SUPPORT TEXAS RIGHT TO LIFE

Rene Henry,

Bishop Rene Henry Gracida is one of the most courageous defenders of Life in the world.

Today, Bishop Gracida turns 98! Even now, Gracida remains an active advocate for the lives of the innocent and vulnerable.

Bishop Gracida rose to the national stage in the eighties and nineties, when, as bishop of the Diocese of Corpus Christi, he took public action to confront the murderous exploits of Planned Parenthood and pro-abortion politicians.

Bishop Gracida stood firm in his decision despite widespread backlash from secular and religious authorities.“The most important issue facing the world today is the assault on the sanctity of human life,” Bishop Gracida has written.

Gracida is one bishop who does not mince his words. He was raised in the Great Depression and served as a U.S. airman in World War II, flying 32 missions over Nazi-occupied Europe.

(On one mission, a shard of German shrapnel ripped through his plane, missing his head by inches. “If it had hit me, it would have taken my head off,” says Gracida. Incredibly he has held onto that piece of shrapnel and keeps the artifact as a memento to this day.)

Bishop Gracida is not afraid to fight for the truth and the defense of the weak.

For decades Bishop Gracida has been one of Texas Right to Life’s greatest allies. “I’ve had such great respect and admiration for all you wonderful people associated with Texas Right to Life,” Gracida has said.

Please join us in honoring Bishop Gracida’s 98th birthday by giving $1000, $500, or $98 to defend Life!GIVE NOWUnsurprisingly, Bishop Gracida has taken a strong stance against Biden’s abortion agenda.

Gracida has said, “it has become crystal clear that the politician who actively engages his political skills to maintain abortion-on-demand and who protects the ongoing genocideby voting for legislation in favor of abortion formally cooperates in the evil of abortion itself.”

Bishop Gracida has dedicated his life to the defense of vulnerable patients and preborn children. He has been criticized and attacked from all sides for his Pro-Life efforts!

We need you to join in Bishop Gracida’s fight to protect the innocent by giving a gift in his honor right now.

When you give in honor of Bishop Gracida’s 98th birthday, your name will be featured in a special birthday message to the bishop himself!

Texas Right to Life is very thankful to God for Bishop Gracida’s faithful witness and defense of Life.

Thank you for helping us wish Bishop Gracida a very happy 98th birthday!

For Life,
GIVE NOW

DON’T BE FOOLED BY THE SOROS SUPPORTED EFFORT TO ASSIST PRESIDENT BIDEN IN HIS ONGOING EFFORTS TO UNDERMINE THE CATHOLIC CHURCH’S OPPOSITION TO ABORTION AND OTHER CONTROVERSIAL ISSUES

Soros-Funded Group Attacks Bishops

June 10, 2021

Catholic League president Bill Donohue comments on the latest attack on U.S. bishops:

President Biden says he is a “devout Catholic,” yet he continues to oppose many of the most serious Catholic teachings that bear on public policy. This is of great concern to the bishops, and a large contingent of them are considering whether Biden is deserving of Holy Communion. They will take this issue up next week in a virtual meeting of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB).
Enter George Soros’ Faithful America. It is sponsoring a petition aimed at pressuring the bishops to “cancel your planned anti-Biden vote.” They claim to have over 20,000 signatures.
Who is Faithful America? It is not an organization like the Catholic League. No one goes to the office because there isn’t any office: it has a P.O. Box listed on its website. There is no one to call because it has no phone number. It says it is an “online community.” But it is not a community—it is simply a website that functions as a front group for Catholic haters led by George Soros.
Who funds it? George Soros, the atheist billionaire who hates Catholics.
Why is Faithful America launching this attack on the USCCB? Because it wants to protect President Biden. They like his pro-abortion and anti-religious liberty record.
While there is nothing “anti-Biden” about the USCCB. To be sure, for example, the bishops are rightly concerned about the message that he is sending: The president of the United States can pretend to be a Catholic in good standing and still reject core Church teachings on the rights of the unborn, marriage, the family, sexuality, and religious liberty. Indeed, he can seek to force Catholic doctors to perform sex transition surgery and support closing down Catholic hospitals that refuse to perform abortions.
Hopefully, the USCCB will not be intimidated by phony “organizations” that have no anchor in the Catholic community.

It is not true that the ’60s ensured needed reform. The civil rights movement and equal rights for women and gays were already birthed before the hippies, as were folk songs, and early rock music.
Instead, what the ’60s revolution did was accelerate these trends—but also radicalize, manipulate, and coarsen them.

This Isn’t Your Father’s Left-Wing Revolution
Today’s revolutionaries aren’t fighting “the Man”they are “the Man.”

By Victor Davis Hanson

Hat Tip: Rip McIntosh

Starry-eyed radicals in the 1960s and 1970s dreamed that they either were going to take over America or destroy it.
One of their favorite psychodramatic mottos was “Change it or Lose it,” even as protests focused on drugs, music, race, class, sex, fashion—and almost anything and everything.
Sixties radicals tutored America on long hair, wire-rim eyeglasses, and who was a drag, a square, a bummer, and who was hip, cool, groovy, mellow, and far out. Most of these silly revolutionaries were not unhinged Weathermen killers or SDS would-be Communists, but just adolescents along for the good-time ride.
With the end of the draft in 1972, the winding down of the Vietnam War, the oil embargoes, and the worsening economy, the ’60s revolution withered away. Cynics claimed the “revolution” was always mostly about middle-class students with long hair, kicking back during the peak of the postwar boom, indulging their appetites, and ensuring they would not end up in Vietnam.
It is not even true that the ’60s at least ensured needed reform. The civil rights movement and equal rights for women and gays were already birthed before the hippies, as were folk songs, and early rock music.
Instead, what the ’60s revolution did was accelerate these trends—but also radicalize, manipulate, and coarsen them.
The grasping “yuppies” of the 1980s were the natural successors to let-it-all-hang-out hippies. The ’60s were at heart a narcissistic free-for-all when “freedom” often entailed self-indulgence and avoiding responsibility.
By 1981, the Reagan revolution finished off the dead-enders of the Woodstock Generation. Most eventually grew up. They rebooted their self-centered drug, sex, and party impulses to fixations on money, status, and material things.
Sixties protestors mainlined divorce, abortion on demand, promiscuity, drug use, and one-parent homes. But in the end, most veteran cultural revolutionaries by the late 1970s and 1980s had gotten married, were raising families, bought homes, got jobs, and made money.
But this time around, their offspring’s left-wing assault is different—and far more ominous. The woke grandchildren of the former outsiders are now more ruthless, systematic insiders. The woke and wired new establishment knows how to use their money and power to rebirth America as something the founders and most current Americans never envisioned.
Name one mainline institution that the woke Left does not now control—and warp. The media? The campuses? Silicon Valley? Professional sports? The corporate boardroom? Foundations? The K-12 educational establishment? The military hierarchy? The administrative state? The FBI top echelon?
The Left absorbed them all. But this time around it really believes that “by any means necessary” is no mere slogan. Instead, it is a model of how to disrupt or destroy 233 years of American customs, traditions, and values.
Woke revolutionaries are not panhandlers, street people, or Grateful Dead groupies. They are not even a few ragtag, nutty, and murderous Symbionese Liberation Army terrorists fighting against “the Man.” They are “the Man.”
Our 21st-century revolutionaries are multibillionaires in flip-flops, tie-dye T-shirts, and nose rings, but with the absolute power and wish to censor how half the country communicates—or cancel them entirely.
They don’t flock to campus free-speech areas; they are the campus administrators who ban free speech.
They don’t picket outside the Pentagon; they are inside the Pentagon. They don’t chant “eat the rich”; they are the rich who eat at Napa Valley’s French Laundry.
They don’t protest “uptight” values, because they are more intolerant and puritanical than any Victorian.
Their leaders are not stoners who smoke dope, but the stone-sober who scan data on spreadsheets, downloads, and page views.
They don’t believe in racial quotas based on “proportional representation,” because they are racists who demand underrepresentation of “bad” racial groups and overrepresentation of “good” groups. The color of our skin is their gospel, not the content of our character.
They are top-down revolutionaries. None of their agendas, from open borders and changing the Constitution to critical race theory and banning clean-burning fossil fuels, ever polls 50 percent.
Their guidebook is “ never let a crisis go to waste.” Only in times of a pandemic, a national quarantine, or volatile racial relations, can the new upscale leftist revolutionaries use fear to push through policies that no one in calm times could stomach.
Our revolutionaries hate dissent. They destroy any who question their media-spun hoaxes like Russian collusion, the bat origin of COVID-19, or the idea that Hunter Biden’s laptop was a Russian plant.
Truth is their enemy, and fear is their weapon. Sixties paranoid revolutionaries warned about George Orwell’s 1984, but our revolutionaries are 1984.
While this elitist leftist revolution is more dangerous than its sloppy 1960s’ predecessor, it is also more vulnerable given its obnoxious, top-heavy apparatus—but only if the proverbial people finally say to their madness, “Enough is enough.”

Over last summer and early fall 2020, Governor of New York Andrew Cuomo reached mythic media proportions.

Eeyore’s Cabinet: Living in Our Kingdom of LiesPart Two

By: Victor Davis Hanson

Victor Davis Hanson // Private Papers

June 6, 2021

There were a few more lies we lived with in our Kingdom of Untruth.

The Satanic Andrew Cuomo Deification

Over last summer and early fall 2020, Governor of New York Andrew Cuomo reached mythic media proportions.
His ingratitude was enshrined as New York, “get-used-to-it, buddy” chutzpah. Yes, he momentarily feigned gratitude that Trump had listened to his hysterical daily rantings about the streets littered with corpses unless, right now, immediately, Trump sent a hospital ship, a tent-city hospital, thousands of ventilators, and protective equipment. And Cuomo got them all. Yet mysteriously he did not seem to use them much. As the 2020-election campaign geared up and his name was dropped as a key cabinet secretary or even VP, Cuomo dropped his daily attacks on the hapless Mayor De Blasio and turned on his former benefactor Trump. Or as NPR put it, “The regular briefings helped buoy his approval ratings in New York and make him perhaps the country’s most recognizable Democratic leader in the struggle against COVID-19.”
Cuomo seemed to ride a perfect summer of better luck. No one yet really knew about his Dr. Death rerouting of infectious Covid-19 patients into the Petri-dish confines of long-term health care facilities, where thousands of weak and elderly were simply wiped out by his executive order.
And the first coronavirus spike was seemingly over. Summer was passing with fewer cases, and Cuomo was yakking it up with his professional journalist brother Chris on CNN as they misled the country about their respective lack of ethics.
Hollywood was enthralled with the Dr. Robert DeNiro-like tough-guy “acerbic” governor who did not suffer fools gladly. So they crowned him with an Emmy for his “masterful” press, ego-driven, narcissistic briefings and news conferences. Or in the words of the Emmy Awards CEO:
“People around the world tuned in to find out what was going on, and New York tough became a symbol of the determination to fight back.”  The canonized multitalented Cuomo was not only a politician who out-Trumped Trump, spat out De Blasio, and mesmerized Hollywood with live-play performances. He was also an author, a memoirist, a diarist, an analyst of leadership no less.
So in the midst of the death and destruction of lives, Cuomo landed a $5-million book contract for an adding-insult-to-injury memoir American Crisis: Leadership Lessons from the COVID-19 Pandemic—a book lacking the advice, “Don’t send the infected into the uninfected rooms of elderly rest home patients,” or “How to coax an aide into playing strip poker with you.”
So how does a governor find time to rewrite a memoir in the middle of a plague? (Reader, you interject here to warn me: “Come on man, Cuomo writing a memoir on the job means less people died had he had more time to exercise leadership.”)
The better quandary is how does a mediocre governor find time to continue years of media-exempt sexual harassments, as a dozen women all seem to appear out of nowhere with “he touched me,” “he propositioned me,” “he embarrassed me” like revelations. At the time of his summer strutting, the media bragged on Cuomo’s appeal to women, boasting that there were now online hashtags, like #cuomosexual and #cuomocrush.
For the deplorables, Cuomo was a callous blowhard, without talent other than mimicking a tough-guy New York patois, delivered to Pajama Boy and Life of Julia know-nothing journalists.
The Great Dr. Fauci Icon HoaxDo we now even recall that octogenarian Anthony Fauci early on in the pandemic swore to us, from his long-held perch at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, that the Wuhan virus posed no real threat. Only the naïve would wear masks that, in truth, were mostly worthless. The World Health Organization was to be listened to, as it assured us that humans were unlikely to pass the virus on from its “bat” origins. Likewise, Fauci himself insisted that the Chinese were doing their very best at being transparent, while rallying global efforts to squelch the wet-market, break-out virus?
A Wuhan level-4 virology origin? Nuts, Fauci all but said. Masks? Ugh, why not wear two, given their sudden life-saving efficacy?
Herd immunity? Noble lies of 60, 70—or was it 90?—percent herd immunity was needed to stop the virus? The previously infected with COVID-19? There was no evidence of sustained immunity: so line up you previously sick, and get vaxxed asap, even though existing antibodies seemed to react badly with vaccinations.
Racism? Yep, Fauci attested that racial bias explained the nation’s uneven and poor reaction to the virus (as White House advisor, did he oversee, then, such racism, did he correct it?).
Operation warp speed? Don’t believe Trump: we won’t likely see a vaccination until mid-2021.
Cheap, make-shift protocols that have efficacy in early stages of the virus—whether hydroxychloroquine or Ivermectin? All Trump hogwash. Trust instead the pharmaceutical companies to deliver soon a multi-thousand-dollar brand antiviral injection.
How about those rumors of gain-of-function research ties to Fauci’s approval of an EcoHealth Alliance grant to pay Chinese scientists to do what is banned in the US? Lies, lies, and more damnable lies. Dr. Scott Atlas? Just a public health expert, but not a beltway immunologist.
So how could Atlas be right that focusing on the aged and vulnerable, wearing masks mostly only in crowded indoors as the schools and the economy opened, would in the long run save us from terrible economic damage, thousands of lives lost from delayed procedures, screenings and surgeries, spousal and familial abuse, substance abuse, and the general mayhem and insanity from a year of quarantine, recession, and panic that we now witness?
How could Atlas be right that a Texas or Florida would eventually have no more deaths per million than a New York or California or New Jersey, but a far more vibrant economic recovery and kids in schools far less damaged?
Fauci-mania was a 14-month, media- and leftwing-generated fantasyland, predicated on his yarn as the scientific truth-teller to the faith-healer Trump.
The final irony?
On most of the key issues of the pandemic, Trump’s shoot-from-the-hip, gut instinct was right and Fauci linguistic gymnastics were wrong: the virus likely did come from a leaked gain-of-function experiment in the Wuhan lab.
Vaccinations would appear in 2020.
There is probably some value in early use of inexpensive and mostly safe hydroxychloroquine and Ivermectin. Incentivizing three or four different private companies would be a superior vaccination route than relying on a state-sponsored EU, Chinese, or Russian
And following an Atlas on graduated openings proved smarter than the Fauci endless quarantining and mask-wearing.
A modest predication. When this entire tragedy is fully researched, documented, and published, we are going to learn astounding, radically jarring and depressing things.
And, neither will Dr. Fauci be again Dr. Fauci, the wizard of the White House, nor will the Chinese be our “partners” in sleuthing out the COVID-19 origins.

Am I the only one who thought this?

After I noticed that girly leftist “Catholic” websites like gay activist Fr. James Martin’s America, the pro-gay Crux, the National Catholic Reporter which I call the National Gay Reporter and the girly Where Peter Is which I call Where Pachamama Is were the main Catholic defenders of Francis’s slapping of a woman’s hand this thought came to my mind:

Isn’t hand slapping kind of girly?

The Chicago Tribune apparently thought so too:

“Girls grow up playing those hand-slapping kinds of games, like `My sister Susie went down to the seashore,’ where you hit your friend’s hands. It’s a bonding thing that helps them be more focused and relaxed. If they’re in a good streak and do the same routine, then they feel they’re going good.”

It appears even pro-Francis Jimmy Kimmel might have thought so:

Earlier this week, Melania Trump ignited another wave of #SaveMelania when she very publicly rejected POTUS’s attempts to hold her hand

Stop for a moment of silence, ask Jesus Christ what He want you to do next. In this silence remember God, Father, Son and Holy Ghost – Three Divine Persons yet One God, has an ordered universe where you can know truth and falsehood as well as never forget that He wants you to have eternal happiness with Him as his son or daughter by grace. Make this a practice. By doing this you are doing more good than reading anything here or anywhere else on the Internet.

Francis Notes:

– Doctor of the Church St. Francis de Sales totally confirmed beyond any doubt the possibility of a heretical pope and what must be done by the Church in such a situation:

“[T]he Pope… WHEN he is EXPLICITLY a heretic, he falls ipso facto from his dignity and out of the Church, and the Church MUST either deprive him, or, as some say, declare him deprived, of his Apostolic See.”
(The Catholic Controversy, by St. Francis de Sales, Pages 305-306)

Saint Robert Bellarmine, also, said “the Pope heretic is not deposed ipso facto, but must be declared deposed by the Church.”

GRATITUDE EXPRESSED WHERE GRATITUDE IS DUE

MAIKE HICKSON

Gratitude where gratitude is due: My family’s story with the Society of St. Pius X

So many souls today are not being tended well by their shepherds. So many sheep out there are lost in the wilderness and no one is present to look for them.Wed Jun 9, 2021 – 8:36 pm EST

June 9, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) – Sometimes things happen in life that we receive with much gratitude, but we may never make it a point of stressing them. And then comes an occasion which prompts us to do some act of gratitude that was long overdue.

This is how it is with my family’s own experiences with the Society of St. Pius X (SSPX) over the course of at least the last decade.

The reason why I decided to make now this act of public gratitude is that some of the faithful in Front Royal, Virginia, who have become attracted to the SSPX during last year’s lockdown and requested the SSPX open a mission in town are now raising funds so that a permanent SSPX chapel can be built there.  This is my way of trying to help along a little this desirable project. Why would I do such an act of public support for the SSPX?Let me tell you a story. SUBSCRIBE to LifeSite’s daily headlinesSUBSCRIBEU.S. Canada World CatholicIt began more than a decade ago. After meeting my future husband, I became a Catholic in 2004 with the help of a priest of the Fraternity of St. Peter, Father Bernward Deneke, who later also witnessed the sacramental marriage of my husband, Robert, and me. We owe him a lot. And as it is with many converts, they are very eager to bring in more souls into the Catholic Church or to make sure that their loved ones die in the state of grace as Catholics. So it was with my grandfather. He lay dying. He had been a faithful Protestant for decades after having been raised as an Orthodox Christian and showed no interest in becoming a Catholic. Yet, we had to try.So first we asked some of the traditional priests that we knew in Germany. The problem was that my grandfather lived in a town that was quite Protestant, and the Catholic parish there was so secularized that my mother and I had been quite shocked to see a woman dressed up in a sort of a coarse vestment going to the Tabernacle and doing something. We were glad not to know more of the details. But in any event, none of the traditional priests we knew better could help. They were all quite far away from my grandfather and they did not see themselves able to make a longer trip. That is when we decided to call up the closest SSPX chapel in Germany, which was still five hours away from my grandfather. Father Koenraad Huysegems picked up the phone. We did not know each other at all, and I even called from the United States. After I had described to him the situation, his response was: “Shall I go right now?” He would have immediately gone to his car and driven five hours to the north to see whether he could be of any help to a man he had never met. After arrangements with the family, Father Huysegems arrived a few days later. It was Candlemas. I myself was not able to come, but I received a full report from my mother, who was present, of what had happened. As providence had it, this priest who was originally from Holland spoke my grandfather’s native tongue, Serbo-Croatian. My grandfather came from Yugoslavia; he had been a prisoner of war from World War II, had then met my grandmother in the northern German countryside, and stayed. But so Father Huysegems entered my grandfather’s bedroom and unexpectedly greeted him in his mother tongue! He said to him: “I am a Catholic priest. I could either give you the blessing of the Church, or I can receive you in to the Catholic Church.” And, to all of our surprise, my grandfather said he wanted to become a Catholic! For this, one needs to know that he had followed the developments in the Catholic Church over the years. A while back, he had mentioned that he believed that the SSPX were the ones who had kept the Faith entire. I do not know whence he had developed this assessment. In any event, on that Candlemas, my grandfather became a Catholic, had a full-hearted confession, received Our Lord, and died some three weeks later. And we owe it to a priest of the Society of St. Pius X whose first prompt response was: “Shall I go right now?”This story is so touching in light of the many disheartening stories I witnessed in Germany as a convert. I knew another fresh convert who was to die not long after his conversion. As I learned later, the priest who took him into the Church never even heard his sacramental confession! Needless to say, he also did not make it into the hospital to his parishioner before he was to die. What is so piercing about this man’s story is that he had once told me that one of the reasons why he wanted to become a Catholic was to go to confession. He said: “I feel I have a very heavy bag that I am carrying around on my back. I so much would like to be freed of it.”So many souls today are not being tended well by their shepherds. So many sheep out there are lost in the wilderness and no one is present to look for them.My husband and I have not yet had had the chance to meet Fr. Huysegems; we were in the U.S. at the time. But we were able to thank him over the phone. And now once more we thank him this way.We met other priests of the SSPX while in Europe, some in Switzerland. We always had the most joyful encounters, with much kindness and lively discussions. Father Stefan Frey, now District Superior of the SSPX in Austria, once even came to visit us with my family when we were back from the United States with our first child, just one year old. Father Frey entered the house, looked at our daughter, stretched his arms out in joy and just stood there and warmly smiled. We will not forget his kindness, either. It was also Father Frey who gave me some personal advice about my life upon which I still sometimes reflect.

In our life here in the U.S., we had a few encounters with SSPX priests, and even two or three with Bishop Bernard Fellay, then-General Superior of the SSPX. Knowing that I was an eager journalist always interested in learning more and understanding more, he took much time to speak with us, even while his assistants politely tried to move him onto his next task! Once I was also able even to conduct a published interview with him.

We also had the chance to meet His Excellency at the newly built seminary in Dillwyn, Virginia, for some of the opening ceremonies. And we had the blessing of his giving the Sacrament of Confirmation to both of our young children.

This story, which is extraordinary in itself since he administered that Sacrament to three children, even though he had just tripped and broken his foot an hour earlier, will always be a very memorable one for my family. (I have written about it here.) Bishop Fellay did not show any pain or disdain, nor did he shorten my lengthy private conversation with him afterwards! And he had not yet even been at the doctor’s office!

On the contrary; when he entered the room of his private quarters (he could not easily move down into the chapel), he said, with a big smile: “This is a very good sign, because the devil must be very angry that these children receive the Sacrament of Confirmation today!”

It had been the day of the opening of the seminary, at the end of a long day. A long day also for our son who, during the ceremony of Confirmation, kept moving slightly from one leg to another. I think he was just getting restless!

In spite of the accident and the exhaustion at the end of a long day, Bishop Fellay took the time to explain to the children the Sacrament of Confirmation and what it does to their souls. It was quite beautiful.

As a sort of background information: in all this time, we rarely went to chapels of the SSPX. For years, we went to our local parish’s traditional Latin Mass, and later we drove some 45 minutes away from home to a little traditional Catholic community with three fine priests, the Canons Regular of the New Jerusalem. (It was there that our son was blessed to receive his First Holy Communion and his first Sacrament of Penance from Bishop Athanasius Schneider!) The main reason for this move was that the mixed community of Novus Ordo and traditional Catholics at home meant that there was not a unified culture and reverence at Mass, with many unruly children whose parents did not seem to think it was important that others at Mass could adore God in quiet reverence.

My husband, who had so greatly helped me become a Catholic, always had a great respect for the SSPX back in the time of the 1988 consecrations of their four bishops. He always held that the way Rome dealt with this case was unjust. In 1987, he went to St. Mary’s, Kansas, in order to give a talk to the SSPX community about spiritual childhood and the Christian soldier. (His essay based on that talk can be found in the collection of his essays here.) But in all these years, he very rarely went to SSPX chapels.

One could say that we were grateful friends of the SSPX.

Then came the lockdown last year. Since my husband is advanced in age, we did stay home for nearly two months, until Easter. We wanted to protect our much beloved husband and father.

In the meantime, and unbeknownst to us, a fellow Catholic, fervently desiring not to be cut off from Mass and the Eucharist, had taken an initiative and called Father Steven Reuter in to help. He was then a professor at the above-mentioned SSPX seminary in Dillwyn, Virginia, which is some three hours away from us in Front Royal. He assured us that Catholics in our region could attend Mass every single Sunday during the entire lockdown period. He, together with his generous fellow priests from the seminary, along with some seminarians, came every Sunday to offer two Holy Masses, the Sacrament of Confession, and even to visit the sick.

Many a Catholic in our region who had been critical of the SSPX was touched to witness this generosity and selflessness. One story that made the rounds very quickly in our larger Catholic community was that on Holy Thursday, a cold and windy day, Father Reuter was freezing in the cold while celebrating his outdoor Mass and he was shivering while cleansing his hands after each family’s reception of Holy Communion, a form of administering Holy Communion that took altogether more than an hour. Catholics were touched to see this sacrifice of a priest for them, so that they could receive Our Lord.

As it happened by God’s Providence, these first “car Masses” took place on the same road our little family was living! At some point, we started to attend these outdoor Masses which were completely in line with official coronavirus rules. Father Reuter and his team touched our hearts immediately, so much so that our children insist that Father Reuter is the best confessor they ever had! His reverence at Mass and his excellent homilies were an inspiration to us. He came to visit our home several times, and each time it was a spiritual and intellectual feast. When Father was not long thereafter called away to another mission, we all were quite sad and distressed. It was as if God had called away from us one of the visiting Apostles. We could better imagine how those communities in early Christianity must have felt when one of the Apostles had to move on to their next mission.

In light of the crisis in the Church, with all the distress and ugliness, we found here a little oasis of faith, with the beautiful liturgy, but also the accompanying practice in the faith, as given to us by these priests. Since then, Father John Carlisle has now taken over this little mission of the SSPX in the Shenandoah Valley, another very fine priest and a former student of Father Reuter’s. We are still being taken care of so generously by the priests and seminarians of the St. Thomas Aquinas Seminary in Dillwyn, with even Father Yves le Roux, its rector, gracing us with his visits and Holy Masses. This work entails for them very busy weekends with many an hour of driving.

In my years as a journalist trying to fight the evils of this Bergoglian pontificate and the effects of the Second Vatican Council, my husband had thought it best that we do it for the Church as volunteers. With my husband in the background, counseling and editing my reports, we did not ask for reimbursements. We wanted to help our Church in distress, in gratitude for all that we have received from Our Lord and Our Lady.

Now I would ask you, should you have ever found some worth in my journalistic work, whether you could help give a donation to the fundraising campaign for the Immaculate Heart of Mary chapel in Front Royal. I would be so grateful to know that our family could have a safe haven of the faith, in order to raise our children and to grow ourselves in the faith.

But not only this: may many more souls profit from the witness and the many crosses that the SSPX bore for the whole Catholic Church, unto eternal life and salvation.

For those who have not yet studied the history of the SSPX and their work, I would direct them to Bishop Athanasius Schneider’s writings. In this book review here, I quote at length how he describes his own development with regard to his views on this Catholic apostolate. In light of this Bergoglian pontificate, Bishop Schneider admitted that we need to take the SSPX and its arguments more seriously. He wrote in his book Christus Vincit:

With the growing crisis in the Church, and especially given the situation created after the two Synods on the Family, the publication of Amoris Laetitia, Pope Francis’s approval of the pastoral guidelines of the bishops of the Buenos Aires region (which foresee, among other things, the admittance to Holy Communion of unrepentant adulterers), and the declaration on diversity of religions he signed in Abu Dhabi, I realized that we need to take the arguments of the SSPX more seriously.”

This Kazakh bishop has come to see the Second Vatican Council and its aftermath in a more critical light, as well. In a 2018 interview with the National Catholic Register‘s Edward Pentin, Bishop Schneider revealed what Pope Benedict XVI had once said about the founder of the SSPX, Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre and what he himself thinks of the Society:

Pope Benedict XVI once said about Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre: “He was a great bishop of the Catholic Church.” Pope Francis considers the SSPX as Catholic, and has expressed this publicly several times. Therefore, he seeks a pastoral solution, and he made the generous pastoral provisions of granting to the priests of the SSPX the ordinary faculty to hear confessions and conditional faculties to celebrate canonically marriage. The more the doctrinal, moral and liturgical confusion grows in the life of the Church, the more one will understand the prophetic mission of Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre in an extraordinary dark time of a generalized crisis of the Church.

(It seems that since its original publication, this interview has been partially edited. This quote still can be found, however, on Father Z’s website.)

But not only this: there is a living cardinal who at this point wishes to remain anonymous who has recently predicted that Archbishop Lefebvre will one day be declared a Doctor of the Church and that he was “prophetic.”

Last, but not least, Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò has come out in strong support of the work of Archbishop Lefebvre. In September of last year, he wroteto LifeSite’s Stephen Kokx:

I consider Archbishop Lefebvre an exemplary confessor of the Faith, and I think that by now it is obvious that his denunciation of the Council and the modernist apostasy is more relevant than ever. It should not be forgotten that the persecution to which Archbishop Lefebvre was subjected by the Holy See and the world episcopate served above all as a deterrent for Catholics who were refractory toward the conciliar revolution.

Furthermore, this Italian prelate also supports the consecrations of the four SSPX bishops in 1988 which gave them a protective shield from the onslaught of the Modernists:

“And if their [the SSPX’] fidelity made disobedience to the pope inevitable with the episcopal consecrations, thanks to them the Society was able to protect herself from the furious attack of the Innovators and by its very existence it allowed the possibility of the liberalization of the Ancient Rite, which until then was prohibited

RACISM IS A SIN AGAINST GOD WHO CREATED ALL MEN & WOMEN

THE CATHOLIC MONITOR

Might the White Rainbow Coalition be Racist & against the “Authority of God the Father” with the “Ultimate Goal is to Dethrone Him and take His Place”?

“I can understand why white gay people are angry. I certainly am. But let’s take a step back and look at this dispassionately. I believe our failure with the African American vote (70 percent voted in favor of Prop. has more to do with education levels than race. In general, people with lower levels of education – of any race – do not vote for gay rights. White people are twice as likely to graduate college as black people. This accounts for the difference by race on Prop. 8.” – Wayne Besen, 365Gay.com

Lawyer and author Scott Lively asked “why the rainbow?”:

Because the rainbow is the Biblical symbol most closely associated with the presence and authority of God the Father, and Satan’s ultimate goal is to dethrone Him and take His place. Ezekiel 1:28 states “As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD.” And Revelation 4:3 adds “behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne. And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne.” Satan, and therefore his Antichrist human host, will cloak himself in the rainbow as an essential element of his claim to be the Messiah. Again, the first mention of the rainbow is about its creation by God as a sign of His unilateral covenant never to destroy the earth again by flood (Genesis 9:8-17). Implicit in that covenant is the warning that His second and final destruction of the earth will be by fire. Peter explains this in 2 Peter 2:4-6 “God…did not spare the ancient world, but protected Noah…when He brought a flood upon the world of the ungodly and… He condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah to destruction by reducing them to ashes, having made them an example of what is coming for the ungodly.” There, too, is the unmistakable identification of the infamous “Sin of Sodom” as the ultimate harbinger of His Wrath. Now, to nip in the bud the “Christian Left” sophistry that deflects attention away from homosexuality to the sin of “pride,” let me stipulate that pride IS the sin at the very root of LGBT perversions, finding its most complete expression in homosexual copulation, as Moses noted in Leviticus 18:22, and Paul so eloquently explains in Romans 1:18-32. I’ll further stipulate that their other favorite deflection tactic re the “Sin of Sodom,” that the actual sin was “inhospitality,” is also true: there was no act in the ancient Hebrew culture so grossly inhospitable as the attempted homosexual gang rape of visiting strangers by “all the men of Sodom both young and old” described in Genesis 19:1-11. Thus, rampant homosexuality is the key symbol of ultimate rebellion triggering God’s wrath. And this was true in the case of Noah’s Flood as well, in that homosexual “marriage” triggered it, as Jesus implied in Matthew 24:37-38 (taken together with Genesis 6:5) and the ancient Hebrew rabbis expressly stated in the Talmud (Genesis Rabbah 26:5:4). Revelation 11, especially verses 7-8, confirms its association with the Kingdom of the Antichrist. Isaiah 3:8-11 warned the Judeans of God’s coming punishment for their sins: “For Jerusalem is ruined, and Judah is fallen: because their tongue and their doings are against the LORD, to provoke the eyes of his glory. The shew of their countenance doth witness against them; and they declare their sin as Sodom, they hide it not. Woe unto their soul! for they have rewarded evil unto themselves. Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings. Woe unto the wicked! it shall be ill with him: for the reward of his hands shall be given him.” Let this be America’s warning as it willingly hosts countless rainbow-emblazoned “Gay Pride” parades and flies the LGBT rainbow flag over every US Embassy in the world. THIS is the harbinger of wrath. And your attitude about pride in perversion is a big part of God’s litmus test for your fate. Shun the curse of the LGBT rainbow flag!

The Hypocrites Are Finally Showing All Of Their True Rainbow Colors, except the black color, that is.

Of all the many benefits that are now coming out of the passage of Prop. 8, there is one that is more gratifying then most: Gay activist leaders are finally letting their guard down so that their well-hidden and hideous racism and bigotry is finally starting to leak out.

I always knew it was there. Before I finally left the homosexual lifestyle for good nearly ten years ago, I was a long time witness to the grave racism that drives most white-dominated gay communities. I can recall many, many gay bars that went out of their way to make black men uncomfortable and unwanted. I have seen many black men who have been cast to the curb when seeking to have their say at the table of community and political discourse within elitist homosexual circles. And although I am no longer involved in homosexuality, it still bothers me to know of the pain that black men suffer at the hands of white homosexuals, as well as in other areas of our society.

There is a reason that Planned Parenthood and the homosexual political movement are so intertwined. Planned Parenthood was founded by Margaret Sanger, an avowed racist worshipper of Adolph Hitler. The ideology of Sanger and her ilk can be seen in the racism that is still a driving force within the elitist mindset of the homosexual political machine. And it is no wonder that homosexual activists have gone to great extremes to take over the civil rights movement in America so that they can gain dominance and control over the black leaders who have been historically in charge of the civil rights movement. Go to any Martin Luther King celebration and you will find white homosexual leaders, who have absolutely nothing in common with the grave injustices committed against blacks in America, running the celebrations and rememberance events.

Now, take a look at the disgusting verbage coming out of one of the gay political machine’s most anti-christian bigots: Wayne Besen.

There is perhaps, no person in America who demonstrates more hatred and bigotry towards Christian Evangelicals than does Wayne Besen. Often masking his hatred by arguing that his disgust for Christians is because he claims they are so discriminatory, Besen is really a bigoted timebomb just waiting to blow up and reveal the depravity of his truely dark nature. Fortunately, Prop. 8 has now caused him to reveal that bigoted nature for all of the world to see.

In his latest rant against Prop. 8 and the African American heroes who helped pass the California Marriage Protection Amendment, Besen states some really deplorable and demeaning racist statements against the Black Community. Yet, for one who has spent years yodeling his intolerant and hateful religious bigotry, it comes as no surprise that this bigot would hit blacks below the belt as Besen has so wickedly done. And there is little doubt as to why Besen has been embraced by the closeted racist gay leaders who agree with his extremist anti-christian rhetoric. (There’s that Margaret Sanger connection showing up again).

In his latest column for 365Gay.com, Wayne Besen has this to say about black voters who supported Prop. 8:

“I can understand why white gay people are angry. I certainly am.
But let’s take a step back and look at this dispassionately. I believe our failure with the African American vote (70 percent voted in favor of Prop. has more to do with education levels than race. In general, people with lower levels of education – of any race – do not vote for gay rights. White people are twice as likely to graduate college as black people. This accounts for the difference by race on Prop. 8.”

Besen says that “people with lower levels of education” do not vote for gay rights.

And then there is this KKK-friendly verbage from Besen in his column:

“Uneducated people – black, white and Hispanic – often derive their power from physical strength.”

“Mastah, shall I get the mule out to pick us zum cotton, sir? I’ze sure that my strength iz gonna bring uz sum sure enuff good money this year, sir.”

“See boy, you ain’t never gonna mount to nuthin’, cause you can’t be smart, just big and physical, boy. That’s right! Now get on out there and bring me that cotton…boy. Hurry up, I need that cotton to make me some rainbow flags.”

We now are left to wonder which chapter of the KKK does Besen belong to? The nauseating racism that comes out of this mouthpiece for the radicalized gay political machine also leaves us to ponder just how many other homosexual leaders are as equally racist as Besen clearly appears to be.

The idea that one must be of a lower education because one does not support gay rights is a thought straight out of Hitler’s Nazi Germany and David Duke’s Southern United States restaurant for the dining impaired. Apparently, Besen has been secretly feasting on Mein Kamp…
…
Besen just cannot control the racism that oozes from the festering void within his soul now that Prop. 8 has passed by those Christian brothas’. After divulging the bigoted inner sanctum that lies within, Wayne Besen then has the audacity to offer his “solutions” to what he sees as “the lack of education” among black voters (only those who don’t support homosexuality are uneducated according to Besen — don’t you dare forget that either.)

Besen Solution: “We must air public service announcements with people like former basketball star Charles Barkley – who is a tough guy and supporter of same-sex marriage. We must show masculine African American figures who are supportive, every chance we get. “
[… ]Besen adds this twisted reminder of how utterly idiotic his racism really is: “But, remember, uneducated people – of all races – are not students of history. They react to the environment around them, which often rewards homophobia.”

The old Nazi racial elitism sought to eliminate those who they deemed to be of lesser value to humanity. As homosexual leaders like Besen continue to elevate their status through the devaluing of those who do not line up with their tyrannical ideologies, the world will begin to see the homosexual political machine increase their attacks on all groups, races and beliefs which do not bow to their “educated” standards

ACLU Has Always Been Political
June 8, 2021
Catholic League president Bill Donohue comments on the politics of the ACLU:
Michael Powell has done some great work at the New York Times, and his lengthy 3615-word article on the ACLU that was published June 7 is no exception.
I know the ACLU well. As part of my Ph.D. dissertation on the ACLU that I did at NYU, I interviewed the founder of the organization in 1978. I have also authored two books on the ACLU, as well as many articles and pamphlets. There are some aspects of the ACLU that Powell did not address but are worth mentioning.
“ACLU is Torn Over Free Speech Mission and New Voice” is the title of his story. In actual fact, from the very beginning the ACLU was never the kind of principled free speech advocate that many have long believed it was. Moreover, as Powell details, the “new voices”—meaning the unprincipled ones—are ascendant; the role of non-partisan civil libertarians is declining.
When Roger Baldwin founded the ACLU in 1920 (the current leadership falsely claims there were ten founders of the organization—there was only one), he did so to serve the interests of labor, using free speech as a means to that end. This explains why the ACLU did not protest Prohibition (which Baldwin later regretted) and why it sided with the Communist Party. In the 1920s, Baldwin went to the Soviet Union and published a book about his experience, “Liberty Under the Soviets.”
In 1934, when millions of Ukrainians were being massacred by Stalin, Baldwin wrote, “I champion civil liberties as the best non-violent means of building the power on which workers’ rule must be based….When that power of the working class is once achieved, as it has been only in the Soviet Union, I am for maintaining it by any means whatever.”
I titled my first book, “The Politics of the ACLU,” to challenge the myth that it has always been a principled civil liberties institution. To be sure, it has won many important victories, and it has long been home to some of the most distinguished civil libertarians in American history (e.g., the late Nat Hentoff and Alan Dershowitz), but there are also too many cases where it has patently violated its purported mission as a non-partisan watchdog.
In the 1930s, the ACLU threatened a libel suit against the American Mercury because it published an article that was critical of the organization. It led to quite a public dustup at the time when both the ACLU and the magazine decided to enlist the famous Baltimore journalist, H.L. Mencken, to review both sides and offer his assessment. He concluded that there was nothing libelous about the article and that the ACLU was not a non-partisan entity. For that he was called a “fascist” by some of the ACLU’s leaders.
In the 1940s and 1950s, the ACLU moderated its policies, mostly in response to threats occasioned by World War II. For the first time, it balanced national security issues with individual rights, showing more deference to the former than ever before. It even went so far as to justify the internment of 110,000 Japanese Americans. To this day the ACLU falsely claims that it opposed the internment. The national organization did not; only the Northern California affiliate did.
From the 1960s to the turn of the century, the ACLU turned left again—taking up non-civil liberties issues such as economic justice. Its extremist positions on narcotics, pornography (including child porn), prostitution, students’ rights, prisoners’ rights, and the like, evinced an atomistic view of society, one that showed little interest in the need to balance individual rights with individual responsibilities.
The ACLU did not become fully politicized until Anthony Romero took over as executive director in 2001. As the New York Times story demonstrates, the ACLU today has evolved into a highly partisan organization that balks at defending conservative speech while embracing the left-wing agenda. It talks more about white supremacy than it does civil liberties, traditionally understood.
Romero is driven by ideology and money. He is further to the left than any of his predecessors, and his fundraising ambitions make him sound more like an activist for the Southern Poverty Law Center than the ACLU.
Not surprisingly, religious liberty, which was never a priority, is now seen through the lens of the LGBT agenda, making it a threat to their “progressive” cause. The ACLU never lifted a finger to help falsely accused priests and it left unchallenged state restrictions on houses of worship during the pandemic. And, of course, it considers the rights of the unborn to be non-existent.
In other words, while there is some truth to claim that the ACLU is “torn over its free speech mission,” it is not exactly a 50-50 split. There are still some principled officials left, but most of them have departed. Just as the Democratic Party has moved sharply left, the ACLU has as well, even to the point of funding Democratic candidates for public office.
Baldwin, who started as a Communist sympathizer and moved toward the middle, would not recognize what it has become.
