in rendering judgement as a Layman the Pope is deprived.

The important distinction in this debate is this: Bergoglio is not Pope, so it is not a question if depriving him of the Office. The current question is whether we must accept the pertinacious, persistent error imposed upon us of a Pope who either does not possess the Papal Munus – or – whether more than one Pope can possess the Papal Munus together. THAT heresy is staring us in the face every day. That heresy is based on a resignation statement that is official and upon which the Cornerstone of the Church rests. It is core and existential and clearly defined. And it persistently insisted upon by the actors in question.

So I am not a Sede because the Seat is not vacant. No proof has ever been offered that a valid Pope has persistently, pertinaciously advanced any heresy, such as those I listed above. Benedict XVI might, in the current circumstance, but has not been probed and questioned, so we don’t know for certain the whys and wherefores to declare heretical error. There may be eminently reasonable reasons, given present dangers, why he did what he did.

And for Bergoglio – he is a child playing in a sandbox that does not belong to him. His errors are not Papal errors and do not fit into the question you pose, above. Antipopes always do, I imagine, precisely what this one does.

I feel confident in declaring on my own authority according to the quantifiable record that Benedict retains his Munus and is Pope.

I feel equally confident that no other validly elected Pope has embraced heresy quantifiable, pertinaciously and persistently in such a way that a declaration should and could be made that he has lost the Faith and thus his Office.

Debbie – Another way to put it, more simply, is to define when precisely the Sede became Vacante, and through what means.

I see what happened at Assisi – that was bad. Did JP II leave the Church and his Office at the conclusion of that day?

Arbp LeFebvre chose to consecrate his Bishops in direct response to Assisi, seeing thereby the existential threat to the Church in the long term. He was willing to risk excommunication to ensure the survival of his Order, guardians of Tradition. As he put it in a sermon, shortly thereafter (1978): “If one day they shall excommunicate us because we remain faithful to these theses, we shall consider ourselves excommunicated by Freemasonry.”

That is a loaded prepositional “If”. But by it he implies the Pope is treading on thin theological ice. And since he was, I suppose his official position is they were. And I don’t disagree.

d) new “saints”

Neofito:

And what is your solution to this? Have you declared the Seat vacant? At what specific point in time, which Pope ended the line? You mention JPII – what specifically separated JPII from his seat and excommunicated him to hell forever? You also mention Benedict – was he validly elected Pope or were all Conclaves rendered invalid at some prior point such that all subsequent “Popes” were in reality *anti*Popes?

Do you still go to Mass? Where? Do they have a Pope in your Church? Bishops? If you have Priests, who Ordains them? Is the Apostolic line ended? Under what Apostolic line of authority are Sacraments administered (if any)? What is the nature of your Church? Because my experience is that Sedes do not have Church or Sacraments … the Roman Catholic Church is ended indefinitely.

I don’t disagree things are bad. I am not prepared to render personal judgement of heresy against a validly elected Pope, absent evidence of official denial of Dogma – persistent, pertinacious denial of specific Dogma in official capacity. That I have not seen – in the manner in which this antipope has demonstrated (consecration of Pachamama on the High Altar of St Peter’s).

In short – I take the specific position of SSPX on these matters (ref my quote of Arbp LeFebvre, above).

BTW – Pax Christi! Christus vincit! Christus regnat! Christus imperat!

APOSTASY is not the same as heresy. APOSTASY is the total abandonment of God and His Church. This did not begin with the with the papacy of JXXIII or the Vatican II council. Those events were merely the culmination of a trajectory started by Martin Luther in his “protestant reformation” in the 14th century. We are now in the GREAT APOSTASY prophesied by the great theologians and saints throughout the history of the Church. This event was even prophesied by Jesus Christ Himself as the event that “must take place” prior to the appearance of the antichrist. So WHY is it that most who call themselves “Catholic” refuse to see this? Perhaps because they themselves got sucked into this demonic vortex called APOSTASY.

I have had many an exchange with Sedes, have even attended Sede Mass (did not receive Sacranents there); the Priest was ~ 95; there is no other after him. My experience with Sedes us that they are well meaning, extremely earnest, very well informed as a result, but … wrong in their base assumptions. And I am truly sorry for them because they are lost sheep, which we ALL risk being – hanging by a thread as we are in this tragically deformed Church under Satan’s blitzkrieg attacks.

I have carefully considered their position and reject it for the reasons you, Bugnolo, others, (myself) have stated. As Bugnolo says – they are Jansenist who run the risk of apostatizing like Skojec.

The Seat may well be vacant at some future point – but the Apostolic line remains, for now, through Benedict XVI. That is my firm belief. I converted to the RCC because I was convinced of its claim to Apostolic authority. I will do everything in my power to keep that line in sight, no matter how Satan attacks, encourages diversions from and clouds the true way.

Anonymous: I attend Mass with apostolic succession in which every required Dogma is believed, affirmed, taught, advanced. These Priests see themselves (their words) as Catholic EMTs, helping those who are spiritually sick to return to the Faith; to point out the dangers and help solve the problems afflicting Holy Mother Church.

This statement is almost verbatim what my Priest said to the Faithful in his Homily about the purpose of SSPX. They are nothing more than spiritual EMTs. They are consumed in their Vocation with healing and restoring the spiritually sick.

I find that much more compelling than your message of hopelessness – the gravest of all sins.

There are those doing the work of remedying the apostasy *encouraged by* Satan but not yet total. The Apostolic Line remains. The Holy Sacrifice is still offered on the Altar. Holy Mother Church lives … and She needs us.

In valid Apostolic succession, there is no reason to choose between obedience to that authority vs obedience to the dogma established by the Church over centuries. If a man is validly elected to the papacy, he is given the graces by God to become the vicar of Christ on earth. When there is a divergence between papal “authority” and Traditional Church dogma, stick with the dogma.

AQUA: To make the statement that the fulfillment of prophesy (and that which was prophesied by Jesus Christ Himself) is a “message of hopelessness” demonstrates a lack of faith on your part. The message of Jesus is one that defies hopelessness. In John 14:29 Jesus said, “And now I have told you before it comes to pass: that when it shall come to pass, you may believe.” Although the SSPX may appear to uphold the dogma of the Church on the surface, the fact that they recognize the “Apostolic succession” of a man who clearly defies the Dogmas of the Church he purports to lead is in direct conflict with the laws of the Church established by Jesus Christ. It is NOT convenient and it is NOT comfortable, but threshing never is to the wheat. You MUST choose one way or the other, there is no comfortable “middle ground” on this one

The difference between me and the Sede position is:

Sede: The Apostasy is complete, total, the Apostolic line is broken and can never be retrieved, the visible Church Militant is dead, we must worship God without Sacraments as best we can, the Holy Sacrifice is ended, hope in this life is ended until the Eschaton.

Me: Heresy and Apostasy (not just Apostasy) is visible and rampant, the Apostolic line is damaged, the visible Church Militant is sick and in need of medical help, we must still worship God within the Sacraments, the Holy Sacrifice remains among us, hope in this life is the Priesthood faithful to Tradition acting as “EMTs” to the sick, suffering, dying.

Jesus said, “I will be with you unto the end of time”, and “the gates of hell will never prevail against my Church”. Jesus is NOT a liar. The Church established by Jesus Christ to teach and promote His Laws and Dogmas via His validly ordained priests still exists. As Our Lady predicted, it is currently “in eclipse” meaning it is not visible to most in the world. As in the days of the ancient Church, the authentic Church is “underground” at the present time. But it still exists in all of its glory, with all of its precepts and dogma intact. Like the “pearl of great price”, to find it, one must only LOOK for it with a sincere and humble heart. “Ask and you SHALL receive”. The only thing we lack at the present time, is a visible vicar of Christ here on earth. But this is NOT evidence that God has abandoned those members of His Church here on earth. It is only evidence that God had no further need for the corporate “organization” headquartered out to Rome, that had become overburdened with its worldly riches & pleasing the governments of the world.

All power flows from God. The governments of the world receive their power from God, not the other way around. The “beheading” of the Church (the usurpation of the papacy by the enemies of Christ) was merely the manifestation of the natural trajectory stemming from events that began back in the 14th century with Luther’s Protestant Reformation. The precursor to this event can be witnessed when Christ appeared to the King of France and petitioned the king to consecrate France to the His Sacred Heart. When this request was willfully ignored by the king(s), after 100 years, the government of France was infiltrated by her enemies, and the king (Louis XVI) was beheaded. This was NOT a coincidence, but a precursor sign that was given by an all merciful God to those in His Church.

To remain inside the corporate organization calling itself “the Catholic Church” headquartered in Rome is like refusing to leave a ship that is sinking. And it is sinking under the weight of its own sin.

AQUA:
By my comment that one must choose to go one way or the other, I mean that one must choose to align himself either with God’s Law revealed to His Church in its DOGMA, or he can choose to align himself with an organization that has retained all of the physical appearances of a church including a its traditional “structures” (both physical buildings and ecclesiastical hierarchy)but is gutted of all divinely inspired dogma.

There is NO ROOM for compromise in this choice. Just as it was impossible for the early Christians to believe in the TRUTH of Jesus Christ and His Resurrection, and yet still attend their former way of worship in the Temple, so too is it in our day. One CAN NOT claim to be a faithful worshiper of Jesus Christ and the Church He established and yet still recognize an apostate hierarchy (bishops as well as pope) as their authority.

This INCLUDES sects such as the SSPX, FSSP, etc. Although these sects like to portray themselves as “life boats” distanced from their “mother ship” in Rome, their willful refusal to cut the tethers to that sinking ship will eventually take them down with it. The ONLY reason those within these sects refuse to see this HAS TO BE because they are unwilling to give up the “benefits” they perceive themselves to get from this relationship.

This the post her commented on “Taylor Marshall finally admitted that “Francis teaches HERESY,” now, the question is will he do a Skojec & a Schneider Cop Out “:

Doctor of the Church St.

Taylor Marshall finally admitted that “Pope Francis teaches HERESY: Pope Pius XII condemned the heresy of Francis”:

Pope Francis on Feb 2 2022, taught, “that in Christ no one can ever truly separate us from those we love because the bond is an existential bond, a strong bond that is in our very nature…who have denied the faith, who are apostates.” Pope Pius XII taught the exact opposite when he wrote of those: “who have not been so unfortunate as to separate themselves from the unity of the Body, or been excluded by legitimate authority for grave faults committed….as does schism or heresy or apostasy.” Pope Francis is condemned by Pope Pius XII. Only one can be right on this matter. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rzxvFNb59Ug]

Now, the question is will he do a Steve Skojec and a Bishop Athanasius Schneider cop out:

In 2019, One Peter Five’s then publisher Steve Skojec apparently claimed a manifest heretical pope can not as Doctor of the Church St. Francis de Sales says be “deprived” of “the Apostlic See” by the Church. Skojec appears to claim Francis’s heretical papacy can’t be judged by the Church in this present time in history.

One of the great heroes in the present crisis Latin language expert Br. Alexis Bugnolo recently stated that those with teachings like Skojec “on what happens to heretics” without mentioning his name including “Cardinals and Bishop” may be in “heresy”:

“We are left with repeated examples that defy explanation. Those Cardinals and Bishop who have the reputations for being the most conservative, who often speak in the defense of many truths, openly reject catholic teaching on what happens to heretics. To do such a thing is itself a heresy, because it is asserting that entire dogmatic and canonical tradition of the Church on heresy is not true.”

“Heretics will never out heretics. I just hope that this principle is not verified in the case of the men of whom we speak, and that they are only cowards, not heretics.”

Br. Bugnolo stated that in the comment section of the Catholic Monitor to this article:

Why is Schneider a Apologist of Francis’s “Apostasy” by Defending the Manifest Heretical Papacy of Francis against a Pope, Two Doctors of the Church and “all the ancient Fathers”?

Bishop Athanasius Schneider, in his recent interview with Michael Matt on Remnant Video called “Defend & Resist,” said about the Francis Vatican Pachamama idolatry:

“[T]he apostasy… even Pope Francis, unfortunately, defends.”

Doctor of the Church St. Robert Bellarmine said:

“The manifest heretical pope ceases per se to be pope… This is the opinion of all the ancient Fathers.”

Bishop Schneider who admits that Francis “defends” the “apostasy” or heresy of idolatry, unfortunately, claims a manifest heretical pope can not as Doctor of the Church St. Francis de Sales says be “deprived” of “the Apostlic See” by the Church. Schneider by claiming Francis’s heretical papacy can’t be judged by the Church is implicitly defending the Francis “apostasy” or heresy of idolatry.

Is Schneider’s opinion true or false?

Here is the answer from a POPE to Schneider’s opinion and all the Francis apologists who claim that a heretical pope can’t be judged by the Church:

Pope Innocent III (1198-1216) in “Si Papa”:

“‘Let no mortal being have the audacity to reprimand a Pope on account of faults, for he whose duty it is to judge all men cannot be judged by anybody, unless he should be called to the task of having deviated from the faith. (Si Papa)'”

“Pope Innocent III: ‘For me the faith is so necessary that, whereas for other sins my only judge is God, for the slightest sin in the matter of the faith I could be judged by the Church.’ (propter solum peccatum quod in fide commititur possem ab Ecclesia judican)”
(The Remnant, “Answering a Sedevacantist Critic,” March 18, 2015)

Moreover, the important theologian Dominique Bouix in, Tractatus de papa, ubi et de concilio oecumenico, vol. II , pars IIIa, cap. iii, p. 653ff, responded to Schneider’s opinion:

It is objected 1°. — This opinion stands contrary to the more common and ancient opinion of the doctors of the school.

It is responded: That is true. But in questions not yet defined and permitted to the free disputation of the schools, it can happen that a more recent and less common opinion is true and ought at length to be recognized as such.

It is objected 2°. — Moreover, it stands contrary to the authority of Innocent III, whose words these are in the third sermon for the anniversary of his consecration: Faith is so necessary to me, that, while I have God for my judge in other sins, I am able to be judged by the Church on account of the sin which is committed against faith (see Sylvius, In IIamIIæ S. Thomæ, tom. III, q. xxxix, art. 3, concl. 2).

It is responded: Indeed, in that text Innocent III supposes that the Roman Pontiff can, as a private person, fall into heresy. But Innocent III spoke thus, following the opinion which was more accepted in his time; nor did he pronounce it as the Pontiff defining the faith; whence it can be said that in this, he erred. But this error of his is not heresy, because this proposition, the Pope cannot become a heretic even privately, even if it be true, is yet not an evident or defined ARTICLE OF FAITH. Therefore the cited dictum of Innocent III indeed favors the opinion which holds that the Pope can become a heretic privately; yet it does not have peremptory force.

It is objected 3°. — The canon Si papa (from the acta of Boniface of Mainz, in Gratian, dist. XL, c. vi) affirms that the Pope is exempt from the jurisdiction of his inferiors, with this exception: Unless he be discovered to have deviated from the faith. And in a similar document of the fifth council under Pope Symmachus it is read: Unless he should deviate from the right faith. Therefore, even in remote antiquity the doctrine held sway undoubted, that the Pope could become a heretic[https://lumenscholasticum.wordpress.com/2019/05/05/bouix-on-the-pope-heretic/]

Finally, one of the greatest modern theologian Fr. Ioachim Ioachim whom “Msgr. Clifford Fenton in a March 1953 article of the American Ecclesiastical Review [said] ‘holds very much the same position in the theological world of the mid-twentieth century that Cardinal Billot occupied in that of fifty years ago'” appears to disagree with Schneider’s opinion. In Salaverri’s De Ecclesia Christi, it says:

1056. The doctrine of the Church. The first part is implicitly defined in the Council of Florence’s decree for the Jacobites: D 714. But concerning heretics and apostates, we deduce our teaching also from the formula of faith “Clemens Trinitas”, from can. 23 of the Second Lateran Council, and from the Bull Ineffabilis Deus of Pius IX: D 18 367 1641.

The second part, in which we hold that those excommunicated by perfect excommunication, which the Supreme Pontiff can determine, are separated from the body of the Church, is taught as Catholic doctrine by Pius XII in the encyclical Mystici corporis: AAS 35 (1943) 202ff.
1057. This whole thesis of ours is clearly taught by Pius XII and the Catechism of the Council of Trent.[16]

Pius XII writes: “But in truth, only those are to be numbered amongst the members of the Church who have received the laver of regeneration and profess the true faith, who have not miserably separated themselves from the community of the Church or through most grave crimes been separated by the legitimate authority…For this reason, those who are divided from one another in faith or government are unable to live in the one Body of this sort and in its divine Spirit…Nor should it be thought that the Body of the Church, because it is insigned with the name of Christ, consists, even in this time of terrestrial pilgrimage, only of members outstanding in sanctity, or that it is constituted only of the company of those who are predestined by God to sempiternal felicity…Indeed not every crime, even if a grave wickedness, is of such kind that of its very nature it separates man from the Body of the Church—as do schism, heresy, or apostasy.”

In the Catechism of the Council of Trent we read:

“Only three sorts of men are excluded from the Church: firstly, infidels, then heretics and schismatics, and finally excommunicates: pagans indeed, because they have never been in the Church, nor ever known it, nor been made partakers of any Sacrament in the society of the Christian people; heretics and schismatics, because they have revolted from the Church, for they no more pertain to the Church, than do deserters to the army from which they have defected: yet it must not be denied that they are in the power of the Church, as ones who may be called to judgment by her, punished, and condemned by anathema. Finally also excommunicates, because by the judgment of the Church have they been excluded from her, and do not belong to her communion until they come to their senses. But concerning other men, though they be wicked and criminal, it is not to be doubted that they yet persevere in the Church.”

1058. Dogmatic value. The first part, concerning heretics, apostates, and schismatics, is implicitly defined, particularly in the Council of Florence: D 714. The second part, on excommunicates by perfect excommunication, is Catholic doctrine, especially from the words of the encyclical of Pius XII, Mystici corporis Christi, recently cited by us above.

1059. The first part is proved. Heretics, apostates, and schismatics are not members of the Church…

… For the minor. That formal and manifest heretics, apostates, and schismatics formally and manifestly have severed the essential social bond of the Church’s faith or government, is clear from the notions themselves. Thus they are not of the Church, which is the congregation of the faithful, because schismatics are not congregated and heretics are not faithful.

1060. The same doctrine is confirmed by the authority of testimonies of the holy Fathers.

a) On heretics. Tertullian: “If they are heretics, they cannot be Christians” (R 298). St. Hilary: “I am a Catholic; I do not wish to be a heretic. I am a Christian, not an Arian.” St. Jerome: “Heretics pass judgment upon themselves, receding from the Church of their own will.” St. Augustine: “Sever yourselves from the members of the Church, sever yourselves from its Body. But what still might I say, in order that they might segregate themselves from the Church, since they have already done this? For they are heretics; they are already without.” The controversy on the rebaptizing of heretics, which was agitated thence from the middle of the third century, supposed as recognized by all that heretics are outside of the Church.[17]

b) On schismatics. Cyprian: “But what pertains to the person of Novatian…you know that we in the first place ought not to be inquisitive of what he taught, since he taught from without. Whosoever he is and of whatever condition, he is not a Christian who is not in the Church of Christ…he who neither held fast to fraternal charity nor ecclesiastical unity, has lost even that which he was previously.” St. Jerome: “Between heresy and schism, we think there to be this difference, that heresy imports perverse dogma; schism, on account of episcopal dissension, separates from the Church…moreover, no schism does not fabricate for itself a heresy, so that it might seem to have receded from the Church rightly.” St. Augustine: “Heretics and schismatics call their congregations churches. But heretics, thinking falsely about God, violate the faith itself; but schismatics burst free of fraternal charity through hostile divisions, although they believe those things which we believe. For this reason, heretics do not belong to the Catholic Church, because she loves God, nor schismatics, because she loves the neighbor” (R 1562). St. Fulgentius: “Most firmly hold and doubt not at all, that every one baptized outside of the Catholic Church is unable to become a partaker of eternal life, if before the end of this life he has not returned and been incorporated to the Catholic Church. Most steadily and in no way doubt, that not only all pagans, but also all Jews and all heretics and schismatics, who finish this present life outside of the Catholic Church, are to enter into the eternal fire” (R 2274-5). Pelagius I: “Pollute not a mind ever Catholic by any communion of schismatics. It is clear that the Body of Christ is one, the Church is one…our Savior taught: a vine separated from the grapevine cannot be good for anything, but fire for burning…Do not think that they either are or can be called the Church. And indeed since, as we have said, the Church is one…it is clear that there is no other but that which is founded in the apostolic root.”[18]

Why is Schneider a apologist of Francis’s “apostasy” by defending the manifest heretical papacy of Francis against a pope, two Doctors of the Church and “all the ancient Fathers”?

TRUDEAU IS WRONG, DEAD WRONG!!!

Letter #28, 2022, Tuesday, February 8: Tears     I received this email today from a hermitess who does have an internet connection. She was responding to my letter of yesterday:    Thank you! I think you will appreciate a post by Mark Mallett. It is long, scroll down to the last part     I too got tears in my eyes. Then at the very end, there is a brief video of one of the truckers. I won’t spoil it for you, but it is worth every second!
God bless you and your work! I support you with my prayers.
Blessings…     Sr. Maria Susanna, hermit    Since I know Mark Mallet, a father of a large family and a very popular religious speaker and musician from Canada, I felt this was a good reason to share his latest piece with you. I took the video from the very end and placed it just below here so that you can at least see that even if you don’t have time to read the long essay.    Something very important and very human is taking place in Canada and I pray that it develops without conflict and leads to the common good in Canada and is a sign for all of us. —RM

Trudeau is Wrong, Dead Wrong (link)    By Mark Mallet    January 31, 2022    Mark Mallett is a former award-winning journalist with CTV News Edmonton and resides in Canada.    Justin Trudeau, the Prime Minister of Canada, has called one of the largest protests of its kind in the world a “hateful” group for their rally against forced injections in order to keep their livelihoods. In a speech today in which the Canadian leader had an opportunity to appeal for unity and dialogue, he flatly stated that he had no interest in going…    …anywhere near protests that have expressed hateful rhetoric and violence towards their fellow citizens. —January 31st, 2022; cbc.ca    He adds that the protests are “an insult to memory and truth”[1] and that he is “following the science.”[2] Only months before, he labelled “anti-vaxxers” as “extremists who don’t believe in science/progress and are very often misogynistic and racist.”[3] He then characterized the convoy of truckers as a “small fringe minority… who hold unacceptable views”[4] before he fled into hiding.     Here’s why Trudeau has lost the moral authority to continue to run the country…    “A small fringe minority”    According to Guinness World Records, the longest truck convoy ever recorded was 7.5 km long in Egypt in 2020. Numerous reports have come from around the country suggesting the convoy that entered Ottawa, Canada could be ten times that.[5] Moreover, tens of thousands have rallied from across the nation from every walk of life and nationality, including esteemed scientists and academics,[6] to protest against forcing an experimental gene therapy[7] into their arms. And not only Ottawa — communities across Canada held spontaneous convoys in their towns and cities. Moreover, these convoys have now sparked similar protests in countries around the world, including Australia.[8]    While Trudeau has tried to paint the protests as a “fringe” group, in truth, a study found that the most vaccine-hesitant are those with Ph.D.’s.[9] Yes, those who are experts in research and critical thinking are the ones taking a big step back from mandatory vaccination.    But maybe there’s another group who does their research as well — a group of men and women who have nothing but time on their hands to listen each day to podcasts, interviews, and those parsing the scientific data. Yes, truckers. While Trudeau and other shameless politicians have condescendingly attempted to stereotype these individuals as right-wing white supremacists,[10] in truth, the truckers are a vast group of multinational backgrounds from all religions that includes both those injected and the vaccine-free. Photos and videos also reveal a high number of female protesters (who are apparently “misogynists” as well). Of course, whenever there are mass protests, there are always a small group of individuals who latch on to promote their own sick ideologies — or who are paid brutes (though the “fact-checkers” deny it, right on cue). We watched an entire summer of this during the Black Lives Matter protests that burned down neighborhoods, promoted racism against non-blacks, and openly touted Marxist ideology — all the while politicians praised and openly supported them.[11] Yes, the same protests that Prime Minister Trudeau also bent his knee for.[12] The same Prime Minister who wore “black face” on numerous occasions.[13] The same Prime Minister who openly praised China’s dictatorship:    …having a dictatorship where you can do whatever you wanted, that I find quite interesting.” —The National PostNov. 8th, 2013     Interesting indeed, but alas, I digress. To Trudeau’s charges, lawyer Roman Baber tweeted in reply:    Disgusting & divisive tone from @JustinTrudeau. I’m an Eastern European Jew. My family suffered from hate. I don’t fear or focus on a few idiots. #ISupportTheTruckers right to peaceful protest+ability to earn living w/o taking medication. PM is spreading hate. #onpoli #cdnpolipic.twitter.com/rTpeRDoLNg. — Roman Baber (@Roman_Baber) January 31, 2022
Following the Science?    In a speech today, the Prime Minister doubled-down on the now definitively disproven trope of the mainstream media that the injections are “safe and effective.” The safety alert systems in place in many countries around the world all reveal the same disturbing pattern: an unprecedented surge in deaths and injuries post-jab.[14] Here it is in 40 seconds from one of America’s top cardiologists who has sat on numerous drug data safety boards, Dr. Peter McCullough, MD: (video at link)    In fact, Dr. McCullough is citing the low end, as a Harvard study[15] indicates massive underreporting to VAERS (Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System). VAERS Analysis,[16]Columbia University,[17] Matthew Crawford,[18]Steve Kirsch, MSc,[19] and Dr. Jessica Rose, Ph.D.[20] have all analyzed Pfizer’s clinical trial data and VAERS and determined an underreporting factor between 20 to 44.64 times, putting deaths into the hundreds of thousands.     We know that 50 percent of deaths due to the vaccine occur within two days, 80 percent within a week…. We have independent evaluations suggesting 86% [of deaths] is related to the vaccine[21] [and] is far beyond anything that is acceptable… It’s going to go down in history as the most dangerous biological-medicinal product rollout in human history. —October 26th, 2021, worldtribune.com; July 21st, 2021, Stew Peters Show, rumble.com at 17:38    While the mainstream media has denied there is anything to the tens of thousands of myocarditis adverse events around the world, especially among the young,[22] the FDA just published a link to the insert in Moderna’s injection:    Postmarketing data demonstrate increased risks of myocarditis and pericarditis, particularly within 7 days following the second dose. —January 28th, 2022 draft, pg. 1; fda.gov    The data is so damning that even the very inventor of the mRNA gene therapy technology, Dr. Robert Malone, MD, has called for the mass injection campaign to stop immediately, as have other renowned scientists such as Dr. Sucharit Bhakdi, MD, Nobel laureate Dr. Luc Montagnier, MD, and even former Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation vaccinologist, Dr. Geert Vanden Bossche, Ph.D.[23]    The fact that the injections are in clinical trials slated to end in 2023 or later means that they are, by very definition, still in the experimental stage. On that note, Dr. Wolfgang Wodarg, Ph.D.[24] and former Vice President of Pfizer, Dr. Mike Yeadon, Ph.D.,[25] have both warned that, indeed, certain batches of the “vaccines” have now been shown to be devastatingly lethal.[26] And attorney Thomas Renz, quoting three whistleblowers under penalty of purgery, has revealed Department of Defence data showing massive increases in 2021 of miscarriages, cancers, and a 1000% increase in neurological disease since the jabs were rolled out.[27]    Clinical trials are de facto voluntary. It is illegal to force an experimental drug on anyone according to the Nuremberg Code: “the voluntary consent of the human subject is absolutely essential.”[28] The Catholic Church affirms this medical ethic that has been accepted as a post-World War II standard since the experimentation of vaccines and drugs took place on the Jews in Nazi Germany. In fact, even “consent” does not justify acts that could be gravely harmful.     Research or experimentation on the human being cannot legitimate acts that are in themselves contrary to the dignity of persons and to the moral law. The subjects’ potential consent does not justify such acts. Experimentation on human beings is not morally legitimate if it exposes the subject’s life or physical and psychological integrity to disproportionate or avoidable risks. Experimentation on human beings does not conform to the dignity of the person if it takes place without the informed consent of the subject or those who legitimately speak for him. —Catechism of the Catholic Church, 2295    Hence, the Freedom Convoy that has converged in Ottawa are fully within their rights to oppose this medical tyranny from the dictatorship-admiring Trudeau. In fact, they have an obligation to oppose it, as do all of us who have a fraction of concern for individual freedom.    But the evidence against the Prime Minister and his global allies is even more damning.
Mandates: Zero Need    In order for a person to even consider taking an experimental gene therapy with unknown long-term consequences, the risks have to be weighed. World-renowned bio-statistician and epidemiologist, Prof. John Iannodis of Standford University, published a paper on the infection fatality rate of COVID-19. Here are the age-stratified statistics:    0-19: .0027% (or a survival rate of 99.9973%)    20-29 .014% (or a survival rate of 99.986%)    30-39 .031% (or a survival rate of 99.969%)    40-49 .082% (or a survival rate of 99.918%)    50-59 .27% (or a survival rate of 99.73%)    60-69 .59% (or a survival rate of 99.31%) (Source: medrxiv.org)    …far lower than originally feared and no different to severe flu. —Dr. Eshani M King, November 13th, 2020; bmj.com    Case in point: U.K. data shows that between February and December of 2020, there was one death from COVID-19 of those under 19 years of age.[29] The notion that a survival rate over 99% for every age category constitutes a “medical emergency” with a heavy-handed response is absurd. Moreover, the chickens are coming home to roost on the overreporting of COVID deaths and the failure to distinguish between those who died with COVID and those who died from COVID. For example, U.K. data released in response to a Freedom of Information Act request reveals that the number of deaths between January 2020 and the end of September 2021 in England and Wales, where COVID-19 was the sole cause of death, was just 17,371 — not 137,133 as reported.[30]    Second, the data showing the efficacy of early treatments is overwhelming, therefore nullifying the need for these experimental injections, which have proven neither “safe” nor “effective.” The most recent study has found that “strictly regular use of ivermectin as prophylaxis for COVID-19 leads to a 90% reduction in COVID-19 mortality rate.”[31] This echoes meta-analyses based on 18 randomized controlled treatment trials of Ivermectin in COVID-19 have found “large, statistically significant reductions in mortality, time to clinical recovery, and time to viral clearance. Furthermore, results from numerous controlled prophylaxis trials report significantly reduced risks of contracting COVID-19 with the regular use of Ivermectin.”[32] In fact, one of that study’s authors testified before a US Senate Homeland Security Committee hearing:    Mountains of data have emerged from many centers and countries around the world, showing the miraculous effectiveness of Ivermectin. It basically obliterates transmission of this virus. If you take it, you will not get sick. —Dr. Pierre Kory, M.D., December 8th, 2020; cnsnews.com    The Nobel Prize nominee Dr. Vladimir Zelenko, MD, an advisor to several governments and published in top peer-reviewed journals, reports a “99% survival of high-risk Covid-19 patients” by placing them on similar protocols utilizing the “Nobel prize-honoured” Ivermectin,[33] hydroxychloroquine or Quercetin to deliver zinc to cells to combat the viral proteins.[34] In his address to the UK government, Dr. Sucharit declares:    The truth is there are excellent medicines: safe, efficacious, cheap — that, as Dr. Peter McCullough has been saying for months now, will save the lives of 75% of the elderly with pre-existing disease, and that reduces the lethality of this virus to below the flu. —Oracle films; :01 mark; rumble.com    375 studies of hydroxychloroquine, 280 peer-reviewed, show positive results in early treatment.[35] And currently, 77 studies show the efficacy of Ivermectin.[36] A meta-analysis published in the July-August 2021 issue of the American Journal of Therapeutics, which included 24 randomized controlled trials with a total of 3,406 participants, reported reductions in death ranging between 79% and 91%.[37]
Mandates: Zero Evidence    However, the argument from pro-vaccine advocates is that the “unvaccinated” are the ones burdening the hospital system. But this, too, is patently false for three reasons. The first is that the way “vaccinated” has been defined has become a moving goalpost. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) defined “fully vaccinated” after “2 weeks.” However, this has hidden the true damage from the injections. Alberta, Canada’s data, for example, shows almost half of all COVID hospitalizations of the newly vaccinated occurred within 14 days and almost 56% of deaths of the newly vaccinated occurred within 14 days, and almost 90% within 45 days.[38]     The second reason why the demonization of the “unvaccinated” is untrue is that hospitals are often running near capacity in their ICU’s. As several Canadian and American nurses and doctors have relayed, this is the way the hospitals are consistently run (or rather mismanaged?).[39]    But the third and main reason is that the “vaccinated” are being hospitalized in scores:    • In Ontario, Canada, 71% of those hospitalized with COVID-19 are partially or fully vaccinated.[40]    • Among patients hospitalized for the virus whose vaccination history was reported in Australia, 82 percent had received two doses – or 87 percent without taking into account kids ineligible for vaccination — while double-vaccinated were a stunning 98 percent of cases.[41]    • In Israel, which has one of the highest injection rates in the world — Dr. Kobi Haviv, the medical director of Herzog hospital, reported “85-90 percent of the patients hospitalized here are patients that were fully vaccinated.”[42] On February 3rd, 2022, Prof. Yaakov Jerris, director of Ichilov Hospital’s coronavirus ward told Channel 13 News: “Right now, most of our severe cases are vaccinated. They had at least three injections. Between seventy and eighty percent of the serious cases are vaccinated. So, the vaccine has no significance regarding severe illness, which is why just twenty to twenty-five percent of our patients are unvaccinated.”[43]    • Dr. Kristiaan Dekkers, a Chief Medical Officer in Antwerp, Belgium reported that all the patients in his ICU were vaccinated.[44]    • Dr. McCullough, looking at a U.K. study, noted that 81.1% of the deaths there are among the “fully-vaccinated”.[45]    • Dr. Hervé Seligmann and engineer Haim Yativ of the Aix-Marseille University Faculty of Medicine Emerging Infectious and Tropical Diseases Unit in France studied three sources of data and found, among other issues, that, “Compared to other years, mortality [from the “vaccines”] is 40 times higher.”[46] Science magazine reports a study that found “the risk of developing symptomatic COVID-19 was 27 times higher among the vaccinated, and the risk of hospitalization eight times higher.”[47] The study also found that, while vaccinated persons who also had natural infection did appear to have additional protection against the Delta variant, the vaccinated were still at a greater risk for COVID-19-related hospitalizations compared to those without the vaccine, but who were previously infected. Vaccinees who hadn’t had a natural infection also had a 5.96-fold increased risk for breakthrough infection and a 7.13-fold increased risk for symptomatic disease.[48]    • Duke University had an apparent “outbreak” on their campus, despite “98%” being vaccinated.[49]    • U.S. Department of Defense data shows that “71% of new cases are in the fully vaxxed and 60% of hospitalizations are in the fully vaxxed.”[50]    And now, over 145 studies show that natural immunity is far superior to that from the waning gene therapies and that a large part of the population already has immunity, therefore nullifying their need for these injections.[51]    You can’t beat natural immunity. You can’t vaccinate on top of it and make it better. —Dr. Peter McCullough, March 10th, 2021; from the documentary Following the Science?
The Elephant in the living room    Perhaps the most blatant absurdity of all is the fact that the “vaccinated” can still transmit the virus, thereby rendering vaccine passports and mandates utterly moot. As of this writing, some 42 studies now show that “the vaccinated [are] spreading Covid as much or more than the unvaccinated.”[52] CDC Director Rochelle Walensky told CNN that the injections simply no longer “prevent transmission”.[53] They never did, as Dr. Anthony Fauci admitted in October of 2020.[54] Of course, this has not been made explicit in the media. Quite the opposite. It’s exactly these kind of outright falsehoods behind the entire “safe and effective” mantra (even that these gene therapies are “vaccines”) that have been picked off by millions around the world, including truckers — and they’re calling a spade a spade. For instance, the CDC suddenly changed their definition of vaccination on September, 2021 from: it will “provide immunity” to now: “produce protection.”[55] This isn’t moving the goalposts; it’s taking them down altogether. Truckers and those protesting around the globe have had enough of the pseudo-science and outright lies. It’s as if the heads of these health organizations are unaware that the Internet exists and that most people are literate.    So it’s a simple fact that the injections do not, and never did prevent transmission.    If these vaccines don’t prevent transmission at all, achieving herd immunity via vaccination becomes impossible. —ScienceNews, December 8th, 2020; sciencenews.org    Even Premier Scott Moe of Saskatchewan, who once threatened to make the lives of the unvaccinated “uncomfortable,” finally conceded this point whilst voicing his support for the truckers:    I want to be clear on how I feel about vaccines. I am fully vaccinated with my booster shot. This did not prevent me from recently contracting COVID-19, but I believe it did keep me from becoming sick. That said, because vaccination is not reducing transmission, the current federal border policy for truckers makes no sense. An unvaccinated trucker does not pose any greater risk of transmission than a vaccinated trucker. —Statement on January 29th, 2022; twitter.com    Perhaps the greatest irony of all? Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced from hiding today that, after having received three shots, he just tested positive for COVID.[56]    You can’t make this stuff up.
The Last Stand    My family and I recently participated in one of the token convoys that took place across Canada this past weekend. My wife and sons loaded up our horses and drove to a side road on the highway where the convoy of truckers, tractors, and concerned citizens were going to drive by. I went ahead of them to see what was going on. When I arrived, I saw dozens of semi-trucks and vehicles draped in Canadian flags calling for “freedom” and an end to mandates. My eyes welled up with tears. For I have to say, it’s been a lonely couple of years writing about this pandemic. The fear in our communities has been tangible. Everyone, including doctors and nurses, have been afraid to speak up, to stand behind common sense and denounce the utter pseudo-science, manipulation, and fear-mongering of the media and political leaders. Even before the vaccines rolled out, I was long ago warning that we are on the verge of losing our freedom.[57]    But when I saw hundreds of others from this small community rallying together, along with the videos from Ottawa and elsewhere, it was an emotional moment for me and others. We’re not as alone as we think. This isn’t about cheering on a particular viewpoint or political movement. It truly is a fight for our freedom. As scientists warned in my documentary Following the Science?once we accept vaccine passports, our freedom will be gone for everyone. We are fighting for the “vaccinated” as well who don’t seem to realize that Big Pharma and their surrogates like Justin Trudeau intend to turn the entire population into vaccine junkies with endless booster shots for COVID, and whatever else comes along. Professor Klaus Schwab of the World Economic Forum, who is spearheading this “Great Reset,” stated flat out that COVID-19 and “climate change” are the impetus for this “Fourth Industrial Revolution” so as to change, not what we’re doing, but “who we are.”    “It is the fusion of these technologies and their interaction across the physical, digital and biological domains that make the fourth industrial revolution fundamentally different from previous revolutions.” —Prof. Klaus Schwab, founder World Economic Forum, “The Fourth Industrial Revolution”, p. 12    No, I don’t recall asking or voting for this either. But Schwab says, “This revolution will come [at] a brace-taking speed; actually, it will come like a tsunami.”[58] The world has been overwhelmed indeed by the tsunami of incredibly reckless and futile restrictions and mandates. John Hopkins Institute for Applied Economics just released a paper concluding:    …lockdowns have had little to no public health effects, they have imposed enormous economic and social costs where they have been adopted. In consequence, lockdown policies are ill-founded and should be rejected as a pandemic policy instrument. — “A Literature Review and Meta-Analysis of the Effects of Lockdowns on COVID-19 Mortality”, Herby, Jonung and Hanke; January 2022, sites.krieger.jhu.edu    This is why these truckers are in Ottawa. Nearly all their political leaders, doctors, mayors, bishops and priests have fallen silent in the face of this oppression.[59] It is not the military, police or brave politicians but our truckers who appear to be the last stronghold against the damaging policies of Trudeau and his ilk.     The Canadian “lockdown” response will kill at least 10 times more than it might have saved from the actual virus, COVID-19. The unconscionable use of fear during an emergency, to ensure compliance, has caused a breach in confidence in government that will last a decade or more. The damage to our democracy will last at least a generation. —David Redman, M.Eng., July 2021, page 5, “Canada’s Deadly Response to COVID-19”    Do I think this convoy will end this medical tyranny and that life will go back to normal? No, I don’t, as much as I want to see this freedom movement succeed.[60] The hubris of leaders like Trudeau, Schwab, Arden, Macron, Merkel, Biden, Johson, Leyen, Andrews and many more is driven, ultimately, by a diabolical agenda and a very powerful group of wealthy anonymous powers. It truly is a battle between good and evil. And the good will prevail… but not without a battle of cosmic proportions. Maybe this is the beginning…

WHO ARE OUR ELITE?????????

Our Elite is

No Elite at All

The only real recent public service

of elites has been to persuade us

why they were never elites at all.

American Greatness

February 6, 2022

An elite is always variously defined.

The ideal elites, as ancient philosophers argued, were a “natural elite” due to their exemplary character, aptitude, and work ethic. Understandably, a towering few ascended from all walks of life to positions of power, influence, and occasional wealth.

But such a natural meritocracy, for obvious reasons, rarely leads to an equality of result.

Who Are Our Elite?

Our current idea of ostensible elites could be defined by noting their money and influence. But money alone—even in the huge sums now found on Wall Street and in Silicon Valley—is not the only elite criterion.

Donald Trump is a billionaire with much influence and lives accordingly. Yet few of our “elite” would consider him a kindred soul. Ditto Elon Musk. He is the richest man in the world. But the elite mostly despise and ostracize him.

Birth itself has given way somewhat to insider influence and professional parentage. You may be a fifth-generation scion with a name such as Mellon, Vanderbilt, or Rockefeller, but if your dad was not an ambassador, your mom not a VP at CBS, your sibling not a Harvard professor or Google executive, you have fallen out of the elite.

Zipcodes still count. Although there are certainly “elites” who hail from Kansas City, Boise or Sacramento, most of those who exercise national clout are found inordinately on the two coasts, from Boston to Washington, D.C., and from Seattle to San Diego—with respective windows on the wealth of Europe or Asia.

The Obamas were going to be anointed as multimillionaires wherever they lived. But they would not necessarily remain as elite as they have become living back in Chicago rather than in a tony D.C. neighborhood and out on Martha’s Vineyard. So, it was an easy call for them to follow the trajectory of the Clintons rather than the Georgia-bound Carters.

In the 21st century, other elite criteria seem to count as much as the old markers of lineage, money, and location. “Certification,” defined as degrees from the “right” undergraduate and graduate schools, is essential for an elite resumé.

Such brands have little to do with education per se or aggregate knowledge acquired. (It is not clear that an Ivy League student would do better on the same SAT, taken upon graduation as earlier, upon admittance). Are our best generals those with Yale degrees, and our best CEOs those with Stanford MBAs? And are Harvard Law Review editors—think Barack Obama, the boss of Lois Lerner, Eric Holder, James Comey, and John Brennan—our top legal and ethical minds?

The point of certification is that it is the cattle brand to open networking doorways and empower even banal arguments from authority. A Harvard MBA or a Princeton BA is not difficult to obtain. But getting into such places in the first place to obtain such a certification most certainly was hard. And whether it was in the past a matter of being white, rich, and well connected, or in the present being non-white, female, and well-connected, the key is joining an elite club—not justifying one’s membership in it by current and future demonstrable excellence.

Another route to being an elite is found in some sort of political, media, academic, sports, or entertainment celebrity—the Robert De Niros or LeBron Jameses of the world. We are not sure how all these celebrated people became elites, only that some exercise influence and win adherents through their ubiquity—and notoriety. A Don Lemon or Jeffrey Epstein is not an elite by proven achievement or innate talent, much less character. But they sort of became mysteriously famous for being famous (or infamous).

The Kardashians are elites. But they reached this status by merchandising and popularizing larger than normal posteriors—and to be frank, more shamelessly than others—posting selfies of their ample boobs and butts. Ditto an earlier Madonna or Britney Spears, both of whom could somewhat sing in addition to doing burlesque.

Finally, left-wing politics are essential for the new elite. The brilliant Tom Sowell or Shelby Steele is not an elite; the racialist Ibram Kendi or madwoman Joy Reid is.

The CNN masturbatory legal-eagle Jeffrey Toobin is considered an elite expert of jurisprudence, despite having never won a landmark case or being renowned for his courtroom presence or seminal legal scholarship. In contrast, proven expert constitutionalists, such as Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas or Samuel Alito, are not so well regarded as authorities on the law by the elite.

Does Harvard Law have a mini-course on ethics, advising graduates not to expose their phalloi to female colleagues? That is the sort of Toobin illness that would earn a poor deplorable time in the clink or a lifetime on the sex-offender register,

So woke progressivism does not just cement elite membership. It also serves as an acceptable scab to mask a lack of character beneath, especially in the case of scoundrels like one-time would-be presidential contender Michael Avenatti, or the once blackfaced like Justin Trudeau and former Virginia Governor Ralph Northam. It covers the bloody work of former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo as well as long-ago discredited fabulists like Dan Rather and Brian Williams, or plagiarists like the famous Doris Kearns Goodwin, the late Steven Ambrose, and even Joe Biden.

The Elite Res Gestae

What counts more, however, is not so much who becomes an oligarchical elite, but what exactly has this newer sort of elite class done for our society at large?

Collectively, this generation’s record of leadership, such as it is, has been mostly dismal: no Hoover Dam, no subsequent moon-landing or trip to Mars, no Normandy Beach or Inchon, no polio vaccine, no Casablanca, The Best Years of our Lives, or Shane movies, and no novels like For Whom the Bell Tolls, The Grapes of Wrath, Tender is the Night, Absalom, Absalom! or Invisible Man—but plenty of California-like Solyndras and Stonehenge high-speed rails, skedaddles from Kabul and Benghazi, gifting of $80 billion in arms to the Taliban, double-vaxxed and boosted, sorta, kinda short-term immunity, “X-Men” and “Avenger”comic-book films, and How to Be an Anti-Racist best sellers.

The more we gained Silicon Valley billionaires, the more we moved into the world of 1984, merely substituting J. Edgar Hoover’s G-men for woke, suit-and-tied James Comey, Andrew McCabe, Peter Strzok, Lisa Page, and Kevin Clinesmith—or legions of nerds with cancel buttons sitting in rows of computer carrels in Menlo Park.

Movers and shakers who operate Facebook, Twitter, Spotify, or GoFundMe are much more devoted to Soviet-style censorship than to the First Amendment. They worry far more over profits rather than over the Uyghurs. And their creed is more McCarthyism than the Sermon on the Mount.

Our four-star elite officers have more degrees than ever, more contact with the Hill and the White House—and had no more idea, than the clueless bureaucrats who dispatched them, how to discover what was the purpose in Libya or the agenda in Afghanistan.

General Mark Milley was more interested in virtue signaling his furor at white rage than in keeping safe a $1 billion embassy in Kabul, $300 million worth of refits at the Bagram airbase, and $80 billion in arms. He was not so worried over how to win wars or keep the peace. As an elite, he knew he could ignore all that and still not be fired—if he at least virtue signaled his crusade against white rage.

In the current generation of our loud, woke military, we will likely see Afghanistan return as a pre-9/11 terrorist headquarters, Iran go nuclear, North Korea step up its missile launches, and Taiwan and Ukraine at best squeezed into Finlandization, and at worst absorbed.

The more the public listened to the architects of lockdowns, mandates, and quarantines—the elite at the CDC, NIH, and NIAID, the political hypocrites like California Governor Gavin Newsom, former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot, and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, and sham-modelers such as Neil Ferguson of the Imperial College, London—the more people died in classical “the medicine is worse than the malady” fashion.

There are no finer degreed-elites in the world than our medical professionals such as Anthony Fauci, Francis Collins, and Peter Daszak. The three became international rock stars as they crafted a coverup by denying links between the pandemic and the Wuhan virology lab, and their efforts either to fund or hide gain-of-function viral research.

We don’t quite know how we got into $30 trillion of debt, normative $2 trillion deficits, growing stagflation, and adherence to an unhinged modern monetary theory that assures us printing money ensures prosperity. We only know that the 7-Eleven manager, the owner-operator truck driver, and the electrician grasp a lot more about economics than do the Ph.D.s who wrote, argued, and led us into this mess.

The Elite Pantheon

Finally, examine the marquee elites of the past few years. Do we remember the late Jeffrey Epstein, the pedophiliac blackmailer who posed as a legitimate money manager? Do we remember the Lolita express paparazzi who jetted to his various hot spots, whether President Emeritus Bill Clinton or the royal Prince Andrew or allegedly even the global climate change scold Bill Gates? Why did the richest men in the world and so many from Harvard University court him? In contrast, most of the working class knows enough to steer clear of pedophiles.

We are suffering a plague of cop shootings. Yet in a few days, our multimillionaire Super Bowl entertainers will share one thing in common: They all have advocated or glorified violence against the police.

At one time or another, we were told the following elites were geniuses or cutting-edge—men and women in the know and to be known: Woody Allen, Alec Baldwin, the two Cuomos, the always shouting, always furious, always pampered, but otherwise inane and empty Greta Thunberg.

Our corporate elites gave millions in their stockholders’ money as penance to BLM, without a worry where, how, or why those millions were spent—or siphoned off in real estate investments by the grifter leadership.

Nikole Hannah-Jones is now our nation’s elite chronological expert whose rare insight on race, history, and war taught the nation that 1619, not 1776, was our true foundational date. But so far, she has failed to convince anyone of her latest notion that 1865 was the first year of the Civil War.

Ditto, Whoopi Goldberg. She claims rare insight on the catalysts of the Holocaust, apparently better than its architect Adolf Hitler, who, we are told by her, really did not exterminate 6 million Jews because of his racial hatred of Jews. Instead, Professor Goldberg, of Ghost fame, lectures us that what went on at Treblinka was a sort of tit-for-tat catfight between white people. Had Goldberg said Hitler took chloroquine rather than killed 6 million for non-racial reasons, she would likely have been censored or kicked off social media.

Elites hate the truckers. We know that from their outrage over the Canadian trucker strike—and Justin Trudeau’s infantile meltdown. They care little for the working moms who lost their jobs when schools closed, and who had to quit work to watch their children. They have no concern for the small businesses that went broke, as the Zoom class made more money than ever during COVID-19. The more we elected credentialed district attorneys, the more crime shot up, the innocent suffered, and the elite shrugged.

The elite gave us the Russian collusion hoax, the beatification of the prevaricator Adam Schiff, the iconization of the disingenuous conniver Alexander Vindman, the neat idea of modern monetary theory, the bold idea of open borders, the beloved idea of critical race theory, and a spiking violent crime wave explained away by critical legal theory.

The only real recent public service of elites has been to persuade us why they were never elites at all.

Hate to tell you this, but here’s a preview of my upcoming column: “By now you’ve probably guessed — or may read — that Punxsutawney Phil did NOT see his shadow on Groundhog Day, an indicator for those “up nawth” that they still have six weeks of winter ahead. For decades, Big Al at Gator Country (near Beaumont) has been given Kentucky Fried Chicken on Groundhog Day. If he eats, spring’s coming soon! If he doesn’t, six more weeks of winter. The yankee ‘hog — who has a 47% accuracy record — went back in his hole, a “sometimes” indicator that summer’s still a long way away. Unfortunately this year’s decision agrees with our own famous Texas prognosticator, Big Al, who has a 100% accuracy rate! At 13-foot long, Big Al held the “Biggest Gator in Texas” record until recently. Al’s next door neighbor, Big Texas, recently measured 13’, 11″. Al’s still our hero tho.”
