Slow clap everybody. Great move Michael. Now you’ve upset another group of people in Corpus Christi with the last Latin Mass on Easter Sunday. Way to go.
Everyone knows that the only hot ticket in town is the Latin Mass community at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Like all the other Latin Mass communities around the country, the place is packed with young families with kids everywhere.
Every other parish in town is old, dead, insipid, ridiculous, childless, and falling apart.
You could have simply ignored the Argentinian dictator in Rome and let these people have Mass the way they prefer. What, is someone from Rome going to check on what is going on? Really?
Speaking of the Argentinian dictator, look at these recent pictures from Rome.
The official narrative is that Jorgito is feeling much better and that he is recovering from his recent hospital stay. Really?
An objective look at these pictures will tell you that Jorgito (that’s what he has his close associates call him) does not have much time left. Look how big he has gotten. You see, folks, that’s not just pasta.

A Sign of HopeWorld Gone Bycharliej373Mar 31By Charlie JohnstonSorry I have been slow at posting. After over six months on the road I have been running on fumes. Between meetings and events I have had to shepherd my strength to be solid for the meetings and events. I get home this weekend for a desperately needed deep rest – and to conceptualize some major projects, both for CORAC and independently. I was intending to put up a repeat post today as something of a placeholder until I got home. But events dictated otherwise. Instead, you get the following…So newly-elected Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg has gone ahead and indicted President Donald Trump. What is really bizarre is the supposed crime Trump is accused of. Trump is being accused of listing a $130,000 payout for a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) as a ‘legal’ rather than ‘campaign’ expense. I am not making this up. That is the accusation from a Soros DA who releases violent criminals at such a rate that violent crime has been spiking ever higher ever since he was elected. But the city will be protected from desperado accountants and their clients, I suppose. For two weeks it was anyone’s guess whether Bragg would actually do it. Some said this has been such a humiliation that he would try to slink quietly away. But when have you seen a rabid Dem exercise any prudence or restraint this last decade and a half, even when the obvious outcome will be to immolate themselves? The media and leftist officials were tingling with excitement at the outset, certain that this news would bring massive protests out so they could do J6 all over again. Shoot, they almost certainly had the Antifa and FBI infiltrators all dressed and ready to go to provoke things. Alas for the left, conservatives didn’t take the bait. I was a bit irritated at all the commentators who told people not to protest. After all, if we unilaterally abdicate our right to protest while Antifa and BLM can continue to merrily go committing arson and mayhem, hasn’t the left already won? Then again, the left encourages their paramilitary brownshirts to commit mayhem and releases them almost as quickly as any are arrested. Meantime, we can’t be safe even if we are as polite as attendants at an English tea – because those same malicious leftists who excuse any mayhem coming from their allies also have shills lined up to infiltrate our events and provoke crisis whatever we do. We get arrested, the shills get turned loose to instigate another day. As irritating as it is to me, the commentators’ advice is largely sound. The left is interpreting the lack of large-scale protests as a sign that we are in retreat. Though I doubt Trump will be convicted of anything from this dumpster fire of an indictment, it HAS changed things dramatically. Activists have convinced the largest new portion of ordinary people yet that the left cannot be bargained or reasoned with; that they will never stop assaulting ordinary people with malignant viciousness until they ARE stopped. The 17th Century English poet, John Dryden, warned aggressors and tyrants to, “beware the fury of a patient man.” The patient man approaches an offense by seeking to reason, to negotiate, to compromise. When he reaches the moment when he knows none of this will avail, he is filled with a fury that explodes into action – and then the tyrants are felled. The best that aggressors can hope for after this metastatic moment is that the patient man dismisses them as irrelevancies. The justice system is no longer – folded, spindled and mutilated into a means of targeting dissenters from the regime. The medical system is fallen, doing at least as much damage to people’s health as good. Education is in the tank, providing the means of enabling misery of all sorts – not the least of which is advocating for the sexualization and mutilation of young children. Those the left can’t get with abortion they’ll get with ‘gender-affirming care.’ Public officials, from the lowest village board member up to the chief executive, believe they have a license to rule rather than a duty to serve. Oppose any of this insanity and you are styled as a bigot, racist, or domestic terrorist. Commit actual violence advocating for any of this and you are a ‘social justice warrior.’In Nashville on Monday, a woman celebrated the much vaunted Transgender Day of Vengeance early by murdering six people, including three children, at a Christian school. The woman was pretending to be a man and, apparently, was enraged that people around her weren’t all willing to pretend along with her. Now trans activists have stormed the capitols of Tennessee and Kentucky, threatening legislators who refused to allow them to continue to groom and mutilate children. And the establishment media trumpets that the trans community is under attack. No, you idiots, they are the attackers. The Nazis, after murdering groups of Jews or Gypsies or whoever the enemy of the day was, often said that the murdered had been attacking them. Like their emotional leftist heirs in America, committed Nazis considered anything other than abject fealty to be an “attack.”There will be dire consequences to all this. The best chance to avoid civil war now is for the free states to vigorously adopt nullification statutes, declaring themselves “Constitutional Sanctuary States.” They must refuse to accept counter-Constitutional edicts from the federal government and bar federal law enforcement and regulatory bureaucrats from operating in their states. I have heard some suggesting that red states should start criminally indicting Democrats in their states. While delicious, I suspect that enhances, rather than reduces, the threat of open and violent civil war. Truth be told, I don’t think even the reddest of states will produce the resolve to take their power back from a federal beast grown feral. What I expect is a summer of growing violence, greater even than in the 60’s, followed by open civil war. The rest of the world is, of course, watching and will take advantage of it all to mount their own depredations without fear of us. On Dec. 14, 2020, just a few days after the Supreme Court refused to investigate the massive irregularities in the 2020 election, I wrote what I considered to be the obituary for America. I am not happy about it, but I was absolutely right then about what the consequences of this steal and ascendant leftism would be. Please read it again almost two and a half years later.People often ask me what I think the flash point triggering collapse will be. With the winds of war sweeping across the globe like a hurricane, more division in America than there was in the run-up to the first Civil War, our currency more degraded each day and China making a determined effort to tank it and take over as the world’s default currency, I have always answered that it doesn’t matter. We have become like a football field with mines laid every square foot: once one of them goes up, all of them will. But I am coming to think the latest Oscar-winning movie was prophetic in its title, if nothing else: “Everything, Everywhere, All at Once.”I appeal to you, if you have not yet joined CORAC, do so now. There are many organizations trying futilely to fight back under old rules. We fight, but our focus has been on building the new society right now even as the old society is visibly collapsing around us. We are not looking for people who are just eager to listen to someone turn a pretty phrase (though I have been known to turn one now and again), but people who are ready to work together, to put their shoulders to the plow. We want people who are not just mesmerized by the fall of the city of man, but are committed to working together now to build anew the City of God. There is no fee to join – except for the sweat equity you are willing to provide. After being very ugly, indeed, for well over a decade, things are about to get a LOT uglier. Some posit that this is the beginning of the end of all things. I have said from the beginning that these are the birthing pangs of God renewing the faith and face of the earth. You can take that to the bank (well, you’ll actually need a safer repository than that during these times). God has work for each and every one of you if you will accept it. You are the crew He wants to rebuild the City of God and become heralds of the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart. Join us now. Don’t just curse the growing darkness. Carry the light of Christ far and wide throughout the world, so that all who encounter you will find new hope, new joy and new resolve in working together under God. Do it now and your grandchildren, on down to the tenth generation, will call you blessed.I miss the America I grew up in, a place where liberty and justice for all was a sacred commitment, not just weasel words to justify a power grab. But we must make the world anew. For that America, whatever nostalgic affection we have for it, is part of a world gone by.If communication goes out for any length of time, meet outside your local Church at 9 a.m. on Saturday mornings. Thanks to the extremely dubious leadership of the Biden Administration, Iran, and China have become more empowered and emboldened than ever. The Chinese Communist Party and the ruling Islamist mullahs of Iran have been conveniently violating US sanctions without facing any consequences from the Biden administration.
Since the Biden administration assumed office, here are a few of the critical developments: First, China rose to be a leading player in the Middle East. Beijing recently brokered an agreement between two of its major oil suppliers: Iran and Saudi Arabia. According to Deutsche Welle:
“China has cultivated strong economic and political ties with both Riyadh and Tehran in recent years. Saudi Arabia is China’s largest oil supplier, with trade between the two countries amounting to $87 billion (€81 billion) in 2021. Commerce between Iran and China, meanwhile, was worth more than $16 billion in the same year, with Tehran depending on the Asian giant for as much as 30% of its foreign trade.”
It should be noted that in 2019 and 2020, Iran’s oil exports decreased to fewer than 200,000 barrels a day, representing a decline of roughly 90%. This shift took place after the Trump administration decided not to extend its waiver for Iran’s eight biggest oil buyers: China, India, Greece, Italy, Taiwan, Japan, Turkey, and South Korea. In 2021, however, immediately after the Biden administration took office, China ramped up its oil imports from Iran, increasing them from 200,000 a day to nearly one million barrels a day. In other words, Iran is exporting approximately five times more oil than at its nadir in 2019 and 2020.
Central Asian countries are also continuing to trade with Iran. The sale of oil accounts for more than 80% of Iran’s export revenues, therefore the regime relies heavily on oil exports.
China also signed a 25-year strategic partnership deal with Iran; presently the agreement is in its early stages of implementation. According to it, China will continue to import oil from Iran despite US sanctions. According to the Tehran Times:
“For his part, the Chinese foreign minister approved of his Iranian counterpart’s views expounded in his op-ed published in China’s Global Times. Wang said the Iranian foreign minister’s views show the promising horizon in relations between Tehran and Beijing. The top Chinese diplomat underlined his country’s readiness to expand cooperation with Iran in financing, energy, banking, and cultural sectors despite… sanctions…”
The deal grants China significant rights over Iran’s resources and helps Iran in increasing its oil and gas production. Leaked information revealed that one of the terms is that China will be investing nearly $400 billion in Iran’s oil, gas, and petrochemical industries. In return, China will get priority to bid on any new project in Iran that is linked to these sectors.
China will also be able to pay in any currency it chooses.
The growing partnership between China and Iran is not only going to assist the Iranian regime to skirt US sanctions; it also enables the ruling mullahs to gain access to funds, empower its militia and terror groups in countries around the region and continue advancing its race towards nuclear weapons.
During the Biden Administration, the power of both Iran and China will continue to grow. “Biden is a complete joke concerning foreign policy,” U.S. Senator Rick Scott pointed out.
“Biden would rather have ice cream with somebody than stand up for Americans… It’s a disaster. I mean, Biden’s a clown. Biden’s never been a serious person. He’s just a talker. Talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, that’s all he’s ever done.”
Scott also cited former President Barack Obama’s reported warning: “Don’t underestimate Joe’s ability to fuck things up.”
The Biden administration’s failure to lead is effectively handing the US over to China, Russia, and Iran on a platter, actively creating a new world order with China at the top and the US potentially wherever China wants.
Where is our commitment to a “Manhattan Project” to strengthen our defense? Why is the requested defense budget for 2024 only 3.2% higher than the 2023 budget? This means in real terms, factoring in the current inflation of 6%, that the current defense budget is a cut. Worse, it comes in below the budget increases planned for the Environmental Protection Agency (19%), Department of the Interior (12%), and Department of Veterans Affairs (5.4%). In 2022, US defense spending as a percentage of GDP was 3.1%, compared to the 8% of GDP it was in 1970.
Thanks to the monumental serial ineptitude of the Biden Administration, China’s President Xi Jinping, backed by his troika of oil suppliers — Russia, Saudi Arabia, and Iran — doubtless feels on the verge of fulfilling his fondest dream: Displacing the US as the world’s leading superpower. The saddest part is that the reason is us: Why are we deliberately not protecting our Republic?

I hadn’t intended on writing again today, but I feel compelled to. In the past 24 hours, I have heard a number of people use the word “demonic” to describe what’s happening in America, with the Nashville shooting — even people who don’t normally talk like that. This week, it seems that something snapped within some people who have avoided drawing unpleasant conclusions about transgenderism and our country. It’s as if this was a Satanic theophany: a showing forth of the enemy of humanity. People rightly sense that there’s something more going on here than a mass shooting, as evil as that is. I do not want the moment to pass without us all seeing things as clearly as we can. We are all in the process of being massively gaslighted.
The pink demon and his cohorts were in the Kentucky statehouse protesting the GOP-controlled legislature overriding the Democratic governor’s veto of its transgender bill, the features of which PBS describes as such:
The sweeping Kentucky measure would ban gender-affirming care for minors. It would outlaw gender reassignment surgery for anyone under 18, as well as the use of puberty blockers and hormones, and inpatient and outpatient gender-affirming hospital services.
Doctors would have to set a timeline to “detransition” children already taking puberty blockers or undergoing hormone therapy. They could continue offering care as they taper a youngster’s treatments, if removing them from the treatment immediately could harm the child.
Transgender medical treatments have long been available in the United States and are endorsed by major medical associations.
The bill would not allow schools to discuss sexual orientation or gender identity with students of any age. It would also require school districts to devise bathroom policies that, “at a minimum,” would not allow transgender children to use the bathroom aligned with their gender identities.
It would further allow teachers to refuse to refer to transgender students by the pronouns they use.
PBS began its account like this, predictably:
In the midst of transgender-rights advocates rallying outside Kentucky’s Capitol, trans teenager Sun Pacyga held up a sign Wednesday summing up a grim review of Republican legislation aimed at banning access to gender-affirming health care. The sign read: “Our blood is on your hands.”
“If it passes, the restricted access to gender-affirming health care, I think trans kids will die because of that,” the 17-year-old student said, expressing a persistent concern among the bill’s critics that the restrictions could lead to an increase in teen suicides.
Listen to me: this has been the strategy of LGBT advocates for more than twenty years now: convince the normies that if they don’t give the activists what they want, that they will have blood on their hands. At the turn of the century, activists convinced schools that in order to combat bullying — a worthy endeavor — they had to teach gay ideology. You might have thought, “Really? Why isn’t it enough to teach that bullying is wrong, and to punish bullies?” The question itself reveals the real motivation behind the campaign.
And now they’re doing the same kind of blackmail. Thank God Republican lawmakers aren’t intimidated by this howling at the moon.
As of this writing, Nashville police still haven’t released mass murderer Audrey Hale’s manifesto. I agree with Princeton’s Robbie George:
It is possible that some specifics in the manifesto are legitimately not the public’s business, or reasonably could spark copycat killings. If so, police should show it to independent journalists who can be trusted to report its contents with discretion. We don’t need titillating details. We need to know why the transgendered Hale did what she did, so we can figure out what to do to prevent such evil deeds in the future. Was Hale’s murder spree a political act? The police know. Why won’t they tell us?
It was predictable that the national media would ignore or downplay the lethal violence done to Christians and play up the possibility that someone, somewhere, might think badly of trans people because of the Hale massacre. After all, since 9/11, we’ve had plenty of examples of the national media reacting to major Islamic terror attacks by rushing to local mosques for sympathetic pieces about how innocent Muslims are also the victims of terror.
Still, it has been jaw-dropping, even for cynics like me, to see how hysterically the media have been true to form in taking the side of trans people, and lashing out at anyone who links Hale’s terrorism with her transgenderism (did you know, by the way, that three shooters in the past year have been genderqueer?). I think it’s completely wrong to blame all trans people for what Audrey Hale did, though it is important to discover if testosterone played a role in her act, and to what extent having been radicalized by violent online trans rhetoric motivated her.
I’m talking about rhetoric like this, from a male former soldier who now identifies as a Communist and a trans woman:
“Genocide” is one of the most evil words in the English language. There is no trans genocide, and nothing even remotely close, except in the fevered imaginations of people who project their desire to kill onto others. These lunatic activists wind themselves and their trans brethren and sistren up into an apocalyptic frenzy. If you really believe that They Are Coming After You, wouldn’t you be tempted to react violently? I mean, look, in Washington DC this week, this event is planned:
They’re going through with this even though Nashville happened. Will the FBI be watching them for potential advocacy of domestic terrorism? Incidentally, a tenured professor at Wayne State University has been suspended after writing on Facebook that it’s much better to kill right-wing speakers, including “transphobes,” than to silence them (his actual words: “far more admirable to kill a racist, homophobic, or transphobic speaker than it is to shout them down”).
Our media, however, seem to be following this strategy:
1. ignore the possibility that Hale’s transness had anything to do with her murders (admittedly, this is easier to do given the silence of the Nashville PD regarding the manifesto)
Ignore the fear that Christians and others (e.g., Posie Parker, physically attacked in New Zealand) who oppose trans ideology now have of trans violence
Guns! Guns! Republicans and Guns!
Focus on the suffering of transpeople as Republicans Pounce™, e.g., this from the Washington Post:How many stories have you seen in the mainstream media about the fear Christians and conservatives have about being the victims of violence by trans activists seeking vengeance? If the media’s reaction to the killing of Christians, including Christian children, by a transperson doesn’t tell you how much the media despise us, I don’t know what will open your eyes. By the time the Washington Post and the others are done with it, Audrey Hale will have been turned into the Pavlik Morozovof the trans rights movement. (Morozov was the Russian boy lionized by the Soviet state in its untrue propaganda for turning his father in to the police, and in turn being killed by his angry family.)
“An example of the calibre of counsellors who decide if a 12-year-old comes home from school is Kenna Cook, who has access to the kids at Davis Unified [School District]. She held a BDSM group called Slaps Giving; she authored blogs: ‘How to be a better butt slut’.”
“Twelve is the age that California can steal the rights of parents and hand over mental health decisions to a child, or worse, a pervert,” Friday concluded.
Kenna Cook is described in a Facebook post as a “pansexual, kink and polyamory-friendly, fierce femme and sex-positive parent.” She is also a community health worker and sex-ed teacher for CommuniCare Health Centers, which offers “affirming services for Yolo County’s LGBTQ+ community.” One such service is the Free Binder Project, promoted to girls aged 12-26 in the Yolo County region. Adolescent girls seeking to flatten their chests using one of the dangerous chest compression devicesprovided by the service are assured that the binder will be “mailed discreetly” to their home or a safe location for pick up.
This is the kind of person that State of California might authorize to seize children without parental consent. The language of the bill removes existing California law’s requirement that in order to received mental health treatment or enter a shelter, “the minor must present a danger of serious physical or mental harm to themselves or to others, or be the alleged victim of incest or child abuse.” If this bill passes, all the minor will need is a therapist to sign off on it — without parental notification or consent.
They really are coming for our children! This is not hyperbole. If this becomes law, your California child or adolescent may be propagandized to believe he or she is genderqueer, and if you refuse to affirm, the state could take your kid away on a therapist’s say-so. The potential for abuse is staggering. Yet this is what the trans community and its allies demand in California — and it certainly will not stop in California.
Do you see what’s happening here? The Machine is working to alienate young people from their bodies, and to mutilate their organs of generation, and even to steal children from their parents for same. The media are gaslighting the public about the trans phenomenon, even when it might clearly be tied to a mass shooting of Christian children.
And there is this; don’t worry, the private parts have been blurred in the video:
It’s all about desensitizing children to sex, obviously. This is why the reporting on LGBT books forcibly taken out of school libraries deliberately ignores the visual details of what’s in many of these children’s books — including drawings of oral and anal sex.
If you could transport yourself back in time to 2003, and tell Americans what the future was going to hold for them and their families if they embraced the LGBT movement, would they have been so eager and so naive? I appreciate gays and lesbians who speak out against the trans insanity, saying there is nothing about supporting homosexuals that requires you to support transgenders. But sorry, that ship sailed a long time ago, with transgenders on board. The logic used to sell Americans on affirming homosexuality — the logic of bodily and sexual autonomy, and personal feelings trumping any other consideration — has also been used to justify affirming transgenderism. The philosopher Edward Feser quipped the other day that watching a leading gay commentator objecting to trans extremism is like listening to the Mensheviks complain that the more extremist Bolsheviks are rushing through the door that the Mensheviks helped to open.
You might hate the culture war, but it has come to you whether you like it or not. In my hometown this past week, a slim majority of the congregation of the United Methodist church, in which I grew up, voted to disaffiliate from the denomination over the national church’s affirmation of homosexuality. But the breakaways did not achieve the two-thirds majority needed to formally leave, so the local congregation will remain with the United Methodists, and governed by the progressive minority that captured the local church. I am told that some people are already leaving the local congregation. I can imagine that there will be friendships broken that might never heal. And I suspect that within a year or two, there will be gay weddings in the Methodist church of this small, conservative Southern town.
It’s a small thing, maybe, but it goes to show you that there is no place to hide. You have to take a stand. In Kentucky, Tennessee, and other states, Republican lawmakers have finally realized that the trans madness will destroy more and more young lives unless they act against it, despite the threats of trans berserkers and their media allies. Good. Parents in California and more liberal states are probably in a politically and culturally hopeless situation. At least other states can be sanctuaries for them.
Still, do not think that there is a geographical cure for all this. The pro-trans, genderqueer propaganda knows no state or national borders. A reader sent me this flyer from a college in Shepherdstown, West Virginia, an 18th-century village which, with a population of 1,500, is smaller even than my Louisiana hometown:
The United States is in moral meltdown. There really is something demonic about what’s intensifying with each passing day. Nice, normal liberal, moderate, and conservative people don’t want to argue, but the activists, the domestic terrorists, the media, the medical industry, and the Democratic Party do not give you a choice.
If you are a pastor, and you are not telling your congregation what’s going on, and preparing them for resistance, why not? Do you really think this evil is going to pass you by if you all just sit tight and keep your heads down? How about you parents? Do you think that ignoring it and allowing the culture to morally instruct your kids is going to work out well for them?
This is not a war we started, but it’s a war that is going to finish us if we do not defend ourselves successfully, using all peaceful means necessary. Understand that the battle is not just in state legislatures, but in the hearts and minds of all Americans. Last night I was at a reception in Budapest talking to Chris Rufo, who is over here for a month, and we both agreed that most American conservatives are not yet awake to the full dimensions of the crisis upon us, and therefore not ready to act decisively and effectively to defend their families, their institutions, and their liberties. Rufo is working hard to change that, and is over here for the next few weeks learning from conservative Hungarians, who are fighting back harder and better than we are. Rufo wrote on his Substack today:
The philosopher Leo Strauss once wrote that nations that win on the battlefield often absorb the ideological yoke of the foes they defeated. This is true. The Hungarians have been stamped forever by the brutal hand of communism. But Americans, too, have unconsciously absorbed some of the features of our old enemies in the Soviet Union. American conservatives, in particular, did not adapt to these conditions, preaching the gospel of limited government while presiding over the creation of a massive state bureaucracy.
The twenty-first century is beginning to take shape. We should be willing to learn from anyone who has wisdom from the past and an instinct for the future.
He’s right. If we don’t learn how to resist like the Hungarians are doing, we American conservatives — religious and cultural alike — won’t have a future. Go back up and look at the pink demon howling at the Kentucky legislators. That is what the enemy looks and sounds like. He knows what kind of future he wants for America, and is willing to raise hell to get it. Do you? Do you get it? There are none so blind as those who refuse to see.
Posted inUncategorized|Comments Off on THERE ARE NONE SO BLIND AS THOSE WHO REFUSE TO SEE WHAT IS REALLY IN FRONT OF THEM
Second post of the day, but today’s a big news day. It won’t count toward y’all’s paid allotment, I promise.
Did you know that this week will see a planned Transgender Day Of Vengeance? This was set before the tranny shot up a Christian elementary school and killed three children and three staffers. I think America has had about enough vengeance from trans people. Wesley Yang, as usual, speaks truth:
But before we go any further, I want to focus on the one moment of heroic virtue, standing up to this evil. It’s the men of the Nashville Police Department. Here is bodycam footage from two of the responders. It’s violent. You will not see the face of the killer Audrey Hale, but you will see her body if you watch till the end. If you can bear it, I suggest you do watch it, because you will see something iconic: Real Men, whose masculinity has been purified and made its best possible version by virtue, running towards gunfire to take out a child murderer who incarnated a fraudulent, twisted, demonic version of masculinity:
Thank God for these MEN. I mean that literally. I don’t think I’ve ever felt more grateful for men behaving like honest-go-God men since contemplating members of the FDNY in the shadow of 9/11. Men who run toward danger, to save lives. Not Andrew Tate macho phonies, and not vagina-havers on testosterone. Men.
Something snapped in me watching this clip, knowing that the killer they took down was a transgendered person. I do not for one second believe that all transgenders are like Audrey Hale, but I am beyond sick and tired of a decadent culture that valorizes its Audrey Hales, and treats men like the Nashville PD officers as “toxic,” or potential racist killers, or white supremacists. I’ve had it with this garbage. Yes, I’ve been writing against it for years, but there’s something about knowing that Hale shot dead little Christian children in an church school, and three of their caretakers, for reasons related to her trans fantasies, that makes me see more clearly than ever what enemies of the true and the good this phenomenon is.
And its allies, like President Joe Biden, who thinks it’s “immoral” to restrict sex-change hormones and surgeries for children, and Minnesota Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan, pictured here:
I have been waiting all day for the Nashville Police Department to make Hale’s “manifesto” public, but we’re past midnight here in central Europe, and it hasn’t happened. I hope it does. Unsurprisingly, gay groups don’t want it made public, because it stands to upend the preferred Narrative. Quote:
“It should not be published,” Jordan Budd, the executive director of Children of Lesbians and Gays Everywhere (COLAGE), told Newsweek. “The focus should be on how this was able to happen in the first place. There should not be such easy access to deadly weaponry.”
To hell with this guy. I have every expectation that the mainstream media will work hard to downplay or hide the full story, because it stands to hurt one of their favorite narratives, and sacred causes. Not this time, you liars. We need the truth, not some story concocted to protect bad people from judgment. What I want to know is whether or not this act of terrorism was carried out as hatred for Christians. What I want to know is whether or not Audrey Hale was on testosterone. It has been reported by a number of female-to-male trans people that learning to deal with the aggression that testosterone provokes within the body is one of the more difficult things about starting the hormone. This hormone that we give to children and young adults, as part of “gender-affirming care.”
This had better be the start, at last, of an honest public conversation about transgenderism, instead of the highly managed one we’ve had this past decade. How long will people allow themselves to be gaslighted? How long will we allow these activists and their allies to come after our children? It’s not going to stop until and unless we make it stop. You know this, right?
The men of the Nashville PD had the guts to go forward against this deranged enemy targeting children, even at the risk of their lives. Nobody’s asking any of us to risk our lives. Why won’t we go forward to defend children? What are we afraid of? That somebody, somewhere, is going to call us bigots?

The most recent shout-down debacle at Stanford’s law school, one of many such recent sordid episodes, prompts the question: “Who owns our universities?”
The law students who are in residence for three years apparently assume they embody the university. And so, they believe they represent and speak for a score of diverse Stanford interests when they shout down federal Judge Kyle Duncan as if he were an intruder into their own woke private domain.
After all, Stanford, like most Ivy League universities, is a private institution. Are then its board of trustees, its faculty, its students, and its administration de facto overseers and owners?
Not really.
In the case of public institutions of higher learning, there is no controversy: The people own the university and, through their elected representatives, pay for and approve its entire budget. Again, through their selected regents and overseers, the taxpayers adjudicate the laws of these universities.
But private universities, while different, are not really so different.
Take again Stanford as a typical example. It receives about $1.5 billion per year in federal taxpayer grants alone to its various faculty, labs, research centers, and programs.
Its annual budget exceeds $8 billion. If Stanford accepts such huge federal and state direct largess, do the taxpayers who provide it have some say about how and under what conditions their recipients use their money?
Second, the university also has accumulated a $36 billion endowment. At normal annual investment returns, such an enormous fund may earn well over $2 billion a year. That income is almost all tax-free, based on the principle that Stanford is a nonprofit, apolitical institution.
But is it?
One could imagine what would have happened had, say, a radical abortion proponent been shouted down at Stanford Law School. Further, conceive that conservative law students had called her scum and wished for her daughters to be raped. Envision obscene placards flashing in her face—before she was stopped speaking entirely by a conservative Stanford dean who hijacked her talk, and informed the pro-abortion speaker that she more or less asked for such a mob reception. The perpetrators, we know, would have been expelled from the law school within 24 hours, and the dean fired in 12. And, alternately, had the architects of this real, vile demonstration faced an open hearing, where evidence of the event was presented, and had been found guilty of violating university policy, and then had been expelled and ostracized from the law school, even after much chest-thumping and performance-art braggadocio, it is unlikely the debacle would be repeated.
Third, the federal government through subsidies and guarantees is liable for over $1.6 trillion in aggregate student loans. Thousands of Stanford undergraduates and graduates are among those indebted, and could not attend the university without such taxpayer largess.
To take a hypothetical, if some 16,000 undergraduate and Stanford graduate students carried on average $20,000 in federally backed student loans, the Stanford student community could be carrying a third of a billion dollars in federal loan guarantees.
In other words, the private universities in the United States are really not so private at all. They rely on billions of dollars in federal and state research subsidies and grants; billions of dollars in tax-exempt annual income from their endowments; and hundreds of billions of dollars in federally backed student loans that allow them to charge exorbitant tuition at above the annual inflation rate from leveraged and indebted students.
Given those huge public investments, should not the public have some say in how these universities are run?
After all, Stanford, and thousands of private universities like it, are not Hillsdale College. Hillsdale long ago lost trust in federal and state government due to their efforts to use their partial funding as a means of politically leveraging the college. And therefore, it has refused all public monies ever since.
Left-wing major colleges or universities have not done the same because they rightly assume the federal government shares their commitment to radical progressive change. And thus, Washington gives them free rein to discriminate in admission, housing, and hiring, as well as to suspend constitutional protections for faculty and staff—if in service to progressive-regressive agendas.
But that was then, and this is now. If Stanford’s sordid law school psychodrama taught us anything, it was that the law school mob felt they could threaten, smear, scream, disrupt, and shut down a public speaker, and do so with complete impunity. And they were right on all counts.
But if the public “owns” much of private universities given the colossal amount of money it provides them, could the public, at last, insist that all colleges, public and private, simply abide by the laws of the land?
That adherence would mean universities, to continue their taxpayer revenue streams, would pledge not to discriminate in their hiring and admissions based on race, gender, or sexual orientation. That public insistence would prompt revolutionary changes on campus.
Stanford, for example, laudably recently deplored its past antisemitic admissions practices of the 1950s that deliberately restricted the number of Jews who qualified for admission. The university had institutionalized discrimination on the logic it did not want too many Jews on campus, as part of its social engineering to achieve the “correct” student body. Amid its current apologies, Stanford added that in the 1950s it had not been transparent in its warped discriminatory admissions but had either denied or sought to hide its bias.
Amid its apologies for past discrimination, the university has announced that its incoming class of 2026 includes 22 percent described as “white.” Yet that percentage (remember the university, not we, the public, is obsessed with categorizing people by race), is less than a third of the percentage of so-called whites in the general public.
Has this particular group suddenly suffered collectively an epidemic of low grades, poor test scores (on now optional tests for admission), or poor community service and extracurricular activities?
Would that decline explain why it is so suddenly and vastly “underrepresented”?
Surely a university currently and loudly apologizing for its past ethnic, racial, and religious discrimination against Jews would not simultaneously, but quietly, begin doing nearly the exact thing some 70 years later?
For that matter, since when do universities, public or private, deliberately warp the spirit of the 1964 Civil Rights Act by institutionalizing racially separate graduation ceremonies, racially segregated dorms (“theme houses”), and safe spaces?
All the legalese universities employ to skirt both state law and federal statutes prohibiting segregation and discrimination—and it is a multi-billion industry—cannot hide the fact that in many ways campuses are emulating the spirit and practice of the Old Confederacy and postbellum Jim Crow South, according to the infamous “1/16” or the “one-drop” rule, to adjudicate hiring and admission, and the apartheid practice of directing particular races to “separate but equal” housing.
Should not private universities also pledge to follow the Bill of Rights and provide constitutional protections for their university community?
That would mean if a university could not guarantee the right for invited speakers to finish their lectures without being shouted down, physically intimidated, or met with obscene and pornographic slurs and placards, the university then would be liable to suspension of its federal funds.
Recently, Stanford admitted that it allowed a Stasi-like “snitch” program on campus in which anonymous complainers can lodge complaints against allegedly biased remarks by faculty, staff, or administrators. But is it not a hallmark of the U.S. legal system that the accused has a constitutional right to face his accuser?
In fact, most private universities suspend a great number of constitutional protections when their constituents are accused either of sexual harassment or insensitive speech. Students, especially, in campus hearings are not always allowed to meet their accusers, cross-examine accusations and evidence, or have legal counsel at all times.
Should the taxpayers not insist that campuses ensure their communities the same rights of due process, protection from double jeopardy, of rules of evidence, and cross-examination as enjoyed by the general public who funds them?
It is not just the American taxpayer who funds public and even private universities, but alumni and donors as well. The students who shouted down Judge Duncan as “scum” and hoped his daughters were raped are likely at Stanford with at least partial financial support. Many of those endowments are sustained by generous donors. And they too remain a part of the university community, along with faculty, administrators, and various boards of trustees.
The present radicalization of the campus is based on the egotistical assumption that transitory students own colleges. They believe, by their snobbery (one law student yelled at Judge Duncan that the judge couldn’t get into Stanford Law School) and ephemeral presence on a current campus, that they are the one and only “Yale,” or they are the real “Stanford.” Therefore, they believe they have the right to dictate to—or follow the whims of—their equally transitory radical administrators.
But for such a claim of ownership to be true, universities would have to self-fund, raise all their own research dollars, provide their own loans to their own students—and then announce that they have no need of all the generous donors who supplied their wherewithal, and all the vast majority of students who do not disrupt, slur, slander, smear, and resort to violence, but do pay their tuition bills and thereby also help ensure viable universities.
So, who owns American higher education?
Almost everyone who pays for this now peculiar institution—a fact that the current ungracious woke activists who are passing through colleges are too dense in their megalomania to grasp.
Posted inUncategorized|Comments Off on The megalomania of the current crop of students, faculty, and administrators at our radical universities blinds them to the claims of their generations of benefactors!
In October 1942, after losing over 7 million Soviet soldiers in some of the largest encirclements in history at Kyiv and Bryansk, Joseph Stalin finally suspended the active role of his once pet commissars, zealots, and snitches.
Previously the Kremlin had applied ideological litmus tests to all military promotions, rewards, punishments, and even matters even of tactics and strategy. Before the war, they had murdered thousands of gifted officers deemed ideologically impure and incorrect. The result was that Soviet ideology promoted mediocre yes-men and punished the talented. Stalin did not want to end the commissar system, but he understood by 1942 it was losing him the war against the Third Reich.
The subsequent effort to restore some meritocracy to the Red Army came just in time before the Eastern Front collapsed. By 1943–44 the new Red Army took the offensive.
Fortuitously for the then Allies, at the very time the Red Army Stalinists allowed merit to determine promotions and strategies, the embattled Nazis increasingly sacked their old Prussian Junker class of generals.
Instead, they now appointed “Hitler’s generals” to implement Hitlerian fantasies. These were mostly yes-men whose chief attribute was Nazi fanaticism. Almost all of Hitler’s most boneheaded decisions, the Falaise Gap disaster, Stalingrad, the Battle of the Bulge counter-offensive, and the misuse of jet fighters were in some way predicated on Nazi mythologies that Nazi generals followed Hitler’s stupid directives and superior Aryan Germans never retreated and always paid back twice what they suffered, regardless of the particular circumstances in which an army found itself. By 1945, again fortuitously for the Allies, all those gifted generals who had once given Hitler victories between 1939-42 — Guderian, Heinrici, von Kleist, von Kluge, von Leeb, von Manstein, Rommel, von Rundstedt, and von Witzleben had been either sacked, murdered, or only occasionally recalled.

The chief reason why contemporary China is an existential threat to the U.S. in a way Mao Zedong’s China was not, is because the Chinese Communist Party in the 1980s and 1990s began to prune away its revered Maoist commissars, the Red Guards, and other ideological police that hampered research, education, and development—by predicating everything from science to medicine on correct Maoist revolutionary expression. In cannibalistic fashion, the entire society crumbled as ideologues hunted down scientists, professors, engineers, and doctors as bourgeois enemies of the people.
To the degree Xi Jinping retains any of the Maoist commissariat, and to the degree the U.S. rejects its current woke madness, will determine whether America still enjoys global leadership.
So how odd that even hard-core communists in the past, to survive the Nazi war machine, or mass starvation, cast off their woke commissars as the problem rather than the solution. And how odder that a free democratic society, guided by republican government, has willingly emulated the failed policies junked as suicidal by our worst enemies.
The essence of woke, despite what its boosters say, is not diversity. If it was, the woke revolution would welcome all sorts of dissenting views to enrich its conversations. It is not about “equity,” but instead mandating equality of result, as determined by a few elite commissars using ideology to cover their own relentless drive for power, control, and self-aggrandizement. And it is not about inclusion but rather fixates on racial, ethnic, and gender exclusionary quotas to hire, retain, and promote Americans on their appearance and politics, rather than either the content of their character or their demonstrable expertise. The result is that campuses have never been angrier and more tense, and racially segregated.
Everything woke touches is destroyed by both acts of commission and omission. The current Left is spending its entire energy on targeting expertise and talent and has no time or desire to train the inner-city poor or the rural impoverished or the immigrant needy in the basics of language, science, history, and math to ensure they can become self-sustaining and independent citizens—the Left’s apparent worst nightmare.
The distracted U.S. military is spending billions of dollars to indoctrinate recruits in woke ideology. Officers who comply are promoted; those who object are often either stalled or released. For every woke indoctrination seminar, thousands of artillery shells, or tank maneuvers are shorted. For every woke promotion, there is a Patton or Nimitz passed over because of criteria that have nothing to do with leadership.
Part Two – March 22, 2023
When Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley bragged that he was focusing on “white rage,” Americans assumed that he had time for such distractions because the army would secure Afghanistan, the air force would keep our skies free of Chinese spy balloons, and the military, in general, had plenty of recruits—all mistaken optimism.
So woke serves as a cover for the mediocre: fail at what you were assigned to do, and then cover that failure with ideologically correct, head-nodding, virtue-signaling verbiage.
We know what followed Gen. Milley’s testimonies: Afghanistan fell in the greatest American humiliation in a half-century. China sent spy balloons across the United States with impunity. Thousands of targeted white males simply ceased signing up for military service. Either they were tired of dying at twice their demographic numbers in losing efforts in distant Afghanistan and Iraq, or they did not want to enter the military under suspicion of being racist, sexist, or homophobic and thus subject to special military retraining. Or both.
Now the army alone finds itself 15,000 recruits short in 2022—in other words an entire division lost. 2023 may be even worse.
Experts are fighting over what caused the collapse of SVB in Silicon Valley. Was it the hyperinflation caused by the Biden administration, the laxity of the Federal Reserve to stop de facto zero interest and quantitative easing, and then in panic spiking interest rates at a historically rapid pace? Was it buying low-interest bonds that did not pay enough interest to service the banks’ growing expenditures? Was it a “It’s a Wonderful Life” bank run, fueled by the panic of losing deposits? Was it the recession in Silicon Valley that meant reduced demand for profitable loans and start-ups’ difficulties in meeting payback dates?
No one quite knows the exact lethal calculus. But if one reads the now defunct bank website and the social media performance art of its executives, the main theme is not brilliant banking or iron-clad guarantees of depositors’ money, but the diversity profiles of its management and board, the bank’s commitment to equity and green causes, and the general sense of inclusion. The commissariat wished us to know it was woke, but not that its team had made disastrous choices that would destroy its very existence.
Again, the bank overinvested in hundreds of Silicon Valley tech, socially aware, and green start-ups. The latter had obtained easy contracts from budget-busting massive “infrastructure” bills during the Obama and Biden administrations. Their bosses also bragged about their diversity profiles, their green investments, and their contributions to leftwing groups.
All this was a veneer over the truth that SVB was issuing what amounted to subprime business loans to risky startups. They had ignored the reality that their long-term government bonds paid little interest just when annual inflation began spiking, just when depositors demanded higher returns, and just when clients were increasingly buffeted by stagflationary layoffs. When a March run on the bank by depositors drained the bank of cash, and a massive sell-off of now low-yield government bonds incurred huge losses and fueled the panic, the bank simply imploded. So we now have a perfectly woke and perfectly broke epitaph for SVB—and a tragic model for others to follow.

Most of our marquee universities are dropping the SAT requirement for admissions. They are coy about the reasons. But most know why.
All SAT scores are dropping, given high schools are spending an inordinate amount of time to ensure that all students are equally mediocre rather than ensuring that their best are accordingly rewarded, and its struggling students still graduate with basic knowledge. More importantly, however, particular woke college quotas cannot be filled if prior SAT standards are maintained. Our best universities in Orwellian fashion brag that they reject 60-70 percent of those who score perfect scores on now optional SAT tests. But they will not disclose the scores of those who were admitted and had chosen to take the test.
Remember, woke admissions are the beginning and not the end. What follows requires watered-down courses, inflated grading, and assured graduation—at least if a faculty member or administrator wishes to avoid the lidless eye of the woke commissar, who scans the landscape looking for “disparate impact” and “disproportionate representation” in grading.
Never have ignorance and arrogance been so intertwined. At the recent infamous Stanford Law School trashing of invited speaker Judge Kyle Duncan, what was striking was not the usual obscene placards, the infantile rude questions, the teenage summer camp-like chanting of boilerplate slogans, but an occasional shout to the judge “You wouldn’t have gotten into Stanford”! (But Stanford’s own 2022 fail rate of the first California Bar examination has now reached 14 percent of its graduating class, lower than four other California law schools. So was the ignoramus’s brag of Stanford Law School’s excellence warranted?

In December 2013, Zaire Ebola hemorrhagic fever broke out in Guinea and over the next three years spread across West Africa, ultimately killing 11,323 people. It was the largest and deadliest Ebola outbreak in history
According to a paper published at the end of December 2014, the Ebola epidemic was traced back to a 2-year-old boy in Meliandou, Guinea. Supposedly, the boy had come in contact with an infected fruit bat in a hollowed-out tree. However, no Ebolavirus was ever detected in any of the bat samples collected from the area
The senior author on that 2014 paper was Fabian Leendertz, a renowned virus hunter with the Robert Koch Institute in Germany. Leendertz was also a member of the World Health Organization team that investigated the origin of COVID-19, concluding without evidence that SARS-CoV-2 was of zoonotic origin
In late October 2022, Sam Husseini and Jonathan Latham, Ph.D., published a new analysis, in which they highlighted the holes in the zoonotic origin narrative and laid out the evidence pointing to a lab leak
Curiously, many of the same individuals, companies and organizations involved in the Ebola epidemic have also been linked to the alleged creation of SARS-CoV-2
In December 2013, Zaire Ebola hemorrhagic fever broke out in Guinea and over the next three years spread across West Africa, ultimately killing 11,323 people.1 While Ebola epidemics occur on a near-annual basis, this was the largest and deadliest in history.2
Of the five Ebola viruses known to cause disease in humans, Zaire Ebolavirus, first identified in Zaire in 1976, is the most dangerous, with a fatality rate ranging between 53% and 88%,3 depending on the variant.
The virus leads to severe immunosuppression, but most deaths are attributed to dehydration caused by gastric problems. Early signs of infection include nonspecific flu-like symptoms and sudden onset of fever, diarrhea, headache, muscle pain, vomiting and abdominal pains. Other less common symptoms include sore throat, rashes and internal/external bleeding.
As the infection sets in, shock, cerebral edema (fluid on the brain), coagulation disorders and secondary bacterial infections may occur. Hemorrhaging tends to begin four to five days after onset of the initial symptoms, which includes bleeding in the throat, gums, lips and vagina. Vomiting blood, excreting tar-like feces indicative of gastrointestinal bleeding, and liver- and/or multi-organ failure can also occur.
The Virus Hunter That Assigned Zoonotic Origin
According to a paper4 published at the end of December 2014, the Ebola epidemic was traced back to a 2-year-old boy in Meliandou, Guinea, named Emile Ouamouno. Supposedly, the boy had come in contact with an infected fruit bat in a hollowed-out tree.
This, even though no Ebolavirus RNA was ever detected in any of the bat samples collected from the area. Interestingly enough, the senior author on that paper was Fabian Leendertz, a renowned virus hunter with the Robert Koch Institute in Germany.
Leendertz was also a member of the World Health Organization team that investigated the origin of COVID-19.5 As you may recall, they also concluded, without evidence, that SARS-CoV-2 was most likely of zoonotic origin and dismissed the lab leak theory as not worthy of further consideration.
Lab Leak Suspected From the Start
However, just as with SARS-CoV-2, suspicions and rumors that the Ebola outbreak was the result of a lab leak were present from the start. Some scientists even suspected the virus might be a weaponized form of Ebola. As noted in a 2014 paper in the Journal of Molecular Biochemistry:6
“Another subject that may cause a plethora of arguments is that this virus may be a laboratory generated virus … There is a conjecture that the virus is transmitted to people from wild animals. However, by reason of the high mortality among them, it is impossible that these animals are the reservoir host of EVD.”
In late October 2022, Sam Husseini and Jonathan Latham, Ph.D., published a new analysis7,8,9 in Independent Science News, in which they laid out the evidence pointing to a lab leak. They also dissect Leendertz December 2014 report, highlighting the holes in the zoonotic origin narrative. In fact, there’s evidence to suggest the outbreak in in Meliandou wasn’t Ebola at all. Husseini and Latham write:10
“Chernoh Bah, an independent journalist from Sierra Leone, wrote a book on the 2014 Ebola outbreak and visited Meliandou. Bah found that: ‘Local health workers still think malaria may have been the actual cause of his [Emile’s] death.’
While in Meliandou, Chernoh Bah also interviewed Emile’s father. According to Bah, the Leendertz team (who never claimed to have interviewed the father) made a crucial error: ‘The child was actually 18 months old when he died’ … The age question, it should be noted, is crucial to the entire outbreak narrative. As Emile’s father told Reuters:
‘Emile was too young to eat bats, and he was too small to be playing in the bush all on his own. He was always with his mother.’ Bah also identified another apparent error: that Emile had four siblings who never became sick. These siblings are not mentioned anywhere in the scientific literature …
Further, although some bats appear to carry antibodies against Ebola viruses, only intact Bombali Ebola (a different virus species in the Ebola genus) has ever been isolated from a bat, despite intensive searches … Bombali is a species of Ebola that does not infect humans.
Taken together, this suggests that bats rarely carry Ebola viruses and when they do it is in small quantities. This context makes it somewhat surprising that Saéz et al. ascribed the 2014 outbreak (without supporting evidence) to contact with bats.
Indeed, Fabian Leendertz now doubts that bats are true reservoirs of Ebola viruses.11 Given the general want of evidence, one wonders by what exact process such poorly supported claims were transmuted into international headlines.”
As detailed by Husseini and Latham,12 “persistent rumors in the region linked the outbreak to a US-run research laboratory in Kenema, Sierra Leone.13 This facility studies viral hemorrhagic diseases, of which Ebola is one.”
The Kenema lab, which has been run by the U.S.-based Viral Hemorrhagic Fever Consortium (VHFC) since 2010, is located about 50 miles from the village in Guinea where the Ebola outbreak first emerged.14
The founder and president of the VHFC is Robert (Bob) Garry, who was also part of the group of virologists who in the earliest days of the COVID-19 pandemic concocted “The Proximal Origin of SARS-CoV-2” paper15 in which they dismissed the lab leak theory and insisted zoonotic origin was the most plausible, despite the lack of evidence.16
As recently as November 2022, Garry still insisted SARS-CoV-2 “emerged via the wildlife trade.”17 In that same article, Garry drew parallels to the 2014 Ebola outbreak, claiming that conspiracy pundits were wrong about Ebola being leaked from the Kenema lab, because “we did not have EBOV [ebolavirus] in our laboratory and therefore could not have released or engineered it.”
According to Garry, the Ebola and SARS-CoV-2 outbreaks are both victims of “guilt-by-proximity.” However, in a March 11, 2023, interview on the Decoding the Gurus podcast, Kristian Andersen, vice president of the VHFC’s Kenema lab18 and another “Proximal Origin” author, clearly refuted Garry’s claim:19
“The problem is that people see these coincidences. One of the new ones is the Ebola lab leak, which also is being blamed on us, because we had been studying Ebola in Kenema in Sierra Leone, and lo and behold Ebola emerged just a few miles from there in 2014,”Andersen said.
So, what do we make of this? Garry claims the Kenema lab didn’t have any Ebola virus and Andersen says they did. Both are top executives at the lab and ought to know what was studied and what wasn’t. So, who’s telling the truth?
Was Kenema Lab Involved in Biowarfare Work?
According to Husseini and Latham,20 there’s good reason to believe the Kenema lab was working with Ebola before the outbreak in Guinea, some 50 miles from the lab. For starters, the Guinea outbreak was the first time Zaire Ebola emerged in West Africa. All previous outbreaks of this most-lethal strain of Ebola occurred in the Congo basin, in the central African equatorial zone, some 3,000 kilometers (approximately 1,864 miles) from Guinea.
“Hence Zaire Ebola’s appearance in West Africa was a striking and very unexpected development,” they write. How did it get there? Ebola is not highly contagious as transmission typically requires direct contact.
There were no outbreaks between the Congo basin and Guinea, which you’d expect if it was spreading naturally from person to person. Equally mysterious is the fact that genome sequencing and phylogenetic analysis showed only a single jump from animal to human. Husseini and Latham explain:21
“Zoonotic outbreaks, including most past Ebola outbreaks, typically feature multiple jumps to humans from an animal source. Single jumps, however, are consistent with lab origins and are often considered a red flag for that possibility.
The reason is that researchers often work with a single isolate, perhaps one that they have found is particularly easy to replicate in the laboratory, whereas natural populations are typically diverse. This difference provides a genetic signal for distinguishing natural origins from laboratory ones.”
Zaire Ebola is also the preferred species used by research labs studying Ebola-type viruses, as it’s the most lethal and therefore has the greatest biowarfare potential. Husseini and Latham continue:
“Noting the gap between the weakness of the Leendertz account of the outbreak origin … and the forcefulness with which the Emile narrative was asserted by western scientists and western media, [journalist Chernoh Bah] wrote:
‘it is difficult not to interpret the ‘zoonotic origin of the West African Ebola epidemic’ narrative advanced by Fabian Leendertz and his team as part of a cover-up or obfuscation of the actual chain of events that laid the foundation for the West African Ebola outbreak’ …
In 2011, three years before the West African Ebola outbreak, Reuters profiled the research in Kenema at length.22 Readers were told that a ‘laboratory in southeastern Sierra Leone is an outpost of the U.S. government’s ‘war on terror,’ funded by a surge in bio-defense spending … [By] the fiscal year 2007 the NIH was requesting more than $1.9 billion.’ Reuters concluded that the Kenema labs’ share of that allocation was $40 million.
On August 25, 2013, just months before the Ebola outbreak, the VHFC posted on its website an article titled: ‘Researchers at the Scripps Research Institute make major advances in the fight against Ebola virus.’ This article was later removed but its existence is verifiable using the WayBackMachine.
Nevertheless, the title alone raises some key questions: Why did the VHFC post about Ebola if it wasn’t working on it at the time? In particular, what Ebola variant was being studied? What was the nature of the experiments? Why remove the post? …
We do know that Ebola was important to the VHFC and its partners and a primary interest for at least some of its members.
Indeed, all the leading US-based researchers of the VHFC, Robert Garry, Kristian Andersen, Erica Ollmann Saphire and Pardis Sabeti have published multiple original research papers on Ebola virus.23,24,25,26,27,28 An Ebola focus also accords with US biosecurity research priorities under whose auspices the Kenema lab is largely funded …
In 2013 Robert Garry co-authored a paper29 on a novel treatment for Zaire Ebola. All eleven other authors were from USAMRIID, aka Fort Detrick. This site is the largest ‘biodefense’ facility in the world and Garry’s company, Zalgen, is located close-by.”
More Biowarfare Connections and Ebola Trials
Husseini and Latham point out that in 2014, when the Ebola outbreak occurred, Metabiota was a VHFC partner. As detailed in “Evidence of Pandemic and Bioweapon Cover-Ups,” Metabiota was hired by the WHO and the local government of Sierra Leone to monitor the spread of the Ebola epidemic, but clearly were not up to the task. A 2016 CBS News report detailed Metabiota’s bungled response.30
2014 was also the year when Metabiota was entrusted with the operations of U.S. biological research labs in Ukraine, with funding from the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) and:31,32
Pilot Growth Management, cofounded by Neil Callahan. Callahan is also a cofounder of Rosemont Seneca Technology Partners, and he sits on Metabiota’s board of advisers
In-Q-Tel, a CIA venture capital firm that specializes in high-tech investments that support or benefit the intelligence capacity of U.S. intelligence agencies
Rosemont Seneca,33 an investment fund co-managed by Hunter Biden34
Metabiota’s founder, Nathan Wolfe, is also tied to EcoHealth president Peter Daszak, Ph.D., a prime suspect in the COVID pandemic who worked closely with the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) in China, where SARS-CoV-2 is suspected of having originated. Wolfe has also received more than $20 million in research grants from Google, the NIH and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, just to name a few.
Of all the scientists, companies and organizations involved in this kind of research across the world, how is it that the same short list of names pop up both in the Guinea Ebola case and COVID-19?
Aside from the Kenema lab’s obvious biowarfare connections, and the possibility of Ebola being experimented on there, several Ebola treatment trials were also taking place in Port Loko, Sierra Leone, about 190 km (118 miles) from Kenema, right around the same time that Ebola broke out in Guinea.
“From the limited descriptions available, one of these trials fits the timing required for it to have triggered the 2014 Ebola outbreak but none of them fits the location,” Latham and Husseini write.35
“However, the data is incomplete; for his book, Constantine Nana corresponded with the lead investigator in the Port Loko Phase II trial, Dr. Peter Horby of the University of Oxford. Horby told Nana ‘he had no information as regards the results of the Phase I trial.’ To lead a Phase II trial and know nothing about that product’s Phase I trial is indeed mysterious and rather strange.”
Biosafety Is Lax at Kenema Lab
Latham and Husseini also review the lackadaisical approach to biosafety at the Kenema lab, despite working with extremely dangerous pathogens:36
“In the U.S., using live filoviruses requires biosafety level four (BSL-4) facilities, where researchers wear positive pressure ‘space suits.’ But in Kenema … according to Reuters, biosafety ‘measures include goggles, gloves and masks.’ The article quoted VHFC member Matt Boisen, a U.S. scientist from Tulane, now with Zalgen: ‘Certainly we have less safety, less containment, but we do have the ability to do a lot more in the same amount of time’ …
Others have corroborated this laxity. In the 2014 outbreak, the earliest emergency responder was the medical non-profit Doctors Without Borders (MSF) who were called in for their extensive Ebola experience. MSF’s emergency response coordinator was Anja Wolz. She was highly critical of the biosafety measures used by Metabiota at Kenema.
Having seen how they visited suspected Ebola cases, she told AP: ‘I didn’t go inside the Metabiota lab … I refused because I had already seen enough.’ A CDC official, Austin Demby, later sent to investigate, reached similar conclusions.
In an email about the Kenema lab he wrote: ‘The cross contamination potential is huge and quite frankly unacceptable.’ Thus, there seems to have been a pattern at Kenema of lax biosafety procedures both before and during the outbreak.”
Another oddity that doesn’t fit the nature of a natural outbreak was the fact that hotspots were broadly spread out. There was no epicenter. Moreover, according to WHO Ebola coordinator Philippe Barboza, Metabiota staffers were “systematically obstructing any attempt to improve the existing surveillance system.” MSF also complained they got no cooperation from Kenema.
“Given the intentionality imputed by many of these witnesses to the failings in Sierra Leone, were they deliberate? If so, were they intended to divert attention away from the Kenema lab?” Latham and Husseini ask.
Genomic Testing
Latham and Husseini then delve into the genomic testing results, which suggest there was a “hidden” or unreported outbreak in Sierra Leone, which only later spread into Guinea. That doesn’t prove it came out of a lab in Sierra Leone, however. But unique features in the Makona strain of Ebola that caused the Guinea outbreak suggest the virus may have undergone some form of manipulation. Latham and Husseini explain:
“The Makona strain of Ebola is not a standard or known strain, nor is it similar to any published strain. It is novel, having approximately 400 mutations that are not found in any previously known Ebola strain. Hence, for the 2014 Ebola outbreak to have begun in a lab, the Makona strain must either represent the escape of an unpublished strain, perhaps one collected during fieldwork in central Africa.
Alternatively, Makona could be a radically manipulated derivative of a known strain–either through genetic engineering or passaging. A combination of these two possibilities should also be considered.
Of these two alternatives, we know that Ebola and other viruses were being sought from wild animals in the Congo basin at the time as part of USAID’s PREDICT project. The chief actors in this were the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) and Metabiota, which, at the time, was at the time a partner of the VHFC …
[One] possibility is that Metabiota, or other collectors, used the VHFC lab at Kenema as part of a cold chain for the preservation of samples brought from the Congo basin …
The Kenema lab may also have been used for initial screening or testing of such samples. A third possibility is the formal or informal sharing of samples or strains with VHFC contacts or colleagues at Kenema, perhaps to help in the development of commercial treatments or diagnostic tools …
Given these potentialities it is remarkable to discover that, in July 2014, during the epidemic, the VHFC wrote a brief report in which they accused Metabiota of an activity that would be riskier still.
The VHFC accused Metabiota staff at Kenema of culturing cells from Ebola patients, which they insisted was dangerous and should ‘be stopped immediately.’
Metabiota issued a qualified denial, but the allegation is highly credible since the two organisations shared the same site; moreover its implications are very great. It suggests, first, that Metabiota had an interest in culturing novel strains of Ebola, second, that they had the technical capability and the personnel competent to do so at Kenema, and third, that they were willing to take exceptional risks …
The allegation therefore raises, in a very concrete way, the question of what Metabiota might have been doing in Kenema prior to the outbreak … given the research interests and the capacities of the VHFC lab in Kenema and its collaborators, it is a relatively simple matter to theorise how a novel strain of Ebola, like Makona, might have reached Kenema and then spilled over there during routine research activities.
Interesting too is the dual role of Metabiota. Besides collecting samples from the wild, Metabiota was also the company that, at least according to MSF and the WHO, obstructed or mishandled testing and diagnosis at Kenema and that Sylvia Blyden alleged ‘messed up the whole region.’
If a research error on the part of Metabiota was the source of the strain (and Metabiota’s incompetence has been widely alleged37), or even suspected to be, they would have had a strong incentive to also ‘bungle’ the identification of early cases and so obfuscate the origin.”
Pathogenic Research Must Be Reined In
While the case for the worst Ebola outbreak in history being the result of a lab leak is still based on circumstantial evidence, that evidence is compelling, and made even more so by the absence of evidence for a zoonotic origin. The same can be said for SARS-CoV-2.
Additionally, of all the scientists, companies and organizations involved in this kind of research across the world, how is it that the same short list of names pop up both in the Guinea Ebola case and COVID-19?
The take-home message here is that there is no possible way to guarantee containment of viruses in any of these laboratories, not even biosafety level 4 labs. And a pathogen doesn’t have to be developed as a bioweapon in order to act like one.
If gain-of-function research on lethal viruses is allowed to continue, the whole world will remain at risk, and I don’t think its hyperbolic to say gain of function research poses an existential threat to mankind. So far, we’ve been lucky in that escaped pathogens (suspected or confirmed) have not decimated the global population, but our luck may someday run out.

A militant transgender shooter with a manifesto murdered multiple people at a Christian school in Nashville on Monday. The tragedy that rocked the community was revealed to be politically motivated in short order with prior calls for a “Trans Day of Vengeance” permeating the situation. That Tennessee had recently passed a law banning child mutilation under the guise of “gender-affirming care,” something the left described as a genocide, clearly played a role in the shooter’s psyche.
But as the aftermath of the tragedy played out, the national press latched onto what was really important: Ensuring that the “right” pronouns are used to describe the murderous psychopath.
Truly, this is one of the worst things I’ve ever seen the news media do, and I have to make sure and temper myself as I finish this article so as to not lose my mind in anger in the process.
To recap, we have a deranged transgender lunatic that was pretty obviously radicalized by far-left talk of “genocide” being committed by those on the right, and The New York Times, MSNBC, and other outlets are laser-focused on making sure we don’t “misgender” the shooter. It’s hard to not want to put my head through a wall right now.
Let me be clear for the press hacks who don’t seem to understand basic reality. This shooter is a woman. The fact that this woman was mentally ill and believed she was a man does not mean we all need to bend over backward to respect her delusions. Six innocent people, including three children, are dead, and we are talking about “misgendering” and pronouns. That’s one of the most despicable things I’ve ever seen in the political sphere, of which this shooting is firmly ensconced given its motivation.
I just don’t believe most Americans are looking at this and not rolling their eyes at best or seething in anger at worst. The Democratic Party and its press allies have created an environment where mentally ill people are “affirmed” instead of being given the help they need and then they want us to play by their rules when one of those mentally ill people lashes out and commits an atrocity.
To that I say, go jump in a lake. Maybe pumping a psychopathic woman full of testosterone to “affirm” her gender wasn’t the best way to handle the situation? But we can’t talk about that because that would be “transphobic.” We are going to talk about it, though, because we aren’t afraid. We don’t care what you call us. We don’t have to play by your deluded, anti-scientific rules (no matter how much the politicized scientific establishment changes them).
Enough is enough. This is now the second high-profile mass shooting committed by a transgender person in the last few months despite self-described transgender individuals making up a tiny fraction of the population. The connection can’t be ignored anymore, and the news media are hideous ghouls for playing along with this insanity while the bodies are still warm.
