Progressives Are No Longer Defenders of Free Expression
Censorship, character assassination, and calls for literal book-burning are the Left’s tools of choice when faced with opposing views.

A half-century ago, progressives used to push limitless free expression, blasting conservatives for their allegedly blinkered traditionalism. They boasted of obliterating once-normal boundaries in art, music, and literature to allow nudity, profanity, sexuality, and anti-American boilerplate.
Now?
The Left is Victorian — increasingly puritanical, regressive, and hypersensitive. Even totalitarian censorship and book-burning have weirdly become part of their by-any-means-necessary methods.
University of California, Berkeley, professor Grace Lavery was so outraged by author Abigail Shrier’s latest book, Irreversible Damage: The Transgender Craze Seducing Our Daughters, that she went way beyond the usual calls to ban the book. Lavery advocated burning Shrier’s book.
“I DO encourage followers to steal Abigail Shrier’s book and burn it on a pyre,” Lavery tweeted last month.
Did the self-appointed liberal watchdog the American Civil Liberties Union step in to defend free expression?
No. Instead, one ACLU official poured gas on the book-burning fire.
“Stopping the circulation of this book and these ideas is 100% a hill I will die on,” tweeted Chase Strangio, the ACLU’s deputy director for transgender justice.
Note all of these melodramatic humanitarian verbs such as “steal,” “burn,” and “die.”
Staffers at the Canadian branch of Penguin Random House recently confronted management over the company’s publication of libertarian Jordan Peterson’s new book Beyond Order, a sequel to his earlier bestseller 12 Rules for Life: An Antidote to Chaos.
What were their objections to the book? Peterson, who has criticized the notion of white privilege and contends that masculinity is under attack, was accused of “white supremacy,” “hate speech,” and “transphobia.” These are simply our generation’s synonyms for their predecessors’ bogeyman labels “heretic,” “witch,” and “Communist.”
Amazon, Facebook, Google, and Twitter are more refined in suppressing books, films, communications, and ideas they don’t like — and don’t want others to like, either.
Author Alex Berenson self-published a series of pamphlets on Amazon that offer a dissenting view about the efficacy of forced coronavirus lockdowns. Suddenly, Amazon blocked his most recent installment — at least until public pressure forced the multibillion-dollar company to relent.
Amazon did something similar to Hoover Institution senior fellow Shelby Steele, declining to stream his documentary What Killed Michael Brown? about the fatal 2014 shooting of Brown by police in Ferguson, Mo., and race relations in America. Once again, public outrage forced the company to back down from what appears to be a systematic and ideologically driven effort to stop the dissemination of books and films that don’t advance the progressive/regressive cause.
Note the pattern here. Publishers and platforms are not arguing that these books and films are mediocre. After all, they had initially agreed to publish or disseminate all of them.
Their subsequent flips and flops arise from fundamentalist progressive pressure of the sort used by social media to de-platform and cancel unwelcome politics and ideology.
So the First Amendment of the once freest nation in the world is comatose. This time its enemies are not hooded Klansmen seeking to intimidate African Americans or right-wing conspiracy theorists rooting out supposed Communists.
No, the culprits are progressives and leftist elites in publishing, the media, Silicon Valley, academia, entertainment, and government. They so lack confidence in the logic and persuasiveness of their own arguments that, in fear, they increasingly try to ban whatever bothers them.
The classic To Kill a Mockingbird and other books about racial issues were banned from the curriculum in the Burbank Unified School District in California last month.
The Left did not just oppose the nomination of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh; it sought to destroy his career and reputation through smears.
Professors at Stanford University hounded Hoover Institution fellow and public-health expert Dr. Scott Atlas. His apparent crime was advising President Trump that lockdowns and quarantines might ultimately cause more damage than COVID-19 itself. Atlas resigned from his role as Trump’s coronavirus adviser earlier this week.
Efforts to censor, cancel, discredit, or destroy the work of anyone with contrasting viewpoints are canonized by the wealthy, powerful left-wing elites and their institutions.
In Orwellian fashion, they have redefined being illiberal and vindictive as being woke, enlightened, and progressive — and for the public good rather than their own interests.
How ironic that the kindred spirits of today’s progressives are not Socrates, Galileo, and Harper Lee, but the Athenian mob, Joseph McCarthy, and the Taliban.
Past and present, all of these zealots and character assassins cloaked their intolerance in the pretense that they were advancing truth — by destroying it.

Target: America China is anxious for Trump to leave — so it can return to a global status quo tolerating its myriad abuses that harm the U.S. By VICTOR DAVIS HANSONDecember 22, 2020  China sounds giddy at the ending of the Trump presidency. Before COVID-19, it was locked in a likely lose/lose trade war with the U.S. The American corporate world was finally starting to complain that its once easy profits in joint-ventures were now being gobbled up by an increasingly voracious China. The Left, for all its hatred of Trump, nonetheless after 2017 grew more vocal over the Chinese gulags, the Tibetization of Hong Kong, and Beijing’s Orwellian internal police state. Too many Chinese spies had popped up at the pinnacles of American power, whether erstwhile chairwoman of the Senate Intelligence Committee Senator Dianne Feinstein’s chauffer, or, as we now learn, House Intelligence Committee member Representative Eric Swalwell’s something-or-other frequent associate, or among the Biden, Inc. clique. With Trump the disrupter apparently gone for now, China is anxious to return to the prior global status quo — and its exemptions for systematic patent and copyright theft, dumping, currency manipulation, huge trade surpluses, and coerced technology appropriation. Or as one prominent Chinese academic, Di Dongsheng, recently conveyed his post-election confidence in the Biden first family and the return of the American establishment to power: I’m going to throw out something maybe a little bit explosive here. It’s just because we have people at the top. We have our old friends who are at the top of America’s core inner circle of power and influence. Dongsheng elaborated, “During the U.S.-China trade war, [Wall Street] tried to help, and I know that my friends on the U.S. side told me that they tried to help, but they couldn’t do much. But now we’re seeing Biden was elected, the traditional elite, the political elite, the establishment, they’re very close to Wall Street, so you see that, right?” Dongsheng summed up “right” with, “Trump has been saying that Biden’s son has some sort of global foundation. Have you noticed that? Who helped [Hunter] build the foundations? Got it? There are a lot of deals inside all these.” Substitute “Russia” for “China,” “Trump” for “Biden,” a Russian academic for Dongsheng, and November 2016 for November 2020, and a president-elect Trump would likely have been indicted by such admissions. Currently, China is suffering its worst global-popularity ratings in its modern history. Most countries in Europe, the U.S., and its immediate Asian neighbors poll anywhere from 70 to 90 percent disapproval of China. Such negativity is hardly surprising when over 75 million worldwide have been sickened with Wuhan COVID-19 — and perhaps another 500 million untested have had symptoms or at least developed antibodies to it — along with 1.6 million dead. Many Western countries have vowed never again to outsource their medical equipment and pharmaceutical industries to China, given their ensuing exposure in times of a Chinese-spawned viral global pandemic. The chief rub for an awakening but recently somnolent Europe and a drowsy U.S. is not whether to reboot with China, but how — given that for decades America siphoned off its technology edge, as it trained tens of thousands of Chinese engineers and scientists, while greenlighting its own students to rack up $1.6 trillion in student loans to master the arts of green, race, class, and gender victimization. Brilliant American engineers design battery-operated cars and sophisticated solar panels; elite-glut environmental studies majors fight over how best to bankrupt the American consumer and raise prohibitive power costs for businesses. China prefers to emulate the former, not the latter. China tactically wages war against the U.S. all the time, from on-campus espionage to cyber-assault to stealing technology and blueprints of institutions it can replicate. But more importantly, it counts on a sophisticated strategy to subordinate the United States, and thereby remake the entire international order to enhance its own agendas. The Parasitic WayChina sends over a third of a million students each year to enroll in U.S. universities. Again, they are not here, for the most part, to focus on gender studies, pursue peace studies, or become psychology and sociology majors. Perhaps one percent (e.g., roughly 3,000) are serious espionage operatives. Far more are the children of Communist Party elites. All know their way is paid for, on the expectation that they are to be debriefed at some point on their American careers. Over the last two decades, through students, visiting-faculty exchanges, tourism, growing diplomatic billets, and formal espionage operatives, China has systematically replicated major American institutions. It copies wholesale American graduate-research programs, medical and scientific labs, foundations, and formal government entities, from the Pentagon to the military academies. China is parasitic on Western institutions in the manner that imperial Japan was in the latter 19th and early 20th centuries, when it sent tens of thousands of engineers, scientists, industrialists, and military attachés to the United Kingdom to master military shipbuilding and naval organization, and to Germany to copy imperial German ground forces and tactics — but without the perceived accompanying Western pollution of parliamentary government. Nothing delights China more than hyping climate change, in hopes that the U.S. will emulate Europe in general and in particular Germany. That is, America should junk its nuclear plants, stop hydroelectric construction, shut down coal plants, phase out natural gas, and focus on “wind and solar” and other “green” technologies. In the strategic sense, China will continue to use traditional cheaper carbon and nuclear fuels. It will stress that the West should not do the same and instead focus on “climate change.” China will then seek advantage with greater energy reliability and cheaper costs — while waiting to see when or whether Western investment and research in alternative energy should be cheaply harvested. Divide and ImperaEurope has been apologizing for its 19th- and early-20th-century imperialism and neo-colonialism for 75 years. Yet China proudly boasts of its new brand of exploitation, the Belt and Road Initiative, to develop abroad infrastructure, harbors, ports, rails, industry, power grids, and highways. The aims of such a vast $8 trillion project are multifarious. Beijing seeks to establish control over the world’s commercial chokepoints (from Suez to the Panama Canal) that will offer an advantage in times of tensions and war. It wants to interconnect a vast, Chinese-dominated predatory mercantile system, one, in naked ambition and racialist imperialism, analogous perhaps to the former Japanese “Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere.” It lends promiscuously to cash-strapped aspiring countries and ossified developed nations, with the aim of leveraging them into “debt traps,” as uncollected loans can be paid back by ever longer and greater Chinese contractual control over infrastructure. Divide and conquer is the subtext of the New Silk Road. Israel or Greece will bicker with its American ally over the degree to which billions of dollars in Chinese investment in their ports warps their strategic autonomy. Russia, as another beneficiary of Belt and Road, is no longer a triangular agent to check Chinese power. And it is hard for the EU cohesively to address Chinese asymmetrical trade when Beijing is increasingly controlling the harbor traffic of Antwerp, Genoa, Marseille, and Piraeus. China’s once-grand talk of a “Polar Silk Road” to connect with Canada might help to explain why Justin Trudeau invited the Chinese military to conduct winter training in Ontario — apparently against the wishes of its NATO ally next door. The U.S. also includes non-nuclear and mostly disarmed Canada under its nuclear umbrella, which, in nightmarish scenarios of nuclear deterrence, assumes Portland or San Diego are exposed to protect Montreal or Toronto. The logic of the new Silk Road is that of the drug dealer: He accommodates his naïve user, who seeks ever more product, goes more deeply into debt and dependency to his smiling supplier, and is only dropped — or worse — for newer junkies when the strung-out’s debts reach unpayable proportions. Identity and RaceChina is essentially a monoracial nation, with a terrible record of exploiting those it deems racial inferiors, whether Tibetans or Muslim Uyghurs. Chinese in Africa make the old Cold War-stereotyped Russian brutes abroad seem like saints in comparison. Nonetheless, the Chinese strategically piggyback on to the American race industry. And the result is that Western criticism of Beijing’s racism and exploitation is itself deemed “racism.” China can recite chapter-and-verse canned leftist critiques of America, in the manner that Osama Bin Laden and Mohammed Zawahiri once wrote that they were radicalized in part by their American enemies’ failure to embrace U.S. campaign-financing reform and climate-change remedies. China encourages the United Nations, and international organizations such as the World Health Organization, to turn its megaphones toward the U.S. — and to indict America for its racial tensions as if inveterately racist China too were a victim of historic white oppression. China likes nothing better than to see our cities locked down amid riot, arson, and looting, and our country condemned in international fora. It eggs on authentically illiberal nations to blast America as illiberal. The NaifsWhen American corporations and capitalists see flat growth and fear inert future profits, they look for hope in Communist China. Disney’s post-COVID hopes of revival apparently rest with China. The NBA’s domestic audience is decreasing — as its lucrative franchising in China soars. Michael Bloomberg raised billions in Western capital for Chinese startups. Bill Gates’s Microsoft has had a 20-year relationship with the Chinese government’s spin-off concerns. In that context, is it any surprise that Disney movies now “thank”their cooperative Chinese Communist officials when they undertake joint-venture movies in the backyard of Muslim-reeducation camps? Is it a shock that Bloomberg assures us that China is not an authoritarian country? On spec, the NBA’s Steve Kerr blasts American society and offers excuses about Chinese autocracy. Bill Gates unsurprisingly warns us not to underappreciate the valuable role China has played in dealing transparently with the virus and its spread. China believes the current U.S. elite is unlike those who won World War II or sent a man into space. In their contempt, they believe instead that our best and brightest have grown naive, flabby, relativist, globalist, easily guilted, eager for repentance, decadent, and greedy — and can continue to be, and do, all that, while still becoming even richer with China. WHAT TO DO ABOUT A FRAUDULENT ELECTIONBy: Marvin L. Covault, Lt Gen US Army, retiredDecember 23, 2020 Was 2020 a fraudulent election? According to a Rasmussen poll conducted November 17-18, 75% of Republicans, 30% of Democrats, and 39% of Independent voters believe that the election was stolen from Trump. Additionally, the Heritage Foundation has been collecting election fraud reports over the past four years. While their database is by no means comprehensive, they do report 1,285 proven instances of voter fraud. Their intent is to demonstrate vulnerabilities in the election system and the many ways in which fraud is committed. The intent of this article is not to suggest the election will be overturned, the Electoral College has voted, Biden is the president-elect.  My intent is to suggest that with this unprecedented level of distrust in the election system, we have a national crisis of confidence. That is, if we-the-people lose confidence in our most basic rights, our democracy is in serious jeopardy. Election fraud must be aggressively investigated now, right now. Strike while the iron is hot so to speak. Why now? Because we have short memories and this is already being pushed aside by the next story-of-the-day. We cannot wait until 2024 to again get excited about election fraud. Those of you who routinely watch certain networks or read certain newspapers have been told over and over since 4 November that: 1) there was absolutely no fraud or, 2) there was so little fraud that the overall results could not change.  When you tell me, “But it wasn’t enough to make a difference”, that begs the question, are you saying, 1% fraud is OK? Or 5% or 10%? What “standard” of fraudulent activity is tolerable? Others are saying, “But it (fraud) is not widespread.” Is it OK if it is just in five states? What you are saying is that some cheating is OK and should be overlooked as long as it does not pass some undefined threshold of frequency or quantity. What I am saying is, all of that acceptance-speak is unamerican and should not be tolerated. The real answer to “how much fraud is acceptable” is zero.  This article is not about over-turning the election results, I would only ask that everyone take off their rose-colored glasses for the next few minutes and read some examples of what has already been discovered.  Background: There have been significant reports of malfeasance. Here are some snapshots:   Soon after midnight on 4 November, six states stopped counting for several hours; let’s look at a snapshot of what allegedly took place in some “battleground” states. Just after midnight when the counting stopped Trump led in Pennsylvania by (round numbers) 682,000 votes, a 15.2% lead; Michigan by 307,000 votes, 9.6% lead; Wisconsin by 128,000 votes, 4.9% lead. When the six states began counting again, observers reported that an impossible percentage of the new votes were for Biden and most ballots had been left blank for all other races. Read that again; why would a voter go to the polls, vote for president/vice president, and not vote for any of the state and local candidates?  Trump lost Pennsylvania by 81,597votes. Later on, at a hearing, an eye witness was asked, regarding one particularly curious  “spike” of 600,000 votes, “How many of those votes were for Trump?” The response, “3,200.” Does anyone believe it is possible for any candidate to receive 99.5% of the vote in a hotly contested election?  Also, in Pennsylvania, 1.8 million absentee ballots were sent out and 2.5 million came back. Do the math, 700,000 more absentee ballots returned than were sent out. Witnesses testified that tens of thousands of Trump votes had been deliberately uncounted and that at 3 a.m. on election night there was a single dump of 186,000 votes, all for Biden Trump lost Michigan by 146,007 votes. An eyewitness to the fraud in Michigan testified, “There was a three-hour lull after midnight at the Detroit Vote Center until the vans came in about four in the morning with about 60 boxes of ballots nearly all for Biden”. Another witness testified that all military ballots she saw, “looked like Xerox copies, 100% for Biden.” On a sworn affidavit from Detroit, a witness alleged that 60% of a batch of voter ballots had the same signature on them. That county had so many phantom voters that there were more votes than registered voters.  Trump lost Wisconsin by 20,565 votes. Four witnesses testified that 100,000 ballots were brought in at 4:30 a.m. and counted without any inspection, again all for Biden. Given those examples in just three states, by the morning after the election, it was apparent that something was wrong. It appeared that hundreds of thousands of phony Biden votes had been added to the count in six battleground states. According to Judicial Watch, 353 counties in 29 different states had more “registered” voters than eligible voting-age citizens. The total was 1.8 million excess or “ghost” voters. Ronna McDaniel, Chair of the Republican National Committee reported that she has 234 pages containing 500 sworn affidavits alleging 11,000 incidents of various types of voter fraud. Who are providing the affidavits? They are good Americans who have nothing to gain and a lot to lose. In our current state of hatred towards Trump supporters, social media is full of threats of violence against those brave enough to speak out.  But, many of you say, where is the evidence? Why have the judges thrown out the multitude of lawsuits? Sworn affidavits are “evidence” if corroborated and the corroboration exists in the form of ballots, 150 million ballots. But if a ballot was counted multiple times or arrived in an unmarked truck at 0430 in the morning, you can bet those ballots/evidence no longer exist. With all of this alleged fraud, where is the Fourth Estate? Where are the professional journalists who are determined to dig out the truth? The most insidious power the media has is the power to ignore and they are ardently meeting that goal. The Hunter Biden/Biden family story of potential foreign corruption has given us the most glaring example of ignoring what should have been front-page, above-the-fold news. According to a poll by the Media Research Center, most Americans who voted for Biden never heard of the alleged Hunter Biden corruption before election day. But once they did hear of it, 17 percent said they would have switched their votes.  Can a Constitutional Republic survive with the main-stream media proactively acting as a wing of one political party over a protracted period of time, in this case, the past four years? Can we afford the risk and not doing anything to completely uncover the election fraud in every state? Back to an early assertion, the standard for election fraud should be zero. The question is, can we fix it in all the states? Yes, but it will take a federal law because the states collectively just got an “F” with their individual election policies, procedures, and practices. I believe the fix can be accomplished with a 10-page federal law.  Please see, Presidential Election and Campaign Finance Reform published in an 18 December blog, WeThePeopleSpeaking.com.If you find that solution acceptable, please forward it to your Congressional Delegation.  Marvin L. Why I Will Not Give Up

A smart friend of mine who is a moderate liberal asked why I was not recognizing Joe Biden’s victory.
The friend made the case that Biden had gotten more votes, and historically we recognize the person with the most votes. Normally, we accept the outcome of elections just as we accept the outcomes of sporting events.
So, my friend asked why was 2020 different?
Having spent more than four years watching the left #Resist President Donald Trump and focus entirely on undoing and undermining the 2016 election, it took me several days to understand the depth of my own feelings.
As I thought about it, I realized my anger and fear were not narrowly focused on votes. My unwillingness to relax and accept that the election was growing out of a level of outrage and alienation, unlike anything I had experienced in more than 60 years of involvement in public affairs.
The challenge is that I – and other conservatives – are not disagreeing with the left within a commonly understood world. We live in alternative worlds.
The left’s world is mostly the established world of the forces who have been dominant for most of my life.
My world is the populist rebellion that believes we are being destroyed, our liberties are being canceled, and our religions are under assault. (Note the new Human Rights Campaign to decertify any religious school which does not accept secular sexual values – and that many Democrat governors have kept casinos open while closing churches through the COVID-19 pandemic.) We also believe other Democrat-led COVID-19 policies have enriched the wealthy while crushing middle-class small business owners (some 160,000 restaurants may close).
In this context, let’s talk first about the recent past and the presidency.
In 2016, I supported an outsider candidate, who was rough around the edges and in the Andrew Jackson school of controversial assaults on the old order. When my candidate won, it was blamed on the Russians. We now know (four years later) Hillary Clinton’s own team financed the total lie that fueled this attack. Members of the FBI twice engaged in criminal acts to help it along – once in avoiding prosecution of someone who had deleted 33,000 emails and had a subordinate use a hammer to physically destroy hard drives, and a second time by lying to FISA judges to destroy Gen. Michael Flynn and spy on then-candidate Donald Trump and his team. 
The national liberal media aided and abetted every step of the way. All this was purely an attempt to cripple the new president and lead to the appointment of a special counsel – who ultimately produced nothing.
Now, people in my world are told it is time to stop resisting and cooperate with the new president. But we remember that the Democrats wanted to cooperate with Trump so much that they began talking about his impeachment before he even took office. The Washington Post ran a story on Democrat impeachment plots the day of the Inauguration. In fact, nearly 70 Democratic lawmakers boycotted his inauguration. A massive leftwing demonstration was staged in Washington the day after, where Madonna announced she dreamed of blowing up the White House to widespread applause. 
These same forces want me to cooperate with their new president. I find myself adopting the Nancy Pelosi model of constant resistance. Nothing I have seen from Biden since the election offers me any hope that he will reach out to the more than 74 million Americans who voted for President Trump.
So, I am not reacting to the votes so much as to the whole election environment.
When Twitter and Facebook censored the oldest and fourth-largest newspaper (founded by Alexander Hamilton) because it accurately reported the news that could hurt Biden’s chances – where were The New York Times and The Washington Post?
The truth of the Hunter Biden story is now becoming impossible to avoid or conceal. The family of the Democrat nominee for president received at least $5 million from an entity controlled by our greatest adversary. It was a blatant payoff, and most Americans who voted for Biden never heard of it – or were told before the election it was Russian disinformation. Once they did hear of it, 17 percent said they would have switched their votes, according to a poll by the Media Research Center. That’s the entire election. The censorship worked exactly as intended.
Typically, newspapers and media outlets band together when press freedom is threatened by censorship. Where was the sanctimonious “democracy dies in darkness?” Tragically, The Washington Post is now part of the darkness.
But this is just a start. When Twitter censors four of five Rush Limbaugh tweets in one day, I fear for the country.
When these monolithic internet giants censor the President of the United States, I fear for the country.
When I see elite billionaires like Mark Zuckerburg are able to spend $400 million to hire city governments to maximize turnout in specifically Democratic districts – without any regard to election spending laws or good governance standards – I fear for the country.
When I read that Apple has a firm rule of never irritating China – and I watch the NBA kowtow to Beijing, I fear for our country.
When I watch story after story about election fraud being spiked – without even the appearance of journalistic due diligence or curiosity – I know something is sick.
The election process itself was the final straw in creating the crisis of confidence which is accelerating and deepening for many millions of Americans.
Aside from a constant stream of allegations of outright fraud, there are some specific outrages – any one of which was likely enough to swing the entire election.
Officials in virtually every swing state broke their states’ own laws to send out millions of ballots or ballot applications to every registered voter. It was all clearly documented in the Texas lawsuit, which was declined by the US Supreme Court based on Texas’ procedural standing – not the merits of the case. That’s the election.
In addition, it’s clear that virtually every swing state essentially suspended normal requirements for verifying absentee ballots. Rejection rates were an order of magnitude lower than in a normal year. In Georgia, rejection rates dropped from 6.5 percent in 2016 to 0.2 percent in 2020. In Pennsylvania, it went from 1 percent in 2016 to .003 percent in 2020. Nevada fell from 1.6 percent to .75 percent. There is no plausible explanation other than that they were counting a huge number of ballots – disproportionately for Biden – that normally would not have passed muster. That’s the election.
The entire elite liberal media lied about the timeline of the COVID-19 vaccine. They blamed President Trump for the global pandemic even as he did literally everything top scientists instructed. In multiple debates, the moderators outright stated that he was lying about the US having a vaccine before the end of the year (note Vice President Mike Pence received it this week). If Americans had known the pandemic was almost over, that too was likely the difference in the election.
The unanimously never-Trump debate commission spiked the second debate at a critical time in order to hurt President Trump. If there had been one more debate like the final one, it likely would have been pivotal.
This is just the beginning. But any one of those things alone is enough for Trump supporters to think we have been robbed by a ruthless establishment – which is likely to only get more corrupt and aggressive if it gets away with these blatant acts.
For more than four years, the entire establishment mobilized against the elected President of the United States as though they were an immune system trying to kill a virus. Now, they are telling us we are undermining democracy.
You have more than 74 million voters who supported President Trump despite everything – and given the election mess, the number could easily be significantly higher. The truth is tens of millions of Americans are deeply alienated and angry.
If Biden governs from the left – and he will almost certainly be forced to – that number will grow rapidly, and we will win a massive election in 2022.
Given this environment, I have no interest in legitimizing the father of a son whom Chinese Communist Party members boast about buying. Nor do I have any interest in pretending that the current result is legitimate or honorable. It is simply the final stroke of a four-year establishment-media power grab. It has been perpetrated by people who have broken the law, cheated the country of information, and smeared those of us who believe in America over China, history over revisionism, and the liberal ideal of free expression over cancel culture.
I write this in genuine sorrow because I think we are headed toward a serious, bitter struggle in America. This extraordinary, coordinated four-year power grab threatens the fabric of our country and the freedom of every American.

This comes fresh on the heels of new reports showing a massive migration of Americans from urban cities to places like Texas, Wyoming, Montana, Tennessee, and South Dakota. And now it appears there are at least five states where some kind of secession is being seriously considered. Much like in Europe, separation and secession fever is sweeping across the U.S. as tenacious bands of frustrated rural Americans, suburbanites, libertarians, and conservatives seek to break free from the socialist-leaning states controlled by big cities, leftist mobs, and union boss money. In Virginia, the Democrat majority’s progressive legislation on issues such as gun rights, abortion, taxes, and Right to Work laws has spurred “Vexit” (Virginia exit), a campaign to merge right-leaning rural counties with neighboring West Virginia. West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice has put out the welcome mat to his neighbors. In fact, a state resolution inviting Virginia counties to cross over has cleared a House committee and enjoys “overwhelming support,” says its sponsor Republican state Rep. Gary Howell. Rick Boyer, a leader of the “Vexit” movement and former member of the Campbell County Board of Supervisors says, “To be honest, if this works — you’ve got a lot of red areas in this country that are totally dominated by a blue metropolis, if it works in Virginia, there’s no reason it can’t reshape the political map.” Ironically, no state has split since West Virginia was carved from Virginia in 1863, but the growing interest comes as those living outside the big cities face increasing government mandates, higher taxes, and restrictions on civil liberties foisted on them by legislatures controlled by the big cities and college towns. G.H. Merritt founded a grassroots nonprofit, New Illinois, in an effort to kick Chicago out of Illinois by using the Article IV process, which will require the consent of the legislature and Congress. “We have operations in 49 of 102 counties,” Ms. Merritt said. “We kind of compare it to the way Solidarity worked in Poland, where the people just decided they were done and transitioned from a communist government to a democracy without having a civil war.”In New York, Divide New York State has long since advocated for three autonomous self-governing regions, which would eliminate the need for Congress to create separate states.  Even more ambitious are two competing plans from California. “New California” seeks to create a 51st state, while “Calexit” wants to make California its own nation. And in Oregon, three counties have already agreed to place a measure on the ballot that would allow local officials to begin negotiations to “relocate the Oregon/Idaho border to make this county a county of Idaho.” So far, several Oregon Republicans have endorsed the idea, including Senate Republican Leader Herman Baertschiger.  Also on board is Idaho Gov. Brad Little. Adam W. Dean, a history professor at the University of Lynchburg in Virginia, said the idea of moving Virginia counties to West Virginia is legal under Article IV, Section III of the U.S. Constitution. Is Archbishop Viganò saying that Francis & Biden might be Acting in the Spirit of the Antichrist?

In the past few days, the latest news is that Bergoglio [Francis] is dedicating his time to making a television series called Sharing the Wisdom of Time, produced by Netflix, which yesterday published a post on Twitter that summarizes its ideological point of reference: Praise Satan. It goes without saying that this multinational corporation is involved in the spread of immorality and vice, including the sexual exploitation of minors…

… [I]n order not to give rise to misunderstandings, after numerous appeals to obey the authorities in the emergency of the psycho-pandemic, it appears that the Covid vaccine will be made obligatory for all the officials and staff of Vatican City, despite the fact that is has been produced with aborted fetal tissue and provides no guarantee of being either effective or harmless.

Is there another world leader who might be acting in the spirit of the Antichrist who is heading the “deep state” in the “nation” of America whom Viganò may implicitly be speaking of?

Ianto Watt who authored “The Barbarian Bible: The True History of Man Since the Fall” wrote of Joe Biden as possibly acting in the spirit of the Antichrist?

Watt said “That [biblical] word is also Greek in origin. It is Katechon. It means one who restrains. The one who holds back. Holds back what? Simple. The appearance of the Anti-Christ… Are the actual (final) end-times upon us? Is Biden the final Anti-Christ? And more importantly, is Donald [Trump] the final Katechon?“:

Let’s be clear. There have been many pre-figurements of the Anti-Christ. Nero, Diocletian, Justin the Apostate, Lenin, Stalin, Mao, just to name a few. Just as there were precursors of The Christ. Abraham, Moses, Joshua, David, again, to name a few. History is simply the repetition of these dual appearances, giving notice to each generation of their responsibility to make their own choice of allegiance. We all do. Or don’t. Woe unto the lukewarm. Their fate is most pitiable.

Where does this leave us? Are the actual (final) end-times upon us? Is Biden the final Anti-Christ? And more importantly, is Donald the final Katechon? I think the second question I have posed is more important to us than the first. For while it is extremely hard to imagine Joe Biden as the most cunning member of the Tribe of Dan ever to live, it is not hard at all to see Donald as the final nemesis of whoever that might be.

In the absence of any effective resistance to what Biden would truly allow (and the one who might immediately follow him), Donald may very well be the last appearance of the Katechon. And the true and genuine Anti-Christ may, in imitation of the real Christ, move before his scheduled time. Prideful as he is, he may have a hard time resisting that temptation. Will this be The Last temptation of the Anti-Christ? 

So then, my fellow man, remember that we all must die. Regardless of whether Biden is the immediate precursor of the Apocalypse, or whether Donald is the last Katechon, the final question of life, every life, is this: did you resist the unveiled evil? On May 7, 2018, Netherlands Cardinal Willem Jacobus Eijk apparently implied that Francis may be acting in the spirit of the Antichrist. Eijk said:

“Observing that the bishops and, above all, the Successor of Peter fail to maintain and transmit faithfully and in unity the deposit of faith… I cannot help but think of Article 675 of the Catechism of the Catholic Church:

‘The Church’s ultimate trial

Before Christ’s second coming… will unveil the ‘mystery of iniquity’ in the form of religious deception… apostasy from the truth.'” (National Catholic Register, “Cardinal Eijk: Pope Francis Needed to Give Clarity on Intercommunion,” May 7, 2017)

Moreover, Dr. Ed Mazza in his argument that Pope Benedict XVI relinquished the power of the Bishop of Rome while remaining the pope (the Successor of Peter) is mirroring and quoting Antonio Socci’s “opposition to the advance of the Antichrist” thesis.

Mazza quotes a July 27, 2017 article of attorney Chris Ferrara in which the lawyer quotes Socci.

He appears to be saying Benedict XVI  by relinquishing the power of the Bishop of Rome while remaining the pope may have brought about the biblical prophecy involving the Greek word “Katechon” from St. Paul’s 2 Thessalonians 2:7 that means the restrainer who holds back the spirit of the Antichrist has stopped restraining. Mazza read the article as follows:

“The always insightful and often surprising Antonio Socci has just published a piece (translation mine) concerning a little-known but immensely explosive essay by the Italian philosopher Massimo Cacciari, given one month after Benedict XVI’s mysterious renunciation of ‘the ministry of Bishop of Rome, Successor of Saint Peter… in such a way, that… the See of Saint Peter, will be vacant…’”

Alluding to the title of the book Attack on Ratzinger, written three years before Benedict’s “resignation,” Socci suggests that the attack on Benedict XVI, the “rejected rock” (of Peter), which culminated in his abdication, is part of “the final attack on the Catholic Church by the antichristian powers and ideologies of this world.” 

“Cacciari, Socci continues, calls the Church over which Benedict presided the Kathécon, a Greek word which appears in Saint Paul’s Second Letter to the Thessalonians, meaning the great sign of opposition to the advance of the Antichrist, which has the power to ‘put the brakes’ on that advance. Cacciari maintains that Pope Benedict renounced the ‘ministry of the Bishop of Rome’ because he was convinced that ‘he could no longer succeed in containing the powers of Antichrist within the Catholic Church. As Saint Augustine said, antichrists are in each of us. This is a key to the decision by Ratzinger, if we want to view it in all its seriousness. His decision is of one piece with the crisis of politics, of the power that brakes [the advance of Antichrist].’”

“Socci concludes that with Benedict’s renunciation, it would appear that ‘the Church as Kathécon, that is, as the power that arrests [the Antichrist’s advance], was totally dissolved. Giving the impression of being recruited as a draft horse for the chariot of the Antichrist’s power.’ This situation, says Socci: 

‘[S]ignals that we live in a ‘grandiose,’ that is, apocalyptic, time.'”

Furthermore, on the last page of his book “The Secret of Benedict XV,” Socci’s “careful analysis” of the lack of Benedict XVI’s “resignation… validity” brings him to the conclusion that we must:

“United to Pope Benedict.”

In Twitter on July 26, Socci wrote:

“Bergoglio… is dismantling the Catholic Church.”

The world renowned Fatima expert Socci at the end of the book revealed that a little known “document” quotes Fatima Seer Jacinta Marto “speaking about”:

“[T]he ‘end of the world’ if people ‘do not do penance and change their lives.'”

Archbishop Viganò and the other appear to be saying that Francis’s “deep church” might be acting in the spirit of the Antichrist while Viganò implicitly may be speaking of Biden as a leader of the “deep state” spirit of the Antichrist?

Yesterday, lawyer and minister Scott Livey mentioned another “deep state” leaders who may be acting in the spirit of the Antichrist who is closely associated with Biden:  It was recently (falsely) reported that in a closed-door meeting of the nine justices of the Supreme Court about the Texas lawsuit against election fraud, Chief Justice John Roberts was heard screaming profanities about President Trump and refusing to consider the Trump-favoring precedent of Bush v Gore as he browbeat the group into rejecting the case. His justification, as supposedly overheard by a whistle-blowing staffer in the outer room, was that the Bush v Gore contest was not attended by rioting, while this one is. While this story was factually false, it rings true emotionally, and as a theory about John Roberts psychological profile seems highly plausible – enough so that (this, now revised) article I wrote while thinking it was true should still be published.  When I first heard the story two thoughts immediately came to my mind. First was a reminder of Benjamin Franklin’s famous axiom “Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.” The second was that our Supreme Court was granting a “heckler’s veto” of the US Constitution itself to Antifa Fascists, and even the strongest conservatives on the court were willing to allow it, with only tepid dissent from our anchor-men, Thomas and Alito. These are valid reactions regardless of the court’s motives.   Then, when I learned (the factually true report) that attorney Lin Wood was calling for Roberts’ resignation and suggesting that the Chief Justice was thee “John Roberts” seen on uber-pedophile Jeffrey Epstein’s Orgy Island in the company of Bill Clinton, the mystery of Roberts’ history suddenly made sense. I remembered how Roberts flubbed the administration of Barack Obama’s oath of office (which I believe was intentional so that the Anti-Christian, self-admitted Muslim Obama could retake the formal oath the next day minus the Bible). I remember how Roberts contorted himself into a pretzel to save Obamacare with an obviously fabricated pretext, and all the subsequent court rulings where he sided with the liberals amidst constant rumoring that Obama must have something on him.As I contemplated this relative to the four-year anti-Trump rolling coup – in which all the key players have been increasingly exposed for their links to home-grown Marxism and/or allegiance to the Chinese Communist Party – I was reminded of the Biblical prophecy of Hebrews 12:18-29 often paraphrased “everything than can be shaken will be shaken.” That describes today’s emerging civil war between patriotic Constitutionalists, and a vast web of criminal co-conspirators infesting our key institutions (led, I believe, by Obama). As the MAGA movement gathers on the battlefield for a final showdown of good and evil that will decide the fate of America, everything that can be shaken is being shaken. There are striking parallels between these current events, and the prophecy of 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12.“1 Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ…we ask you, 2not to be soon shaken in mind…as if…the day of Christ had come. 3Let no one deceive you…for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed…who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped…7For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. 8And then the lawless one will be revealed…9The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, 10and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, 12that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.”In 1947 the US Supreme Court did in fact set itself “above all that is called God or that is worshiped” in the case of Everson v Board of Education, by making itself arbiter over the claims of all religions and requiring government to treat them all equally. That ended America’s legal status as “one nation under God”  and replaced it with Secular Humanism (the religion of Marxism). In June, 1961, the same “swing Justice” Hugo Black wrote the majority opinion in Torcaso v Watkins defining Atheism as a religion equal to belief in God, empowering the Marxists to use the “equal protection” clause to purge Christianity from public life (staring with school prayer in ‘63). Importantly, this occurred between May 1945 and August 1961 while the United States (the dominant Allied power), had defacto legal possession of the Pergamum Altar (the literal “Seat of Satan” of Revelation 2) in conquered Germany, until the Berlin Wall made it the property of the Soviet Union. Since then the “mystery of lawlessness” in America has so fully matured that “unrighteous deception” has ensnared millions of Americans in a “strong delusion.” And the total conquest of our nation by the agents of the Father of Lies (John 8:44) is prevented only by “He who now restrains…until He is taken out of the way.” That’s unarguably Trump in today’s political context, even if the prophecy means something else. And IF Trump (the last political barrier to the Marxist plot to “fundamentally transform America”) is taken out of the way, who do we all then expect to emerge as the mastermind of the campaign of lawlessness? Obama! Whom many (including me) have named an Antichrist if not necessarily the Antichrist of 2 Thessalonians 2.Have you been asking yourself how it is possible that so many people in power can be this corrupt? That is the “mystery of lawlessness.” Have you been tempted to deny the obvious conspiracy-in-fact of the elites and dismiss it as a “conspiracy ‘theory’ ” because you want so much for it not to be true? Is a new steroid treatment a miracle solution for COVID-19—or is it snake oil?

Everything’s bigger in Texas, as those of us who grew up there like to say, and we’ve been known to enjoy telling the occasional tall tale. Is a recently discussed potential treatment for COVID-19 one of those, or is the fast-talking Texan behind the claim really onto something?

Richard Bartlett made waves in a July 2 interview that already has racked up 4.1 million views online. In the interview, Bartlett, who has practiced medicine for 28 years and was part of former Texas Gov. Rick Perry’s Health Disparities Task Force, boasted a 100% survival rate for his patients since March by using his treatment strategy, centered around an inhaled steroid called budesonide. 

“We have cracked the case,” the doctor said. He emphatically doubled down in an interview last week: “The cat is out of the bag. We have an answer for this. We don’t need another answer.”

How can you protect what you can’t see?

Well, with COVID-19, nothing has been that simple. But the “silver bullet,” as Bartlett called it, isn’t new at all, which is part of what makes it so intriguing. And despite very reasonable pushback from some sectors of the medical community, it’s worth a closer look.

For more than 20 years, doctors have prescribed budesonide, an anti-inflammatory, as preventive medicine for asthmatics. Inhaled corticosteroids, in fact, have been used for some time in patients of all ages, and very safely. On a theoretical basis, employing steroids to fight COVID-19 makes practical sense.

Here’s why: Scientists have learned that the morbidity from this disease occurs not only because of the devastating effects of the virus, but also from an inflammatory state that begins about a week or so into the illness. If physicians can interfere before this cascade of inflammation begins, the theory goes, we might prevent the disease from progressing in severity, and keep patients out of hospitals, intensive care units, and morgues.

Besides the budesonide, Bartlett’s cocktail includes an antibiotic called clarithromycin, along with zinc (to enhance immune function) and low-dose aspirin (to help prevent clotting issues seen with the disease). He recommends beginning twice-daily treatments early—even before a COVID-19 test result has been returned—via a nebulizer machine. A nebulizer deposits the medicine directly into the lungs, specifically targeting tissue locally, and thus prevents many of the systemic side effects that come from taking steroid medicines by mouth or intravenously.

We use steroids to treat many diseases, like rheumatoid arthritis and lupus, as well as allergic reactions, precisely to reduce inflammation. And a recently published study noted significantly lower death rates both in seriously ill COVID-19 patients and in patients needing oxygen when they were given intravenous steroids.

The supporting science for inhaled steroids, though, remains sketchy. Bartlett has written a paper with case reports describing favorable outcomes for two of his patients with the regimen, and he associates low COVID-19 death rates in South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, and Singapore partly with their purported use of inhaled corticosteroids. But evidence of that is scant, and other news sources attribute the successes to aggressive action on travel restrictions, mask wearing, testing, and contact tracing with strict quarantining—not budesonide.

As for inhaled steroids in the treatment of COVID-19, we mostly have case reports and lab data rather than human trials. Japanese and Chinesephysicians have each published case reports on three patients with confirmed COVID-19 who improved after receiving an inhaled steroid called ciclesonide. In the U.S., in a lab study, researchers showed that budesonide inhibited the ability of a different coronavirus (one of the causes of the common cold) to replicate itself and inflame the airways. But the truth is that we do not have any randomized studies yet of inhaled steroid use in actual COVID-19 patients. Several such randomized control trials—the gold standard—are underway in France, Sweden, Spain, and the U.K.

Assessing risk is critical here. The primary concern is that if one suppresses the body’s immune response with steroids too early in the course of COVID-19, the viral aspect of the disease may worsen. That could lead to more severe pneumonia, among other possibilities. Studies have shown that patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) who received inhaled steroids had higher incidences of pneumonia, and both asthmatic and COPD patients were more prone to upper respiratory infections when inhaled steroids were given.

So did Richard Bartlett find a silver bullet, or is it snake oil? We’ll know with more certainty in several months, when some of these trials conclude. In the meantime, though, it’s important to remember that doctors do sometimes use medicines “off label,” or for conditions other than what they are intended to treat. That’s exactly what Bartlett is doing, and he says he will continue.

A new and lethal virus like COVID-19 requires us as physicians to follow the science, of course, but we are also duty bound to listen to doctors on the front line and around the world. Their work with experimental treatments, especially while using medications with long track records of safety, may well prove critical in the interim.

This does not give everyone the opportunity to create their own destiny using their God-given talents to rise to the level of their endeavor. 
This denies each man and woman the freedom and opportunities to be all their Creator intended for them to be.
When their leaders told us the USA is no longer a Christian nation and we don’t need God because we have the elite, progressive Left, there was no thundering outcry from the Church.

What is striking in the magisterium and in the main acts of this latest phase of Francis’s pontificate is the eclipsing of that “overriding priority” which for his predecessor Benedict XVI is the “overriding priority” more than ever before, at a time “when in vast areas of the world the faith is in danger of dying out like a flame which no longer has fuel.”

That is, the priority – as the pope had written in his March 10, 2009 letter to the bishops – “of making God present in this world and giving men access to God. Not to any sort of god, but to that God who spoke on Sinai, to that God whose face we recognize in love driven to the very end, in Jesus crucified and risen.”

Christmas is approaching. But of the God who was born in Bethlehem there is only the slightest trace in Francis’s latest encyclical, “Brothers all,” to the point that an eminent philosopher like Salvatore Natoli has instead seen in it the image of a Jesus who is “nothing other than a man,” whose noble mission was simply to show men that “in their mutual self-giving they have the possibility of becoming ‘gods’ in the manner of Spinoza: ‘homo homini deus’.”

Also startling is the complete silence on God in the video message with which Francis launched – and is now putting into action in conjunction with the United Nations – the “Global Compact on Education,” an ambitious plan he has offered to “all public figures” engaged in the field of education worldwide, to whatever religion they may belong.

In the plan, the watchwords are wholly and solely secular. The dominant formula is “new humanism,” with its trappings of “common home,” “universal solidarity,” “fraternity,” “convergence,” “welcome” … Neither more nor less than for that other worldwide network of “Scholas Occurrentes” created by Jorge Mario Bergoglio in Argentina and then promoted by him, as pope, to a foundation of pontifical right based in Vatican City.

And the same thing is happening in that other pontifical initiative entitled “Economy of Francesco,” in which the pope, putting on the habit of his homonymous saint of Assisi, proposes to the world nothing less than “a pact to change the current economy,” and indeed to radically overthrow it in the wake of the “popular movements,” only to select just afterward as partner in the initiative the “Council for Inclusive Capitalism,” meaning the magnates of the Ford Foundation, Johnson & Johnson, Mastercard, Bank of America, the Rockefeller Foundation, and the like.

And God? Pope Bergoglio’s critics can always be answered – as has been written – with the claim that “the whole traditional Trinitarian and Christological doctrine” is “presupposed” in him, and “does not necessarily have to be repeated verbatim and in full.”

But this was certainly not the choice of Benedict XVI. Who also as pope emeritus, in his “Notes” offered to the reigning pope in the run-up to the summit on sexual abuse in February 2019, once again strongly affirmed that one must “put God first, not take him for granted.”

As a matter of fact, in those “Notes” Joseph Ratzinger once again pointed to forgetfulness of God as the ultimate cause of the Church’s current crisis, in the sphere of sex but not only there.

Bringing back up and commenting on this last capital text from Ratzinger – including his written response to the objections of the German theologian Birgit Aschmann – is a recently released multi-author book edited by Livio Melina, former president of the pontifical John Paul II institute on marriage and family, and Tracey Rowland, the Australian theologian awarded this year with the “Joseph Ratzinger” prize:

“DON’T PRESUPPOSE GOD, PRIORITIZE HIM”

The primacy of God in Joseph Ratzinger’s theology

The key question that Joseph Ratzinger addresses in his theology is that of the truth of Christianity. We can summarize it like this: the ancient Church opted for the God of the philosophers – specifically of Greek philosophy – while distancing itself from the gods of the religions. This choice, already prepared in the Old Testament and particularly in its Greek translation referred to as of the “Seventy,” highlighted the truth of Christianity, the truth that Greek philosophy was looking for, while the pagan religions appeared to be increasingly devoid of it. That is, Christianity presented itself as the true philosophy. As Tertullian masterfully stated, “Christ claimed to be the truth, not custom.” This was a matter of a strongly missionary choice, which made the faith understandable to all.

At the same time the ancient Church kept intact the difference that distinguishes the biblical God from the God of the philosophers: the biblical God is the God who has a name, who can be approached and prayed to; he is therefore the eminently personal God with whom we can relate. He is the God who is not pure thought but is inseparably thought and love, the God who cares about each one of us, who goes in search of the lost sheep and rejoices over the sinner who repents; indeed, the God who takes our sins upon himself and thus saves us. Unlike the God of the philosophers who relates only to himself, he is the God who is absolute but at the same time is relationship, omnipotence that creates, sustains, and loves that which is distinct from him.

The option for the God of the philosophers, while not reducing him to this God, allowed Christianity to overcome the divorce between rationality and religion that plagued the ancient world. In fact the God of reason is now a God who can be the object of prayer, the God of the philosophers is now the savior God that man needs. In Ratzinger’s view, the option for the God of philosophers, together with the reconciliation between rationality and religion, is at the basis of Christianity’s victory in the ancient world.

REASON, FAITH, AND LIFE IN ANCIENT CHRISTIANITY

A second reason, of equal importance, for this victory consisted in the moral validity of Christianity. What God demands of men coincides with that which is good by nature and which every man carries written in his heart, so that when it is presented to him he recognizes it as a good, according to the words of the apostle Paul about the pagans who, while not having the Law, “by nature act according to the Law” (Rom 2:14-15).

In this way the fundamental critical unity with philosophical rationality present in the Christian concept of God is confirmed and embodied in the critical unity with philosophical morality, specifically Stoic. But also, just as Christianity went beyond the limits of the philosophical concept of God, so also did  ethical theory turn into a community moral practice lived and put to work, thanks in particular to the concentration of all morality in the twofold commandment of love of God and love of neighbor.

We can therefore say that Christianity was convincing by virtue of the bond of faith with reason and the orientation of action towards “caritas,” loving care for the suffering, the poor, and the weak, beyond any difference in social condition. In other words, the force that transformed Christianity into a world religion consisted in the synthesis between reason, faith, and life, a synthesis that is condensed in the expression “religio vera.” […]

THE RUPTURE OF THE MODERN AGE

The synthesis between reason, faith, and life that decreed the victory of Christianity long remained alive and effective in the changing historical situations. In recent centuries, however, this synthesis has gradually weakened and is no longer convincing. In today’s Europe rationality and Christianity are often regarded as contradictory and mutually exclusive. Thus Christianity has come to find itself in a profound crisis, based on the crisis of its claim to truth. Ratzinger wonders why this has happened and what specifically has changed, both in Christianity and in rationality.

As far as Christianity is concerned, the answer is that contrary to its nature it had become tradition and state religion, while the voice of reason had been excessively domesticated. It is the merit of the modern Enlightenment to have re-proposed some of the original values ​​of Christianity and to have given reason back its own voice. Vatican Council II highlighted anew the profound correspondence between Christianity and the Enlightenment, seeking to arrive at a true reconciliation between the Church and modernity, which is the great heritage to be safeguarded on both sides.

However, the main and decisive change came from the side of rationality. The relational unity between reason and faith, to which Thomas Aquinas had given a systematic form, has been increasingly torn apart through the main stages of modern thought, up to today’s cultural situation, characterized by the primacy of science and technology: there is a widespread claim that the only truly valid knowledge is that of science. In this context, the theory of evolution has come to take on the role of a sort of worldview or “first philosophy,” which on the one hand would be rigorously scientific and on the other would constitute, at least potentially, a universal explanation or theory of all reality, beyond which further questions about the origin and nature of things would no longer be necessary or even legitimate. The statement “In the beginning was the Logos” is therefore overturned, setting up as the origin of all matter-energy chance and necessity. The final outcome is therefore atheism.

THE DISAPPEARANCE OF THE TRUTH

In today’s culture such positions are contested from various directions because they disregard the intrinsic limits of scientific knowledge. But Ratzinger observes that, due to that great change on account of which, from Kant onwards, our reason is no longer considered capable of knowing reality in itself, and above all transcendent reality, the alternative to scientism with the most cultural support today is not the primacy of the Logos, but the idea that “latet omne verum,” all truth is hidden, that is, that the true reality of God remains completely inaccessible and unknowable to us: in this case the final outcome is agnosticism. This restores citizenship in the Western world to the approach to the divine typical of the great Eastern religions or worldviews, similar to that which, in the first centuries of the Christian era, Neoplatonism had tried to propose as an alternative to Christianity.

On the other hand, just as the Christian faith is embodied in a precise form of life and ethics, similarly the forms of rationality that tend to replace Christianity are expressed in concrete ethical guidelines. If “all truth is hidden,” on a practical level the fundamental value becomes that of tolerance. If, on the other hand, the theory that explains everything is evolutionism, the basis of ethics will be natural selection, the struggle for survival and the victory of the strongest.

FOR A COMEBACK OF REASON

For Ratzinger, the true objective of this analysis is naturally to seek the avenues of a new agreement of reason and freedom with Christianity, which means proposing the saving truth of the God of Jesus Christ to the reason of our time.

To this end it is first of all necessary to “widen the scope of rationality.” The limitation of reason to what can be experienced and calculated is right and necessary in the context of the natural sciences and constitutes the key to their unceasing development, but if it is universalized and absolutized it becomes unsustainable, inhuman, and ultimately contradictory. In fact, man could no longer rationally inquire into the essential realities of his life, its origin and destiny, moral good and evil, but would have to leave these decisive problems to a sentiment detached from reason. Thus, fatally, the human subject is reduced to a product of nature, as such not free: there is therefore a complete overturning of the point of departure of modern culture, which consisted in the vindication of man and his freedom.

Exploring the topic, Ratzinger observes that the real alternative we are facing is whether reason is an accidental and secondary product of the irrational, or is instead at the origin of everything. The intelligibility of nature, which is the presupposition of scientific knowledge itself, requires the existence of a creative intelligence and thus demonstrates that the fundamental conviction of the Christian faith remains valid even today, “In principio erat Verbum.”

As regards agnosticism in particular, we must ask ourselves whether this is concretely achievable. The question of God is not in fact purely theoretical but eminently practical, it has consequences in all areas of our life. Even if in theory I adhere to agnosticism, in practice I am still forced to choose between two alternatives: either to live as if God does not exist, practically adopting an atheist position, or to live as if God exists and is the decisive reality of my existence,  adopting a de facto position of belief. The question of God is therefore unavoidable and agnosticism turns out to be unattainable. Attempts to do without God are therefore doomed to failure, both theoretically and practically: only by according God the first place can our reason recover its expansiveness. […]

IN A “STRANGE SEMI-DARKNESS,” THE ADVENT OF GOD

But the appreciation of reason in Ratzinger’s  theology is by no means of a rationalistic type. On the contrary, he maintains that neo-scholasticism’s attempt to demonstrate the truth of the premises of faith – the “praeambula fidei” – through a reasoning independent of faith itself has failed, and that any similar attempts are doomed to fail. In fact, especially in the current cultural climate, man remains a prisoner of a “strange semi-darkness” that weighs on the question of the eternal realities: in order for a true relationship with God to arise, God himself must take the initiative to seek man out and address him.

Reason alone is therefore not enough, it is not self-sufficient. Just as faith needs reason, so also reason needs faith in order to be healed as reason and to be brought back to itself, in order to see clearly again.

Building a new relationship between faith and reason is the great task that lies ahead of us. A task that, despite all the current difficulties, we can face with confidence because “only the God who has made himself finite in order to tear through our finiteness and lead it to the expansiveness of his infinity is capable of meeting the demands of our being.” Once again the primacy of God and of the salvific initiative undertaken by him in Jesus Christ is all of a piece with the vindication of the truth of Christianity.

Greatest Wealth Transfer in History Is Underway

While the Great Reset plan is being sold as a way to make life fair and equitable for all, the required sacrifices do not apply to the technocrats running the system.

On the contrary, as noted by Patrick Wood in his recent interview with James Delingpole, featured in “Technocracy and the Great Reset,” the wealth distribution and circular economies promoted by the technocratic elite will never benefit the people, because what they’re really referring to is the redistribution of wealth from the people, to themselves.

Evidence of this can be seen in the decision to allow big box stores to remain open during the pandemic while forcing small businesses to close, no matter how small the infection risk. 

There’s really no rhyme or reason for such a decision, other than to shift wealth away from small, private business owners to multinational corporations. Walmart and Target, for example, report record sales this year⁴ while more than half of all small business owners fear their businesses won’t survive.⁵

Yelp’s September 2020 economic impact report showed that, as of August 31, 2020, 163,735 U.S. businesses had closed and 60% of them are permanent closures.⁶ Similarly, while working-class Americans filed for unemployment by the tens of millions, the five richest men in the U.S. — Jeff Bezos, Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Warren Buffett and Larry Ellison — grew their wealth by a total of $101.7 billion (26%), between March 18 and June 17, 2020, alone.⁷

Since the beginning of the pandemic, the collective wealth of 651 billionaires in the U.S. rose by more than $1 trillion (36%).⁸ To put their current wealth in perspective, the assets of these 651 billionaires is nearly double that of the combined wealth of the least wealthy 165 million Americans. As noted by Frank Clemente, executive director of Americans for Tax Fairness, “Never before has America seen such an accumulation of wealth in so few hands.”⁹

That’s technocratic wealth redistribution for you. Ultimately, the Great Reset will result in two tiers or people: the technocratic elite, who have all the power and rule over all assets, and the rest of humanity, who have no power, no assets and no voice. 

That the COVID-19 pandemic is a form of class war is also evident in the way rules are enforced. While citizens are threatened with fines and arrest if they don’t do as they’re told, those who lay down the rules repeatedly break them without repercussions.

The PCR Test Hoax

The reason technocratic world leaders and their loyal minions are now calling for the cancellation of Christmas is — as illustrated in our Christmas parody above — because of PCR testing. The number of positive tests are reportedly on the rise, which is said to be proof that the infection is spreading out of control.

However, evidence shows there’s no relationship between positive tests and deaths, and the reason for this is because the false positive rate for the PCR test is extraordinarily high. We’re simply quarantining and preventing healthy people who pose no risk to anyone from living their lives.

A September 28, 2020, study¹⁰ in Clinical Infectious Diseases revealed that when you run a PCR test at a cycle threshold (CT, i.e., the amplification rate) of 35 cycles or higher, the accuracy drops to 3%, resulting in a 97% false positive rate. 

According to an April 2020 study¹¹ in the European Journal of Clinical Microbiology & Infectious Diseases, to get 100% confirmed real positives, the PCR test must be run at no more than 17 amplification cycles. 

Meanwhile, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommend running PCR tests at a CT of 40,¹² and Drosten tests and tests recommended by the World Health Organization are set to a CT of 45. 

By using CTs known to result in false positives, you end up with the appearance of widespread infection, which is then used to keep the pandemic measures going. In reality, COVID-19 has not resulted in excess deaths^13,14,15 and were it not for the fact that it’s being used as a cover for the Great Reset, life would have returned to normal months ago.

According to Dr. Roger Hodkinson, one of Canada’s top pathologists and an expert in virology, the COVID-19 pandemic is the “greatest hoax ever perpetrated on an unsuspecting public.”¹⁶ Hodkinson is the CEO of Western Medical Assessments, a biotech company that manufactures COVID-19 PCR tests.

Michael Yeadon, Ph.D., a former vice-president and chief scientific adviser of the drug company Pfizer and founder/CEO of the biotech company Ziarco, is also speaking out about how fraudulent PCR testing is being used to manufacture the appearance of a pandemic that doesn’t really exist, as are Dr. Lee Merritt, members of the German Corona Extra-Parliamentary Inquiry Committee^17,18 and many others.

What Vaccines Have to Do With It 

If you need more evidence that we’re in the middle of a technocratic takeover, look no further than the mass vaccination agenda and the promotion of fake, lab-grown meat. Bill Gates, another frontline technocrat, has repeatedly stated that we have no choice but to vaccinate everyone against COVID-19.

Naturally, he’s heavily invested in said vaccine and stands to gain handsomely from a global mass vaccination campaign. Technocrats are nothing if not self-serving, all while pretending to be do-gooders — much like COVID Claus in our little video. 

But the vaccine program isn’t just about selling vaccines. It’s also a way to implement a global biological surveillance network (which is also why 5G is being rolled out across the globe). 

The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has funded and promoted a new delivery method for the COVID-19 vaccine that uses a microneedle array rather than conventional injection.¹⁹ The microneedles are equipped with fluorescent quantum dot tags. The resulting invisible mark can then be read by a smartphone equipped with a special sensor. This mark will also allow government to track you.

Eventually, your personal identification, medical records, finances and who knows what else, will all be tied together and embedded somewhere on or in your body. Every possible aspect of your biology and life activities will be trackable 24/7. You will also be digitally tied into the internet of things, which eventually will include smart cities.

All the different parts of this giant population control grid fit together like pieces of a jigsaw puzzle. The global vaccination agenda ties into the biometric identity agenda, which ties into the cashless society agenda, which ties into the social credit system agenda, which ties into the social engineering agenda and so on.

When you follow this experiment to its ultimate conclusion, you find all of humanity enslaved within a digitized prison with no way out. Those who rebel will simply have their digital-everything restricted or shut down. 

Fake Meat Is Part of the Reset Too

The rise of fake, lab-grown meat is a puzzle piece of the Great Reset agenda too. According to the World Economic Forum, lab-grown, cultured meat is a more sustainable alternative to conventional livestock, and in the future, we’ll all be eating a lot less meat. As noted on its website:²⁰

Our LA consumption 150 years ago was between 2 and 3 grams per day. Today it is 10 to 20 times higher. If fake meat becomes a staple, the average LA intake is bound to increase even further. 

Make a Christmas Vow to Undo the Great Reset

The Great Reset is well underway, but it’s not yet too late to stop it. Enough people have to see it and understand it, though. And then they must act. If we want to prevent the Great Reset from destroying life as we know it, we must view civil disobedience as a duty. We must resist it from every angle.

We must reclaim our sovereignty, our right to live free, to open our businesses and move about freely. We must communicate with our elected leaders and demand they not infringe on our constitutional rights. We have to engage in political processes and help educate our local sheriffs of their role as defenders of the constitution. We may also need to support legal challenges.

A small step in the right direction that you can take right now would be to celebrate Christmas like you normally would this week, and not allow the Klaus Schwabs and Bill Gateses of the world rob you of valuable time with family and friends. 

There are no guarantees in this life, and for many, this will be their last Christmas. So, spend it well. Cherish life by actually living it and spending it with those you love. Refusing to give up our humanity is how we resist the Great Reset.

Greatest Wealth Transfer in History Is Underway

While the Great Reset plan is being sold as a way to make life fair and equitable for all, the required sacrifices do not apply to the technocrats running the system.

On the contrary, as noted by Patrick Wood in his recent interview with James Delingpole, featured in “Technocracy and the Great Reset,” the wealth distribution and circular economies promoted by the technocratic elite will never benefit the people, because what they’re really referring to is the redistribution of wealth from the people, to themselves.

Evidence of this can be seen in the decision to allow big box stores to remain open during the pandemic while forcing small businesses to close, no matter how small the infection risk. 

There’s really no rhyme or reason for such a decision, other than to shift wealth away from small, private business owners to multinational corporations. Walmart and Target, for example, report record sales this year⁴ while more than half of all small business owners fear their businesses won’t survive.⁵

Yelp’s September 2020 economic impact report showed that, as of August 31, 2020, 163,735 U.S. businesses had closed and 60% of them are permanent closures.⁶ Similarly, while working-class Americans filed for unemployment by the tens of millions, the five richest men in the U.S. — Jeff Bezos, Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Warren Buffett and Larry Ellison — grew their wealth by a total of $101.7 billion (26%), between March 18 and June 17, 2020, alone.⁷

Since the beginning of the pandemic, the collective wealth of 651 billionaires in the U.S. rose by more than $1 trillion (36%).⁸ To put their current wealth in perspective, the assets of these 651 billionaires is nearly double that of the combined wealth of the least wealthy 165 million Americans. As noted by Frank Clemente, executive director of Americans for Tax Fairness, “Never before has America seen such an accumulation of wealth in so few hands.”⁹

That’s technocratic wealth redistribution for you. Ultimately, the Great Reset will result in two tiers or people: the technocratic elite, who have all the power and rule over all assets, and the rest of humanity, who have no power, no assets and no voice. 

That the COVID-19 pandemic is a form of class war is also evident in the way rules are enforced. While citizens are threatened with fines and arrest if they don’t do as they’re told, those who lay down the rules repeatedly break them without repercussions.

The PCR Test Hoax

The reason technocratic world leaders and their loyal minions are now calling for the cancellation of Christmas is — as illustrated in our Christmas parody above — because of PCR testing. The number of positive tests are reportedly on the rise, which is said to be proof that the infection is spreading out of control.

However, evidence shows there’s no relationship between positive tests and deaths, and the reason for this is because the false positive rate for the PCR test is extraordinarily high. We’re simply quarantining and preventing healthy people who pose no risk to anyone from living their lives.

A September 28, 2020, study¹⁰ in Clinical Infectious Diseases revealed that when you run a PCR test at a cycle threshold (CT, i.e., the amplification rate) of 35 cycles or higher, the accuracy drops to 3%, resulting in a 97% false positive rate. 

According to an April 2020 study¹¹ in the European Journal of Clinical Microbiology & Infectious Diseases, to get 100% confirmed real positives, the PCR test must be run at no more than 17 amplification cycles. 

Meanwhile, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommend running PCR tests at a CT of 40,¹² and Drosten tests and tests recommended by the World Health Organization are set to a CT of 45. 

By using CTs known to result in false positives, you end up with the appearance of widespread infection, which is then used to keep the pandemic measures going. In reality, COVID-19 has not resulted in excess deaths^13,14,15 and were it not for the fact that it’s being used as a cover for the Great Reset, life would have returned to normal months ago.

According to Dr. Roger Hodkinson, one of Canada’s top pathologists and an expert in virology, the COVID-19 pandemic is the “greatest hoax ever perpetrated on an unsuspecting public.”¹⁶ Hodkinson is the CEO of Western Medical Assessments, a biotech company that manufactures COVID-19 PCR tests.

Michael Yeadon, Ph.D., a former vice-president and chief scientific adviser of the drug company Pfizer and founder/CEO of the biotech company Ziarco, is also speaking out about how fraudulent PCR testing is being used to manufacture the appearance of a pandemic that doesn’t really exist, as are Dr. Lee Merritt, members of the German Corona Extra-Parliamentary Inquiry Committee^17,18 and many others.

What Vaccines Have to Do With It 

If you need more evidence that we’re in the middle of a technocratic takeover, look no further than the mass vaccination agenda and the promotion of fake, lab-grown meat. Bill Gates, another frontline technocrat, has repeatedly stated that we have no choice but to vaccinate everyone against COVID-19.

Naturally, he’s heavily invested in said vaccine and stands to gain handsomely from a global mass vaccination campaign. Technocrats are nothing if not self-serving, all while pretending to be do-gooders — much like COVID Claus in our little video. 

But the vaccine program isn’t just about selling vaccines. It’s also a way to implement a global biological surveillance network (which is also why 5G is being rolled out across the globe). 

The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has funded and promoted a new delivery method for the COVID-19 vaccine that uses a microneedle array rather than conventional injection.¹⁹ The microneedles are equipped with fluorescent quantum dot tags. The resulting invisible mark can then be read by a smartphone equipped with a special sensor. This mark will also allow government to track you.

Eventually, your personal identification, medical records, finances and who knows what else, will all be tied together and embedded somewhere on or in your body. Every possible aspect of your biology and life activities will be trackable 24/7. You will also be digitally tied into the internet of things, which eventually will include smart cities.

All the different parts of this giant population control grid fit together like pieces of a jigsaw puzzle. The global vaccination agenda ties into the biometric identity agenda, which ties into the cashless society agenda, which ties into the social credit system agenda, which ties into the social engineering agenda and so on.

When you follow this experiment to its ultimate conclusion, you find all of humanity enslaved within a digitized prison with no way out. Those who rebel will simply have their digital-everything restricted or shut down.
