Today, The Epoch Times reported President Donald Trump “attorney, Linda Kerns, was ‘the subject of threats of harm, to the point at which the involvement of police and US Marshals has been necessary to provide for her safety'”:
A Philadelphia lawyer who had represented the Trump campaign was placed under official protection after receiving “threats of harm,” according to court papers that were filed Wednesday night.
The attorney, Linda Kerns, was “the subject of threats of harm, to the point at which the involvement of police and US Marshals has been necessary to provide for her safety,” the filing stated (pdf.)
Judge Matthew Brann also allowed Kerns to be “withdrawn as counsel” for the Trump campaign, according to a court filing.
Earlier this week, Kerns sought sanctions against a lawyer working for a law firm representing Democratic Pennsylvania Secretary of State Kathy Boockvar after she received harassment and a threatening phone call over the weekend in connection to her representation of President Donald Trump’s campaign. Whatever one’s views on the virus — whether it remains an existential threat or, contrarily, prompts overreactive lockdowns that are more harmful and maybe even deadlier than the virus itself — nothing much has changed since Election Day. Or did viral perceptions suddenly change? The pandemic certainly no longer serves as an election lever to demagogue President Trump as a veritable killer. States such as California are under near-complete lockdown. Draconian measures will abbreviate Thanksgiving gatherings in a way unprecedented in U.S. history. Yet elites such as California Gov. Gavin Newsom and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) have violated the quarantines they have endorsed. Following the media announcement that Joe Biden would likely become president, crowds swarmed into the streets of San Francisco and Los Angeles. They violated every state mandate requiring masks and social distancing. Authorities did nothing — just as they had done nothing during the summer-long protesting and rioting. Apparently, some outdoor gatherings were correct; others, not so much. A similar warping of science accompanied news about the possible rollout of a COVID-19 vaccine. Julie Kelly of the conservative website American Greatness has documented the changing narratives about the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine. Pfizer is one of five companies in line to receive massive federal funding under the Trump administration’s Operation Warp Speed program to hasten mass vaccinations. Such an ambitious program is unmatched in the history of viral epidemiology. Another company in the program, Moderna, announced promising results from a clinical trial on Nov. 16. Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla predicted in early September that by the end of October, his company would offer a preliminary announcement concerning the safety and effectiveness of his company’s vaccine. His forecast was met with apprehension on the left. Any positive assessment was seen by the left as political, validating the Trump administration’s rapid response to the virus shortly before the election. Yet on Oct. 27, a week before the election, Pfizer corrected Bourla’s earlier estimate. The company claimed any such declaration would follow rather than precede the election. “For us, the election is an artificial milestone,” Bourla said. “This is going to be not a Republican vaccine or a Democrat vaccine. It will be a vaccine for the citizens of the world.” Admirable rhetoric. But a few days after the election, Pfizer abruptly announced that in mass human trials, its vaccine had proven 90 percent effective and safe after all. Still odder than the recalibrated timing was what the company did next. First, a Pfizer official claimed that the company had never been part of Operation Warp Speed. In an earlier press release, Pfizer had bragged about being an integral player in the multibillion-dollar federal effort to rush the vaccine into use. The day after the denial about being part of the program, a company spokesman conceded that the company is, in fact, part of Operation Warp Speed. Second, Pfizer gave notice of its purported breakthrough not in a press conference or a communique to the sitting president. Instead, according to Joe Biden, the company contacted his campaign’s “public health advisers.” Apparently, Pfizer had, in fact, been guided by the “artificial milestone” of the election, even if inadvertently. Or was Pfizer trying to gain political support for its vaccine rollout from Biden, who was an overwhelming favorite in almost all the pre-election polls? Members of Biden’s campaign team told Bloomberg News that Biden advisers had met with officials at companies that are working on vaccines before the election. Why would Pfizer act in such a way? Perhaps because skeptics Biden and running mate Kamala Harris had downplayed the notion of a Trump push to get millions of Americans vaccinated. Weeks before the election and the expected Pfizer announcement, Biden had scoffed: “I trust vaccines. I trust scientists. But I don’t trust Donald Trump.” Harris demonized a potential Operation Warp Speed vaccine during a vice presidential debate: “If Donald Trump tells us to take it, I’m not taking it.” Before the election, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, derided the notion of a pre-election vaccine announcement. After the Pfizer announcement, Cuomo blasted the Trump administration, claiming it should get no credit for the speed of the vaccine development but lots of blame for a predicted slow rollout. Irony abounds. Those who accused Trump of playing politics with the virus made him look like a relative amateur through their own machinations. Those who claimed they were guided by science proved unscientific in their partisanship. The feat is drawing praise from far-flung corners of the Italian American business community, which sees the thanks of a grateful administration as key to the revival of the community’s political influence. But an associate says that Merlino might just be willing to flip on Joe Biden and the Pennsylvania political operatives who ordered up some 300,000 election ballots marked for Biden. The source alleges that Merlino and a lean team of associates manufactured those ballots at a rate of $10 per ballot — a whopping $3 million for three days of work. They were then packaged into non-descript cardboard boxes and dropped off outside the Philadelphia Convention Center. Sources who spoke to The Chronicle on the condition of anonymity say that Merlino picked up those ballots from two private households where a trusted handful of associates were busily marking ballots with Sharpie markers. They were paid more than $1,000 per hour, often producing thousands of ballots every hour for more than 60 nearly-consecutive hours. The ballots were purchased in cash. ‘Skinny Joey’ Merlino was granted early release from a two-year prison stint earlier this year. If President Trump is willing to offer him a full pardon for current misdeeds and an expungement of past misdeeds, Merlino would be likely to offer stunning testimony before Congress about how the election was stolen. It’s thought that Democratic Party operatives working inside Philadelphia’s election office provided Merlino with crates of raw ballots just hours before polls closed on election night, which he transported to two private households in South Philadelphia. By 10 p.m. that night Merlino’s operation was already generating more than 3,000 ballots per hour, which quickly scaled to more than 6,000 ballots per hour before midnight. But now, Merlino might just be willing to flip on Biden — in primetime Congressional testimony — if President Donald J. Trump is willing to issue the longtime mobster a full expungement of his decades-long criminal record. And, of course, Merlino wants to be pardoned for the election fraud itself and any crimes to which he may incriminate himself during his testimony. “He wants a clean record. He wants to fish and hunt on federal lands. He’d really like a job with the National Parks Service. You need a clean record to get those things,” explains one confidant. “But most of all he wants the thanks of a grateful nation for coming forward.” Some have postulated that Merlino would be well suited to host a new Bravo series under development called “The Real Gentlemen of Philadelphia”, modeled loosely on that network’s ‘Real Housewives’ franchise. That deal could come with a $2 million per season paycheck. “He wouldn’t mind a little fame — or a lot of fame,” he jokes. “If he comes forward he’ll probably get a book deal and a movie franchise.” Political observers believe that Merlino could sell the rights of his story to a major Hollywood production studio for more than $20 million, and a book deal could yield as much as $10 million. “You have to understand the thing about Skinny Joey is that he is very charismatic and knows how to tell an enthralling story,” the associate explains. “He’d be an incredible movie narrator, and he’d perform excellently in congressional testimony. He could hit that testimony so far out of the ballpark that he becomes a superstar instantaneously — a real celebrity presence.” The damning congressional testimony — being tentatively dubbed ‘The Biggest Heist in Political History’ — could make it politically impossible for the Republican-controlled legislature in Pennsylvania to certify the State’s 20 electoral votes.

Cyrus the Great was a towering figure of world history who is credited with founding the first empire, who was the first man ever to be called “Great,” and who delivered the Jews from Babylonian captivity in 539 BC, yet he himself was not a member of the Jewish religion.
Moreover, he benevolently encouraged over 40,000 Jews to return to their Jewish homeland and he funded the restoration and rebuilding of the Jewish temple. In the Book of Isaias, God speaks of Cyrus the Great to come. “Thus saith the Lord to my anointed Cyrus, whose right hand I have taken hold of, to subdue nations before his face, and to turn the backs of kings, and to open the doors before him, and the gates shall not be shut. I will go before thee, and will humble the great ones of the earth … For the sake of my servant Jacob, and Israel my elect, I have even called thee by thy name: I have made a likeness of thee, and thou hast not known me… I have raised him up to justice, and I will direct all his ways: he shall build my city, and let go my captives, not for ransom, nor for presents, saith the Lord the God of hosts.” (45: 1,2,4,13)
Bear in mind that while the Old Testament prophecies often refer to events yet to occur in the Old Testament, they sometimes also refer to events to come in the latter days of Christendom. For example, the prophet Joel says, “And it shall come to pass in the last days, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy: your old men shall dream dreams, and your young men shall see visions…. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood: before the great and dreadful day of the Lord doth come.” (Joel 2: 28,31)
The Apostle Peter explains that this verse from Joel was fulfilled with the outpouring of the Holy Ghost on Pentecost (Acts 2:16-21), but at the same time it also refers to the last days just before Christ’s Second Coming when God will again pour out His Spirit through a Great Illumination. (See also Isaias 24: 21-23 and Apocalypse 6:12-17)
A Latter Day Cyrus
Similarly, Isaias prophesied the noble deeds of Cyrus the Great, which were fulfilled in 539 BC, but this prophecy also seems to reference a Cyrus figure of the last times, which we might understand to be President Donald Trump.
For he too is something of a Gentile who has had multi-wives. And while Trump is not an official member of the One True Apostolic Church (prefigured by the old Jewish Faith), he nonetheless is a very prominent figure whom God has raised up to deliver America from the captivity of a Babylonian New World Order. For Trump has rebuked and stood against the U.N. for its attempts to undermine U.S. sovereignty and globalize America. Accordingly, he has built up our military, guarded our borders, created 5.3 million new jobs and has brought American commerce abroad back home.
In every which way he has sought to defend the life and liberty of our predominately Christian nation, which more and more is being shackled by globalists, and has stood by the Christian sector in their attempts to reopen their churches against political pharaohs who lord it over them.
Moreover, he has defended the unborn like no other president of U.S. history, being the first president ever to participate in the annual March for Life, and has completely cut U.S. tax-funding for any groups abroad that promote and provide abortion, and has gone to bat for the cause of religious liberty and traditional family values against a daily barrage of media attacks that he endures for the cause. Like a true Republican he has stood with the people, enduring their pains, while continually encouraging them on to victory – a victory that unquestionably could change the course of history.
Is it any wonder that a man of his stature might make the Scriptures? In a similar way that the exodus wrought by God through the hand of Moses prefigured how Christ would come to deliver us from the bondage of sin, so it appears that Cyrus the Great prefigured a latter-day Cyrus who would rise up to revive the cause of the loyal and true.
Providential Marvels
That the Cyrus prophesied in Isaias might be a figure of President Trump should not seem outlandish. If one finds this far-fetched, let him consider the number of the chapter, for it is Isaias chapter45. POTUS 45 anyone?
The hand of providence certainly suggests he was meant to be the illustrious leader of America. For instance, on June 14, 1777, the Continental Congress adopted the “Stars and Stripes” as the official American flag, whereupon June 14 from thence would be recognized as “Flag Day.”
June 14 also happens to be Donald Trump’s birthday; he was born June 14, 1946. When we add the month and day of his birth (6 + 14) it comes out to 20. When we add the numbers of the year (1-9-4-6) it also comes out to 20, for a total of 2020 – the historic election year wherein he is expected to score a big victory.
Our prayer is that he will “trump” Biden and the socialists and finally clinch the 2020 election so that he can continue his mission to resurrect America from the swamp of Globalism that is continuing to sink our American liberties.
“For the Lord knoweth all knowledge, and hath beheld the signs of the world, he declareth the things that are past, and the things that are to come, and revealed the traces of hidden things. No thought escapeth him, and no word can hide itself from him.” (Ecclesiasticus 42:19)

The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops is a bloated, corrupt organization teeming with left-wing bureaucrats who don’t have the Church’s best interests at heart. Crisis Magazine has said so on several occasions. It remains our opinion that all Catholics—laymen, priests, and bishops—would be better off without it.
That said, the USCCB’s committee elections at this week’s annual Fall General Assembly provide a glimpse into the minds of our bishops. On Monday, during their annual Fall General Assembly, the Conference elected a new slate of chairmen to head their various initiatives, and their selections are telling.
1) Committee for Religious Liberty: Timothy Cardinal Dolan, Archbishop of New York
Cardinal Dolan’s standing among his brother-bishops has been in flux lately. Originally seen as a moderate conservative, His Eminence’s great personal charisma and large popular following made him one of the most powerful bishops in the history of this country. He was probably the first American to be a serious contender for the papacy.
His stock began to fall over the years, however, as it became clear that Cardinal Dolan’s winsomeness wouldn’t be enough to see the Church through the sex abuse scandal. Though prayer and penance became the order of the day, His Eminence refused to give up his lavish digs in Manhattan or his French chef.
Cardinal Dolan also appeared to soften on his social witness. His astonishing decision to serve as Grand Master of the New York City’s Saint Patrick’s Day Parade—a fundamentally religious event—despite the presence of LGBT “rights” groups. This baffling decision that led his conservative supporters to abandon him in droves.
Lately, however, His Eminence has begun to turn back. In a 2018 op-ed for The Wall Street Journal he condemned the Democrats (who run his city and donate heavily to his diocese) for their embrace of a radical pro-choice agenda. In another op-ed for the Journal earlier this year, he decried the iconoclasts who destroy public monuments they deem to be politically incorrect.
Many were nevertheless surprised to see him offer a prayer during the 2020 Republican National Convention, making him the most senior American prelate to align with the Trump Administration. He opened his prayer: “Let us pray—and pray we must, as grateful citizens of a country we boldly claim to be ‘one nation under God.’ Pray we must, praising the Lord for a country where freedom of religion is so cherished.”
Talk is cheap, of course. Yet, as the Vatican continues to promote “pastoral” bishops to the Sacred College, Dolan’s acts of defiance—however small—have no doubt made him enemies among the progressive ranks. His election to the Committee for Religious Liberty signals the American bishops’ general support for President Trump’s agenda on religious freedom. It may also serve a warning to their wayward lamb, Joe Biden.
2) Committee on Catholic Education: Bishop Thomas Daly of Spokane
Bishop Daly succeeds Bishop Michael Barber of Oakland, a solid conservative who has worked hard to purge his diocese of actively homosexual priests. Still, Bishop Daly is a fascinating choice. He was little known on the national stage until just this year, when the CEO of Catholic Charities in Eastern Washington declared his support for the Black Lives Matter movement and called the Church “racist.”
Bishop Daly not only defended the Church, as others might have done, but he made some trenchant observations about BLM itself. He explained that the movement “is in conflict with Church teaching regarding marriage, family and the sanctity of life. Moreover, it is disturbing that BLM has not vocally condemned the recent violence that has torn apart so many cities. Its silence has not gone unheard. One need not stand with BLM to stand for black lives.”
Again, just words. But, during the initial George Floyd riots, a small group of powerful bishops—most notably, Wilton Gregory of Washington—came out in support of BLM. This, too, may have been a means for the U.S. bishops to register their dissatisfaction with those bishops’ support for the Black Lives Matter movement.
3) Committee on Pro-Life Activities: Archbishop William Lori of Baltimore
Archbishop Lori is a company man through and through. His Excellency helped Theodore McCarrick draft the Dallas Charter. He has also condemned official Black Lives Matter movement, but basically buys into their race-baiting narrative. He was one of those who rushed to condemn the Covington Catholic students long before all the facts were in, and his diocese has been very accommodating to LGBT ideology.
Archbishop Lori replaces the excellent Joseph Naumann, Archbishop of Kansas City in Kansas. When Naumann was first elected to the Committee on Pro-Life Activities, he beat out papal favorite Blase Cardinal Cupich. It was a resounding expression of the U.S. bishops’ dislike for that odious prelate, who once banned his seminarians from participating in prayer vigils outside of Planned Parenthood clinics.
Archbishop Lori isn’t committed to the “consistent ethic of life” thing, but Archbishop Naumann was a firm opponent of that error. As he wrote in a 2007 essay for First Things, “Those issues that involve intrinsic evils—direct attacks on human life, abortion, euthanasia, embryonic stem cell research, or direct attacks on the institution of the family… must assume a moral priority.” That’s the sort of man you want at the helm.
4) Committee for Communications: Bishop Robert Reed of Boston
Bishop Reed made his name as head of CatholicTV, the multimedia wing of the Archdiocese of Boston. Bishop Reed is basically apolitical, though he favorably impressed many conservatives by spending twenty-four straight hours in Adoration as reparation for the McCarrick scandal.
The Committee for Communications isn’t glamorous, but it’s quite important. As chairman, Bishop Reed has oversight of (among other things) Catholic News Service, the USCCB’s media arm, one of the most widely-read news sources in the country. It’s a serious responsibility for a young auxiliary bishop. One can assume it’s really a stepping-stone, either to a quasi-independent media apostolate like Bishop Barron’s or a major metropolitan archdiocese—perhaps even Boston.
5) National Collections Committee: Bishop James Wall of Gallup
This is an interesting choice. Bishop Wall is a “reform of the reform” conservative best known for introducing ad oriemtem worship at his cathedral. His letter explaining the decision begins:
Recently Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI released a powerful letter, in which he touched on a number of topics, including especially the sexual abuse crisis that has impacted the Church and even society as a whole. In his letter, he also addressed the Eucharist. He acknowledged, and rightfully so, that we have become too lax in our approach to the Eucharist. There were a number of reasons for this, even extreme cases when Holy Communion has been distributed to non-Catholics at weddings and other large events for the sake of “inclusion.” We know, however, that such “inclusivity” is actually quite dangerous, for it can put someone’s soul at risk in the name of not hurting feelings.
Any promotion for a solid, orthodox bishop like Wall can only be good news.
6)Committee on Doctrine: Bishop Daniel Flores of Brownsville
When he was appointed to Brownsville in 2010, Bishop Flores was considered a rising star in the U.S. hierarchy, and his rise continues unabated.
Bishop Flores likes Thomas Aquinas, Lord of the Rings, Frank Sinatra, and (apparently) cigarettes. He has been a firm supporter of the Latin Mass community in his large diocese. Like most bishops, he takes a fairly progressive view on immigration. But he’s solidly orthodox on all other counts, including life issues. Again, his promotion can only bode well for the Church going forward.
During the meeting, USCCB president Archbishop José Gomez warned the Conferencethat Joe Biden has
given us reason to believe that he will support policies that are against some fundamental values that we hold dear as Catholics. These policies include the repeal of the Hyde Amendment and the preservation of Roe vs. Wade. Both of these policies undermine our preeminent priority of the elimination of abortion.
These policies pose a serious threat to the common good, whenever any politician supports them. We have long opposed these policies strongly, and we will continue to do so. But when politicians who profess the Catholic faith support them, there are additional problems. Among other things, it creates confusion among the faithful about what the Church actually teaches on these questions.
It will be Bishop Flores’s job to dispel any such confusion.
Should Mr. Biden take office, the bishops have signaled their willingness to confront him on the “preeminent priority.” Let’s pray that Our Lady to give them the courage to follow through.

If you regularly watch Fox News and have been noticing something feels “off” with their election coverage, you’re not wrong. Around a year ago, conservative political wonks turned off Fox News for good. The reason why has to do with events that unfolded in 2019. What did these conservative news junkies see that the rest of us missed? And, why does it matter now?
Event Number One: The Passing of the Torch
Rupert Murdoch was the media titan who built and developed Fox News into America’s conservative news juggernaut. Murdoch had six children. Of the six, his two sons Lachlan and James were in contention to take over Fox News even though both of them had openly repudiated Rupert’s conservative politics. In 2019, Lachlan officially took over the reigns of Fox News. James, the more liberal of the two, opted to invest a large portion of his multi-billion dollar inheritance in liberal media ventures. Once Lachlan took charge, his goal was to move Fox News left. His moves were no surprise to insiders considering his public ties to climate change activism, donating to the Clinton Foundation, and proudly taking responsibility for pushing Bill O’Reilley off the network. It’s worth noting that Fox Business is a separate entity from Fox News, even though both channels are owned by a new, scaled-back Fox Network.
Event Number Two: Fox News Hires the Hater
In March 2019, Fox News made a shocking move by hiring former DNC Committee Chief, Donna Brazile. Brazile was famously fired from the DNC and CNN for leaking debate questions to Hillary Clinton prior to a 2016 Presidential Debate against Donald Trump. Another WTF hire was the failed VP Candidate, Paul Ryan. Ryan was named to the Fox News Board of Directors in March, 2019. The well-known “never Trumper” routinely stonewalled President Trump’s agenda as the Speaker of the House.
Event Number Three: “Shut-Up, Or Else…”Just a month ago, Newt Gingrich’s mic was cut when he had the audacity to utter the name George Soros in an interview on Harris Faulkner’s Fox News show, Overtime Outnumbered. During the interview the conversation moved into a discussion on political funding. Gingrich was presenting indisputable facts about Soros’s well-known financial backing of many extremely left-leaning political organizations. The mic cut surprised both Faulkner and Gingrich which led to a long, awkward, pregnant silence on air. Was Gingrich’s censorship a signal to other conservative voices?
Fast forward to this past week, Judge Jeanine Pirro, the host of Justice W/Jeanine on Fox News since 2011 announced the topic of her weekly show. The topic: Election Fraud. However, she was fired/suspended before her segment aired. Was Pirro’s firing meant to send a message to other popular Fox News hosts?
Just days after Pirro’s firing and Biden’s bogus campaign victory speech, Laura Ingram the host of the Ingram Angle stunned Republicans. On her show, she took it upon herself to offer President Trump advice on how to act graciously upon his pending election concession. It was uncharacteristic of Ingram to take this defeatist position considering she consistently supported President Trump throughout his first term. As a former clerk to Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, Ingram knows the law and knows the election is far from officially decided.
Next, Tucker Carlson. With the highest ratings of any cable news show in the days leading up to November 3rd, where is he now that the blatant election fraud is being exposed? Strangely quiet given Carlson’s fierce commitment to our Republic. Then, there’s Hannity. If anyone deserves to be called a Trump fan-boy, it’s Sean Hannity. Even he is noticeably restrained in his election coverage. Hannity knows full-well President Trump won in a landslide on Nov. 3rd, and remains the winner even after the Dem’s election fxxkery. Why isn’t Hannity crying foul? Then there’s Chris Wallace. His performance as a debate moderator drew such harsh criticism from both political sides, his professional reputation may not ever recover.
Here IS what’s going on at Fox NewsWith just 73% of the votes counted in Arizona around midnight on November 3rd, Fox News made a stunning call, falsely awarding the win of the battleground state to Joe Biden. Now that we know the true nature of Fox News, have seen blatant election fraud, and seen a pattern of silence from the top talent on the channel; is it so far-fetched to think Fox News is playing a role in all of this?
There is no question the 2020 election is rampant with fraud and it continues. Proof is mounting, whistleblowers are coming forward, even Supreme Court injunctions have been issued. All of this will be investigated and litigated through the courts. Rudy Giuliani and the rest of the Trump legal team have vowed to fight. And, for good reason. The law is on Trump’s side. Recall this past summer when President Trump repeatedly warned America about mail-in voting and election fraud? Everything that’s happening now was anticipated by the Trump team, well in advance. Nothing so far has been a surprise to The President and his team.
Now that the fraud has been executed, it relies on two key factors to actually succeed. Play number one is “lawfare”. The election fraud is designed to stir up chaos, forcing the election to be decided by the courts, rather than at the ballot box. How the Dems are weaponizing the law to manage the election outcome is called lawfare. The Dems are great at this. Remember Hillary’s numerous provable felonies when she mishandled top secret information on her personal server? The head of the FBI, Comey, called it a “matter” not a “crime”. A crime can be legally prosecuted, a matter cannot. See what they did there? Effective lawfare. Hillary walked.
The second key play is the “information war”. This is where Fox News is playing a key role. Here’s the breakdown: Fox News delivered blatantly fake news by calling AZ a win for Biden. They delivered the lie early. So early in fact, Fox News dominated the news cycle and grabbed control of the election narrative going forward. Fox News is attempting to position President Trump as the loser who is fighting a losing battle against fake election fraud in the courts, because he can’t take the L. Having Fox News deliver this news is part of the plan in order to give the lie credibility. To add extra credence to the hoax, the management at Fox News has succeeded in manipulating their top talent to support the fake narrative. The left is counting on the average Trump supporter to believe the lie since it comes from the trusted, “conservative” Fox News and its top personalities. The rationale goes like this: If Fox News is reporting Trump lost AZ, it must be true. Why would Fox lie about the Republican candidate to their Republican audience?
Do not underestimate the power and effectiveness of the “information war”. It’s meant to demoralize Trump supporters, weak-kneed Republican politicians, law enforcement, the military, foreign leaders etc. The left does not want an energized, organized opposition fighting for America’s election integrity. What we’re seeing now isn’t the Dem’s kill-shot, they’re trying to soften the target. The mainstream media knows it can make any claims about who won the election without consequences, especially since it’s a coordinated attack. They need Trump supporters to give up and concede in order to win.
For the people who want a free and fair election, internalize this: the media doesn’t decide elections. Trump won in a landslide. The Dems cheated to try to win. Every legal vote will be counted so states can legally certify official results. All the criminal participants from local election officials to the head(s) of the fraud operation will be prosecuted. None of this will happen quickly, but it will happen. Trump and his team are in full control of this fight. As he came off his well-deserved round of golf over the weekend, his only quote was, “We’re gonna win. Wait.” The only outstanding question is, are you going to give the opposition what they want? Are you going to get weak, loose hope, and abandon our duly elected President?
Where to go from here?
It’s critical for us all to combat the “information war”. This means staying informed with real, accurate news and sharing it with our friends, families, and neighbors. It’s not easy because social media platforms and the coordinated mainstream media have created an information firewall. However, with a little persistence, sharing with our networks by using word-of-mouth neutralizes the firewall. By texting, emailing, and conversing we are creating our own media network that offers more information that is being hidden from everyone. So, the question becomes where to find real news to share since Fox News has proven to be a turd in a tuxedo.
It’s time to switch to alternative news sources. To make the jump, it takes some temporary “getting used-to”. Be prepared for things like: lower production quality, occasional technical glitches, and watching on other devices — unless you put in a little work to figure out how to connect your phone or internet to your TV. It may take downloading a new app, or visiting a new site. These minor short-term inconveniences are worth it to get real, honest news.

Newsroom, Nov 17, 2020 / 07:52 am MT (CNA).- The Vatican’s Congregation for Bishops has ordered an investigation into Bishop Oscar Cantu’s handling of allegations of clerical sexual abuse and misconduct. The investigation is being carried out under the provisions of Vos estis lux mundi, Pope Francis’ 2019 law for holding bishops accountable in the handling of sexual abuse cases.
Senior sources in the Vatican told CNA that the investigation was ordered by Cardinal Marc Ouellet, prefect of the Congregation for Bishops, in October and that the allegations concern Cantu’s handling of abuse and misconduct cases in his former diocese of Las Cruces, New Mexico. Cantu is now Bishop of San Jose, California.
One senior official in the Vatican congregation, who spoke to CNA on condition of anonymity because the investigation is confidential, said that Pope Francis has adopted a “zero tolerance” policy with regard to American bishops’ handling of clerical sexual misconduct.
“The Holy Father is absolutely firm that cases of abuse will not be tolerated. He is also firm that bishops must treat all of these cases with complete seriousness,” the official said.
The official went on to note that while the recently published report on the career of former cardinal Theodore McCarrick has been met with criticism in some media quarters, it would be wrong to assume no lessons have been learned from McCarrick’s case.
“The report on Theodore McCarrick was very long: long as a report and long in making the report,” he said. “The idea that past failings have not been identified and learned from is simply not true – work is being done, the new process is being applied.”
The investigation into Bishop Cantu concerns alleged actions or inactions in cases of clerical sexual misconduct in the Diocese of Las Cruces, where Cantu served as bishop from 2013 to 2018.
Vatican officials confirmed to CNA that the investigation is being carried out under the terms of Article 1, §1, b of Vos estis, which concerns “actions or omissions intended to interfere with or avoid civil investigations or canonical investigations, whether administrative or penal, against a cleric or a religious” in cases of sexual abuse.
A second Vatican official emphasized to CNA that Vos estis investigations are preliminary, and that no formal charges have been brought as yet.
“This is not a trial – not a trial,” he stressed. “The bishop has every presumption of innocence and remains in office, as is proper. The process will continue and develop as is appropriate.”
Both officials declined to comment on the specific accusations against Cantu, or whether they concern any clergy still in ministry.
Both officials told CNA the investigation is being overseen by Bishop Thomas Olmsted of Phoenix. Vos estis ordinarily foresees that the local metropolitan archbishop, in this case Archbishop John Wester of Santa Fe.
It is not clear why Olmsted was preferred to Wester; neither Vatican official commented to CNA on the reasons for the decision, but they confirmed Olmsted had been informed of the decision in late October via the apostolic nuncio in Washington, D.C.
In response to questions regarding the investigation and Olmsted’s role in it, the Diocese of Phoenix told CNA it did “not have any information to share on this matter.”
A spokesperson for the Diocese of San Jose told CNA Monday evening that “Bishop Cantu has not been notified of any inquiry regarding this matter.”
Vos estis lux mundi offers latitude for Vatican offices to decide the stage at which a bishop under investigation is notified of that fact. A source close to the investigation into Cantu told CNA that the bishop is not expected to be formally notified in this case until the conclusion of the preliminary investigation, at which time Cantu will be permitted to offer a defense of allegations against him.
The Diocese of Las Cruces has faced multiple accusations of sexual abuse against clergy, dating back decades.
In February 2019, after Cantu had left the diocese, it ordered the public release of thousands of pages of diocesan records concerning 28 priests who had been credibly accused of sexual abuse.
Also in February last year, the dioceseannounced that chancery officials had voluntarily handed over diocesan personnel files to the New Mexico Attorney General, and that they had discovered that an additional 13 priests were the subject of credible accusations in other dioceses.
The Diocese of Las Cruces was erected in 1982; many of the priests who have served in the diocese were sent there on temporary or permanent transfer from other U.S. dioceses, or by religious orders.
The diocese maintains an updated list of clergy credibly accused of abuse and, as recently as August, Bishop Peter Baldacchino acted to remove faculties from a retired priest over historical accusations of abuse dating back to the 1990s.
A spokesman for the Diocese of Las Cruces declined to comment on the matter.
Cantu, 53, became a bishop in 2008, when he was appointed an auxiliary bishop in the Archdiocese of San Antonio. He became Bishop of Las Cruces in 2013, and was coadjutor bishop of San Jose in 2018. He formally took the reins of that diocese in May 2019. Cantu, a native of Houston, was ordained a priest of the Houston archdiocese in 1994.
CNA requested comment on the investigation from the Apostolic Nunciature to the United States, but did not receive a response by deadline.
Bishops Michael Hoeppner of Crookston and Nicholas DiMarzio of Brooklyn are also under Vos estis lux mundi Vatican investigations.
