(NewsReady.com) – The topic of gender reassignment is controversial when talking about adults, but it even more so when it concerns children. Some on the Left, and even within the medical community, believe that young kids should be allowed to start transitioning to the opposite sex before they even hit puberty. Others, however, say it is harmful and leaves the children with lasting damage, especially considering the idea that they want to be a different gender could just be a phase.

Some legislatures are now working to ban kids from beginning to transition medically.

Prohibition on Medical Transitioning

In April, Arkansas became the first state to ban doctors from allowing children to start receiving hormones and hormone blockers to begin transitioning. Republican Governor Asa Hutchinson vetoed the legislation, but his veto was defeated by the state legislature. On May 18, Tennessee became the second state to outlaw the hormone treatments. Governor Bill Lee (R) signed legislation prohibiting the medical treatments in prepubescent minors.

What the Medical Community Says

The medical community is divided on the issue, but some believe it is a bad idea. In 2019, Dr. Ryan Anderson hosted an event for the Heritage Foundation discussing the risks of allowing children to transition. The doctor said, “Transition affirmative therapies are virtually untested and inflict lasting harms.” He also argued that allowing kids to do it could increase the risk of suicide later.

Dr. Michael Laidlaw, an endocrinologist in California, agreed, saying therapy and help from a psychologist could help transgender kids grow out of what some believe to be a phase.

Finally, in 2017, the Endocrine Society recommended that children not be given hormone therapies before they go through puberty.

The Tennessee and Arkansas laws will allow kids to grow up and decide what they want to do later. Not everything a child wants when they are seven years old ends up aligning with their desires as an adult.

At each step there is a new turn of the screw and a further step towards the abyss: If we do not stop ourselves in this race towards collective suicide we will never go back.It is our duty to uncover the deception of this Great Reset, because the same deception may be attributed to all the other assaults that over the course of history have sought to nullify the work of Redemption and establish the tyranny of the Antichrist. Russia’s Puppet Benedict Arnold “Biden Revers[es] Trump, Permits a Key Putin… Pipeline” following “Russian Hackers Allegedly Caused Serious Gas Shortages”

Today, Pulitzer winner and liberal Glenn Greenwald, who is a co-founder of the Intercept new outlet renowned for its accurate journalism on intelligence, reported “Just imagine what would be happening right now if it were Trump, rather than [Benedict Arnold] Biden, who just handed Putin his underwater natural gas pipeline just days after Russian hackers allegedly caused serious gas shortages“:

That the Kremlin had taken over American political institutions through its blackmail control of former President Donald Trump was a media conspiracy theory as pervasive as it was deranged. This once-exciting script was excavated from the CIA’s Cold War basement, dusted off by their operatives, and then kicked off by the intelligence community’s purposeful dissemination of the now-debunked Steele Dossier. And once this fairy tale was launched, there were seemingly no limits on the depths to which media figures would sink to promote it…

… Trump found one thing even more threatening to the Kremlin’s vital interests than arming Ukrainians: namely, doing everything possible to destroy Russia’s ability to complete construction of its new underwater natural gas pipeline, Nord Stream 2. That new pipeline is designed to double Russian sales capacity to an EU addicted to cheap Russian natural gas, producing massive revenue for the Russian economy and giving Moscow greater leverage when dealing with its European neighbors. But it provides an even more important benefit: it allows Russia to bypass Ukraine and other Eastern European countries, thus avoiding costly transit fees and the risks of political instability or anti-Russian manipulation by outside forces, including the U.S. government.

For all those reasons, few priorities were more important to Putin and the Russian economy than this new pipeline. Yet for at least the last two years of his presidency, Trump — even as he was shrilly depicted as an agent of the Kremlin — was obsessed with stopping the Russian pipeline and thus sabotaging Putin’s key geopolitical project. 

The Trump administration caused a halt to the project in 2019 when it imposed sanctions on companies working on it. Trump did everything he could to pressure, cajole and even threaten the Germans to pull out of the deal, warning that it would leave a winter-plagued Europe captive to Russian pressure and insisting that Berlin had the obligation to buy gas from the U.S., not Russia, given NATO expenditures to protect Germans. Trump even tried to pull close to 10,000 U.S. troops out of Germany to pressure the Merkel government, but the pro-war alliance of hawkish Democrats and Liz-Cheney-led neocon Republicans voted to defund that effort.

Any minimally rational or honest media would have taken note of these events and instantly realized that their years-long conspiracy theory about Trump being controlled by Putin was sophomoric nonsense, the opposite of the truth. That a Putin-controlled Russian asset would send lethal arms to Ukraine and do everything possible to sabotage Nord Stream 2 is so blatantly absurd that it could be ratified only by a media aggressively committed to spreading disinformation and lies.

All of this became even clearer on Tuesday when President Biden reversed Trump’s blockage of the Russian natural gas pipeline. Axios’ Jonathan Swan reported that “the Biden administration will waive sanctions on the corporate entity and CEO overseeing the construction of Russia’s Nord Stream 2 pipeline into Germany,” which “indicates the Biden administration is not willing to compromise its relationship with Germany over this pipeline.” Swan wrote what is clearly true: “the completion of Nord Stream 2 would be a huge geopolitical win for Putin and give him substantial new leverage in Europe.”

This “huge geopolitical win for Putin” is exactly what the Kremlin’s alleged asset in the White House spent years preventing and which Biden is now handing over. Indeed, this decision by the Biden administration directly contradicts the assurances which long-time anti-Russia hawk Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) extracted from Secretary of State Antony Blinken during Blinken’s January confirmation hearing. Cruz asked Blinken whether he would commit to maintain the efforts of the Trump administration and a bipartisan group of Senators to use sanctions to prevent completion of the Russian pipeline, and Blinken vowed that he would:

SEN. CRUZ: Now, worryingly, there have been suggestions out of Moscow and out of Berlin that the Biden administration would reduce pressure and reduce efforts to stop Nord Stream 2. Can you commit to this committee today that the Biden administration will hold the line, will keep the sanctions, and will prevent the Nord Stream 2 pipeline from being completed? 

MR. BLINKEN: Two things, if I may, Senator. First of all, the president-elect strongly agrees with you that Nord Stream 2 is a bad idea and he has been very clear about that. I need to look at the actual legislation. I am determined to do whatever we can to prevent that completion, the last hundred yards, I very much agree.

As Swan put it: “this planned move” to lift key sanctions “seems at odds with” Blinken’s commitment. Indeed it does. While the Biden administration intends to maintain some of those Trump-imposed sanctions, the waivers they intend to issue will allow completion of Nord Stream 2, a gigantic gift to Putin.

What makes Biden’s turnaround even more stunning is that it comes just weeks after the U.S. claims that Russians were behind a quite serious hack-for-ransom into a U.S. gas pipeline that caused serious gas shortages on the East Coast. U.S. officials say that while they have no reason yet to believe that the Kremlin itself was responsible, they do believe that the hackers were Russian citizens and/or operating from Russia. An angry Sen. Cruz said on Wednesday morning: “Biden has vastly strengthened Putin’s hands at the expense of the rest of the Free World.” Yesterday, he tweeted this:Ted Cruz @tedcruzStunning. In defiance of U.S. law, Biden is actively helping Putin build his pipeline. Objectively speaking, the Biden administration is shaping up to be the most pro-Russia administration of the modern era. Just imagine what would be happening right now if it were Trump, rather than Biden, who just handed Putin his underwater natural gas pipeline just days after Russian hackers allegedly caused serious gas shortages in the U.S. Jingoistic op-eds would fill the pages of The New York Times and The Washington Post warning of Kremlin control of the U.S.; CNN and MSNBC would convene panel after panel of their former FBI and CIA operatives to accuse Trump of treason for subordinating U.S. interests to Russian interests; Rachel Maddow would be on the verge of righteous and indignant tears as she devoted her 20-minute monologue to decrying the tragedy that we were all living under Putin’s rule; and Nancy Pelosi would be holding a press conference to spread more innuendo about Putin’s blackmail control over Trump while demanding a DOJ investigation.

None of that, needless to say, will happen now. Indeed, just hours after Swan reported this sanctions waiver, reporters giggled and swooned after Biden joked about running them all over in his car as a condition to answering their questions about the war in Gaza, then giggled and swooned even more when he floored the car and drove away from them.

For the past 80 years, America has experienced for lack of a better description a ” Super Nova of Decaying Christianity ” caused by: the birth control pill which freed women to become counterfeit men and planned parenthood customers; the television set allowed Charlie Manson programming into our children’s minds and into our homes; college education for the masses allowed us to be uprooted from our family’s and communities traditional customs and mores, while being educated beyond our native intelligence, and experimenting with the latest sex, drugs, and rock and roll, which put Sunday Mass attendance in a less orgiastic light; the computer, internet, and i-phone, virtualized and atomized our reality while preparing us for our new surveillance state ” existence ” because, paradoxically, all of this new found ” freedom ” has actually transformed us ever so imperceptibly into ” slaves ” to the flesh, the world, and Satan.

I would start by commending this generation for having thus far ” survived ” this ” invisible ” Super Nova of Decaying Christianity ” and proceed to remind them that real freedom, truth, love, goodness, beauty, and home; lies with Christ and His bride at the foot of the Cross. The Democrats are right, there are two Americas.

The politics of envy was on proud display a couple weeks ago when President Biden pledged the rest of his term to fighting “income inequality.” He noted that some people make more than other people, that some people have higher incomes than others, and he says that’s not just.
That is the rationale of thievery. The other guy has it, you want it, Biden will take it for you. Vote Democrat.
That is the philosophy that produced Detroit. It is the electoral philosophy that is destroying America .
It conceals a fundamental deviation from American values and common sense because it ends up not benefiting the people who support it, but a betrayal.
The Democrats have not empowered their followers; they have enslaved them in a culture of dependence and entitlement, of victim-hood and anger instead of ability and hope.
The president’s premise – that you reduce income inequality by debasing the successful – seeks to deny the successful the consequences of their choices, and spare the unsuccessful the consequences of their choices. Because, by and large, income variations in society are a result of different choices leading to different consequences. Those who choose wisely and responsibly have a far greater likelihood of success, while those who choose foolishly and irresponsibly have a far greater likelihood of failure. Success and failure usually manifest themselves in personal and family income.
You choose to drop out of high school or to skip college – and you are apt to have a different outcome than someone who gets a diploma and pushes on with purposeful education and/or employment.
You have your children out of wedlock and life is apt to take one course; you have them within a marriage and life is apt to take another course.
Most often in life our destination is determined by the course we take.
My doctor, for example, makes far more than I do. There is significant income inequality between us. Our lives have had an inequality of outcome, but, our lives also have had an in equality of effort. While my doctor went to college and then devoted his young adulthood to medical school and residency, I chose another avenue.
He made a choice, I made a choice, and our choices led us to different outcomes. His outcome pays a lot better than mine. Does that mean he cheated and Joe Biden needs to take away his wealth? No, it means we are both free men in a free society where free choices lead to different outcomes.
It is not inequality Joe Biden intends to take away, it is freedom. The freedom to succeed and the freedom to fail. There is no true option for success if there is no true option for failure. The pursuit of happiness means a whole lot less when you face the punitive hand of government if your pursuit brings you more happiness than the other guy. Even if the other guy sat on his arse and did nothing. Even if the other guy made a lifetime’s worth of asinine and shortsighted decisions.
President Biden and the Democrats preach equality of outcome as a right, while completely ignoring inequality of effort. The simple Law of the Harvest – as ye sow, so shall ye reap – is sometimes applied as, “The harder you work, the more you get.” Biden would turn that upside down. Those who achieve are to be punished as enemies of society and those who fail are to be rewarded as wards of society.
Entitlement will replace effort as the key to upward mobility in American society if President Biden Barack gets his way. He seeks a lowest common denominator society in which the government besieges the successful and productive to foster equality through mediocrity. He and his party speak of two Americas, and their grip on power is based on using the votes of one to sap the productivity of the other. America is not divided by the differences in our outcomes, it is divided by the differences in our efforts. It is a false philosophy to say one man’s success comes about unavoidably as the result of another man’s victimization.
What Biden offered was not a solution, but a separatism. He fomented division and strife, pitted one set of Americans against another for his own political benefit. That’s what socialists offer. Marxist class warfare wrapped up with a bow.

SOME THOUGHTS ON A BEAUTIFUL WEDNESDAY IN MAY

When I was in college a lifetime ago, I played for four years on the school’s varsity baseball team, three of them with a wonderful guy named Jose Del Rio. He was two years older than me and played shortstop while I was a second baseman. Jose escaped from Cuba in 1959 when Castro came into power. He and his father, a physician, and his mother and two sisters escaped in the middle of the night on a boat headed for Florida. Jose taught me fluent Spanish and was my roommate on our team’s baseball trips. We actually had a routine to pick base runners off second base communicating in Spanish! Fun times. I don’t know why this popped into my mind this morning but here is a brief story: One night while I was out with Jose in a bar in Wilkes Barre Pennsylvania (where we had no business being at) just before competing in a college baseball tournament, I listened to Jose tell stories of his experiences in Cuba and how real terror had paralyzed his country and his family. He spoke of arrests, firing squads, farms, and businesses being seized and I remember saying to him “Wow! That sounds terrifying. We don’t know how lucky we are in America”. Jose just looked at me and said…” How lucky you are? Thank God we had a place to escape to!” And in that one brief sentence, my friend Jose captured the essence of what it is all about. America is the last frontier. We are the last best hope for freedom in the world. There just ain’t anyplace left to go and if we don’t make it work here, freedom ends at our doorstep. Then, I thought of something I learned while recently reading information from Hillsdale College about the American Revolution On the eve of our struggle for Independence, a man who might very well have been one of the greatest among our Founding Fathers, Dr. Joseph Warren, then President of the Massachusetts Congress, said to his fellow patriots during a heated debate, “Our country is in great danger, but not to be despaired of….On you depends the fortunes of America. You are to decide the important questions upon which rests the happiness and the liberty of millions yet unborn. Act worthy of yourselves!”  Powerful, moving words. In those words so eloquently spoken, Dr. Warren set the bar high for us all. James Madison echoed Dr. Warren’s comments when he said “We base all our experiments on the capacity of mankind for self-government.”  This idea, that government was and is beholden to the people; that it has no other source of power except the sovereign people, is still today the newest, most unique idea in the long history of man’s relation to man. We are a nation that happens to have a government, not the other way around. And, this fundamental fact makes us special among the nations of the earth. You see, the men who forged our Republic were men of great character, integrity, and courage. They were also well-read and deep thinkers. They reflected carefully upon the works of John Locke, Montesquieu, Plato, Aristotle, Justinian, Cicero, and Tacitus and they struggled mightily to create the documents we treasure like the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution which have endured for 245 years. Those who now occupy the House and Senate and the White House today I believe need a refresher course in the principles upon which our nation was founded. They need to be reminded that it is the people to whom they are accountable, not the other way around. Knowing these things about our Founders, what can we say about those who lead our nation today? What would the Founders say about the decisions of some of our governors in the face of what has been called a pandemic? Have those advisors whispering in the ear of the President given careful thought to their recommendations, or have they vacillated and wavered in the face of challenge? Have they communicated clearly to the people? Are our leaders today the best America has to offer? Are they made of the stuff of people like Washington, Jefferson, Madison, Franklin, Warren, Lincoln who gave careful, reasoned thought before taking action? Have they considered history as a teacher or are they instead trying to rewrite history the way they would like it to be? Have the decisions taken in this challenge called COVID-19 been carefully thought through? Were we wise to shut our nation’s economy down in the face of a virus that has a 99.6% survival rate or did we panic and overreact? Is it helpful for the media to keep focusing on fear and death and not give voice to recovery and hope? These are questions that every American should be thinking about, nay demanding action for, now, as we begin the difficult climb back out of what amounts to a self-inflicted depression. But here also are some observations and points I would like to offer from a personal perspective to cast a bright light on what has already been expressed in this writing: 1.       According to the CDC if you are 65 years of age or older, you have a 1 in 1,529 chance of dying from COVID-19; if you are 15-64 years of age you have a 1 in 19,589 chance of dying and if you are 0-14 years of age you have a 1 in 5,073,571 chance of dying from COVID-19. There are more people who died from cigarette smoking in 2020 than COVID-19 and we have shut down our entire nation for what, fear? Since when are Americans afraid of danger? We built this nation and everything around us by taking risks! 2.       America has always been the land of the free because it is the home of the brave. Why then are governors of states, healthcare officials, and the media continuing to try to fill us with fear? Do they not understand that COVID-19 has a 99.6% recovery rate? Over 37,000 people will die annually from auto accidents (not including motorcycles). Do we shut down driving?
3.       If we are really interested in saving lives, why don’t we shut down Planned Parenthood. We can save millions of lives by taking such action and we just might put ourselves on a moral footing once again to boot!
4.      Let’s get our messaging straight regarding masks. If you have been vaccinated or have post-covid antibodies, there is no scientific reason for you to wear masks inside or outside and schools need to open five days a week….now. If teachers refuse to work, they should be fired. President Reagan fired the air traffic controllers who went on strike endangering air passengers. Our children are our future. We cannot abandon them out of fear. They have suffered enough. 5.      I’m not trying to be funny, but it seems to me that COVID-19 has a lower mortality rate than testifying (or threatening to testify) against the Clintons. But, here are a few more observations, thoughts, and comments on a wide range of topics unrelated to history, statistics, COVID-19, and such. These thoughts pop into my mind from time to time:
1.       I think I found a suitable nickname for Barack Hussein Obama. I call him the Great Divider-in-Chief a/k/a “The Big DIC” Every day that goes by we learn more and more about just how corrupt this man is and the harm he caused our nation. And, every day that goes by, we can see clearly just how much he and Valerie Jarret and Susan Rice are pulling Biden’s strings and making all the decisions, in my humble opinion. 2.       Receiving a stimulus check was nice. But, I want to see my nation get back to work and rebuild our economy. Any action taken by government officials that does not have this as their primary objective ought to be questioned. Americans need to get back to work and they want to get back to work! They hate being dependent on government. That is not how our country grew and prospered. For one thing, sitting on your ass waiting for a government check is not only wasteful and unproductive, but it diminishes incentives and risk-taking, and entrepreneurship, which is how we became the leader of the world. 3.       I don’t believe I will ever again vote for a democrat – not even for dog catcher. I am sick of their whining and disgusted with their fear-mongering and in-your-face arrogance and race-baiting. It’s pointless, un-American, and just plain wrong.
4.      If we can stand in line to go to Wal-Mart, Home Depot, or Shop Rite, we can stand in line to vote. Why the hell do we need to vote by mail. Now, thanks to Operation Warp Speed and President Trump, we have the vaccines, we sure as hell don’t need mail-in voting. It is a blueprint for corruption and should be scrapped immediately. It was a lousy idea to start with, and it is a lousy idea today!
5.      President Trump and Mexico came together in an agreement to stop the flow of illegal immigrants into the United States. We almost completed building the Wall which also helped. For a period of time prior to the 2020 Presidential Election, we hadn’t seen any more news broadcasts of large caravans coming north from South America trying to get into the United States illegally. All the news about Kids in Cages seemed to have vanished from the news. Then Joe Biden won the election. He, in a moment of eminent stupidity, stopped building the wall and invited immigrants to come to the U.S. where taxpayers like you and I will fund their every need from clothing to homes to travel to healthcare benefits. The result has been an overwhelming crisis on our southern border with hundreds of thousands of immigrants gaining illegal entry into the U.S. without being tested for COVID or other possible diseases. And, nothing has been done. How does this help America or Americans? 6.      Some students are unhappy their senior years have been ruined and proms have been canceled along with graduations, and that is so sad and so unnecessary. And, I do feel sadness for them. However, they might gently be reminded that way back in 1964-1971 many high school seniors took their senior trips to a place called Vietnam…and many never came home.
7.       Maybe it is just me, but I think Melania Trump just exudes class. What a First Lady!
8.      First, Dr. Anthony Fauci told us not to worry about COVID-19 and continued to say so until March 2020. Then, he repeatedly told us that we did not have to wear masks in public. Then he said we did, then changed his mind again…then said that we should wear double masks out of an “abundance of caution”….all while the Surgeon General correctly said, “Masks will not prevent you from contracting COVID-19.” Lots of vacillation, confusion, and uncertainty. Guess what? There is still more uncertainty as mixed messages come forward every single day from the White House and Dr. Doom himself. President Biden says if you are vaccinated you no longer need to wear masks inside or outside. Dr. Doom says “Wait one minute…you should still wear your mask and parents should insist that children playing outside should wear masks.” Here is my advice: Use good common sense….and take back your freedom to choose and to live your life. 9.      Does anyone believe as I do that what happened to President Trump was not an impeachment as much it was a planned coup d’etat?
10.  I don’t know about you, but I think if I were President I would issue an Executive Order that you must show a government-issued ID and proof of citizenship to vote in elections.
11.  Why was it a crime for President Richard Nixon to authorize a wiretap of the Democratic Headquarters at Watergate but it is OK for President Obama to wiretap Republicans at Trump Tower? 12.  Someone please tell me how releasing convicted felons, rapists child molesters, murderers from prison for fear they could contract COVID-19 and then sending moms who own businesses to prison because they refuse to shut down their businesses is in the best interests of the community. It sure feels like a grab for power to me, and the words of Lord Acton in the 17^th century ring out….”All power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.” 13.  Ditto for the idiotic governor Pritzker who declared that “Boating is permissible, but only two people to a boat. If there are more than two people in a boat, it is against the law and you will be punished and sent to jail.” Sure, that makes a lot of sense. “OK, son, you can come out with me while mommy and your two sisters wait on the shore and watch us have fun, provided they are walking and not just sitting there.” It can’t possibly get more ridiculous than that.
14.     You can’t fix stupid. But you can vote it out. I’m voting Republican, now and always.

I understand the wheels of justice turn slowly, but maybe they ought to start moving forward just a little bit. Don’t you think?
