The Democrats’ Divide and Conquer Policy is on Steroids

Evidence of a “cold” American civil war has been playing out in the streets of America for the last year and the reality is it’s been percolating for decades. From the 1999 WTO protests to the hordes calling George Bush a Nazi to Occupy Wall Street, the hyperbole and violence have been ratcheting up for years.
The catalyst that put us on the path to today was Barack Obama’s nomination. Not because of Obama himself, but rather because of the cudgel Democrats crafted from his race. Anyone who opposed Obama’s policies was racist. Suddenly, conservatives who reiterated policies they’d supported for decades were racists as was anyone who opposed Democrat policies.
But race was only the beginning. If you:opposed gay marriage: Homophobic. opposed women in combat: Sexist. supported the police: Fascist.
Such was the beginning of the journey that brings us to America circa 2021. Today you’re either on the side of angels or the side of Hitler. There’s no middle ground. George Washington was a slave-owning racist and nothing else matters. Michael Brown and George Floyd were innocent victims of racist cops. Period. All women should be believed… unless they accuse Democrats. There is an infinite number of genders. Clearly. America is systematically racist and any evidence to the contrary is fiction. “Border wall” is a dog whistle for white nationalists.
The reality is, there are racists among us. So too sexists, homophobes, and fascists. There are also bad cops, sexual predators, and evil people. But here’s the thing: Most Americans are none of those. It wouldn’t be possible to build the free, thriving, diverse and prosperous nation America so recently was if they were. If America were systematically racist, we’d never have had a black president: many of the most popular and highest-earning entertainers wouldn’t be black; Asian Americans wouldn’t make up 40% or more of the student body at some of America’s best colleges, and minorities wouldn’t own 30% of businesses.
But of course, none of that matters to Democrats. The only thing that matters is setting Americans against one another via victimization and leveraging that conflict for power.
But here’s the other thing about all of this: There’s not an American alive today who can’t claim victim status for one thing or another. If you’re black, you’ll undoubtedly encounter racists. If you’re short you’ve likely been the butt of short jokes, while if you’re 7’ tall “How’s the weather up there?” is a ritual greeting. Beautiful women are taken for dumb while rich men are in the IRS crosshairs. Fat people or ugly people often find themselves ostracized or worse. An Asian might be expected to be good in math while gays no doubt have heard countless whispers that communicate disapproval or disdain.
The point is, if people want to see themselves as a victim, they can… every time. But that’s not traditionally what Americans do. In early 20th century America, when Jim Crow reigned in the south and redlines crisscrossed the country, black Americans moved to places like Harlem and Chicago’s south side and built thriving communities. In the latter half of the 19th century, two million Irish came to America and, despite facing extraordinary hatred, built successful communities. Millions of Jews came at the turn of the century and despite virulent anti-Semitism, built a pantheon of successful businesses. Chinese, Vietnamese, and Mexican immigrants had similar experiences. And up until the 1970s, there were places where women weren’t allowed to get credit cards or open bank accounts without their husbands’ signatures!
Virtually all Americans alive today can point to some injustice in their lives or those of their ancestors that they could use to paint themselves as victims. But again, historically Americans have not done that. In fact, American history is a story of a people, a diverse mix of people really, overcoming extraordinary adversity and pulling themselves up by their bootstraps to build a nation out of a sparsely populated continent and, in the process, changing the world for the better in virtually every area of culture, charity, science, commerce and, of course, freedom.
That is the story of America. Americans, largely (but not exclusively) white males, built a nation unlike anything the world has ever seen. Americans, again, largely white men, but not exclusively so, united to save the world from self-destruction in two hot wars and one cold. Americans, largely white men, but not exclusively, put men on the moon. Along the way, they invented television, air conditioning, movies, mobile phones, safety elevators, the Internet, the iPhone, the Pet Rock, and, sadly, Facebook.
A nation made up of imperfect men and women, in the short expanse of two centuries, has also created prosperity unlike anything the world has ever seen. It’s not perfect — at times it’s even been ugly — but for the most part, it’s been spectacular. Not for everyone, and not all the time, but for most people of every race, creed, and color, America has been a Godsend.
Not sure about that? Would black Americans be better off moving back to Africa? Would Italian Americans be better off moving back to Italy? Chinese to China? Mexicans to Mexico? Iranian Americans back to Iran? The answer is likely no in almost every instance.
But again, none of that matters to Democrats. America’s greatness doesn’t matter. America’s freedom and prosperity don’t matter to Democrats. What matters to Democrats is raw power. The proof is easy to see and can be found in the fealty black Americans pay to the Democrat party. Democrats don’t care about black Americans but use their votes to get and maintain power. For 50 years Democrats have had a stranglehold on the black vote, and what they’ve done with that power shows exactly how much they value the lives of black Americans. Not much…
And that’s the template for the Democrats’ endgame: Divide and conquer. By seeking to turn every American into a victim, by seeking to demonize the group that played the single biggest role in building the nation that we inhabit today (white males – because of numbers, not because of DNA or some special gift from God), Democrats are seeking to build a coalition of us vs. them, where the “us” is characterized by victimhood and the “them” are evil incarnate in the form of white males.
The beauty of that plan is that, when literally every single person can point to something today or two decades ago or two centuries ago that constitutes a slight or injustice to be rectified, the pool of potential soldiers is bottomless and all that’s necessary is a promise of salvation. Army not big enough? Craft a few more victim narrative promises of salvation and presto, more soldiers.
But the consequence of those votes will be anything but salvation. 
Once they set the entire population at war against itself, Democrats will step in to pick up the pieces and their literal death grip on power will bring the end of individual liberty, limited government, and, in time, the Republic itself. And with it will go the prosperity that gave so many Democrats the luxury of focusing on our differences and fabricating victimhood in the first place. Caveat emptor.

The blessing of spiritual fatherhood
in the pro-life movement

The Christian community throughout the centuries has proclaimed the sanctity of the child in the womb, created in the image and likeness of God. Sidewalk prayer counseling and vigils at abortion centers are a popular way to give public witness to our faith, while reaching out to women and couples who need support. 

To highlight the invisible spiritual dimension of this work of mercy, we interviewed pro-life activist friends from across our great nation so they could share their insights and experience. Each individual shares decades of leadership experience in pro-life work. A consistent impression emerges regarding the essential role of clergy and ministers in front-line, pro-life advocacy. 

The common perception they shared: The presence of a clergy/minister brings greater peacefulness, more conversations with women take place, and more lives are turned around to choose life. 

“It is very important that priests show up at sidewalk prayer and witnessing events at abortion centers,” writes Camille Giglio, founder of California Right to Life. “I believe their presence gives greater graces and spiritual support. Priests are the best witnesses for the passerby, pregnant women and sometimes their family members driving into the abortion center parking lot.” She is a parishioner in the Diocese of Oakland. 

In the Archdiocese of San Francisco, Nora Dougherty has an impressive record of helping women and couples at abortion centers, scheduled for abortion, to reconsider. 

“The sidewalk work in front of abortion mills is greatly enhanced by the presence of clergy,” she said. “Saving babies is a spiritual battle. We have to be there in prayer. We must be able to offer a woman practical assistance to help her with whatever problems she may be having. We are often the only person standing between a helpless child and an abortionist who is waiting to take his or her life.” 

Sadly, many pro-life advocates are starving for support from their religious leaders. Pro-life advocates can feel discouraged and forgotten when they fail to see any private or public support for their ministry. 

“I have often neared despair trying to gather the involvement of fellow believers. I have had many pastors hint at wanting to join me ‘vigiling’ for at least one time, but only one has,” said Larry Garber, president of Maytown Stands for Life, an Evangelical Christian and 30-year veteran of the sidewalk. He writes from York and Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

Fortunately, many churches and religious leaders have stepped up their interest in front-line, pro-life ministries. 

In the Archdiocese of San Francisco, Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone launched the spring 2021 40 Days for Life Vigil by presiding at Mass then leading a procession to the vigil site where he performed a Minor Exorcism. 

“With 40 Days for Life Lenten vigil, some people are moved to offer counsel to the women, even though that is optional,” Ron Konopaski from San Francisco writes. “It is more about prayer and fasting. Last week, a couple decided not to abort their baby. We have come to believe that from our prayer, our guardian angels are assisting the guardian angels of the women to spare the lives of their babies.” 

His pastor, Rev. Joseph Illo, of Star of the Sea Parish, is a holy man who has nurtured a respect for life and support for pro-life advocacy in his parish. Many who participate in the 40 Days vigils attend his parish. He is frequently present at the vigil site. Intentions for the unborn and their mothers are included at daily Mass. 

In the Oakland Diocese, Bishop Michael C. Barber, SJ writes pastoral letters to encourage participation in local 40 Days for Life vigils. In May 2018, Bishop Barber led a Eucharistic Procession from St. Mary Church to the vigil site in Walnut Creek. Last month, The Catholic Voice reported he prayed at the 40 Days for Life vigil in El Cerrito. 

The bishop’s support is bearing good fruit. A 40 Days campaign was launched in Walnut Creek in 2015, with the support and encouragement of Very Rev. Lawrence D’Anjou, who brought together many parish groups to participate. The vigil site is at an abortion facility just two blocks from St. Mary School. 

Similarly, an abortion facility in neighboring Concord is just a few blocks from Queen of All Saints School. Sidewalk prayer warriors have visited the site for many years. With the support of Father D’Anjou, it now hosts its own 40 Days vigil. 

St. Mary Parish has maintained a dynamic sidewalk presence at the abortion clinic. This was through the consistent leadership of the parish Respect Life Ministry led by Jim Crowley. 

“We have had a few priests come to our vigil,” Linda Mertes, coordinator of the Friends for Life Tri Valley initiative, said of the 40 Days for Life Vigil in Walnut Creek. “Father Lawrence [D’Anjou] in particular has been coming for years. He also supports the Concord 40 Days vigil. I know it helps morale to have a priest out there. It helps us to feel much more supported, backed by our Church, spiritually protected.” 

Proclaiming the Gospel of Life
Joan Batista shared her appreciation for previous parish pastors, and the mentorship of Rev. Frank Pavone in the development of her pro-life ministry. In a recent piece in Catholic Online, Father Pavone, founder of Priests for Life, shares how the reality of the resurrection of Jesus compels the Church and her leaders to participate in prolife advocacy: 

“The influence of the Church on the world, therefore, is the influence of a community which already participates in victory over death. That influence moves the structures and choices of society away from death and destruction, and toward the affirmation, in word and deed, of the precious gift of life.” 

This slice of real life from the national Catholic and Evangelical Christian pro-life community reveals the great blessing when clergy and pastors participate in front-line, pro-life ministry. 

We hope and pray it will inspire other religious leaders to respond to the call of Jesus in the Gospel of Matthew, to share the gift of their spiritual fatherhood to bless and protect the children in the womb at risk of abortion: … Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for Me. (Matthew 25:40)

Never Again! An Open Letter to our Bishops    Disclaimer: At Catholic Stand, seek to further the spirit of charitable discussion. In matters of Church teaching, we tolerate no dissent; but in matters which various opinions may legitimately be held, we tolerate discussion of ideas insofar as they are taken to be intellectual explorations and not Gospel truths.     Dear Bishops:    We trusted you.     We served at your parishes and sat on your committees. We answered your appeals for money. We defended you, even when it was difficult.     We said nothing when you felt the need to adopt virtually all of the secular social justice issues of the day, issuing statements about temporal matters outside of your divine mandate, while ignoring far greater issues of eternal life and death, for which you are responsible.    We stood by you when you allowed liturgical laxity and innovation. We believed you when you said the casual, congregation-centered Masses were just as reverent as the Traditional Latin Masses.     We accepted your decisions even when the only disciplinary measures you employed were against orthodox priests.     We made excuses for you thinking you were so busy overseeing your bureaucracy and attending meetings that you had no time to teach, sanctify or govern.    Lack of Remorse    We even turned the other way when rumors of scandal were whispered about, unwilling to believe them.     Then after widespread scandals you participated in or allowed to continue through your silence, there was no repentance, no transparency, no resignations, no purification.    Your collective dishonesty and unwillingness to root out homosexuals, the morally compromised, the pampered, and those who do not believe in the supernatural, have pushed even your biggest supporters to never again be fooled by your lies and hypocrisy.    You are hiding behind lawyers and insurance companies, protecting your dwindling assets that we and our ancestors paid for. Yet even bankruptcy is no excuse for not doing what is right.    We no longer trust you because the dioceses and parishes are run by the same people who were directly involved in the clerical conspiracy of silence.     In nearly three years since the McCarrick scandal, which was not an isolated event, you have not cleaned house, nor demonstrated any appetite to deal with the structural secrecy and systemic sodomy within your ranks, while calling out the so-called structural and systemic sins out in the world.    Sadly, too many of your brother bishops have become mere managers, relying on fallen human wisdom and human solutions, rather than tapping into the supernatural power of the office of Bishop and the infinite grace-giving weapons to which you have been entrusted.    When we finally begged you, in the face of a pandemic, to keep our Churches open and the sacraments safe and available, you shamefully shut off the spigot of divine graces, agreeing with the government, not God, that the Church is non-essential.    Your attempts to curry favor with the left who seek to remake you in their image is not merely short-sighted, but suicidal.     In doing so, you’ve entirely lost the center to the right of a deeply divided Church who are the most faithful and engaged Catholics, who actually go to Mass, and who would have been your most ardent supporters, as they always have been.     Now, our trust is not in you but in God alone.    Our Hope is in God    ”Put not your trust in princes: In the children of men, in whom there is no salvation. His spirit shall go forth, and he shall return into his earth: in that day all their thoughts shall perish. Blessed is he who hath the God of Jacob for his helper, whose hope is in the Lord his God” (Psalm 146:2-5).    Many are learning the faith for themselves, often for the first time, because you didn’t do your job in the first place to catechize and pass on the faith.     We, who take no oath of loyalty to you, are obedient to the true, timeless teachings of the Church, not your modernist interpretations and secular social justice slant.    We don’t have to put up with a watered-down brand of “catholicism” anymore, for we can seek out and support the holy, joyful, orthodox pockets of the faith.     If enough of us attend and encourage reverent liturgies, these parishes will flourish while the ad-libbing, no kneeling parishes will die on the vine.    We see this pattern with the rapid rise of vibrant, orthodox religious orders centered on the Eucharist, in comparison to those older orders who jettisoned their habits, along with their belief in Jesus, are rapidly becoming extinct.    Besides, in times when the Bride of Christ is so weakened, we need the supernatural big guns which are reverent and awe-inspiring Masses, well-understood, well-celebrated, and with at least some of the sacred language reserved for God.     Aside from a much-needed increased supernatural power, parishes, priests and even the bishops will take notice as these flourishing orthodox parishes become authentic Catholic communities, beacons of hope, and emblems of the Catholic resistance.    Being counter-cultural is not enough — we must, at times, even be counter to the bureaucratic Church.     This means we must think, speak, pray and act according to the established rituals, traditions, and teachings of our Catholic Faith, not according to the irrational and immoral politically correct mantras of the age, some of which subsist within the Church.    We should encourage the good parishes and orthodox priests while avoiding the bad parishes.     We must demand transparency, honesty, fidelity, courage, holiness, and if they refuse, we as children of the light must shine a disinfecting spotlight on what they prefer to remain in the darkness.    We must engage in what C.S. Lewis called for, a “great campaign of sabotage” against the cowardly and compromised clerics who have caused this Great Apostasy and continue to preside over the decline of the Church with an indifferent, hopeless, hospice mentality.    A Campaign of Sabotage    This strategy begins with prayer, followed by awareness and resistance in accordance with the will of God.     This also means calling you and your brother bishops to be faithful to Christ and reminding you of the eternal consequences of your failure to do so.     It means praising you when you do the right thing and letting you and others know when you fail to do so, in accordance with Canon 212: “In accord with the knowledge, competence, and preeminence which they possess, they [i.e., the laity] have the right and even at times a duty to manifest to the sacred pastors their opinion on matters which pertain to the good of the Church, and they have a right to make their opinion known to other Christian faithful, with due regard for the integrity of faith and morals and reverence toward their pastors, and with consideration for the common good and the dignity of persons.”    This must, of course, be accomplished first by charitably and respectfully informing the Bishop, followed by non-scandalous modern means of communications with the faithful.    It means supporting solid religious ministries and organizations, while avoiding those who have abandoned the faith and Christ, letting them know why they don’t deserve our support.     It may even mean to refuse to obey the bishop’s compromises with the world.    Such sabotage could even involve the purchasing of closed parishes and staffing them with solid, sidelined, or retired priests.     It could mean gathering an army of warriors who pray at your chanceries and residences, attending your meetings and ceremonies not to intimidate, but to peacefully pray, to encourage, and to let you know there are thousands more out there who will not simply sit back and accept this disastrous course.    If you won’t be the courageous guardians of the Body of Christ you were ordained to be, then we will.     If you refuse to be the generals we need in this spiritual and material battle for souls, then step aside and let someone, who believes in the supernatural, and is willing to assemble an army of the entire Church Militant, utilizing all of the spiritual weapons in the Church’s arsenal, take over.    If you fail to do the one job you have been given by Christ because you fear the social and mainstream media and the loss of your popularity, then we will be the faithful, outspoken, happy warriors to encourage you and hold you to account when no one else will.     We will be the united voice of tradition and sacred order amidst the heterodoxy and chaos, the powerful right flank of the Church, and the pillars of iron to stand firm when you get wobbly.     This assembled army of orthodoxy and charity will no longer be dismissed and demonized by you as disorganized dissenters or random, right-wing, rad-trads.    We will stand up to these secular forces, having your back if and when you decide to join in the fight.     If you are merely motivated by fear, not righteousness, then maybe you will fear us more than you fear the spirit of the age.     If you are motivated by perishable things such as wealth, prestige, or comfort, these can and likely will be taken away, and you may soon experience poverty, disgrace, and discomfort.    You have clearly demonstrated that you can’t or won’t clean up your own mess.     Though there are some holy bishops and many solid priests there is no comprehensive plan or even an appetite to address the widespread evil which subsists within your hierarchy.     Since you’ve proven, time and again, you can’t police yourselves, then the laity must.     The good priests and bishops will likely appreciate the cover and gladly welcome such a unified effort to turn over the tables they desperately wish they could.     These holy and courageous clerics can even be an integral part of this necessary purification and renewal, along with other lay diocesan or parish employees who have access to the dark and dirty secrets the Church still insists on hiding.    With the anonymous reporting provisions, whistleblower protection, and the hidden help of those loyal to God not men, you and your brother bishops will finally be forced to address this ongoing evil, to repent, to show contrition, to call for prayer and sacrifice, to be transparent, to remove bad actors, and even to resign if need be.     The Church in the current clerical culture of conspiracy and concealment will only be cleansed when devout, orthodox, members of the ministerial and common priesthood team up on the side of Jesus to expose the enemies and cowards within, motivated not by career advancement or settling of scores, but for the glory of God and the salvation of souls.    Please understand, we are not in opposition to the Church we love; we are in opposition to the cowardly men who lead it, and the unfaithful functionaries who, by their secularism, sins, and secrecy have all but shipwrecked the Ark of Salvation.     We are not just content to complain; we are committed to doing everything in our power, by prayer and sacrifice, by word and action, to restore the Kingdom of God for Christ.    We will get engaged as you have never seen before.     The laity will rise up to save the Church, as Archbishop Fulton Sheen predicted and as Apostolicam Actuositatem envisioned, with all the zeal and the courage of Apostolic times.     We will even teach, train, and give to the Church our sons and daughters as priests, religious, and laymen and women, to finish the job we have started, purifying the Church.    We, having been awakened from our slumber, see much more clearly and are assembling an army of devout, Catholics to answer the divine mandate, when you, and other Church leaders have abdicated yours.     When your soul and mine are in eternal jeopardy, not to mention the thousands of souls who have left the Church and remain outside How Much Ruin Do We Have Left?The rest of the world is watching — some with glee, others with horror. By: VICTOR DAVIS HANSON  The Patriot Post April 22, 2021 As Americans know from their own illustrious history, any nation’s well-being hinges on only a few factors. Its prosperity, freedom, and overall stability depend on its constitutional and political stability. A secure currency and financial order are also essential, as is a strong military. Perhaps most important is a first-rate inductive educational system. Of course, nothing is possible without general social calm (often dependent on a reverence for the past) and secure borders. The ability to produce or easily acquire food, fuel, and key natural resources ensures a nation’s independence and autonomy. Unfortunately, in the last few months, all of those centuries-old reasons to be confident in American strength and resiliency have been put into doubt. The challenge is not just enemies abroad such as China, Russia, North Korea, and Iran. The greater problem lies within us, as we erode the inherited and acquired strengths that made us singular, both materially and spiritually. We are now witnessing a concentrated effort to alter the constitutional order and centuries of custom and tradition. The left believes that’s the only way it can retain its transient power, given the unpopularity of most of its current agenda. A nation’s institutions are its bedrock. Yet, the Electoral College and the Constitution’s emphasis on individual states establishing voting laws are under assault. Already gone is the 176-year-old tradition of a pivotal November Election Day. The 152-year-old nine-member Supreme Court, the 184-year-old Senate filibuster and the 62-year-old idea of a 50-state union are all being targeted by the New Democratic Party. Given that the last presidential election was hotly contested, that Democratic congressional majorities are minuscule, and that the Supreme Court is unsympathetic, the left seeks to change the rules to stay in power rather than adjust its unpopular policies. We are running up vast multitrillion-dollar annual deficits as we race to a $30 trillion national debt. More worrisome, our elites justify the spending with sophistries about debt being irrelevant, or inflation and stagflation being relics of the past — even as prices are now soaring. After costly strategic stagnation in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Libya, our military is now turning on its own. Some of the politicized top brass seem more worried about the politics of their own soldiers than the dangers of foreign militaries. Our public schools and colleges are systematically downplaying meritocratic curricula and substituting ideological, racial, and cultural litmus tests. Admissions now often hinge as much on race, gender, and ethnicity as on quantifiable achievement. The First Amendment and Fifth Amendment, covering free speech and due process, have vanished from most college campuses. The year 2020 saw the most destructive riots in American history. Yet very few of the looters, arsonists, and rioters were ever indicted. Most were never arrested. Whether the government arrests violent protesters or those assembling en masse and breaking quarantines is contingent on their ideology. Private monopolies that control most of the written communications of Americans censor expression entirely on the basis of politics. Modern Jacobins seek to erase our founding in 1776. Mobs tear down statues and deface monuments with impunity. There is no consistent rhyme or reason as to why the names of schools, institutions, and streets are erased overnight — except the relative dangers of a nihilistic electronic mob. Our officials at the Justice Department and the United Nations either will not or cannot defend the history and reputation of their own homeland. Record natural gas and oil production has been giving the public affordable heating, cooling, and transportation. Self-sufficiency in energy made the United States exempt from worries over Middle Eastern wars and foreign oil embargos. The more we produced our own natural gas, the cleaner became our air and the smaller our collective carbon footprint. Yet in just 100 days, energy prices have soared. The Joe Biden administration has canceled the Keystone XL pipeline and limited energy leasing on federal lands, threatening to all but end our gas and oil independence in just a few years. In the drought-stricken West, key irrigation water is still being diverted from farms to the ocean. Billions of dollars in farm aid are doled out on the basis of race. And promised new regulations and estate taxes may well kill off what’s left of family farms. Adam Smith said of successful nations that they have a lot of “ruin”in them. He meant that a dissolute, leisure and ahistorical generation has to waste a lot of its generous inherited wealth before it runs out. We are learning how much will soon be left of what our ancestors bequeathed. And the rest of the world is watching — some with glee, others with horror.

I have been wondering if those injected with the new “vaccines” are shedding that which might harm others with whom they come in contact, with the suspicion that they likely are. 

The video below addresses that, and I can’t recommend strongly enough that everyone listen to it (only 12 minutes long).

Many of you know who Dr. Larry Palevsky is, and for those who don’t, he is a NY pediatrician who has spoken out about the dangers of vaccines since the late 1990s, when a mother in his practice showed him that there was mercury in the vaccines he was administering to the children in his practice. When studies are done on injections that are thought to be vaccines, we sometimes need 7, 10, or even 15 years, to understand what the injection does to the body, and what it does to those around us.

And so, there’s automatically this assumption that when the authorities say these injections are safe, that we actually have adequate data and adequate observational data to understand whether or not these injections are safe. The bottom line is we don’t have enough data to understand their safety.

The other thing is that we are made to believe in the public eye that this is a vaccine against a viral infection. So, the entire world is thinking that this is a vaccine to protect us against SARS-COV2 infection. And when you have a vaccine that is supposed to be effective as a vaccine, you are supposed to have antibody immunity against the SARS-COV2 virus. And that has never been evaluated with these injections as to whether or not we have antibody immunity to a SARS-COV2 virus. Instead, what we have is the genetic information of what is believed to be a piece of the SARS-COV2 virus, and that piece is called the spike protein. And the technology that is being used is a technology to make this injection that has never been used in vaccine science or methodology before with any kind of success.

So, we are essentially taking the genetic instructions that make a synthetic spike protein, believed to be a part of the SARS-COV2 virus, and we are giving those sets of instructions into the body and asking the human body to take the genetic instructions of that spike protein and make more of it in our own machinery. And so this messenger RNA technology, which is what it is called, is delivering the genetic instructions for us to make the spike protein. And the problem is that no study has ever been done to test its safety. But, also, no study has been done to test whether we turn on the production of that spike protein, and ever turn it off.

And so spike protein in the naturally occurring SARS-COV2 viral infection has been shown to cause brain inflammation and neurological damage, heart attacks, lung disease, liver disease, kidney disease, and interacting with the male and female reproductive systems, along with affecting blood binding to oxygen and blood clotting. And so we know that the natural disease of SARS-COV2, because of the effects of the spike protein, is making people sick with all of these kinds of systemic illnesses. And so now we are taking that spike protein genetic instructions and we are asking our bodies to make more of that spike protein. And so by making more of that spike protein, we are essentially creating the symptoms and the illness of Covid 19, by giving people the potential to have brain damage and neurological damage, lung disease, liver disease, kidney disease, heart attacks, strokes, blood clotting issues, and impairments to male and female reproductive systems. And there is no study to show whether when the body starts manufacturing this synthetic spike protein, whether or not we ever turn off the production of that spike protein. And so that spike protein is known to be pretty damaging to the human tissue.

So we know that spike protein has been found in saliva, we know that it has been found in the anus, and so, we have to ask the question, is it found in the exhalation molecules that come out of our breath? Is it found in the skin when we sweat and we smell, do the spike proteins come out, and if so, does that impact other people with whom we come in contact?

And so what we have been seeing is a massive increase in those who have been given the injection of blood clotting problems, miscarriages, stillborns, infertility, strokes, heart attacks, autoimmune diseases, and death, just to name a few. And that’s in those who have been injected. So, certainly, there should be a suspicion when you see people around the injected people, who have not been injected, getting the typical symptoms of Covid, in addition to miscarriages, bleeding, irregular menstrual cycles, it should raise a very, very strong suspicion.

And that antibody to the spike protein genetic instructions is going to produce an attack on any of the proteins and tissues in the body that are similar or the same to the genetic instructions of the spike protein. So that is why you will see autoimmune diseases.

But, many months ago, there was an article that came out in the European literature where there were several proteins in the male and female reproductive systems that were found to have similar genetic instructions to the genetic instructions of the spike protein. And the scientist raised the concern that if we inject the genetic instructions of the spike protein into the body and cause the body to make an antibody against the genetic instructions of the spike protein, we will also cause the body to make an antibody against the male and female reproductive systems because those proteins in the male and female reproductive systems had similar instructions to the spike protein. And he raised a very strong concern about it, because his concern was that it would basically immobilize and take out sperm from being able to fertilize an egg, and that it would also impair the egg itself, and that it would also impair the placenta.

And so the experts around the world did the following…when they heard this scientific concern, the experts around the world said, oh, but the amount of genetic instructions of the proteins in the male and female reproductive systems are so small in similarity to the genetic instructions of the spike protein, that it really shouldn’t make a difference. And, ladies and gentlemen, that is how we got the science that said there should be no concerns about infertility or miscarriages in men and women, respectively. There were no studies, just an opinion, that said the genetic instructions of the proteins on the male and female reproductive systems were such small similarities to the spike protein, that it shouldn’t matter. And, therefore, it didn’t matter. And so what we are seeing in women who get the injection, is a very large, hundreds of percent increase, in miscarriages and stillborns of their babies, all being reported to VAERS.

And now what we are seeing is women who are around others who have been injected are having the same experience, which has to raise the suspicion that not only does that messenger RNA make the body produce spike protein on an ongoing basis, but that spike protein is probably shedding out of the breath, the saliva, the skin, and who knows where else in the body it is being shed from.

Just the last point before you ask me the next question. That is only based on what we think we know is in these injections. But Dr. Tenpenny and I have discussed this on numerous occasions, that there is potential for other mRNA proteins being injected into the body that would cause the body to make all sorts of proteins that we may not be aware of.

And so by making more of that spike protein, we are essentially creating the symptoms and the illness of Covid 19, by giving people the potential to have brain damage and neurological damage, lung disease, liver disease, kidney disease, heart attacks, strokes, blood clotting issues, and impairments to male and female reproductive systems. And there is no study to show whether when the body starts manufacturing this synthetic spike protein, whether or not we ever turn off the production of that spike protein. And so that spike protein is known to be pretty damaging to the human tissue.

So we know that spike protein has been found in saliva, we know that it has been found in the anus, and so, we have to ask the question, is it found in the exhalation molecules that come out of our breath? Is it found in the skin when we sweat and we smell, do the spike proteins come out, and if so, does that impact other people with whom we come in contact?

And so what we have been seeing is a massive increase in those who have been given the injection of blood clotting problems, miscarriages, stillborns, infertility, strokes, heart attacks, autoimmune diseases, and death, just to name a few. And that’s in those who have been injected. So, certainly, there should be a suspicion when you see people around the injected people, who have not been injected, getting the typical symptoms of Covid, in addition to miscarriages, bleeding, irregular menstrual cycles, it should raise a very, very strong suspicion.

Now, the spike protein is, we are told, just specific to the SARS-COV2 virus. So, when your body makes the synthetic spike protein, you are supposed to produce an antibody that is supposed to attack the spike protein. Now, we don’t know if that spike protein production keeps going and going and going, and that would make the antibody production keep going and going and going as well. And the thing is that we are finding that the genetic instructions of the spike protein are not specific just to the SARS-COV2 virus. The genetic instructions of the spike protein are also similar to, or the same, as many proteins that exist in the body itself. And so, therefore, if we are going to produce an antibody against the genetic instructions of the spike protein, those antibodies are going to find every bit of protein tissue around the body that matches the genetic instructions of the spike protein. And that antibody to the spike protein genetic instructions is going to produce an attack on any of the proteins and tissues in the body that are similar or the same to the genetic instructions of the spike protein. So that is why you will see autoimmune diseases.

But, many months ago, there was an article that came out in the European literature where there were several proteins in the male and female reproductive systems that were found to have similar genetic instructions to the genetic instructions of the spike protein. And the scientist raised the concern that if we inject the genetic instructions of the spike protein into the body and cause the body to make an antibody against the genetic instructions of the spike protein, we will also cause the body to make an antibody against the male and female reproductive systems because those proteins in the male and female reproductive systems had similar instructions to the spike protein. And he raised a very strong concern about it, because his concern was that it would basically immobilize and take out sperm from being able to fertilize an egg, and that it would also impair the egg itself, and that it would also impair the placenta.

And so the experts around the world did the following…when they heard this scientific concern, the experts around the world said, oh, but the amount of genetic instructions of the proteins in the male and female reproductive systems are so small in similarity to the genetic instructions of the spike protein, that it really shouldn’t make a difference. And, ladies and gentlemen, that is how we got the science that said there should be no concerns about infertility or miscarriages in men and women, respectively. There were no studies, just an opinion, that said the genetic instructions of the proteins on the male and female reproductive systems were such small similarities to the spike protein, that it shouldn’t matter. And, therefore, it didn’t matter. And so what we are seeing in women who get the injection, is a very large, hundreds of percent increase, in miscarriages and stillborns of their babies, all being reported to VAERS.

And now what we are seeing is women who are around others who have been injected are having the same experience, which has to raise the suspicion that not only does that messenger RNA make the body produce spike protein on an ongoing basis, but that spike protein is probably shedding out of the breath, the saliva, the skin, and who knows where else in the body it is being shed from.

Just the last point before you ask me the next question. That is only based on what we think we know is in these injections. But Dr. Tenpenny and I have discussed this on numerous occasions, that there is potential for other mRNA proteins being injected into the body that would cause the body to make all sorts of proteins that we may not be aware of.

Under the guise of public health and safety, public worship in Ireland has been severely restricted since December, and now a new law further tightens this oppression, effectively criminalizing attendance at any religious gatherings, including sacramental confession with a priest. It’s now against the law for a priest to say Mass or hear confessions in Ireland.
This is an opportunity for the Irish people to become saints. They should defy state officials and boldly proclaim their public worship of God in imitation of holy Daniel who threw the windows open and knelt on the upper floor so that the king’s men could see him praying in defiance of the king’s orders. (Daniel 6:10) This is what God wants from us, not this fake obedience of kissing up to the state to gain favors.
Since Vatican II, bishops and priests have spent all their time doing away with obedience to God’s laws, like it’s a lost cause, and now they bow to these political Pharaohs that have imposed a new COVID religion on them. They’ve become like the hypocrites in Christ’s time, touting their hand-washing and “sanitary” procedures and adopting ridiculous “traditions of men” while the work of God is ignored! Such obedience is a “mask” of their cowardly denial of Christ.
Enough with sermons on how to obey the state, let’s get back to Catholic action and lock the state out of God’s Church. This is the obedience God expects from us. May the example of St. Thomas Becket spur us in that direction.

Optimism, Inc.:Part 3: #MeToo Too?: More on What Ends Hysterias By: Victor Davis Hanson April 20, 2021  Hat Tip: Rip McIntosh There is no need to go over all the details of the recent #MeToo wave. Most supported the initial disclosures. Who could defend Weinstein, or the sexual narcissist Matt Lauer with his electric button-locked office, who parlayed his position into serial asymmetrical sexual trysts while he broadcast his progressive fides to the world? Soon, major (thus liberal and leftist) Hollywood stars and key politicians were under a cloud, from Garrison Keillor and Charlie Rose to Al Franken and Joe Biden. The nadir was the Kavanaugh hearings.The Left jumped the shark and tried to convince America that a long-ago, teen-aged Kavanaugh had been a veritable rapist because an unhinged witness lied serially (e.g., Christine Blasey Ford really was coached, she did routinely fly on airlines, etc.).  Decades after the supposed crime, with no proof and no corroboration, Ford became the godhead of a political smear campaign to stop a conservative from joining the Supreme Court. The logical trajectory of mainstreaming the confused accuser Ford led to accepting the insanity of snake-oil peddler Michael Avenatti, the current felon, and former Trump-hating would-be Democratic nominee and CNN/MSNBC star.  And so #MeToo sputtered out—to the point that the leading women of the Democratic Party yawned when candidate Joe Biden was accused by Tara Reade of having crudely and brutally sexually assaulted her decades earlier.  Reade even produced some corroboration in contemporary communications about the assault, in a manner nonexistent with Ford’s accusations against Kavanaugh. At one point in the primary, Kamala Harris vaguely announced “I believed them” in reference to the army of young women who had claimed candidate Old Joe had squeezed many, blew their hair, nuzzled, and felt them. No matter.  The Left soon killed off  #MeToo that it had birthed—and began to lament their own prior demolishment of the buffoonish Senator Al Franken. Biden’s exemptions were supposedly now based on principle, namely that being handsy or worse in one’s past cannot years later be redefined as non-consensual or worse (usually in asymmetrical fashion used against the partner who became the more famous or wealthy).  In truth, #MeToo could afford to lose the monstrous Weinstein, but not Joe Biden or a long-ago apparently rehabilitated Bill Clinton, and not “our side” journalists like Glenn Thrush, Tavis Smiley, and Mark Halperin.  And so #MeToo now is relegated to the partisan ash heap: it is still useful to go after Republicans or conservatives but makes no claims that women out of the past have any right to bring down progressives.

The Forgotten ‘October Surprise’ (Part II): Cui Bono? by Steven O’Reilly April 21, 2021 (Steven O’Reilly) – In Part I of “The Forgotten ‘October Surprise’…“, we took a look at an event that may have been intended to influence the outcome of the 2013 conclave. As a brief recap, on the morning of March 12, 2013, the day the conclave in Rome was to begin later that day, Italian anti-mafia police conducted a series of raids around Milan related to an investigation of an Italian politician named Roberto Formigoni. Formigoni was a close friend of the Cardinal Archbishop of Milan, Angelo Scola. Up until that morning at least, Scola had been a leading papabile, if not the leading papabile. Initial press reports of the raids appears to have sparked negative rumors about Scola among Cardinals, Vaticanisti, and other conclave observers (see The Forgotten ‘October Surprise’ of the 2013 Conclave).Is this a ‘Whodunnit?’We do not take up here the guilt or innocence of Formigoni. That is for the Italian courts, and, ultimately, God to judge. But, it is not really a matter of the true guilt or innocence of any one.  As one observer of Italian affairs put it to me recently, it is a “very Italian MO. Use the magistrates to handicap political opponents. They did it to Berlusconi to stop him running in 2018. Now to Salvini…“.Certainly, the timing of the raid recounted in part I is both troubling and suspicious. The news of the raid broke the morning of March 12. With the Cardinals scheduled to enter the conclave later in the afternoon, there would be enough time for damaging word of the raids to spread among them, but little time to contain that damage. Truly, the timing could not have been any worse for Cardinal Scola’s chances in the conclave. Had the raids occurred 24 hours, or even only 12 hours later, the raid would not have had anyimpact on the conclave whatsoever; the cardinals would have already entered the Sistine Chapel by then.Had the raids occurred 24-48 hours earlier, there would have been an opportunity for damage control. Media reporting might have better explained that Scola had no mafia ties or connections of any kind, i.e., the sort of details that might have put the minds of concerned Cardinals fearful of even more corruption in the Vatican.  Given the above considerations, at Roma Locuta Est, we cannot help but wonder: were the raids intentionally timed to maximize the damage to Scola’s papal prospects? Certainly, If one were of the mind and in a position of power to plot such a thing, one could not have chosen a better time or messaging to maximize the damage to Scola’s chances.  For example, the raid dovetailed nicely with the plans of one anonymous Cardinal to talk “exhaustively” about Comunione e Liberazione in the conclave, and who thought Scola was too political (see Part One).As more research continues into the raids of March 12, we do know the Italian Prime Minister at the time was Mario Monti (16 November 2011 – 28 April 2013). As a globalist, Monti [1] would surely have not been pleased with Pope Benedict XVI’s opposition to globalism and globalist causes, nor would he likely be desirous of a potential Scola papacy. Monti had close ties with the Obama administration. For example, Obama’s former campaign strategist and “Senior Advisor to the President” (David Axelrod) arrived in Italy in early 2013 to advise Monti on his re-election effort (see Here). There have also been allegations that Italian officials — when Matteo Renzi was Prime Minister — cooperated with Obama Administration intelligence officials to help launch the “Russia Hoax” which tied up the Trump administration in years of FBI and Special Counsel investigations into false and concocted allegations (see here, and here).[2]  Obama Administration types were more than willing to use law enforcement and intelligence assets to take down a presidential candidate, and then a sitting American president; and we are all aware of the recent stolen presidential election. If they would do this to a president and a U.S. national election, why would they shrink from taking down a pope, or interfering with a conclave (see here)?Cui Bono?So, whether it was a plot or just an unhappy coincidence for Cardinal Scola (and ultimately the Church), to whom went the benefit? Cui Bono?Gerard O’Connell [3]  provided us with the vote tallies from the 2013 conclave (see his book, The Election of Pope Francis). In the first vote on March 12, among those receiving the most votes; Scola received 30 votes, far short of the 50 that various observers, like Corriere della Sera, has project. In that same vote, Bergoglio received 26 votes, and Ouellet 22.  On the first vote of March 13; Bergoglio received 45 votes to Scola’s 38, and Ouellet’s 24. In the second vote of the day, the top vote-getters were Bergoglio (56), Scola (41), and Ouellet (14). And it was here that Scola’s support reached its high water mark, never to draw any closer to the Scola’s predicted voting base (50). In the third vote of March 13th, Scola’s tally fell to 32, and Ouellet’s to 13; while Bergoglio now achieved 67 votes. Then in the final vote of the day and of the conclave that gave Bergoglio the papacy, the tallies were Bergoglio (85), Scola (20), and Ouellet (8). Clearly, support grew steadily stronger for Bergoglio with each vote. In contrast, Scola only added 11 votes to his initial tally before his support melted away.Now, with the above in mind, returning to the question we asked at the beginning of this section.  Cui Bono? Undoubtedly, it was Cardinal Jorge Bergoglio, SJ.Final ThoughtsThe raid, certainly on its face, appears to have been an orchestrated attempt to interfere with the conclave, the timing and the messaging that followed are just too coincidental. In addition to this, we have already seen in our prior treatment of McCarrick’s “influential Italian gentleman” that there may have been attempts by two laymen to “influence” Cardinals and or the conclave as well, and potentially with the knowledge of Cardinal Bergoglio (see The Conclave Chronicles).  For example, Bergoglio was the recipient, fortuitously, of glowing press treatment by an Italian Vaticanista — a couple days after dining with him on the night he arrived in Rome. Further, we know the “influential Italian gentleman” lobbied McCarrick to “talk up Bergoglio,” and we know why McCarrick’s support would be vital (e.g. see The “Influential Italian Gentleman” and The Influential Italian Gentleman: McCarrick “touted the praises” of Bergoglio Prior to the Conclave). Finally, we know McCarrick seemingly admitted to another prelate on the day of Bergoglio’s election that he and others had campaigned for that result (see McCarrick on Bergoglio’s Election: “We did it!”).  Indeed, Bergoglio seems to have been the happy beneficiary of a number of coincidences which tended toward his election. But when one sees a growing number of coincidences that skew one way, one must wonder if what one is seeing is not, instead, a pattern.  After all, “there are no coincidences.”[4]Did the St. Gallen mafia, and potential allies in the Italian government (and others?) leave nothing to chance in hopes of electing as pope a certain globalist friendly cardinal, i.e., Cardinal Bergoglio, by dirtying up and kneecapping his leading contender?  Did certain individuals, and or governments have a hand with certain cardinals, such as those in the St. Gallen mafia, in trying to interfere with, and to shape, and influence the outcome of the conclave. If so, this would be an obvious violation of the rules governing a conclave which prohibits outside influence, and cooperation of Cardinals with it. For example, in Universi Dominici Gregis, John Paul II declared (emphasis added):80. In the same way, I wish to confirm the provisions made by my Predecessors for the purpose of excluding any external interference in the election of the Supreme Pontiff. Therefore, in virtue of holy obedience and under pain of excommunication latae sententiae, I again forbid each and every Cardinal elector, present and future, as also the Secretary of the College of Cardinals and all other persons taking part in the preparation and carrying out of everything necessary for the election, to accept under any pretext whatsoever, from any civil authority whatsoever, the task of proposing the veto or the so-called exclusiva, even under the guise of a simple desire, or to reveal such either to the entire electoral body assembled together or to individual electors, in writing or by word of mouth, either directly and personally or indirectly and through others, both before the election begins and for its duration. I intend this prohibition to include all possible forms of interference, opposition and suggestion whereby secular authorities of whatever order and degree, or any individual or group, might attempt to exercise influence on the election of the Pope.(Source:  Universi Dominici Gregis, 80)As said at the outset in Part I, Roma Locuta Est‘s primary interest in the curious events surrounding the conclave has been primarily historical. However, enough important questions have been raised for “good guy” Cardinals to form an informal “commission” of sorts to actively collect these and additional facts, as well as testimony. For starters, such a “commission” might demand to speak with Theodore McCarrick; asking him the questions the McCarrick Report investigators did not about the conclave of 2013 (see Glaring Omission in McCarrick Report: What about the “Influential Italian Gentleman?”). While overturning a papal election with proofs of grave UDG violations may be a tall order, if not an impossible one to fill; these questions must be looked into and adjudicated. At a minimum, if nothing else, a closer look at the events surrounding the 2013 conclave is necessary to both ensure and be on guard against any such shenanigans in the future — so that they do not influence a future conclave, such as the next one.At this moment, certainly, we don’t have the proverbial “smoking gun.” Yet, there may be someone or ‘someones’ out there who do, or who know where the (also) proverbial “bodies are buried” — or who can just simply provide additional pieces of the puzzle. [2] The Pontificate of Pope Francis has subsequently called into question its own legitimacy on a multitude of occasions. I watched the six-time Oscar-winning movie, A Man for All Seasons, again, the other night, and I was reminded of how the issues of times gone by are still the issues we are confronted with today. The issues may be dressed up differently, but they are the same; basic human and civil rights. In this case, freedom of speech was on trial which also included freedom not to speak.
The movie is set in 16th century England, legal scholar Sir Thomas More is pressured by King Henry VIII to approve his illegal divorce and subsequent remarriage to Anne Boleyn. Thomas More refuses to publicly affirm the King’s plans because they went against his religious principles, and also violated the laws of England. More never publicly objects nor does he prevent the King from divorcing his wife and remarrying, he simply won’t endorse those actions. In an effort to compel More’s public consent, the King requires every official to take an oath legitimizing his illegal actions, or be charged with treason. More refuses, and is put on trial. As opposed to offering facts and reason to persuade More to change his mind, the King uses intimidation and force. To his credit, More stays true to his beliefs, yet ultimately suffers fatal consequences.
In 21st century America, not only can’t we publicly contradict the left-wing orthodoxy, we must publicly affirm it. We are compelled to say certain words, use state-mandated pronouns, verbally affirm an ideology we do not believe, approve behaviors that go against our conscience, or we will be canceled. In More’s trial, the question arose to the meaning of More’s silence; does silence mean consent or dissent? The court ruled that silence equals dissent, and More was convicted of treason. Today, we are told, “silence is violence”. No one is immune, whether you are a celebrity, college professor, teacher, Christian store owner, or pastor, you must agree with the liberal social ideology or you will face down the mob.
In the 1954 Oscar winner, On the Waterfront, the message was the opposite, you must stay silent. Silence is good. If you talked, if you ratted out organized crime on the docks, the mobsters would kill you. So, to save themselves, everyone on the docks was “D and D” meaning, “deaf and dumb”. The dockworkers knew very clearly, if they talked, they would be killed.
Marlon Brando’s character, Terry Malloy, has his own crisis of conscience when he unwittingly sets up a fellow dockworker to be killed because the dockworker was about to testify against the crime boss. Brando’s conscience eats at him to the point that he considers testifying against the mob about the murder. When pressured by his brother to keep silent, Brando sums his years of silence, “I’ve been ratting on myself all these years.” He realized that staying silent, allowing the crime to persist around him to save himself actually hurt him and the other dockworkers more than it helped them. 
This past week in Minneapolis, a witness for the defense in the Derek Chauvin trial had his home vandalized. It was splattered with pig blood and a severed pig head left outside the door, a not-so-subtle message of what will happen to anyone who goes against the accepted narrative. Truth did not matter. Not unlike King Henry and the crime bosses, they used fear and intimidation to get to compel or suppress the speech they want.
California congresswoman, Maxine Waters, was very clear about the consequences if the verdict came back as not guilty. Waters told a mob in Minneapolis that if Chauvin was not found “guilty, guilty, guilty… We gotta stay on the streets…We’ve gotta get more confrontational. We’ve got to make sure that they know that we mean business.” The message was clear, return a guilty verdict or else. The verdict that was read yesterday may very well be the correct one, but we will never know because these past two weeks, the jurors were not unbiasedly deciding whether Derek Chauvin was guilty or not guilty, they were deciding whether they wanted their houses firebombed or not. 
The recent threats of packing the Supreme Court by the Democrats is a veiled threat to the 9 existing members of the court, if you do not rule the way we want, we will pack the court, dilute your authority, and turn your court into an arm of the legislature. The message was clear, and either consciously or subconsciously, each Justice will be considering these other external consequences to their decisions beyond Constitutional fidelity. 
Every step of the way, the far left is using any means necessary to circumvent the processes of government, corrupt the system, and create their desired result through pressure, threat, compulsion, and intimidation. Every one of our rights is in jeopardy. Speech is only free if it’s free of compulsion or threats. Courts are only fair and unbiased if the judges and jurors are free from pressure and intimidation. Sadly, too many of our leaders choose political expediency over foundational principles.
Prior to his trial, one of Thomas More’s close friends, the Duke of Norfolk tried to convince him to go against his conscience, and take the oath like everyone else. He told More, “Thomas, look at those names. … You know those men! Can’t you do what I did, and come with us, for fellowship?” More replied, “And when we stand before God, and you are sent to Paradise for doing according to your conscience, and I am damned for not doing according to mine, will you come with me – for fellowship?”
Thomas More was executed because he stayed true to his beliefs and listened to his conscience. He refused to sacrifice his soul to save himself. Unfortunately, we are confronted with a similar dilemma; we are continually threatened to go against our beliefs, defy our conscience, and go along with the state-sponsored narrative, or be canceled, lose our jobs, sacrifice our livelihoods. This is the price of freedom, the cost of conscience. But as Thomas More knew, the price of going against your conscience, defying your beliefs, is far more profound and eternal, than going against the mob. So, when confronted with these types of decisions, it’s best to follow Shakespeare’s advice, “To thine own self be true.”
